Swedish rockers Degreed are excited to release the EP “The Leftovers – Volume I”, digitally available now via Frontiers Music Srl.

The new single and accompanying lyric video, “If It Wasn’t For Me”, are also out now.

Talking about the new single, vocalist Robin Eriksson said: “I wrote this song on acoustic guitar, years ago. Probably 2017-2018, I think. Then we made an arrangement together in the band, that developed over several years until it became this version. It’s a modern melodic rock/AOR tune. Classic Degreed if you ask me. Great guitar solo by Daniel as well!”

Degreed have been releasing critically acclaimed music since the start of their career with their first album “Life, Love, Loss” in 2010. Over the course of their career, the band has gone from strength to strength with every release, touring and gaining fans all over the world. Their sound mixes classic melodic and hard rock sounds with more contemporary influences, offering the fans a very personal, fresh and exciting mix of great rock music.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band wasn’t able to tour on the heels of the release of the album “Lost Generation” in 2019. The band released the song “The World We Knew”, their musical summation of the year 2020 (the song became “Track of the Week” at Classic Rock Magazine’s website a week after its release) and then in 2021, Degreed began working on what would ultimately become “Are You Ready”, released in 2022.

The latest Degreed album, “Public Address”, was released on July 7, 2023, and it sees the band delivering on all of the promise of earlier efforts and reaching an absolute premiere moment in their musical creativity.

“The Leftovers – Volume I” Tracklist:

1. If It Wasn’t For Me
2. Good Enough
3. Love Your Enemy
4. Wildchild (tribute to Alexi Laiho)
5. GET UP!!

THE DEVIL WEARS NADA Release New Single ‘Late Night Talking’ from Upcoming Debut Album

Swedish melodic rock band THE DEVIL WEARS NADA proudly announce the release of their new single and lyric video, “Late Night Talking,” as well as their highly anticipated debut album, Postalgia, due out on 24th May via renowned U.S. hard rock label Eonian Records.

Preorder ‘Postalgia’ here: https://www.eonianrecords.com/new-products/the-devil-wears-nada-postalgia

Fusing 80s melodic rock nostalgia with eerie theatrical flair, Postalgia is a dynamic debut that channels the golden age of AOR with a bold, modern twist. Bursting with high-octane anthems, haunting melodies, and storytelling drenched in theatrical drama, the album draws clear influence from icons such as Alice Cooper, Ghost, and Lordi – while carving a distinct sound of its own.

“Postalgia began as my escape during the pandemic—an outlet when the world felt upside down,” shares drummer and founding member Ludvig Alfvén. “It took two years, 23 demos, and a whole lot of trial and error before we landed on the final version. This record is the heartbeat of who we are.”

THE SOUND: NOSTALGIA REDEFINED

Hailing from Falköping, Sweden, THE DEVIL WEARS NADA merges the arena-ready melodies of Scandinavian AOR with a love for horror aesthetics and vintage hard rock energy. The result is a nostalgic yet fresh soundscape that recalls acts like Da Vinci, FM, 220 Volt, and Alien.
Guitarist Henrik Westergren describes the band’s sound as “a melting pot of ‘70s and ‘80s influences paired with our shared obsession with eerie, theatrical storytelling.”
“It’s Ludvig’s songwriting sensibility mixed with our collective love for the bizarre and dramatic,” Henrik adds. “It creates something that’s both familiar and unsettling—in the best way possible.”

HE RECORDING PROCESS: CHAOS MEETS CHARISMA

Bassist/vocalist Fredrik Svensson Carlström, who also co-produced the album, recalls unconventional recording conditions that helped shape the album’s raw sonic edge: “Some of the biggest sounds were recorded in what could only be described as a grungy wasteland. But that rawness gave the album its punch.”
The album’s remastered edition – previously released in ultra-limited form under the name Adecence – now sees full-scale international release under THE DEVIL WEARS NADA, complete with two brand-new studio tracks, a cover of Nestor’s “1989,” and a deluxe booklet featuring exclusive artwork and liner notes.

SIGNING WITH EONIAN RECORDS

Partnering with Eonian Records marked a major milestone for the band: “Ryan and Stephen at Eonian just got it from the start,” says Ludvig. “They understood the heart of this record and gave us a home where our vision could thrive.”
“They’ve crafted a sound that blends melodic rock and classic hard rock effortlessly,” says Ryan Northrop, Eonian Records. “Sharp, vibrant, and totally addictive – Postalgia is one of the standout hard rock albums of 2025.”
Stephen Craig, Eonian Records, adds: “The Devil Wears Nada are not only incredibly talented—they’re some of the most dedicated and down-to-earth artists we’ve ever worked with. Big things are coming from this band.”

