Canadian progressive rock duo Crown Lands deliver their new studio album Apocalypse, their most demanding and fully realized work to date, set for release on May 15th, 2026.
Conceptually, Apocalypse is designed as a complete, album-sides narrative experience, crafted with the classic album format in mind. At the heart of the album lies the 19-minute title track, a sprawling epic that anchors the record both musically and narratively.
Australian quintet Karnivool have released their long-awaited album In Verses via Cymatic Records/The Orchard. Almost 13 years in the making, In Verses is a culmination of the last decade of life experiences that have brought Karnivool to this point. Meticulously formed and delivered, the LP’s ten tracks journey through collective feelings of frustration, catharsis, and a rediscovery of identity.
To accompany the LP release, the prog-metal stalwarts share the visualizer for Reanimation, a track featuring a solo by UK guitar legend Guthrie Govan.
Brooklyn-based noise rock / punk outsiders FOREIGN BODY today release their new single ‘Strung Out’, newly signing with Brutal Panda Records.
“Harsh, brutal, filthy, and vulgar” and “so dirty, so clean, so disgusting, so pure” are just a couple of ways that the band has been described by those who’ve experienced their aural onslaught.
The single arrives ahead of the band’s second album, set to release this year.
‘Strung Out’ was produced, mixed, and mastered at STR in San Diego, CA by Matt Ibarra of Rectal Hygienics and recorded at Altered States in Chicago, IL by Matt Russell (REZN, Oozing Wound, Big Laugh).
FOREIGN BODY formed in New York City in 2022 and quickly released an EP and a pair of demos. Their debut album FIXED followed via the cult Malaysian label Menora Recordings in 2023 with a 2025 re-release on Reanimated Miscarriage. Described by CVLT Nation as “one of the filthiest, most f*cked in the head records of the year”, FIXED got the attention of many in the underground thanks to both the band’s ferocity and its raw, unflinching lyrics.
FOREIGN BODY will play a hometown show on 21st March in Brooklyn, NY @ The Gutter with Reaper’s Gong (ex-Full of Hell). Stay tuned for updates on the forthcoming album and live performance dates in the coming months.
Aeon Gods has released a video for “Reborn To Light”, third single taken from the eponymous new album to be released on February 20 by Scarlet Records.
After facing chaos, serpents, and the shadows of dissolution, the sun-god rises again. The song captures this moment of cosmic victory with a powerful metal hymn: driving riffs, thunderous drums, and an anthemic chorus that celebrates the defeat of the evil forces seeking to extinguish creation. “Reborn To Light” is both a mythic climax and a musical declaration – epic, uplifting, and forged in the heart of ancient legend. No matter how deep the night, dawn will always rise again.

With “Reborn To Light” Aeon Gods open a new chapter in their myth-driven metal universe, entering the radiant and shadowed realm of ancient Egypt.
The new songs blend power metal might with orchestral texture to create an immersive mythic experience, and the German band delivers a truly cinematic and dynamic work: fast and powerful anthems, dramatic battle hymns, dark atmospheric passages, symphonic grandeur, and a moment of calm emotional depth reminiscent of a ballad.
The concept follows the dramatic nightly descent of the sun-god Re into the underworld – alongside this central solar cycle, “Reborn To Light” incorporates other foundational Egyptian myths; these stories expand the album’s mythological scope and deepen its conceptual arc.
A cinematic journey of darkness, rebirth, and divine triumph elevating Aeon Gods’ signature blend of heavy riffs, grand choirs, and atmospheric depth!

Swedish death metal outfit Xorsist have announced the release of their third full length Aberrations. The freshly signed band will release the new offering on 24th April via Hammerheart Records.
The first single ‘An Elegy Unfolds’ is now streaming via on all digital platforms.
Xorsist comment on the track: “We’re extremely proud to finally release our new single ‘An Elegy Unfolds’. We know this is the right track to set the tone for what is to come. Prepare for a descent into darker territory!“
Hailing from the hallowed city that birthed classic death metal acts such as Entombed, Dismember and Unleashed, Stockholm, Sweden’s Xorsist stand firm as torchbearers of the city’s enduring death metal legacy. Since their formation, the band have forged a sound deeply rooted in the raw, uncompromising tradition of old school Swedish death metal while steadily sharpening their own identity within the genre.
Following their self-released debut album Deadly Possession in 2022 and their second full-length At the Somber Steps of Serenity in 2023, Xorsist built a formidable track record that earned them a growing reputation within the Swedish underground and beyond. Founded by Gustav Ryderfelt (vocals and guitar) and later solidified with Birk Castenmalm (vocals and bass) and Alphonse Bouquelon (drums), the band’s core sound balances deep reverence for tradition with a focused drive toward progression.
Now signed to Hammerheart Records, Xorsist prepare to unleash their third album called Aberrations, slated for release in April 2026. While their earlier recordings honored the path that defined the classic Stockholm sound, Aberrations marks a decisive step forward, eclipsing everything that came before it and presenting a clearer, more defined expression of the band’s musical vision. With this new chapter, Xorsist continue to carry the Swedish death metal torch into darker territory!
