IN THIS MOMENT, the GRAMMY® Award-nominated, multi-platinum heavy alternative force of nature, return today with a new single and music video entitled “Crawl.” Listen HERE. Watch the music video HERE.

Most importantly, however, it heralds the arrival of their ninth full-length offering and debut LP for Better Noise Music, WITCH, on AUGUST 28. Pre-order + pre-save HERE.

“Crawl” seethes and surges in signature IN THIS MOMENT style. Anchored by a gut-punching riff and seismic vocals courtesy of inimitable frontwoman MARIA BRINK, the song sets its hooks in, holds tight, and never lets go. It’s worthy of obsessing over—like all of the group’s best material over the years.

About the track, IN THIS MOMENT, Brink offers, “‘Crawl’ is a reckoning — a reflection that those who dominate and cause pain will ultimately reap what they sow. As above, so below. The fall is inevitable. Bearing witness to the harm they inflict, the song declares that those who once stood tall will be brought to their knees.”

Co-founder and guitarist CHRIS HOWORTH furthers, “‘Crawl’ is a visceral track that delivers the undeniable observation of powerful entities dominating and abusing the weaker and compromised masses — something that continues to repeat itself throughout human history. The song empowers and, at its core, is about standing up and fighting back.”

However, it’s just the beginning. WITCH showcases every side of IN THIS MOMENT: The fury, the femininity, and the fire. It’s an 11-track opus that does not relent in intensity and introspection. However, the band didn’t go it alone. This time around, the band tapped friends Dayseeker for “I Want To Believe,”; Kim Dracula for “Heretic,”; and Kat Von D for a cover of the Pink Floyd classic “Another Brick In The Wall.”

“WITCH is my declaration of inner transformation,” states Brink. “It’s about embracing the duality within — taking pain, persecution, and struggle — and alchemizing them into strength and power. The album reflects both ancient trials and my own journey — where being a ‘witch’ means being a creator, connected to the universe, manifesting my own reality.”

The spell has been cast. Allow WITCH to possess you.

ITM teased this chapter with “Sleeping With The Enemy.” Beyond reeling in over 1 million streams, it earned critical acclaim. Rock Sound hailed it as “blistering,” and Revolver plugged its power.

Led by the magnetic presence of Brink, the band has turned its fusion of spectacle, vulnerability, and massive melodic hooks into a global phenomenon, earning platinum-certified success and more than two billion career streams along the way.

WITCH TRACK LISTING:

Since coming to life in 2005, IN THIS MOMENT have presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of “mother” figure and aforementioned Brink — joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel, and drummer Kent Diimmel. They have steadily emerged as one of the most influential and impactful bands of the 21st century.

To date, In This Moment has amassed over 2 Billion streams globally. In addition to the Gold-selling album, BLOOD [2012], the quintet has also garnered seven Gold and two Platinum singles, followed by a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard 200 with BLACK WIDOW [2014], and RITUAL [2017].

Between selling out headline tours coast-to-coast, the group performed in arenas and have appeared at countless festivals from Lollapalooza to Sonic Temple. They assembled their seventh full-length, the aptly titled MOTHER [2020] with longtime trusted collaborator Kevin Churko [Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch]. MOTHER breathed the activating mantra of an unbreakable spell, commenced on first single “The In-Between,” which received a GRAMMY® nomination in 2020 for “Best Metal Performance.”

In 2022, the band released BLOOD 1983 [BMG], a reimagined EP commemorating the ten-year anniversary of BLOOD. Then in 2023, the longtime staples of heavy music released their eighth studio album GODMODE [BMG], a 10-song record featuring the powerful lead single “The Purge,” a stunning cover of Björk’s “Army Of Me,” the collaborative track “Damaged,” which featured Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, and “I Would Die For You,” which appeared on the soundtrack for John Wick: Chapter 4.

The next era of In This Moment will amplify everything they’ve built with this mantra: “Your voice, our flame. Set your truth on fire.”

KING KRAKEN Release Video for New Single ‘I Am The Apocalypse’

King Kraken release their video for new single ‘I Am The Apocalypse‘, out now.

“We are excited to announce that our new single ‘I Am The Apocalypse’ is out now across all major streaming platforms. A tale of cultish mentality and a wolf in sheep’s clothing bringing about the end of times. A familiar story set in darkness and false light. Rolling with stomping slow pounding grooves laden with soaring lead guitar work. All of which compliments the guttural vocals and thunderous bass making this song unmistakably King Kraken.”

