Finnish Cardinal Fleet has released their debut EP “Surfaces” today. It’s a diverse and ambitious journey into the soundscapes of heavier music.
The band tells about the EP:
“Surfaces is a five-track collection that explores the diversity and contrasts of heavy music. Each track is its own world – separate yet part of the same whole. The EP takes the listener on a journey through different moods and styles, combining experimentalism and familiar metal music tones in surprising ways.
Although the songs differ in sound and mood, they are united by a cohesive production style and natural riffs. Each track reveals a different surface, yet they all share a unified direction and a deep soundscape.
This EP is for those who seek surprises, depth and new experiences in music. ‘Surfaces’ invites you to explore every layer of it – there is always something new beneath the surface.”
Nashville based, blues-infused Southern Rockers Parker Barrow return to the music scene with their long-awaited new single “Make It” on Friday April 11th. The single is available on all streaming platforms HERE and is accompanied by a music video on YouTube HERE.
To coincide with the news, the band is excited to announce a series of July 2025 UK tourdates including a performance at Maid of Stone Festival on Sunday July 20. The band will also play Chester Live Rooms (July 17), Nottingham Bodega (July 18), and London, The Grace (July 19). Tickets are available from www.weareparkerbarrow.com/tour.
The band’s 2023 debut album Jukebox Gypsies featured prominently on “Best of 2023” lists. Now, the Nashville blues rockers return guns a blazing with one of their most exciting new songs to date entitled “Make It” featuring the unforgettable vocals of Megan Kane.
Written and composed by Dylan Turner (drums) and Alex Bender (guitar), “Make It” is the first track released from the band’s highly anticipated album due later this year.
Parker Barrow’s name is taken from Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow; the infamous American bank robbers during the early 1930’s Great Depression.
Parker Barrow is a high energy, blues-infused southern rock ‘n’ roll band led by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums). A chance encounter brought Kane and Turner together in 2019, when Turner was searching for a new singer for his band. The pair immediately hit it off, and within two weeks they were on the road together in full time pursuit of a mutual musical dream. The couple have been riding the highs and lows of rock ’n’ roll road life ever since.
In 2023 Parker Barrow expanded with the full-time inclusion of guitarist and musical director Alex Bender. At the foundation of Parker Barrow’s sound is the heavy-handed groove of Turner’s drumming, with Kane’s soulful and electrifying vocals soaring up over the top. The pair’s dynamics are brilliantly stitched together by Alex’s creative riffs and spirited playing throughout the songs.
Parker Barrow’s compelling vintage sound contains elements of rock, southern rock, blues, and soul; but the band’s brand of music is unmistakably and distinctly their own. The band commands an impressive mix of old and new influences threaded throughout their distinctive sound, including the Allman Brothers, the Black Crowes, Blackberry Smoke, Johnny Cash, the Rolling Stones, Tedeschi-Trucks, Whiskey Myers and Led Zeppelin.
Parker Barrow’s 2023 debut album Jukebox Gypsiesreceived rave reviews. “Count Your Dollars” was the first single and video from the album. The official music video for the follow-up single “Back To Birmingham” racked up over a million views on YouTube.
For the new single “Make It,” the band returned to producer Stephen McKnight, who was also responsible for producing their debut album, Jukebox Gypsies.
“Make It was a fun song to write,” says Dylan. “It allowed us to show a more playful side of the band both lyrically and musically. The song is a sweet concoction of heavy drums, loud guitars and screaming vocals. The time changes give us room to balance the groove and high energy swing feel that are both so prominent in classic southern rock ‘n’ roll.”
“We knew right from the jump that Make It would be the first single for the new album,” adds Megan. “It had our ‘it’ as a song and we immediately thought of making it (pardon the pun) a staple in our live show – high energy to get ya’ moving with an edginess true to the band’s rock ‘n’ roll spirit.”
Alex adds “Sometimes songs can take weeks, months or even years to complete, and we found the process in this case to be the contrary. Make It came together quickly. We really enjoyed the process of writing and recording Make It and feel that the track encompasses what Parker Barrow is all about.”
A video for “Make It” was shot on location in Nashville, and was directed and produced by Keith Leman, whose credentials include Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Morgan Wade, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker, Kenny Chesney and Willie Nelson.
Booked worldwide by Intrepid Artists International, Parker Barrow has become well known for their electrifying, full throttle live shows where no two performances are the same and their songs are often infused with extended jams that move seamlessly through the emotional spectrum.
This year, the band are on the road in the US performing concerts with Robert Jon & the Wreck, Them Dirty Roses, the Kentucky Headhunters, and Feel. Parker Barrow’s shows have become legendary. They are a well-oiled rock ’n’ roll machine on stage with a captivating live presence and infectious energy. Don’t miss your chance to catch them live!
