SCYTHE BEAST’s New Album “Anthem of the Rotten” Out Now

SCYTHE BEAST was founded in 2012 by Sven Stoppelberg (guitar, bass, vocals, lyrics, and
songwriting) and “Koopie” (producer/engineer) as a project to give a proper birthday shout-out to a mutual friend. However, it was already clear that a fierce beast was blowing out the candles on the cake! And the beast had a mighty appetite!

After completing the line-up, the band released debut album “Breeding Devastation” (2016) and then second full length “Indicted for Misconception” (2021).

Scythe Beast is live the complete package for every neck owner: sometimes slow and dragging, then again with the gas pedal pressed to the floor on the fast lane. Sometimes melodic, and immediately followed by a heavy riff barrage. Here, you still scream with heart!

Music for the upcoming album was recorded, mixed & mastered by Day “Koopie” Dysirrah. Cover artwork was done by Susi from sue_real_surreal. Album titled “Anthem of the Rotten” was released on physical format (October 25, 2025) and digitally (October 27, 2025) as independent release.

Copenhagen’s instrumental psych voyagers PAPIR unveil the sprawling opener “IX.I” from their upcoming album IX, out November 21st on Stickman Records!

With a sound that’s as fluid as it is focused, PAPIR continue to push their own boundaries. the first single “IX.I” sets the tone as a perfect introduction to their forthcoming sonic journey: a track that breathes, pulses, and stretches out in all the right ways. Terms like post-rock, ambient rock, psychedelia, and krautrock may circle PAPIR‘s distinct sound, but none quite capture its shimmering, elusive magic.

With touches of synth and extra percussion sprinkled in, it’s a record that feels alive in the moment, yet meticulously crafted.

CLOSE ENEMIES Unveil Music Video for Single ‘More Than I Could Ever Need’

Close Enemies, a powerhouse band featuring legendary musicians Tom Hamilton, multiple Grammy winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, and bassist of the biggest-selling American rock band of all time, Aerosmith, is joined by legendary drummer Tony Brock (The Babys and Rod Stewart), touring veterans Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow and Don Henley) and Trace Foster on guitar, and singer Chasen Hampton, who has been singing professionally since the age of 11, as a member and co-host of the famed 90s Mickey Mouse Club and pop group The Party, unveiled their music video for single “More Than I Could Ever Need” through TLG|ROCK, distributed through Virgin Music Group.  

The video was directed by acclaimed visual artist Tom Flynn.

“We spent a day shooting a video for an upcoming song from the album and finished with about an hour until we had to be out of the studio. We needed a lyric video for ‘More Than I Could Ever Need’, and asked the director, Tom Flynn if we could do something. Fifteen minutes later he had the studio ready and we did a few takes. Two days later he sent the finished product and we were knocked out! He captured the atmosphere of the song and the look of the band so well we could hardly believe it. We hope you like it too. We’re looking forward to working with him again especially since unlike most video shoots it was pain free!” shares Tom Hamilton. 

“More Than I Could Ever Need” is a deeply personal and haunting rock ballad written by Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton along with the band as a tribute to his wife of almost 50 years. The song is a moving ode to commitment, passion, and the kind of love that only gets stronger with time. 

Close Enemies have announced upcoming tour dates under the banner “An Evening with Close Enemies – Live in Concert.” Fans can expect an intimate experience showcasing the band’s undeniable chemistry with a setlist centered around their outstanding and critically acclaimed new songs, along with classic rockers from Aerosmith and The Babys.

ANOTHER REALM release a new single ‘If Worlds Collide’, taken from their upcoming album “Origin”, coming out on 14th November via Demolition Records.

Another Realm is a new symphonic rock/metal project created by guitarist/composer/producer Steven Morrison (Tysondog) and vocalist/songwriter Philip Stuckey (Stuckfish).
 
Their second album ‘Origin’ has been created with a dark fantasy driven story concept based on the creation of the world and its subsequent evolution. ‘Origin’ follows on from the release of their debut, self titled album ‘Another Realm’.

THE VICE Unleash First Single/Video ‘Cardinal Tropes’ from Upcoming EP

Stockholm-based dark metal four-piece THE VICE has announced the release of their brand new 3-track EP “The Red Tape Sessions”, set to drop on December 5 via Noble Demon.

With the track “Cardinal Tropes”, the band offers a first glimpse of what’s to come. The single is accompanied by a striking music video, available to watch below.

THE VICE about the song: “Sometimes things don’t have to be too complicated, pretentious. ‘Cardinal Tropes’ began with only a couple of lines spat out on top of a simple, cool rhythm. Those first few seconds made it very clear as to what kind of a song it was going to be, so writing and arranging the rest was nothing but smooth sailing. And the end result is a dazzling display of The Vice firing on all cylinders, a purple freaking haze of mean rock ‘n’ roll, dark metal, self-indulgence and a juvenile tenacity to always take the road less traveled.“