THE DEVIL WEARS NADA will celebrate the release of Postalgia with a hometown show on May 30th in Sweden, followed by a support slot for acclaimed Swedish artist David Lindgren on July 25th in Karlsborg.

30th May, Falköping, Sweden
25th July, Karlsborg, Sweden supporting David Lindgren

The journey continues – album number two is already in the works. “We’re already deep into writing the next record,” Ludvig teases. “Studio time is booked for this summer. This is just the beginning.”

THE BROWNING, SWARM + THE DEFECT Release New Single ‘Overlord’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 20, 2025
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: SWARM, THE BROWNING, THE DEFECT. Leave a comment

THE BROWNING teams up with SWARM and THE DEFECT for a relentless new track that plunges listeners into a dystopian nightmare. With crushing electronics, cinematic intensity, and unrelenting heaviness, the song tells the story of an AI overlord rising to power and wiping out humanity. This apocalyptic anthem is a sonic assault, embodying the chaos and destruction of a world consumed by its own creation.

Purchase/Stream: https://link.fixtmusic.com/TB_S_TD_OVERLORD

The Browning is an electronic metal band founded by Jonny McBee as a solo project in 2005. In 2010 The Browning transitioned into a full band and has toured the world with bands such as Electric Callboy, Static X, Fear Factory, and We Came As Romans. They’ve put out two EPs  Standing On The Edge EP (2010), Time Will Tell EP (2011), and five albums, Burn This World (2011) Hypernova (2013), Isolation (2016), Geist (2018), and End Of Existence (2021). The Browning’s current lineup is Jonny McBee and Hardcore Keem. The Browning has consistently pushed the boundaries of music, fusing genres and redefining heavy sounds. The band’s new line-up sets the stage for an electrifying chapter in their journey. In 2011 on their full-length debut Burn This World, The Browning expanded the boundaries of heavy music through a seamless fusion of industrial, electronic, rock, and metal. In 2013 Hypernova represented a high watermark for the band.

Named ‘Album of the Week’ by Revolver, it yielded the signature anthem “Bloodlust,” which clocked over 2.6 million views and nearly 2 million streams. In 2016, they reached another level with Isolation, earning acclaim from outlets such as New Noise Magazine and generating millions of views between “Dragon” and “Disconnect.” The fourth full-length album, Geist, released in 2018, would push The Browning even further into the boundaries of heavy music with added deathcore and techno influences. End Of Existence released in 2021 would go on to receive generally positive reviews with Dom Lawson of Blabbermouth.net saying, “As ever, if the idea of metal mixed with EDM gives you violent facial tics and a sense of impending doom, End of Existence makes no attempt to make amends or win you over. And nor should it. The Browning have spent a decade pursuing an eccentric and polarizing path, and they still sound like a flash of inspiration brought to life.”

The Browning officially signed to FiXT in late 2023, after collaborating with the label for several years, creating two official remixes for Celldweller and signing a merchandise deal. The band has since released three well received singles with the FiXT. “Poison” which scored placements on Pandora’s AMP: Fresh Cuts, Industrial Metal, New Metal, This year In Metal, New Metal Now; Spotify’s All New Metal,, as well as featured on the WWE. The single currently sits on over 1.5 million streams alone on Spotify since its release. “HIVEMIND” would go on to score placements on Spotify’s All New Metal, New Flesh (Knotfest), and The Core, as well as VEVO’s Incoming Metal. “Deceiver” hit Pandora’s New Metal Now, New Metal (Station), This Year In Metal; Deezer’s Killed By Metal, Deathcore, and Metal Radar, and; Spotify’s All New Metal. Their sixth full length album OMNI is set to hit the airwaves in November 2024.

Jonny McBee, vocalist, and songwriter for The Browning, is a trailblazing presence in the metal scene. He is also known for his role as the host and operator of the “Burn This World Podcast,” which is set to make its triumphant return this Fall. He also streams in The Browning Discord channel with fans tuning in to watch his creative process. Jonny is set to embark on a parallel journey, launching a groundbreaking new side project: The Defect.
Hardcore Keem, the band’s guitarist, brings his unique vision and sound to The Browning. Originally just a fan of the band, he officially joined The Browning on tour in 2022, now becoming a staple for the band’s future and marketing. Besides being in the band, he’s also a heavy music influencer and promoter with over 300K in social reach, including 100K+ followers on Instagram alone, and runs his own podcast, The Hardcore Keem Show.
SWARM is an electronic artist known for blending dark, cinematic elements with heavy bass music. His official website, House of SWARM, showcases his latest music releases, merchandise, and upcoming live performances. Notably, SWARM collaborated with Bad Omens and HEALTH on the track “THE DRAIN,” demonstrating his versatility and ability to merge genres. Fans can explore his discography, including the “Fight For Your Life” EP, and access exclusive merchandise through his online store.
THE DEFECT is an electronic-rock duo founded by The Browning frontman Jonny McBee and debut singer, Moon, in 2023.