Order here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/kingkraken/i-am-the-apocalypse

King Kraken unleash their second single of 2026 with ‘I Am The Apocalypse‘. An ominous, stomping, menace ridden track that delves deep into dark themes of false prophets, blind devotion and dangerous cult mentality.
This track was written from the ground up with a monolithic chorus that will have you chanting long after the final note has faded. With a groove that hits like a truck full of sledgehammers, the trademark soaring guitar solo and dramatic pause or 2. This literally made fingers bleed in the studio.
This is 100% unforgiving Kraken, heavy with light and shade, stronger than ever!

King Kraken is a four-piece Rock/Metal band from South Wales, UK. In 2025 they released their second album, ‘March of the Gods’, with two of their four singles playlisted on Planet Rock and Kerrang Radio. Positive album reviews poured in, including reviews from big hitters such as Kerrang and features in Metal Hammer magazine. With a new album and hefty praise from the rock/metal press, the band headed out on a headline tour.

The band has played Bloodstock Festival, Call of the Wild, Planet Rock’s Rockstock and Stonedead Festival. They were the first band to play the Bloodstock Winter Gathering event at KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton. The band has played with some heavyweight artists including The Almighty, The Dead Daisies, Crobot, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Monster Truck, The Sweet, Geoff Tate and Crowbar.

2026 is also proving to be another big year for King Kraken, with them hitting the main stage at Call Of The Wild Festival plus opening up Steelhouse Festival in July. If that wasn’t enough, they have also secured a slot at Chepstow Castle in August alongside Chris Holmes (WASP) and Tygers of Pan Tang.

With numerous events around the UK there is no sign of this train slowing down!

24th July Steelhouse Festival, Ebbw Vale
25th July Hammerdown Festival, The Factory Live, Worthing
22nd August, Chepstow Castle, Bridge St, Chepstow
5th September Hella Rock Festsival, HMV Empyre, Coventry

VAAJA Release ‘Abalon’ Nordic Gothic Dark Metal Rooted in Horror-Fantasy Book

Finnish band VAAJA released their second single Abalon on July 17. The music video will follow on July 31. The song is an epic, atmospheric gothic metal track drawing from Finnish mythology and tied to an upcoming original VAAJA dark horror-fantasy novel series.

LISTEN to Abalon single on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/vaaja-abalon

–Composed & lyrics by Malphas Miserable
–Arranged by Malphas Miserable, Garn Eir, Fenris Fuzz, Vor, Magni
–Recorded, Produced, Mixed and Mastered by Malphas Miserable
–ISRC: ushm92612057
–Cover art by Malphas Miserable

The single is an explosive track, taking its name from a central character in the upcoming first book: Abalon, the elven ancestor of foxes. The lyrics delve into how Abalon steps in as a surprise ally to turn the tide for the story’s main protagonist, a vulnerable young vampire, and his human friends.

“All songs of Vaaja are designed to carry Finnish mythology with a unique horror-fantasy twist beyond Finland’s borders”, says Malphas Miserable, the lead singer, songwriter and author of VAAJA.

VAAJA is a fully realised concept. Music is the first chapter of a larger dark fantasy universe that spans both the band’s work and forthcoming novels set in the same world. The band and the books are one universe. “I carried the idea of VAAJA for many years, but it was not until 2025 that I started to write the first book. After that, everything happened very fast and effortlessly.“, Malphas Miserable explains.

Sonically, Abalon occupies the space between the emotional depth of Sleep Token, the atmospheric darkness of HIM, and the devotional, theatrical identity of Opeth and Ghost.

“We think the category of “Nordic gothic dark metal” fits us the best, but we are very flexible in a wide array of musical genres. However, with VAAJA, we don’t want to restrict ourselves too much musically. Instead, aiming to maintain a playful, even blasphemous spirit-just like the old gods. The old gods are dear to us, and we feel that Finnish mythology is one of the richest yet still most underrepresented mythologies in metal,” the band states.

“Vaaja is not Viking imagery borrowed from our neighbours. It is ours – ancient, magical, and largely unknown to the world – until now.“

The Band:
Vocals—Malphas Miserable
Guitar—Garn Eir (The Sorcerer)
Guitar—Fenris Fuzz (The Berserker)
Drums—Magni (The Seer)
Bass—Vor (The Warrior)

TORANAGA UK Sign with Fireflash Records & Announce European Tour Supporting ONSLAUGHT

Hailing from Bradford in West Yorkshire, TORANAGA wrote a chapter in metal history with their first two studio albums, “Bastard Ballads” (1988) and “God’s Gift” (1990), achieving cult status within the metal scene. Although they remained underdogs, TORANAGA can be mentioned alongside their compatriots ONSLAUGHT,  XENTRIX,  SABBAT and ACID REIGN with confidence. What has always set the band apart is their unique blend of thrash metal and classic NWoBHM influences, not to mention their fondness for dark, BLACK SABBATH-style riffs. Supporting acts like VENOM, MANOWAR, METAL CHURCH, ANNIHILATOR a.o., further cemented their reputation as a first-rate live act. However, after their label Chrysalis was sold to EMI, they lost their team there and missed an opportunity to tour with MOTÖRHEAD, resulting in a long hiatus.

