BLOOD INCANTATION Announce “All Gates Open (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)”, Out June 5th

Following their boundary-shattering 2024 opus Absolute Elsewhere, Denver’s cosmic death metal visionaries Blood Incantation return with a new chapter that dives deeper into the origins of their most expansive era.

All Gates Open (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) will be released on June 5th, 2026via Century Media with pre-orders live now.

Originally only available as part of the deluxe Absolute Elsewhere Artbook, All Gates Open now emerges as a standalone release for the very first time, featuring both the full soundtrack and the accompanying 73-minute documentary.

The release will be available in multiple formats including a Blu-ray edition, vinyl variants and digital album.

More than a companion piece, All Gates Open (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) captures the very genesis of Absolute Elsewhere. Composed in 2021, the four immersive tracks reveal a radically different dimension of Blood Incantation’ s sonic identity: pastoral, ambient, and deeply introspective. Built from synth improvisations, acoustic instrumentation, and exploratory studio sessions, the material represents what guitarist/vocalist Paul Riedl describes as the “yang energy” to the shadowed atmospheres of Timewave Zero.

The included documentary takes viewers inside Berlin’s legendary Hansa Tonstudios, where the band relocated for a month to write and record Absolute Elsewhere. Directed by Niklas Tschaikowsky and Tammo Dehn, the film offers an intimate and unfiltered look at the band’s creative process, daily life, and immersion into Berlin’ s cultural fabric—featuring appearances by members of Tangerine Dream, Hällas and Sijjin.

SEGMENTIA Release New Single And Music Video ‘Before The Dawn’

Finnish metal band SEGMENTIA has reinvented itself and now bows to the melancholic culture of their homeland, Finland. The first single “Before The Dawn” from the band’s debut album is weaving together heavy guitar textures, melancholic melodies, and a delicate yet intense performance.

“When I composed the piano melody for the song, I was inspired by Paradise Lost’s One Second. The heavy guitars are the backbone of the track, emphasizing the atmosphere I was aiming for while composing BTD,” says the band’s frontman and composer Jere Luokkamäki.

“Before The Dawn” is dark in atmosphere, yet at the same time a hopeful protest against withering bitterness, acknowledging a love that, in its eternity, never dies.

“Love songs, especially breakup songs, are often some kind of empowerment anthems – I don’t know how to write those. I wanted to approach the lyrics in a broader temporal context — what about when the wounds have healed, when anger and bitterness have subsided? Do we dare to walk the path all the way to grace?” says Kansana, the song’s lead lyricist.

The music video for “Before The Dawn” is visually as rich as a French film, while also serving as the opening chapter of an audiovisual trilogy. The video has previously been shown in a private preview.

“It’s rare that something gives me goosebumps, but this music and video combination did just that. Absolutely incredible!” says Joni Kantoniemi of Inverse Records.

The atmospheric video was filmed in an over 200-year-old Ostrobothnian house called ‘Itämäen talo’. “The music video introduces the first pieces of a larger puzzle we’ve been building. Segmentia is a band whose future is worth watching — and listening to — closely,” says Tomi Salminen (ToJuSa Media), the creator of the music video.

The track, which was previously featured in a preview on a Finnish national radio station, YleX, is now available on all streaming platforms, and the music video can be watched on the band’s YouTube channel.

MISSION IN BLACK Unleash New album “Divinity Of Lies” with Lyric Video for ‘Liquid Fire’

MISSION IN BLACK released their third album “Divinity Of Lies”!

Album after album, the quintet has consistently carved out a solid place for itself in the melodic death metal scene. Steffi Stuber’s transitions between growls and clean vocals are just as much a hallmark of the band as their intricate yet powerful instrumental work. Comparisons to other big names in the scene are inevitable, of course, but anyone who has seen the band live knows that they consistently forge their own path.

To celebrate the occasion, a new lyric video is also being released:
Drummer Andy Black: “For quite a while, I only knew this song as an ‘instrumental version’—we have an extremely catchy guitar lead here, and I was really curious to see how Steffi would add her own touches to the vocal lines. With the vocal melodies, the song now sounds super catchy, but it still has a lot of changes, which keeps it musically exciting.”

Digital: save-it.cc/epr/divinity-of-lies or directly on Spotify

“DIVINITY OF LIES” is available on CD and vinyl and also as limited edition collector’s box!

MISSION IN BLACK is a German five-piece melodic death metal band from Baden Württemberg that has been consistently forging its own path since 2010. Their sound combines metallic aggression with epic depth, blending melodic death metal with thrash influences into a powerful and energetic whole. Founded by Andy Flache (drums), Daniel Tschoepe (guitar), Martin Grimm and Hannes Jäger, the band released their first demo Black Infect in 2011, quickly earning stage time with bands such as Brainstorm and Mystic Prophecy. With their debut album Anthems Of A Dying Breed (2018, El Puerto Records), MISSION IN BLACK established themselves as a formidable live act. Their second album, Profit Reigns Supreme (2018), produced by Sebastian „Seeb“ Levermann (Orden Ogan, Rhapsody Of Fire, Brainstorm), confirmed this status and receiving strong response through ist accompanying music videos. Between 2023 and 2025, the band appeared at numerous renowned festivals, including Rage Against Racism, Area 53, Easter Cross Festival, Castle Rock Festival and Metalacker Festival. International performances in Belgium, Hungary and the Czech Republic, as well as support shows for Nightrage and Rage on the A New World Rising Tour, underlined their growing international presence. Beyond the stage, the band actively engaged in social causes: since 2024, MISSION IN BLACK have been official ambassadors of the Captain Paul Foundation Germany e.V., regularly supporting charity events. In April 2026, MISSION IN BLACK released their third studio album Divinity Of Lies (24.04.2026), once again mixed and mastered by Sebastian „Seeb“ Levermann. A major live highlight in 2026 will be their performance at the RVBang Festival in Balingen alongside Michael Schenker, Sonata Arctica and Tankard. MISSION IN BLACK thus stands for modern melodic death metal – without compromises, committed and always moving in one direction: forward.

