TOMBS Stream New Album “Feral Darkness” Ahead of Release

New Jersey experimental metal collective TOMBS is now streaming their new full-length, ‘Feral Darkness,’ in its entirety via Decibel Magazine! The album is due tomorrow, Friday, October 17, via Redefining Darkness and you can now stream it HERE.

“Wrapped in Seldon Hunt’s cosmic decay and mastered by Andreas Rosczyk, Feral Darkness is an unflinching meditation on mortality, transcendence, and the eternal night that waits beyond the threshold,” says Decibel of ‘Feral Darkness.’

The band is not only returning with a new label, but also with a new sound! While ‘Feral Darkness’ still embraces TOMBS’ black metal roots, it also explores the band’s gothic, death rock side, creating the band’s darkest and most haunting record to date!

SEASON OF THE DEAD unleash their brand-new single “Voodoo Ritual”, a blood-soaked preview of their upcoming debut album “Zombie Chronicles Vol. 1”, set for release on November 14th, 2025 via Time To Kill Records.

With “Voodoo Ritual”, the horror-obsessed death metal collective conjures the sinister spirit of classic Italian horror and the visceral ferocity of death metal. The song merges cinematic dread with primal riffs and ritualistic drumming, crafting a hallucinatory descent into a world where fear, flesh and faith intertwine.

“We wanted to pay tribute to a groovier style, drawing inspiration from Pantera. The figure of Phil Anselmo and his collaboration with Necrophagia as a songwriter and guitarist is of great importance to us. The voodoo referenced in the track is the one practiced by Marie Laveau, who lived in Louisiana in the 1800s and is still recognized today as a controversial and widely debated figure”.

SEASON OF THE DEAD is a visceral, cinematic extreme metal project born from the twisted minds of Titta Tani (former drummer of Necrophagia and Goblin), Giacomo Anselmi (former Goblin guitarist and current member of Goblin Legacy), and Enrico Giannone, founder and owner of Time To Kill Records, acting as producer and visionary behind the entire concept.

The idea is as brutal as it is clear: to resurrect the blood-soaked legacy of horror-infused death metal, channeling the rotten spirit of bands like Necrophagia, Mortician, and Fulci, while paying tribute to the grotesque imagery and raw energy of cult underground horror films. Influences range from Killjoy to City of the Living Dead, The Beyond, and Cannibal Holocaust, creating a soundscape that feels like a soundtrack to a lost VHS splatter nightmare.

THE KILLERFREAKS to Release Debut Live Album “Unalive” on October 31st

The killer little monsters are back… alive (or almost)!
Yes, the undead going live couldn’t have called their new work anything else but “UNALIVE”!

From October 31st, 2025, in perfect Halloween style, the first-ever live album by The Killerfreaks, entitled Unalive, will be available on all digital stores and streaming platforms.

Recorded during their explosive performance at Luppolo in Rock 2025, expertly mixed by Stefano Steve Volta (Pino Scotto, Perpetual Fire, Mr. Jack) and released by Wanikiya Record/Promotion, the album captures all the energy and dark humor of the Varese-based horror punk-metal band, active for over twenty years in the Italian underground scene.

A journey through heavy riffs, cheeky choruses, and horror movie atmospheres, with the typical sarcastic and self-ironic touch that has always defined The Killerfreaks. An album bursting with rott’n’roll in every track—dirty, direct, and undeniably alive!

The album will also be available in physical format, by contacting the band directly via DM on their official social media or at the merch table during their shows.

BIOGRAPHY
Founded in Varese in 2004, The Killerfreaks embody the essence of the most visual and theatrical horror-punk-metal.

Inspired by Kiss, Misfits, and Death SS, they combine heavy melodies, thrash outbursts, and ‘80s glam spirit, with lyrics dedicated to horror movies, full of irony, sarcasm, and pop references.

Throughout their career, they have released two self-produced albums—Flesh, Blood & Rott’n’Roll (2013) and A Load of Rott’n’Roll (2017)—and performed over 200 shows across Italy, in clubs, motorcycle gatherings, and festivals such as Loud and Proud, RockInnSomma, and Wings of Bea Metalfest, sharing the stage with bands like Domine, Strana Officina, and Ancillotti.

In 2008, they opened for The Crimson Ghosts, pioneers of German horror-punk.

Frontman Mefisto is also a former professional wrestler in Total Combat Wrestling and a comic book artist, author of works including Nocticula – Resurrezione, linked to Nocticula Resurget by Boris Hunter (ex Death SS).