“Parker Barrow combines power-hungry beats, nail-tough guitars, all-pro vocals, and an impossible-to-ignore emotional fire into new rock music that comes across as genuine and true.” – Rock and Blues Muse

Scandinavian symphonic rock powerhouse Symphony Of Sweden returns with a bold sonic shift in their brand-new single, “Get Lost In The Feeling,” released on April 11th on all major streaming platforms.
With this track, the band invites listeners to break free from whatever holds them back and embrace the power of being unapologetically themselves. “It’s about cutting ties with everything that’s keeping you from being your true self,” says lead vocalist Lee. “Be brave enough to go your own way.”
Musically, “Get Lost In The Feeling” is a return to the band’s classic rock roots, layered with a pulse-pounding “four-on-the-floor” rhythm that feels as energizing as it is defiant. “We wanted to make an uptempo song with a positive, slightly crazy vibe,” says Evan, the band’s keyboardist and producer. “Our last single leaned into electronic elements, but this time we wanted to show fans we haven’t left our origins behind. This one’s a wild ride.”
While the track radiates good energy, the production process was anything but simple. “We did a thousand versions of this one,” Evan admits. “But the moment we brought our live lineup into the studio — with Bullen on drums, Erik Arkö making his studio debut on bass, and Henrik laying down guitar — the pieces finally fell into place.” Henrik’s contributions even earned him a songwriting credit for his role in crafting the explosive middle-eight section.
Lee elaborates on the songwriting process, which often begins with a spark of melody. “They come to me fast, usually in seconds,” he shares. “But the lyrics — they need more time. If I’m not telling a personal story, I want to inspire. There are so many people afraid to speak their mind, to go their own way. I want them to know they’re not alone.”
Despite its upbeat energy, the band insists this isn’t dance music, though it might make your heart race like it is. “We wanted that danceable rhythm but without making it feel like a club track,” Evan says. “It was a tough balance, but I think we nailed it.”
For fans, the single marks a unique blend of the old and new. “It’s like a bridge between our last release and our earlier sound,” Lee reflects. “We love to mix it up — to explore, evolve, and still stay true to who we are.”
So, what’s next for Symphony of Sweden?
“We’re hunkering down this summer to finish a new album,” Evan teases. “So, while live shows may be few for now, we’re laying the groundwork for something big — hopefully a full return to the stage in late 2025 and beyond.”
In the meantime, the band invites you to do exactly what the title says: Get lost in the feeling.
Welcome to the musical world of Symphony Of Sweden!
Coming from the North of Sweden with winter and ice bears all over the place, the music is the other way around. Grand and epic with huge arrangements, the missing link between pop and metal – this is Symphony of Sweden! Add the powerful voice of Linus “Lee” Wester and the creative talent of Pontus “Evan” Hagberg you will have a concept that brings you on a journey from here to eternity.
Symphony Of Sweden is: Pontus „Evan” Hagberg Linus „Lee” Wester
Evan and Lee lived in the same small town up north in Sweden. Lee had his own little service point, betting shop, tobacco store nearby which also happened to be Evan’s local service point where he went to get his parcels. After saying hello to each other for a couple of years, there was one day Evan had a parcel to get – which obviously was music-related. They fell into conversation with each other, a few days later Evan invited Lee to his studio. Evan: „he had found one of my instrumental tracks on Youtube and sang it with a new melody on top and lyrics for me in the studio, right there when he just arrived! I was blown away, and a week later we had our first ever track produced and completed. As soon he sang his first two words in the studio I wanted to work with him!”
The band released their first album, Inner Demons in January 2021, and their second album, Saints Of Yesterday came out on the 3rd of February, 2022. The band’s latest material, Haunted was released on the 7th of February, 2024.
Gothenburg-based alternative metal band DREAM DROP is back with new music. After releasing their third album ACNE SUPERSTAR in late 2023, the band has been working hard on their next project. Now, they’re ready to drop Forgotten, a powerful new single that kicks off an exciting new chapter.
Dream Drop is a band that’s exciting to experience, both live and online. Their explosive stage presence has earned them spots alongside bands like Blood Command, Smash Into Pieces, and STARSET. With a strong online presence and a distinct graphic style, they know how to captivate fans on every platform.
The soundscape in Forgotten is simple and powerful, with a clear “wall of sound” feeling in the choruses. The band has been inspired by 2000s post-hardcore, but has also experimented with samples — in the pre-chorus, for example, you can hear an instrument that sounds like something taken from Middle Eastern folk music.
“The song is an important milestone for us. We’ve held onto it for over a year, refining our sound, and now it feels like we’ve really found our way. It marks the beginning of an upgraded, healthier, and more driven version of Dream Drop. The recording was special because we wanted to capture a more live-sounding feeling, so we tried recording drums and bass together in a long take.” – Dream Drop
