Twisted Sister, together with French Management Enterprises, have released an official statement announcing that the 50th Anniversary Reunion Tour unfortunately has to be canceled. The reason is serious health limitations affecting singer and rock legend Dee Snider. In addition to his battle with arthritis, the musician is now also facing heart problems, making a full-power performance no longer possible — and that’s the only kind of performance Dee Snider is willing to deliver, in true rock ’n’ roll spirit. How things will continue for the band is set to be decided soon.
Due to the sudden and unexpected resignation of Twisted Sister’s lead singer Dee Snider brought on by a series of health challenges, the band has been forced to cancel all shows scheduled, beginning April 25th in Sao Paulo Brazil and continuing through the summer. The future of Twisted Sister will be determined in the next several weeks. Stay tuned for updates,
Jay Jay French/Eddie Ojeda French Management Enterprises”
Dee Snider’s management also writes:
“A lifetime of legendarily aggressive performing has taken its toll on Dee Snider’s body and soul. Unbeknownst to the public (until now) Snider (70) suffers from degenerative arthritis and has had several surgeries over the years just to keep going, able to only perform a few songs at a time in pain.
Adding insult to the injury, Dee has recently found out the level of intensity he has dedicated to his life’s work has taken its toll on his heart as well. He can no longer push the boundaries of rock ‘n’ roll fury like he has done for decades. Says Snider, ‘I don’t know of any other way to rock. The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I’d rather walk away than be a shadow of my former self.’
In the immortal wos of Dirty Harry, ‘A man’s got to know his limitations.’ Sadly, Dee Snider now knows his.”
Take one of Jimi Hendrix’s most dynamic guitar work-outs; stir in the cream of modern power trios; season with the only guitarist ever to step into Ritchie Blackmore’s shoes and make people forget who used to wear them… and what do you get?
“Voodoo Child (Slight Return)” the new single by Hollywood rockers Dead Groove with special guests Steve Morse (Deep Purple) and southern blues guru Lance Lopez, that’s what.
Released on February 13th, “Voodoo Child” was one of the stand-out tracks on Hendrix’s already revolutionary Electric Ladyland double album, a slimmed-down reprise-of-sorts of the 15 minute masterpiece that devoured most of side one.
The title itself might surprise some Hendrix purists… across most of the world, the song was called “Voodoo Chile” and it topped the UK singles chart following Hendrix’s death in September 1970. In the US and France, however, it was “Voodoo Child,” and it was the early 1980s before that title became universal. When it first appeared on a British reissue, the fans all screamed it was a misprint.
“Voodoo Chile,” Voodoo Child,” it really doesn’t matter. From the moment that wah-wah intro kicks into earshot, you know exactly what it is. But Dead Groove offer up much more than a simple cover of a classic track – and how could they not?
Led by the incendiary rhythm section of Holly West (Zepparella) and Fred Aching (Kings of Thrash), Dead Groove made it clear long ago that it’s their hearts that they follow, not their ears. And with the twin guitar assault of Morse and Lopez stepping into the frontline, almost anything could – and, inevitably, did – happen.
“We had so much fun working on this song honoring one of the biggest guitar rock stars in the world,” say Fred and Holly. “It’s an honor to be playing with these excellent guitar players, Steve Morse and Lance Lopez.”
They describe “Voodoo Child” as “a unique version that honors Jimi’s legacy,” and they’re not wrong.
And, talking of guitar legends, flip the red vinyl 7-inch single over, and there’s a Tommy Bolin rarity awaiting, a 2024 mix of “Post Toastee,” from the late axeman’s 1976 Private Eyes solo album.
But “Voodoo Child” is not confined to a single alone. It also closes the bonus track-stacked deluxe edition of Dead Groove’s 2026 EP Rubicon, expanded across 14 songs to include, too, Dead Groove’s first album, from 2023, and more besides.
It’s an ear-shattering collection, with Fred and Holly joined by regular guitarist Cesar Slaverry, of Peruvian monsters Mauser, and not only blasting through a host of Dead Groove originals, but throwing down Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” as well. Which makes, incidentally, for a wonderful piece of synchronicity. Lemmy worked for a while as one of Hendrix’s roadies!

Just recently the band released the video for ‘9 Confines‘.