Indian rockers Girish And The Chronicles are thrilled to share an explosive version of Adele’s “Set Fire To The Rain”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

The group originally performed this thunderous, riff-heavy cover on America’s Got Talent last June. The audition marked the group’s AGT debut and quickly stood out as one of the most explosive performances of the night. 

“Set Fire To The Rain” became Adele’s third consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2012, spending two weeks at the top. The track also surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify and won the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance.

The song explores the torment of betrayal and the primal instinct to rise again from the ashes. “Carnal Betrayal” follows the band’s recent announcement of the new EP “In The Shadows Of Unrest”, set for release on November 14, 2025. The record was created between two renowned Roman studios: drums and bass were captured at Kick Recording Studio, while guitars and vocals were tracked at Temple Of Gravity Studios. Frontman Fran Cremisini recorded guitars and vocal takes at Temple Of Gravity before returning to Kick Recording Studio, where Marco “Cinghio” Mastrobuono delivered the final mix and mastering, forging a razor-sharp, modern sound. Artwork by Diyaco Paymazd mirrors the intensity and unrest coursing through the music.

Formed in Rome in 1994 under the name Scapegoat and reborn as ENEMYNSIDE in 1999, the band has forged a lasting legacy across the global thrash scene. MAYHEM to Release 25th Anniversary Edition of “Grand Declaration of War” on December 5th

No band embodies the spirit of black metal like Mayhem. In the wake of violence and scandal, the Norwegians set the standard for the genre with their canonical 1994 debut. Other influential acts were quick to follow in their footsteps, but these iconoclasts defied convention by making a truly bold statement on Grand Declaration of War.

“This record means a lot”, its chief sonic architect Blasphemer told Outburn during a recent retrospective on the band’s long since debated second album. “It built a foundation, not only for me personally, but it also built a new foundation for Mayhem”.

Today, Season of Mist is celebrating the album’s 25th anniversary with a special edition of Grand Declaration of War. Along with the original master, this sunburst colored gatefold LP includes new silver hot foil packaging, a double-sided poster and an embroidered leather patch.  

“For Season of Mist, there was a before and an after Grand Declaration of War“, says the label’s founder and manager Michael Berberian. “This is probably the first true classic album we ever released, the one that put us on the map. And what an album. Talk about unexpected. Talk about daring”.

On Grand Declaration of War, Mayhem continued to bow down for no one – even themselves.  The band were coldblooded as ever on merciless cuts like “A Time to Die”, but their arsenal of blast beats and tremolo picking was strengthened by an increase in command. Written in collaboration between newly appointed guitarist Blasphemer and vocalist Maniac, the album didn’t expand so much as it invaded territory that was then believed off-limits: spoken word (“View from Nihil”), trip-hop (“A Bloodsword and a Colder Sun”), soundscapes of doom (“Completion in Science of Agony”).

No matter how they choose to impose their will, after 25 years of Grand Declaration of War, there’s still nowhere that Mayhem fear to tread.

Founded as early as 1984 in Oslo, Norway by the late and legendary frontman Øystein Aarseth aka Euronymous, bassist Jørn “Necrobutcher” Stubberud, and Kjetil “Manheim” Haraldsson on drums, Mayhem took its name from the VENOM song “Mayhem with Mercy”. Continuing and renewing the Black Metal style heralded by the latter English trio, the band soon became the instigators of the so called second wave and were at the heart of every controversy surrounding that genre.

The suicide of misanthropic frontman Per Yngve “Dead” Ohlin, the murder of Euronymous by guest bass player “Count Grishnakh” alias the notorious Varg Vikernes, church burnings, drugs and prison sentences – Mayhem were always at the center of the storm. Yet not even death could stop the Norwegians, who released one musical milestone after another.

The incredible rawness of the Deathcrush EP (1987) was followed by the still iconic and genre-defining De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (1994), which featured devilish drummer Jan Axel “Hellhammer” Blomberg, who had joined in 1988. The vocalist on this album was the Hungarian Attila Csihar of Tormentor fame, who returned later in 2004 to take over from his meantime heir, the enigmatic original singer Sven-Erik “Maniac” Kristiansen. The latter was featured on the Wolf’s Lair Abyss EP (1997), which was written mostly by highly talented guitarist Rune “Blasphemer” Eriksen, who scored a massive artistic success with the highly controversial Grand Declaration Of War (2000).
