Finnish sludge metal band Earthblood is back with a new single ‘Ape Warriors’. The single is released via Finnish record label Inverse Records. Listen to the track on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/earthblood-ape-warrior
The band comments: “From the dark corners of the urban jungle, a primal leader, the Ape Warrior emerges. Having only one goal: to take down and conquer. With his lightning speed and heavy pounding the Ape Warrior is a worthy challenger for the mighty and powerful Acid Viking.
“Ape Warrior” continues the band’s familiar drive, raw energy, and primitive vocals, but this time, inspired by bands such as Motörhead and Wolfbrigade, we wanted to bring in a bit more punk/heavy metal attitude into it.
The song’s story playfully tells of a man who wants to live outside of society and simply be left alone, but as that doesn’t work out, he says “F*ck it” and decides to set the world on fire.”
–Composed and lyrics by Jere Halonen, Joel Notkonen & Niko Kauhanen –Cover art by Spacer_Skin –Mix and master by Owe Inborr of Wolfthrone Studios –ISRC: FI3FC2682001
Earthblood was founded in the spring of 2023 by a group of friends, fusing elements of dirty and gritty Sludge with the fast tempos and riffing of genres such as Thrash and Death metal.
They humorously describe this sonic wall of sound as Thunder Ape metal.
Earthblood’s first EP titled “Primal Fury” was released by Inverse records in the September of 2023.
Not wasting any time, the second EP bearing the name “Witchburner” was released in April 2024.
Now after two years, the apes of the Earthblood have returned with two thunderous singles “Ape Warrior” and “Hatched in Hand” which is set to be released on April 16th 2026. They continue the mighty and powerful soundscapes of both previous EP’s.

About SEVENDUST: For over three decades, SEVENDUST have made countless fans feel a part of something special. The group’s community isn’t passive. Members of the “7D Army” make a very active commitment to being part of this family—as evinced by sold-out shows worldwide and innumerable tattoos of the band’s logo and lyrics. Since 1994, the iconic Atlanta quintet have quietly built a legacy without parallel, encompassing sales of nearly eight million albums, a GRAMMY® Award nomination for “Best Metal Performance,” three Top 15 entries on the Billboard 200, hundreds of millions of streams, and the fierce loyalty of millions of listeners in every corner of the globe. Along the way, they’ve shined as an outlier equally comfortable on tracks with either members of Deftones, Creed, and Periphery or Xzibit and Daughtry. V13 spotlighted it with a cover story, Consequence hailed the music as “hard-hitting,” and Guitar World marveled at how, “more than 25 years after releasing their gold-selling self-titled debut, SEVENDUST‘s music still has plenty of bite.” Speaking to their longevity, they notably notched their biggest radio success to date with “Everything” in 2024, netting a career-high entry on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. However, the guys really delivered for their diehard base with 2026’s ONE (Napalm Records). SEVENDUST’s 15th full-length LP forges ten simultaneously lean and gut-punching tracks out of gargantuan riffs, seismic grooves, and signature soul-stirring hooks. Rallying together around a common goal as bandmates and brothers, Lajon Witherspoon (vocals), Clint Lowery (lead guitar, backing vocals), John Connolly (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Vince Hornsby (bass), and Morgan Rose (drums) have crafted a body of work that both day-one devotees and new fans alike can hold onto forever.
“We have now traversed the steps which the spirit descends in its gradual and utter fall towards the material world. All is now ended; the spirit is completely materialized, and the change is indicated by the eighteenth card.” Papus
Portuguese gothic/dark metal pioneers HEAVENWOOD announce the arrival of their haunting new single and official video, “The Moon”. The track is the first glimpse of the highly-anticipated album “The Tarot Of The Bohemians – Part II”, set for worldwide release later this year.
A profound and atmospheric composition, “The Moon” dives deep into the esoteric symbolism of Gérard Encausse, known as Papus, translating his study of the Tarot into a deeply personal and emotionally charged musical journey. Inspired by the eighteenth card and its symbolism of spiritual descent into matter, the song explores the duality of Love through the metaphorical relationship between the Sun and the Moon. Somber, immersive and rich in texture, “The Moon” unfolds with melancholic intensity before culminating in a powerful and cathartic climax.
Join the premiering here:
“This piece – and my musical interpretation of the study and concept developed by the occultist Papus – is an analogy for the process of materializing a series of personal experiences, lived from within my own microcosm and charged with profound dualities which, in the eyes of the outside world, are constantly presented to us in a dogmatic way”, Ricardo Dias dos Santos comments. “In this case, Love and the metaphorical relationship between the Sun and the Moon”.
