February 7, 2025 will not only see Swedish hard rock force Thundermother embark on an extensive European tour, but celebrate the release of their much-awaited and critically acclaimed, new studio album Dirty & Divine! Two years on from the release of their success album Black & Gold, the rock quartet will release their sixth studio offering as CD, Vinyl and Digital formats through AFM Records; to pre-order your copy visit: https://thundermother.bfan.link/dirty-divine

After a series of auspicious and anthemic single-releases, today, Thundermother premiere a music video for their new album single “Can’t Put Out The Fire”. Singer Linnea Vikström Egg says about the song:

“Can’t Put Out The Fire” is Thundermothers love letter to rock n’ roll and more specifically – KISS! It’s a trip down nostalgia lane to the time where our childhood rock n’ roll dreams were made. You wanted the best, and you got it – THUNDERMOTHER!”

Listen now on all digital streaming services at: https://thundermother.bfan.link/can-t-put-out-the-fire

Dirty & Divine is the perfect, pugnacious showcase for a new, improved Thundermother. As all of the previously-released singles prove, every one of the album’s ten, sweat-soaked gems will turn out to become an instant anthem. Meanwhile, the decision to record the new material live in the studio has reaped its own rewards. Dirty & Divine is the sound of a kickass rock ‘n’ roll band doing it for real, and loving every raucous second!

Thundermother have always been committed to the electrifying euphoria of real, organic rock ‘n’ roll. Over the course of 15 years and five widely acclaimed studio albums, they have firmly established themselves as one of the most vivacious and vital hard rock bands around, with a never-say-die spirit and collective charisma that underpin everything they do.

A blistering onslaught of loud, proud and groovy hard rock, their upcoming studio offering Dirty & Divine marks the start of a new era for Thundermother and the recorded debut of two new members: frontwoman Linnea Vikström Egg and drummer Joan Massing. Dirty & Divine also welcomes back bassist Majsan Lindberg to the fold. Bigger, bolder and more dynamic than ever before, the Swedes return as an upgraded and remotivated force! These women are rock ‘n’ roll diehards, and Dirty & Divine takes that ethos through to its logical conclusion. The new Thundermother album crackles and fizzles with gritty authenticity and unstoppable passion.

Not just a triumphant return but a complete rock ‘n’ roll reset, Dirty & Divine is the exhilarating masterpiece that Thundermother have long threatened to make. It is an adrenalin-soaked salute to the magic of big riffs and razor-sharp melodies, performed by an electrifying, four-woman force with joy in their hearts and world domination still firmly on the agenda. In support of Dirty & Divine, Thundermother will embark on an extensive European tour, kicking off in Hamburg, Germany on the album release day (find all upcoming shows listed below!). Ready to rock? GRAVE DIGGER Celebrate “Bone Collector” Album Release with Music Video for Title Track + Tour Kick Off with VICTORY

2025 does not only see German iconic metal institution Grave Digger celebrate its 45th anniversary, but the release of their critically acclaimed 23rd studio album “Bone Collector”, that is out now on ROAR! In support of “Bone Collector”, the band has just kicked off an extensive album release tour with very special guests VICTORY. Find all current and upcoming dates listed below!

“Bone Collector” is available as a CD digipak, picture vinyl, colored marbled vinyl, RPM exclusive splatter vinyl and digitally. At the RPM & ROAR Mailorder Shop, the limited splatter vinyl and the digipak are also available as a bundle with the exclusive “Old School” shirt. To order your copy of this must-have gem, one that belongs into every well-sorted heavy metal record collection, visit: https://gravedigger.rpm.link/bonecollectorpr

Founded in 1980 in Gladbeck, they set out to conquer the world; who would have thought that 45 years later Grave Digger would be one of the most important, consistent and influential metal bands from Germany. With the release of their ground-breaking debut “Heavy Metal Breakdown” in 1984, an unprecedented career began that will find its logical continuation more than four decades later with the band’s much-waited new masterpiece “Bone Collector”, an album that sees the band going back to their old school roots.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Chris Boltendahl, optically set in scene by Brazilian artist Wanderley Perna, “Bone Collector” marks a work of art that heralds a new Grave Digger era.

“Here it is at last, our new studio album, true to the motto: #gravediggeroldschool. With Tobi Kersting in the band, we have focused on the essentials of our sound again after many years with numerous concept albums: Concise straightforward metal songs that burn themselves into your brain stems after the first listen. “Bone Collector” doesn’t sound like off-the-shelf stuff, but highly energetic, fresh and you’ll notice that we had a lot of fun with the songs. We’re looking forward to your reaction and 45 years of Grave Digger live with you,” Boltendahl recently said.