Vocalist Babs says about the background: “‘9 Confines‘ tells the story of a seeker’s journey toward a hidden truth – a journey of transformation. This cannot be undertaken without introspection and the burden of deep unease. It is about shadow work: about entering the darkness, going to where it hurts, and facing the horrifying. In the end, you may find yourself changed yet deeply connected – or lose your mind. The song’s theme is strongly influenced by the ‘Hermit’ tarot card, the hermeneutic circle, and Dante’s journey, all of which I wanted to reflect through the imagery of the video.”

Songs Of Embrace, the new LP by THE MON – the solo vision of Urlo, vocalist/bassist of Italian heavy-psychedelic trio Ufomammut and co-founder of the internationally renowned poster art collective Malleus Rock Art Lab and the independent label Supernatural Cat – is nearing release in early March. Today, the Sleeping Shaman is hosting the video premiere of “Ritual Of Night Violence,” the latest preview from the album.
“It’s a perfect marriage of sound and vision, mirroring the track’s suffocating layers of synthesizers and its slow, hypnotic pull into nocturnal isolation.” – The Sleeping Shaman

Songs Of Embrace was written, performed, produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Urlo at The Howl, Italy, and as with all Supernatural Cat releases, completed with artwork and videos by the Malleus Rock Art Collective.
Urlo reveals, “‘Ritual Of Night Violence’ is one of the most central tracks on Songs Of Embrace. It unfolds as a ritual, a passage in which anger is not released outward, but gathered, contained, and slowly transformed. Built on dense layers of synthesizers, the track moves through one of the darkest moments of our journey: a nocturnal space of isolation, where images accumulate inside the mind without leaving room to breathe: A continuous, silent violence is exercised on perception itself, until the boundary between dream and reality becomes indistinguishable, as if existing in a state of permanent darkness.
“Here, violence is not an act but a condition, something that circulates, inhabits bodies, and persists even after the one who carries it has disappeared. The only possible form of salvation turns inward. A minimal, fragile sound, like that of a buried music box, capable of reactivating memory and interrupting the cycle. Not an escape, but an awakening, the first step toward finding the strength to remain, to resist, and to rise again.”
The Sleeping Shaman writes alongside THE MON’s new song, “Where that first instalment stripped things back to raw vulnerability, this companion piece plunges into murkier, more ritualistic waters – and this movement sits right at the heart of that descent,” calling the video itself, “a genuinely unsettling piece of visual work that’s difficult to articulate in words. It’s creepy, disorienting, and the kind of imagery that burrows under your skin and lingers long after the screen goes dark. It’s a perfect marriage of sound and vision, mirroring the track’s suffocating layers of synthesizers and its slow, hypnotic pull into nocturnal isolation. This isn’t a video you simply watch; it’s one you endure.”
Songs Of Embrace will be released March 6th, on digital platforms, digisleeve CD, and LP. The vinyl will be issued in a standard pressing on 180-gram White/Black marble vinyl, and an extremely limited version in a run of 100 copies pressed on 180-gram Black/White blob effect vinyl in a hand-printed silkscreen cover, crafted by Malleus Rock Art Lab on high-quality paper, with a digital download and CD included. A bundle option including both Songs Of Abandon and Songs Of Embrace is also available.
US preorders can be placed at A Thousand Arms HERE, and other customers can preorder at Supernatural Cat HERE, and if you missed it, watch the previously issued “Incantation” video HERE.
Following the release of the new album, Urlo will perform as THE MON across parts of Europe on tour with Kariti from March 18th through May 5th. View the route and find info and tickets for all shows HERE.
Where Ufomammut projects massive, otherworldly soundscapes, THE MON offers a more vulnerable and introspective experience. The music moves through shadowy electronic landscapes, ambient textures, and hypnotic dark folk, always guided by an emotional core that searches for meaning, balance, and transformation. The moniker evokes several layers of meaning: a contraction of “demon,” “monk,” and the Japanese word 門 (mon, meaning “gate”), a symbolic passage toward altered states of consciousness and inner truth. This duality of light and dark, sacred and profane, runs through the entire project.
