FRANCESCO MARRAS Unleashes New Solo Album “Out Of The Fire”, Out Now

The new album by Sardinian musician FRANCESCO MARRAS (founder of Screaming Shadows and member of the English band Tygers of Pan Tang since 2020) was released yesterday, Friday 21st February 2025, for the independent label Hell Tour Productions.

It is titled “Out of the Fire” and contains 10 songs that vary from Hard Rock to Heavy Metal and is available in CD format from the artist’s official website (https://www.francescomarras.com) and on all digital streaming/download platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon mp3, YouTube Music, ecc.).

In addition to Marras, who sang 6 songs and played all the guitar and bass parts, there are several guests on vocals such as David Readman (Pink Cream 69, Voodoo Circle), Iacopo Meille (Tygers of Pan Tang), Gianni Pontillo (Victory) and Daniele Ledda (Twilight Zone). Also present are the Bosnian drummer Pavel Ljubicic, the keyboardist Marco Cossu and Marco Garrucciu on Bouzouki.

The album, which boasts a modern and powerful production, is mixed partly by Francesco himself at his Screaming Shadows Studio in Sassari, and partly by Mattia Stancioiu (ex Labirynth, ex Vision Divine) at Elnor Studio. With its melodic Hard’n’Heavy style and an impactful artwork, the new record will not disappoint rockers and metalheads of all ages.

STERBHAUS Release New Single And Video ‘Deth Bü Wolfe’ from First Album in Ten Years

STERBHAUS (ex members of Shining, Elvira Madigan, Ondskapt etc) has released a new single and video “Deth Bü Wolfe”. The last full length album was released ten years ago – so it is no understatement that this is quite an event!

“Deth Bü Wolfe” (spelling obviously intentional, and an ironic nod towards the over usage of sterotypes in Metal music in general) is the first new song from the upcoming album “Next Akin to Chaos” which at the time does not have a release date. The band promises this year to be full of tasty treats and blistering Metal – and “Deth Bü Wolfe” is the first offering.

According to vocalist/bassist Marcus Hammarström:

“This was obviously gonna be the first single even eight years ago when it was first written. It’s just such an immediate Sterbhaus classic and it’s chock full of hooks, riffs, solos and fierce spitting vocals. It’s all cranked up to eleven this time. There’s a weird marriage between tricky stuff and accessibility in all that we do and this proves just that… Hell, it’s catchy as most anything. If you don’t get hooked after the first “ugh” then you can’t possibly have a Metal in your blood.”

STERBHAUS is the home of Marcus Hammarström (prev Shining, Elvira Madigan), Jimmy Ahovalli and Erik Röjås (prev Ondskapt, Decadence) and even though the band announced its retirement in 2019 it was also made official that – apart from releasing the live album “Necrostabbing at Göta Källare” in 2021 (which actually charted at #1 for physical format in Sweden), the very last thing to happen was going to be the release of one more album.

“Deth Bü Wolfe” is now out on all major streaming platforms and it comes with a tasty video as well

SWEET to Re-Release 2012 Studio Album “New York Connection” w/ Bonus Tracks on April 18th

SWEET, one of the most legendary, influential and enduring names in the history of rock music, will re-release their 2012 studio album ‘New York Connection’ on 18 April via Metalville Records. The CD version also includes four bonus tracks not included on the original release.

‘New York Connection’ is a selection of tracks originally written by other artists, which SWEET have given their own distinctive sound.

‘As well as a decent selection of must-haves, we’ve also added guitar riffs, drum beats or vocal lines from our own classics where appropriate.’  (Andy Scott)

For example, the guitar line from SWEET’s ‘Burn On The Flame’ was incorporated into ‘It’s All Moving Faster’, while ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ by the Ramones contains elements of ‘The Ballroom Blitz’.

Of particular note is the fusion of Russ Ballard’s ‘New York Groove’ (previously covered by both Hello and former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley) with Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State Of Mind’. When you read it, you might not believe it… it works!

UDO DIRKSCHNEIDER Explains Why They Re-Record ACCEPT’s “Ball To The Wall”

The Metal Voice recently interviewed Udo and Sven Dirkschnider where they both talked about their decision of re-recording of Accept’s classic album BALLS TO THE WALL.

The album will be released February 28, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

Udo was asked by The Metal Voice why they decided to re-rerecord the Ball to the Wall album he said, “It was not planned (the Album). We were just planning do a 4 year anniversary of Balls to the Wall on tour and some festivals (playing the whole album).  A lot of singers came up to us and said are you doing anything special for the 40 Years of of ‘Ball to the wall’ and I said we are planning a tour (playing all the songs off the album) and then they came up and said I would really love to sing a song on that Album. So I thought to myself this album to touch it again is very critical and criminal, this is like the holy cow of Accept. So  then we were sitting down and thinking and saying okay what can we do? If we do it we do it with guest singers. So then we made a list  with all the singers we had in mind and started talking to the record company and of course the record company always said wow yeah great idea. For me I’m happy that we did the whole thing.  I’m really happy with the result.

The result is a tribute to the history of heavy metal and proof of how enduring and inspiring this album remains, even four decades later.