Guitarist Andy Mitchell emigrated to Australia, while frontman Mark Duffy attempted several comebacks: initially under the name THE BASTARD SON OF TORANAGA (with the EP “Cynical Eyes”), then with a new logo under the name TORANAGA (and the heavy album “Righteous Retribution”) – but finally settling all naming disputes under the banner TORANAGA UK.

Since 2024, vocalist Mark Duffy has assembled a top-notch new line-up with whom he has performed numerous shows alongside acts such as ONSLAUGHT, RIOT CITY, XENTRIX, and ACID REIGN. In May 2025, the powerful “A New Order” EP was released, featuring two brand-new tracks as well as re-recorded classics “The Shrine” and “Sword of Damocles”. This was followed in March 2026 by a new single, “Crash and Burn”, the first preview of their upcoming studio album. “We are in the final stages of the recording and mixing of our new album. We can’t wait to unleash it on the metalheads out there. We believe we’ve got an album they’re going to love”, promises the lead vocalist.

Today, TORANAGA UK are opening a new chapter by announcing their signing with Fireflash Records (WOLF, TRÖJAN, HOLY MOSES, MEZZROW and more). “We were looking for a label to release our new album and believe we’ve found the right one in Fireflash Records. They have an impressive roster and we are thrilled to become a part of it. We are looking forward working with the label and the release of our next album”, comments Mark Duffy.

“As a 14-year-old metal teenager, I was completely captivated by the album artwork for Toranaga’s second album, “God’s Gift”, and so I had to dip into my pocket money after tracks like “Sword Of Damocles”, “Food Of The Gods” and “The Shrine” had absolutely blown me away whilst I was listening to them in our local record shop. I was therefore absolutely delighted when I heard that the band is back in action and that their most recent tracks were every bit as good as those on their cult classics. I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome yet another legend to Fireflash – one who still has plenty to say”, adds Fireflash owner Markus Wosgien.

On top of that, TORANAGA UK are also proud to announce that they will be heading out on a European tour in October, alongside ONSLAUGHT and THE PROPHECY 23. “This is a great opportunity for us to go out on tour supporting the mighty Onslaught along with The Prophecy 23 on their European tour. We had a few support shows with Onslaught last year and they are great guys, we are stoked to be playing alongside with them on this tour”, says Mark Duffy

ETERNAL MOURN Premiere “Winds of Sorrow” EP Ahead of Release

Posted by tarjavirmakari on July 18, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: ETERNAL MOURN. Leave a comment

No Clean Singing hosts the premiere of ETERNAL MOURN’s debut EP, “Winds of Sorrow”, out on July 20th, 2026 via Terror From Hell Records.

Hailing from Italy, the band approaches death-doom through a sound deeply connected to the genre’s formative years, recalling the weight, atmosphere and emotional tension of the 1990s while avoiding a purely reverential approach.

Stream “Winds of Sorrow” at THIS LOCATION.

Born from the collaboration between drummer Debla and guitarist/vocalist Gabriel (Black Oath, The Rite, Extirpation), and later completed by guitarist Eros (Extirpation, Funest) and bassist/vocalist Santo (Araphel, Demonomancy), ETERNAL MOURN emerged from a shared desire to channel feelings of melancholy, frustration, inner decay and loss into music steeped in darkness and emotion.

Drawing heavily from the great death-doom tradition of the 1990s, the band pays homage to genre-defining acts such as Paradise Lost, Katatonia and Cemetary while avoiding mere nostalgia. Instead, ETERNAL MOURN reinterpret those influences with remarkable confidence and authenticity, crafting songs that feel complete, memorable and emotionally resonant, without sacrificing the raw and rugged edge that lies at the heart of classic doom/death metal.

Recorded at Spvn Studio in Guanzate, Italy, “Winds of Sorrow” consists of three carefully crafted tracks that capture the essence of the band’s vision: mournful melodies, somber atmospheres and a pervasive sense of desolation intertwined with powerful riffs and heartfelt performances. The result is a debut that balances melancholy and heaviness with natural ease, establishing ETERNAL MOURN as a promising new name within the contemporary death-doom scene.

