Italian/Swedish hard rock/heavy metal band Hell in the Club unleash today their new single and official video, “Call Me At 666”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl.

The band said: “This is a fun rock song. It invites you to let loose, hit the streets and dance, not take yourself too seriously all the time, and occasionally break the mold. It encourages you to live life and not always be a “good” boy or girl – to step out of the house now and then, even with your inner devil in tow. It’s a playful track that harkens back to the band’s roots while reflecting their current maturity – a sort of “Rock Down This Place 2.0”.”

Hell in the Club, a killer hard rock band with a style rooted in the classic ‘80s sound and its own modern identity, were founded by Andrea “Andy” Buratto (Secret Sphere), Dave “Damna” Moras (Elvenking) and Andrea “Picco” Piccardi. 

The band has carved out a solid reputation through six acclaimed studio albums, extensive European touring with acts like Crashdïet, Jettblack, and Crucified Barbara, and appearances at major festivals including Sonisphere, Basin Fire Fest, and Heineken Jammin’ Festival.

After signing to Frontiers Records in 2017 and releasing “See You On The Other Side”, Hell in the Club followed with “Hell Of Fame” (2020), the “Kamikaze” EP (2020, celebrating their 10th anniversary), and their sixth album “F.U.B.A.R.” (2022), a straight-up hard rock record hailed as one of their strongest to date.

Following the departure of founding vocalist Dave Moras, the band faced a turning point. Instead of replacing him with a similar voice, bassist Andy proposed a bold shift: introducing a female singer. Enter Terese “Tezzi” Persson (Infinite & Divine, Venus 5), a powerhouse vocalist from Sweden with a voice perfectly suited to the band’s raw, high-energy style. After a single rehearsal, the choice was clear.

In April 2024, Tezzi officially joined the band, debuting with the single Carolina Reaper. Momentum quickly built toward the creation of their seventh album: “Joker In The Pack”, released last November.

“Joker In The Pack” is the first with Tezzi fronting the band – and it captures Hell in the Club at their fiercest. Ten tracks of pure adrenaline, from the fiery opener “The Devil Won’t Forget Me” to the emotional closer “When The Veil Of Night Falls”.

Finnish modern metal outfit BLIND CHANNEL serves up the next musical glimpse of their upcoming studio album, ‘Painstream,’ with their mesmerizing new single “Stars We See,” which transforms an existential crisis into a powerful message of hope, reminding humanity that life’s fleeting nature is what makes it meaningful.

MAGNUS ROSÉN BAND Present New Instrumental Mini-Album “Outside the Rock Box”

A journey beyond the boundaries of rock, blending funk, fusion, folk and polkka. Magnus Rosén and M.R.B. invite listeners to step outside the box and discover a world without musical borders.

Some musicians choose to remain within the boundaries of their genre. Others feel the need to explore what lies beyond them.

Magnus Rosén Band (M.R.B.) clearly belong to the second category.

With “Outside the Rock Box,” the band presents a new instrumental mini-album created as a tribute to the musicians, bands and artists who have inspired a remarkable musical journey over the years — a journey built on freedom, experimentation and an open-minded approach to music.

The title itself perfectly captures the philosophy behind the project:

Why stay inside the frame when you can discover the rest of the world?

“Outside the Rock Box” takes rock as its starting point, but refuses to remain confined to it. The compositions move through funk and fusion, while unexpectedly embracing elements of folk and polkka, creating an original, dynamic and unpredictable musical experience.

This freedom of exploration is what makes the new M.R.B. release particularly intriguing. It is not simply an instrumental record, but a genuine sonic journey where musicianship, groove, improvisation and curiosity come together without boundaries.

At the heart of the project is Magnus Rosén, the internationally renowned Swedish bassist, joined by an outstanding line-up of musicians.

WORMWOOD Unveil Official Music Video for ‘Purposeless Geometry’

WORMWOOD, one of Sweden’s most distinctive and internationally acclaimed metal bands, proudly unveils the music video for “PURPOSELESS GEOMETRY,” the second track taken from the recently released EP ‘Å,’ out now via Black Lodge Records / Sound Pollution. The EP contains two long tracks in classic WORMWOOD fashion, while also introducing new elements that have found their way into the sound as WORMWOOD continues to evolve as a band.

“PURPOSELESS GEOMETRY” portrays Stockholm from the margins of society, a city of buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure created to bring structure and direction to human existence. Yet as the sense of belonging fades, so too does the meaning of the surrounding world. What once symbolized function, progress, and purpose gradually dissolves into empty geometric forms within an environment where the individual has become alienated from both society and themselves.