THE BROWNING ON TOUR
The OMNI USA Tour and the ELECTRONICORE 2025 Tour are not enough for hardcore genre crushing deviants The Browning. The Browning have announced two summer tours, the first the Canadian Tour 2025 with Born Of Osiris and Convictions June 17 to July 16.

NAMAZU’s New Single ‘In Like Flynn’ Out Now

Memphis heshers Namazu are back and louder than ever with their latest sonic assault, ‘In Like Flynn‘, out now via via Golden Robot Records.

Order ‘In Like Flynn‘ here: https://orcd.co/in-like-flynn

Charging out of the gate with zero restraint, ‘In Like Flynn’ is a thunderous tribute to the original hesher himself – Errol Flynn. Namazu deliver a barrage of tribal drums, chest-rattling riffs, and an all-out wall of sound that pays homage to heavy music in its most primal and potent form.

The track was recorded and mixed by Alan Burchum (Deadbird, Korroded, Autolith), whose raw touch adds grit and ferocity to the song’s already aggressive nature. Mastered by Ryan Boesch (Fu Manchu, Whores, Foo Fighters, Norma Jean), the end result is a crushing, full-spectrum blast of heaviness that refuses to let up.

‘In Like Flynn‘ is more than a song – it’s a battle cry, a riff-drenched celebration of rock ‘n’ roll’s wilder spirit, and a reminder that Namazu are a force to be reckoned with in the heavy underground.

Severin Allgood – Vocals, guitar
Samuel Hendricks – Drums
Adrian Lewis – Bass
Eric Fortenbery – Guitar, backing vocals

Melbourne’s garage rock gentlemen The Mean Times return with their first single in bloody ages, ‘Already Done‘, out now via Golden Robot Records. This track is a fast, fiery anthem for the overworked, overstimulated, and over-it. Packed with razor-sharp wit and relentless energy, the track is a full-throttle takedown of burnout culture, political hypocrisy, and the never-ending noise of modern life.

Order here: https://orcd.co/already-done

Stream ‘Already Done’ HERE

With punchy guitars, a pounding rhythm section, and a whole bunch of stuff that demands to be shouted, ‘Already Done‘ is equal parts defiance and catharsis. The track swings from frustration to dark humor, calling out know-it-all boomers, corporate bullshit, the people who oppose it and the sheer absurdity of it all – because when the world’s on fire, set alight by dickheads, there’s nothing you can you do about it but scream and raise a drink, a fist and an eyebrow.

Produced by Anna Laverty, ‘Already Done‘ sets the stage for The Mean Times’ debut album, Feel More Dumb, dropping September 2025. If you’ve ever felt completely spent and surrounded by morons – this one’s for you.

Thomas Morgan – Vocals, guitar
Robert Meerbach – Bass
Eoin Clements – Guitar, backing vocals
Ryan Williams – Drums

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: CORNERS OF SANCTUARY. Leave a comment

Philadelphia’s Corners of Sanctuary (COS) are set to reissue their 2012 debut album, Breakout, on April 29th. This CD-only release contains the album’s original track listing with several major upgrades, including new recordings, new versions of previous songs, new mixes and masters, and features performances from the current lineup.

The reissue of Breakout on CD, via Sonic Velocity Records, comes as part of the COS’ year-long celebration of the 10-year anniversary release of their seminal 2015 album, Metal Machine.

“The idea to reissue Breakout started back in 2018,” says COS founder and guitarist Mick Michaels. “It’s one of those things where it became one thing after another, and it kept being put off for one reason or another. No more excuses… here it is!”

A limited first pressing of Breakout, which will don the album’s original cover artwork, will be available April 29th, exclusively on the official Corners of Sanctuary website,  www.cornersofsanctuary.com , and at all of the band’s shows.

“Breakout is a sentimental piece of this band’s journey,” adds Michaels. “This reissue honors that history, all of it… the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

In addition, COS dropped a new single and lyric video in February, “Never Count Me Out.” The single is included on the new EP, Forever Metal, and the single is now streaming on all major platforms via SODEH Records and the lyric video can be viewed on Youtube. Autographed CD copies of Forever Metal are also available at the band’s website.