“The Moon” puts its finger on the conceptual depth and sonic sophistication of “The Tarot Of The Bohemians – Part II”. The album was recorded in Portugal and mixed and mastered in France by Niko HK Krauss, elevating Heavenwood’s trademark blend of gothic melancholy and metallic intensity to new expressive heights.
Formed in 1992 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Heavenwood remain one of Portugal’s most respected and internationally recognized metal acts, known for their pioneering role in expanding the reach of Portuguese metal beyond borders. With over three decades of history, acclaimed releases, and performances alongside some of the most prestigious names in the scene, the band now enters a new chapter under Mighty Music, reaffirming their legacy while embracing an ambitious future.
From the beginning, it was clear that Beyond Creation possessed a special aura. On their debut album, the Montréal four-piece concocted the next progressive evolution in technical death metal by splicing together classic brutality and prog’s insatiable curiosity with a refreshing knack for melody. Now, in light of releasing their first new song in eight years, the Independent Music Award winners and Canadian Grammy nominees are announcing their first tour celebrating the 15th anniversary of The Aura.
Next month, Beyond Creation will tour Latin America on a special The Aura 15th anniversary tour. The band will perform the album in its entirety for the first time ever. Their setlist will include “Omnipresent Perception”, which has more than 6 million views on YouTube, and “The Deported”, the album’s epic closer, which has never been played live before in Latin America. This tour will also mark the live debut of revelatory new single “Reverence”. Joining as special guest on all ten dates are Fallujah, who are touring Latin America for the first time.
“Our 15th anniversary tour in celebration of The Aura is officially starting in Latin America next month”, Beyond Creation vocalist and guitarist Simon Girard says. “We will perform our debut album in its entirety for the first time ever!”
“Fifteen years ago, The Aura marked the beginning of our sonic journey”, Girard reflects. “A relentless and intricate force that carved a lasting legacy into the heart of the technical death metal scene. This anniversary tour is a celebration of where it all began and of everything we’ve built together since”.

Before appearing out of the Canadian woodwork back in 2011, Beyond Creation had already undergone multiple permutations. But with the band’s full-length debut, the Montréal four-piece quickly revealed themselves as the next evolution in technical death metal. The Aura has been encoded in the genre’s DNA ever since.
“Laden with atmosphere, The Aura stands out from the crowded 2011 tech/death scene thanks to the prominent use of fretless bass, varying drum patterns, and experimentation with tempo”, wrote Metal Injection in a recent retrospective. “Combine that with a variety of searing vocal styles and classically-influenced, lightening-fast sweeps, The Aura is a decadent joy to the mechanically and sonically minded”.
The French part of Canada is home to a vibrant culture of technical death metal fostered by outstanding acts such as Gorguts, Cryptopsy, Martyr and Neuraxis. This illustrious family tree has produced many sprouts in the past, yet none of them are as brilliant as Quebec’s amazing scion: Beyond Creation.
Beyond Creation saw the light of day in 2005 in Montreal, Canada but it wasn’t until 2010 that the band was ready to hit the stage with their original line-up consisting of Simon Girard, Kevin Chatré, Guyot Bégin-Benoît and Dominic ‘Forest’ Lapointe. A year later, the band self-released their debut full-length album The Aura (2011), which quickly became a highlight in the genre. Since then, Beyond Creation has been known as the progressive, innovative and exciting new metal sound of their homeland, Quebec.
In late 2012, the band had Philippe Boucher (Ex-First Fragment, Incadescence, Chthe’ilst, Décombres) take Guyot’s place on drums and things started moving at a faster pace in 2013, when they joined Season of Mist, re-releasing ‘The Aura’ and touring North America, Japan and Australia. In 2014, Beyond Creation released their second masterpiece Earthborn Evolution.
After the addition of Hugo Doyon-Karout (Brought By Pain, Equipoise, Conflux) on bass, the band focused on touring as much as possible on the Earthborn Evolution album cycle compiling three North American tours, three European tours, countless shows in Canada, appearances in Mexico, Colombia and Dubaï, sharing the stage with heavy weights like Arch Enemy, Hate Eternal, Misery Index, Dying Fetus, Psycroptic and Obscura. They also took part in multiple large-scale music festivals such as Hellfest (FR), 70 000 Tons of Metal (US), UK Tech-Fest, Montebello Rockfest (CA), Heavy MTL (CA) and Damnation Fest (UK).