In the video, the words take center stage, accompanied by slow, almost documentary-like footage captured throughout Stockholm and its outskirts.

The video features previously unreleased handheld footage from the filming of the “YRA | EXTAS” music video, starring actress Astrid Hallén, alongside aerial drone footage shot by Svartna Film. The video also includes a separate acting performance by Crister Claesson.

The result serves as a visual extension of the song’s central theme: humanity placed amid the monumental structures of the modern city, while their original purpose slowly erodes and disappears.

With four full-length albums, one EP, a live release, and now the forthcoming ‘Å,’ WORMWOOD have built a catalog that continually evolves while deepening the band’s artistic identity. Their work has received widespread recognition: two nominations for “Rock/Metal of the Year” at P3 Guld, strong placements on the official Swedish charts, and recurring international praise from metal media around the world. WORMWOOD have also appeared on several global “Album of the Year” lists – a testament to their growing influence.

THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET Announce New Album “Penance” + Reveal First & Only Single ‘Si Quaeris’

On their 5th full-length, THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET inject the feral obscurity of avant-primitivist Black Metal into cinematic Darkjazz, in a dramatic expansion of the project’s inimitable musical language.

Following-up 2022’s shadowed and contemplative DMP debut, “Miserere“, and 2023’s “The Horror Cosmic” (released via Denovali), Jason Köhnen (BONG-RA, THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE, THE ANSWER LIES IN THE BLACK VOID, CELESTIAL SEASON) now presents “Penance (De lijken van de Gebroeders De Witt)” – a morbid and unsettling reflection upon a 1675 work by School of Amsterdam painter Jan Baen, which is used as the forthcoming album’s cover art.

In 1672, the De Witt brothers were beaten, mutilated and hanged before a crowd for alleged treason. It is said that the observers themselves committed acts of cannibalism with the brothers’ severed body parts. The event and subsequent painting by Jan Baen offers a reflection on incredible human barbarism that has always profoundly affected Köhnen.

Köhnen describes his first encounter with this unique work:

“I think I first bumped into it at art school back in the late 90s while covering the Golden Age of Dutch oil paintings. The brutality and the background of the story did haunt for me for a while. Not only is the painting by a fellow Dutchman, but the story also covers a barbaric execution of these two brothers. It is also the only recorded account of the public eating – yes, consuming – politicians. A warning for the future maybe… Love at first sight, or more like disgust and fascination at first sight.“

As an introduction, THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET present ‘Si Quaeris‘ as the first and only single from the forthcoming album.

Köhnen had this to say re: the first single and album opener:

“This song has all the ingredients and atmosphere captured on the album, but it also offers an extension to the previous “Miserere” album. Maybe we can say that “Penance” dives more into melancholic despair than its predecessor…“

THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET is one of the many projects from multi-instrumentalist Jason Köhnen. Renowned for his previous projects BONG-RA or THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE and THE MOUNT FUJI DOOMJAZZ CORPORATION.

Köhnen coined the term “Darkjazz” back in 1999 when he composed a track entitled ‘Darkjazz‘ for his 2001 “Darkbreaks” EP. From that point embarking on a long musical journey into dark experimentations with the jazz sound palette in combination with a plethora of genres.

THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET was evoked after a void appeared with the ending of his other Darkjazz outlets, firstly TKDE and TMFDJC and then the short lived THE THING WITH FIVE EYES project which saw Köhnen‘s first flirtations with Arabic scales and instruments, progressively transforming into his MANSUR project together with ex-PHURPA member Dmitry El Demerdashi and avantgarde metal THY CATAFALQUE vocalist Martina Hórvath.

Köhnen‘s approach to his releases with THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET are to open the spectrum of Darkjazz in all its wonderful and mysterious facets. Seeing each release as a script and soundtrack to a different movie, setting a different pace and atmosphere and playing with unorthodox climaxes and atmospheres. The projects hosts a list of dedicated guest musicians, who all participate as the leading actors in these scripts, all playing a crucial role in the soundtracks of these non-existing movies.

THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET releases albums on Denovali Records and Debemur Morti Productions, in a way where the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde part of this project comes to its best and most creative fruition.

Apart from the conceptual audio releases, THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET also navigates through the multi-disciplinary arts. The “In Memoriam” release saw a first in a series of short stories and audiobooks combined with an album. Future releases will see more art disciplines combined as a release.