Embrace The Abandon is the two-album series by THE MON, structured in two complementary chapters – Songs Of Abandon and Songs Of Embrace –depicting a journey of duality: loss and surrender on one side, acceptance and rebirth on the other. Following the November 2025 release of the somber, acoustic guitar-driven Songs Of Abandon, its companion album Songs Of Embrace is now ready to be heard.
Songs Of Embrace is an instrumental counterpart – darker, ambient, and ritualistic – expands the emotional landscape of the series, rather than closing it. While the first part explored abandonment and loss, this one focuses on presence, proximity, and the physical act of staying. It is the answering breath, the inner voice. The album avoids resolution and comfort, embracing slowness, repetition, and bodily tension. It is not just music, it is a stream of consciousness, an inner search, a way of inhabiting what weighs without letting go.
While Songs Of Abandon is a collection of songs, nine tracks written in nine days, Songs Of Embrace is a continuous musical flow. It is a movement that changes, grows, erupts, slows down, settles, and rises again. Like the sea, it’s calm and still one moment, then moved by a simple breath of wind, suddenly breaking into a storm. The pieces are deeply interconnected, like embraces: some bring comfort, others carry pain; Compositions meant to be listened to in one continuous breath, allowing yourself to be held, rocked, and sometimes pushed away, just like in an embrace.
The concept behind ŹRENICE band emerged in June 2022, right after the final concert of the previous band formed by four of the group’s current musicians. Choosing to close that chapter and start anew, the band spent the following months shaping the instrumental foundations of what would become their debut album “Śnienie“, all while searching for the right voice to complete their sound. In 2024, singer Kamila joined the band, whose presence propelled the creative process forward.
On “Śnienie“, Źrenice forge a distinctive sonic identity, weaving together elements of alternative rock and metal, post-rock, black and sludge metal, and touches of folk-inspired mysticism and dreamlike storytelling.
Music for “Śnienie” debut album was recorded by Krzysztof Godycki at Studio Roslyn (Mord’A’Stigmata). All was mixed and mastered by Haldor Grunberg at Satanic Audio (Behemoth, Dom Zły, Entropia, Terrestrial Hospice, Hostia). Single cover artwork was done by duo Bartosz Gorzel & Łukasz Hawryluk. Debut album will be released on March 18, 2026 in digital format and as CD by Via Nocturna (pre-order).
Today, Źrenice band presents song “Neuroza” which is available for listening at all major streaming platforms (here).
“Neuroza” is the second single by Źrenice, in which the band tells the story not of victory, but of the courage needed to trust oneself and take the next step into the unknown. The song’s title and the opening bass riff are our small tribute to Neurosis‘ work.
Band comments the newest single: “Neuroza is a story about confronting a part of one’s identity stuck in the past and the fear of change. An encounter with “the character I know” deepens the disorientation and anxiety, in which the desire for change clashes with fear. The symbolic forest becomes an emotional state leading through resistance and anxiety towards crossing one’s own boundaries. Fear here is not just a threat, but a guide to deeper knowledge and breaking out of the illusory sense of security“.

Lucifer Rising Records is proud to announce the reissue of “Horror Music”, the first volume of the historic anthology by DEATH SS, retracing the seminal early phase of the band’s career.
Originally released in 1996, this landmark double LP marked a crucial turning point in the band’s history. It was the first release born from the strategic collaboration between Steve Sylvester and Vittorio Lombardoni (Self Distribuzione). From that partnership, Lucifer Rising Records was established, launching an artistic and distribution alliance that has successfully continued for over thirty years.
“Horror Music” is far more than a compilation. It stands as a true chronological document covering the period 1977-1996, capturing the evolution of DEATH SS: from the occult and underground atmospheres of their early years to the full compositional maturity achieved in the mid-1990s.
This new edition has been carefully curated to preserve and enhance the refined gothic aesthetic that has always defined the band’s identity. The release features elegant Pantone gold finishes and an 8-page maxi-booklet, including the original band history written by Italian journalist Beppe Riva.
All tracks have been newly remastered from the original source materials, with the aim of refining and enhancing a work created three decades ago, while fully respecting its original sonic identity and restoring greater depth, clarity and overall cohesion to the listening experience.
The album will then be officially released in all physical and online stores worldwide on Friday, February 20, 2026.