Tracklist:

01. Falling Tears
02. Embracing Tragedy
03. Winds of Sorrow

GLORYHAMMER Release New Single & Video ‘Ultimate Sacrifice’

Power metal heroes GLORYHAMMER share the first single off of their upcoming album, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath, coming October 16, 2026 via Napalm Records. “Ultimate Sacrifice” is a sweeping track filled with epic storytelling. Elder God Kor-Virliath is back to conquer the universe after Zargothrax’s failed ritual, and the Space Kingdom of Fife seems forsaken. But GLORYHAMMER are ready to fight and tell the tale of one of the biggest battles yet – the choirs and orchestral arrangements of “Ultimate Sacrifice” are a first glimpse into the more diverse range of influences and higher production value that the band brings to their catchy songwriting on Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath.
The new track is accompanied by an animated video directed by Alex Henderson. In the style of a TV series, it follows the summoning of Kor-Virliath and the heroes’ quest to fight him – to the bitter end.

GLORYHAMMER about “Ultimate Sacrifice”:
“Mighty warriors! Prepare for battles of galactic steel! Will Angus McFife V fulfill his dream of flying away on a unicorn? What was the true fate of the Hootsman after he imploded? Find out now, in the next episode of GLORYHAMMER!”

The enemies of Dundee tremble as exalted power metal heroes GLORYHAMMER announce their long-awaited fifth album, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath! Due for release on October 16, 2026, via Napalm Records, the album is a direct sequel to 2015’s Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards, continuing the epic saga of the McFife dynasty. Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath follows Angus McFife V, the Crown Prince of Fife last seen in 2022’s single “Fly Away,” as he ventures into a perilous journey across spacetime that will lead him to the distant future of 1993, where his destiny lies.

Across eleven tracks, the band of heroes draws upon a more diverse range of influences than ever before, without ever compromising on the hook-driven, memorable songwriting that they are known for. From classic power metal to thrash, high energy synth rock to vast, sweeping orchestral soundscapes and more. Produced by the band themselves and mixed by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe), this is GLORYHAMMER as you’ve never heard them before.

Will Angus and his allies prevail in this titanic struggle? Or will the galaxy plunge into demonic chaos? Join GLORYHAMMER and find out – For the Eternal Glory of Dundee!

GLORYHAMMER about the new album:
“Mighty warriors, rejoice! The almighty GLORYHAMMER return triumphantly with a new chapter in the long and tumultuous history of the Intergalactic Empire of Fife. Multidimensional wormholes, abandoned space stations, and EPIC BATTLES await at the final frontier of Space 1993. FOR THE ETERNAL GLORY OF DUNDEE!”

Pre-order your copy of Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath NOW

“Ultra Portam Astralem” opens Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath with menacing drums and fanfare, shaping the cinematic setup of the album. The origin of the perilous undertone is explained in the following “Ultimate Sacrifice,” a sweeping power metal track: The Space Kingdom of Fife has been forsaken and Kor-Virliath seeks a new way to seize power after Zargothrax’s failed ritual. Previously released as a standalone single, “On a Quest for Aberdeen” shines anew in an album version; and the place of its vibrant story and rousing character, Angus V, is now fully revealed as it takes its place among the wider narrative of the album. At this point in the story however, peace isn’t an option yet: Aberdeen is overrun by demons in “Die with a Sword in My Hand,” and with a sentiment such as the one contained in this song’s title, epic battles will surely follow. With a chorus full of gang shouts, this track is certain to become a live favourite. “Silver Talon” keeps morale high by addressing the mighty galactic fleet, stunningly rendered on the album artwork against the backdrop of the pestilential Terrorvortex. Ser Proletius’ legendary Space Knights of Crail join their ranks with the ace pilots whose campaigns are illustrated amidst a stunning orchestral landscape in “Starfighters of Leuchars.” Afterwards, GLORYHAMMER expands upon the story behind birthplace of Zargothrax, where the battle hardened “Warriors of Auchtermuchty” swear their allegiance to their emperor with an inescapably catchy sing-along chorus. Elsewhere in space, majestic melodies echo through the derelict halls of an abandoned spaceship, as Angus is guided to an unexpected long-lost ally, taking him one step closer to the ultimate goal of “Pax Galactica.” Electronic soundscapes lead into energetic “Demonic Devotion” which has the song’s protagonist, long trapped in his own mind, trying to reconcile with the destruction in his wake while “Hammer of Fate” sets the scene for what’s to come, but is it the fate we have all come to expect? The story concludes with the bombastic monolith of “The Celestial Warhost of the Dundonian Empire Marches to Space Against the Dark Sorcerer: Final Assault on Battlemoon X-22,” an epic nearing 13 minutes of playtime, split into four ever-so-theatrical chapters. As previously seen with GLORYHAMMER, the narration is expanded through voice lines of a host of legendary characters, as they engage in mortal battle to change the fate of the galaxy…