WILLIAM SHATNER Goes Heavy: New Metal Album Brings Together DAVE LOMBARDO, JOHN MOYER & All-Star Cast of Rock Powerhouses

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 28, 2026

William Shatner is stepping into heavier territory than ever before, launching a new metal album that pairs his unmistakable voice and fearless creative energy with a lineup of major rock and metal talent. Bold, unexpected and built for maximum impact, the project is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about hard rock releases on the horizon.

Alongside the previously announced Rob Halford, Shatner now reveals the recruitment of John Moyer of Disturbed, one of modern hard rock’s most recognizable and powerful bass players; and Dave Lombardo — the iconic drummer whose work with Slayer helped redefine thrash metal and whose legacy with the Misfits further cemented his place in rock history.

“It was a true privilege to contribute drums to William Shatner’s ambitious heavy metal project,” says Dave.  “At any age, real artists keep pushing boundaries — and this one pushes them into orbit.”

Behind the boards, the project is being driven by a heavyweight production team led by Adam Hamilton (L.A. Guns, Brian Jonestown Massacre) and Brian Perera, President of Cleopatra Records, with additional production from Derek Hughes, Marcus Nand, and Jürgen Engler of Die Krupps.

And the momentum is only building: another Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist will be announced shortly, adding yet another major name to a cast that already spans multiple generations of hard rock and metal excellence.

For Shatner, this is not a novelty move — it is a full-scale artistic statement. At 95, he is leaning into the power, danger and drama of heavy music with the same sense of commitment and conviction that has defined his career across film, television, spoken word and music.

This album finds him channeling something raw and primal: the shock of volume, the force of rhythm and the emotional charge that made heavy music a permanent cultural force.

Shatner is also setting out to do something virtually unprecedented — uniting an all-time cast of rock and metal superstars for a single album built on ambition, scale and genuine musical chemistry. The result is a project designed not just to surprise listeners, but to hit with real authority.

Fueled by massive musicianship and a shared appetite for sonic risk, the album blends Shatner’s commanding vocal presence with the crushing energy of top-tier players and producers who understand how to make heavy music feel cinematic, physical and alive. It reaches back to the spirit of the era when music felt dangerous and larger than life, while pushing forward with a modern intensity all its own.

Shatner has said he feels this music in his bones — as something shattering, youthful and alive — reconnecting him with the visceral thrill of a time when things got truly heavy. That spirit runs through the entire project, which aims to deliver not just star power, but impact.

With additional guest appearances still under wraps, the album is quickly emerging as a major crossover moment: part metal event record, part artistic left turn, and entirely unmistakable in its vision.

More details, including the album title, release date, and additional featured artists, will be announced soon.

GODTHRYMM Drop New Single ‘The Sun Never Fell’ from Forthcoming Album

UK doom metal heavyweights GODTHRYMM continue to unveil the depth and scope of their forthcoming third full-length album “Projections”, set for release on May 29 via Profound Lore Records, with the second single “The Sun Never Fell”. Following the debut of “Truth In My Own”, the new track offers a powerful glimpse into the band’s more expansive and atmospheric side, blending crushing weight with soaring melodic textures.

As guitarist and vocalist Hamish Glencross states: “We present ‘The Sun Never Fell’ as our second single from ‘Projections’, as it showcases the more grandiose epic sound of the band full of vocal harmonies, layer upon layer of instrumentation and massive riffs. The song strives to shine light through crushing darkness, with hope leading out of despair“.

Stream the single HERE

With “Projections”, GODTHRYMM bring to a close a journey that began with their 2020 debut “Reflections” and continued with 2023’s critically acclaimed “Distortions”. In the years since “Reflections”, the band have steadily built a reputation as one of the most notable emerging acts from the UK’s doom scene, often recognized for channeling the spirit of early-to-mid ‘90s British doom metal – a sound closely associated with genre pioneers such as My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, and Anathema.

Considering GODTHRYMM was formed and is helmed by UK doom metal veteran Hamish Glencross (formerly of My Dying Bride, Vallenfyre, and Solstice) and features drummer Shaun Taylor-Steels (formerly of My Dying Bride, Anathema, and Solstice), that classic UK doom metal DNA is already deeply embedded in the band’s sonic fabric.

This is clearly reflected on “Projections”, which is far from a nostalgic exercise, instead expanding further on the foundations laid by “Distortions”. With its expanded lineup, the album sees GODTHRYMM pushing their sound into new levels of depth, complexity, and dynamic range, while still retaining the colossal, emotionally charged heaviness that has defined the band’s identity since its inception. The result is a work that expands their sound further in both scope and cohesion – arguably their most layered, varied, complex, and aggressive release to date.

Tracklist:
01. Trenches Deep
02. Truth In My Own
03. The Sun Never Fell
04. Endure My Skin (feat. Aaron Stainthorpe)
05. Jewels
06. Hope Is Eternal

“Projections” was recorded at various stages throughout the last year at different studios with Andy Hawkins and Glencross at the helm. Cover art was done by Mitchell Nolte.

The album drops May 29 on Profound Lore Records and is available for pre-order HERE

To celebrate the release, GODTHRYMM’s album launch show will take place on June 6 at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds in partnership with Crash Records. Tickets are on sale now HERE.

Live:
06/06/26 Leeds (UK) – Brudenell Social Club (Album Release Show)

Hamish Glencross – Guitar & vocals
Shaun Taylor-Steels – Drums
Bob Crolla – Bass