In 2018, Beyond Creation recorded their IMA award-winning and JUNO-Nominated third album Algorythm at The Grid Studio in homeland Canada. With their latest album, Beyond Creation delivers a ferocious blend of technicality, melody, and brutality aided by fang-filled growls, which is interwoven with beautiful progressive interludes.
Since then, Beyond Creation have toured extensively. The band have played multiple times across North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand with the likes of Ne Obliviscaris, Decapitated, Cynic and Rivers of Nihil. They’ve also hit the festival circuit with appearances at Shred Fest, Loud As Hell Open Air and Trois-Rivières Metal Fest.
In 2026, Beyond Creation released “Reverence”, their first single in eight years, ahead of their special 15th anniversary tour for The Aura.

About FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE:
Italian Symphonic Death Metal maestros FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE are finally back with their brand new, 6th album titled Opera, a gut-wrenching musical journey inspired by the tragic mountain climbing accident occurred to their frontman and mastermind Francesco Paoli, in 2021.
Released via Nuclear Blast Records in 2024, the whole album is structured like a 10-act theatrical piece, as the title itself, “Opera”, draws a clear thread with the everlasting tradition of Italian classical music theater combining it with the epic brutality of death and symphonic metal, which has become their trademark sound.
Mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated producer Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, EPICA, ARCH ENEMY), Opera definitely marks another step forward for the band, incorporating new suggestions into that unique blend that FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE are renowned for: sheer violence, majestic orchestrations and soaring melodies. Such an ambitious musical endeavor called for an equally impressive artwork, a team effort between two arising Italian talents (artist extraordinaire Felicita Fiorini and visionary photographer Francesco Esposito), following the path traced by baroque painters like Caravaggio and Artemisia Gentileschi. The cover art portrays Veronica as Music, a superior entity that defeats the social and artistic decay of modern age.
With this new record, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE are setting the bar even higher than before, pioneering what looks like a completely new sub-genre that might be called “opera metal”: an unprecedented mix of extreme music and theatrical elements.
After drawing closer and closer to the edge over the past decade, Unverkalt are plunging into the darkness that’s always awaited below. The post-metal luminaries are still possessed by a cinematic vision, but their new album and first for Season of Mist throws back the velvet curtain in favor of a blackened veil. While wrestling with the weight of our accursed histories, Héréditaire now stands as their heaviest and most heartfelt offering.
“The contrasting elements at play in Héréditaire, from the gloomy to the raging and the eerie to the explosive, make it a compelling listen that rewards over time”, Dead Rhetoricwrites in an 8/10 review. “Unverkalt grapple with the emotions and atmosphere with masterful tone and intention, eliciting a response that leave you reflecting on what you just heard and make you want to return to it once again”.
Today, Unverkalt are thrilled to release a new video for the song that serves as the emotional pillar of Héréditaire. Fueled by contempt for those content on watching the world burn, “I, The Deceit” radiates strength with support from the band’s Greek brother-in-arms Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ.
“I enjoy discovering new, unique and compelling music in today’s overwhelming world of information, and I believe I truly succeeded with Unverkalt”, Sakis Tolis says. “This is an exceptional piece of art, worth every minute of listening”.
“‘I, The Deceit’” captures the stillness of those who let the world burn, not out of ignorance, but because it serves them”, Unverkalt vocalist Dimitra Kalavrezou says.
Héréditaire marks a pulse-pounding new direction for Unverkalt. The album’s newfound heaviness traces back to humanity’s deepest and darkest origins. Each song peels back another layer of collective trauma that’s passed down to us through generations like a disease.
“Our new albumis a lament for what is far older than our very existence”, Unverkalt’s guitarist and chief composer Themis Ioannou says. “It speaks of what seeps through generations, searching for an answer to one pervasive questions: What do we carry that was never ours?”
Emerging from deep within Héréditaire, “I, The Deceit” burns like an open wound. With each pinprick of strings, a guitar throbs in pain. The entrancing chorus doesn’t come washing down like a wave of relief but as a numbing agent for our impending doom.
“This song carries the weight of human indifference toward the destruction we wreck upon the world”, Kalavrezou says. “That cruelty unfolds not as a distant tragedy, but as something intimate, almost ordinary”.
“I, The Deceit” is fueled by simmering contempt. From deep within its heavy blackened atmosphere comes a gust of blast beats. “The world falls apart / And you just stand there / Watching it burn down”, Sakis Tolis growls with scorn, standing strong amidst the eye of the storm.
Héréditaire might close shrouded in darkness, but a crack of light does appear in the form of Kalavrezou’s enchanting cleans. “I want us to have one heart together”. Like memories, the cry of horns and pleas screamed in Greek stoke the air as the song burns toward its fiery finish, reminding us of all we stand to lose.
“Even in the suffocating stillness, there’s a lingering ache for truth”, Kalavrezou says. “For something uncorrupted. And in that storm, something might still feel true”.

UNVERKALT are drawn to the edge. Since emerging from the underground, the Germany by way of Greece post-metal band have balanced boundless atmosphere with suffocating heaviness. Their third album and first since signing with Season of Mist doesn’t continue in that direction so much as it plunges into the darkness that’s always been waiting below. Héréditaire lifts the veil from our cursed existence. What emerges is Unverkalt’s heaviest and most heartfelt offering.
“Our aim has always been to blend softer, more romantic elements with extreme chaos. With Héréditaire that time has now come”, says the band’s guitarist and chief composer Themis Ioannou. “This album is a lament for what is far older than our very existence. It speaks of what seeps through generations, searching for an answer to one pervasive question: What do we carry that was never ours?”
From the beginning, Unverkalt was born from an urge to give life to grief. In 2017, Ioannou started the band with vocalist Dimitra Kalavrezou in hopes of creating something that was slow-burning and visceral, crushing yet delicate. Their debut made good on that promise: “…so rivetingly beautiful that you will have to deepen to digest it”, Metal Hammer Greece wrote in awe of L’Origine du Monde. “Easily on the top-10 of 2020”.
The band’s second album followed three years later to further acclaim. While swooning between obsession and annihilation, A Lump of Death: A Chaos of Dead Lovers sharpened Unverkalt’s vision by pushing their avant-garde streak with more force. “Beyond being able to point roughly towards a couple of different genres, it is utterly impossible to compare them to any other artist out there making music in the same vein”, The Sleeping Shaman admired. Echoes and Dust agreed: “It stands in its own right as a beautiful slice of filmic post-rock, a soundtrack without a movie beyond the one playing in your head”.
Héréditaire is still possessed by cinematic visions. Like a camera coming into focus, lead single “Die Auslöschung” appears through a thickening haze before it’s snapped out of a trance by drummer Christian Eggers’ fiery blast beats. The album shifts between colors, textures, even languages. Stirred by a mournful saw of strings, “Ænae Lithi” raises memories of the Great Fire of Smyrna that were handed down by Themis’ grandmother. But where previous albums took cues from French painting and European film noir, this one throws back the velvet curtain in favor a veil. “Oath Ov Prometheus” dismantles the myth of man as god’s perfect creation with Kalavrezou’s freshly blackened vocals.
“We love to experiment with every album”, Ioannou says. “With Héréditaire, we wanted to introduce extreme vocals because they bring out all these heavy feelings. It’s like they’re shaking you awake”.
While Héréditaire is a pulse-pounding new direction for Unverkalt, the album’s arc traces back to our deepest and darkest origins. Amidst the tremolo-picked wreckage of “Penumbrian Lament”, long-held beliefs are swallowed into the void of guitarist Eli Mavrychev’s death growls. “It’s all sorts of dead ideas / They cling to us all the same”, Kalavrezou whispers, only to break into screams on “Introjects” beneath Joscha Hoyer’s throbbing bass line. “The concept behind the record is tied in with the album’s overall heaviness”, she says. “Each song peels back another blackened layer of memory, trauma and suffering, which linger over us like ghosts: invisible, yet endlessly present”.
Kalavrezou’s mystifying cleans remain one of Unverkalt’s defining traits. Even when trembling beneath the monolithic riff of “I, The Deceit”, her contempt for those who stand by as the world burns is heated when forged alongside her Athenian brother-in-arms Sakis Tolis from Rotting Christ. But as the album draws to a close, Héréditaire ends shadowed in doubt for the future. “Bathed in lies / Can we make it better” she wonders before disappearing into the shivering wake left by “Maladie de ‘Esprit”.
“This album is not meant to resolve”, the band says, “but to dissolve patterns from those who came before, faceless yet familiar. The colors have drained. What remains is veiled in black, not as a symbol, but as a truth that covers everything”.
On Héréditaire, Unverkalt lift the veil on our cursed existence with their heaviest and most heartfelt offering.