“Bone Collector” Tracklist:

  1. Bone Collector
  2. The Rich The Poor The Dying
  3. Kingdom Of Skulls
  4. The Devil’s Serenade
  5. Killing Is My Pleasure
  6. Mirror Of Hate
  7. Riders Of Doom
  8. Made Of Madness
  9. Graveyard Kings
  10. Forever Evil & Buried Alive
  11. Whispers Of The Damned!

GOTTHARD Unleash New Single & Video ‘Thunder & Lightning’

Swiss hard rock legends GOTTHARD have kicked off the new year with the release of their second single, ‘Thunder & Lightning,’ from their upcoming 12-track studio album “Stereo Crush.” As the world remains blanketed in snow, this new track spreads spring fever with its uplifting leads and emotionally charged storyline about love, quickly capturing the hearts of fans and heightening anticipation for the band’s eagerly awaited new album.

Secure your copy [digipak-CD, jewelcase-CD, red marbled vinyl, digital] or pre-save “Stereo Crush” now, here: https://gotthard.rpm.link/stereocrushPR

Alongside the worldwide launch of pre-orders, GOTTHARD are also excited to reveal the cover artwork for “Stereo Crush,” set to hit the shelves on March 21, 2025 via RPM. The artwork, designed by Thomas Ewerhard, who has previously collaborated with the band, perfectly encapsulates the album’s themes of honesty, rawness, and a broad spectrum of emotions.

“Freddy [Scherer; guitars] came to my house with the musical idea for this song. We started there and came up with the structure and the vocal melodies together and recorded the demo there. I then spent quite some time figuring out lyrics. The sound of the chorus riff somehow sounded electric to me, and I was thinking of words like ‘lighting,’ ‘thunder’ etc…and then I thought of the concept of how lighting never strikes twice but in this case it does, using this as a metaphor for love. Also in French, which I’m fluent in, you can say that ‘love at first sight’ is like getting hit by a bolt of lighting,” singer Nic Maeder sheds light on the track’s creation.

After releasing two singles, there’s no really doubt that GOTTHARD are more than ready for the future with “Stereo Crush”! Decorated with a powerful and contemporary production, the album delivers a series of big anthems but also a few surprises which help the Swiss icons to improve their DNA fresh and to spice up the essence of their trademark sound in an exciting way. It’s clear like Swiss glacier water: 2025 belongs to GOTTHARD!

WARDRUNA Release New Video for ‘Heimta Thurs’ (Live at the Acropolis)

Posted by tarjavirmakari on January 18, 2025

Norwegian world music collective Wardruna is now releasing a live video for the song “Heimta Thurs”. The video is a part of the band’s ‘Live at the Acropolis’ show, which will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray alongside Wardruna’s new album Birna on January 24.

Originating from Wardruna’s debut record ‘Runaljod – Gap var ginnunga’, the song “Heimta Thurs” has grown into one of the group’s most iconic songs and a fan favorite. Set against the backdrop of the world heritage site Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Acropolis, the composition and visual experience reach new heights.

The connection between the old and ancient, deeply human and natural at the same time, can be felt at every live performance of Wardruna, resounding equally on stage and throughout the audience. ‘Live at the Acropolis’ is a testament to that.

Captured for all eternity by Kolibri Media, Wardruna now presents the DVD and Blu-Ray ‘Live at the Acropolis’, featuring the full show, additional interviews and impressions of the meet and greet at the Underflow Record Store.

Birna – the she-bear in Old Norse – is a work of art dedicated to the warden of the forest, nature’s caretaker, and her battles here on earth. Slowly driven out of her habitat by modern day societies, she has entered a stage of permanent hibernation. As a result, the forest is gradually dying, longing for its pulseand heart – its shepherd. Birna calls for her return.

Birna nurtures the insight that has been at the core of Selvik’s philosophy right from the start: sowing new seeds whilst strengthening old roots. Instruments and wisdom from ancient times, coupled with modern day soundscapes and recorded sounds of nature, provide a rare opportunity to tell us something valuable about ourselves. It works as a reminder that we are part of nature, not above it, and it offers a way of remembering, not for memory’s own sake, but to gain both new and forgotten insights.

Along with the new album comes the recorded show of Wardruna’s unique equinox performance at the world heritage site Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Acropolis, Athens.
Spanning over two hours, the show featured outstanding live performances of songs from the group’s discography, such as Helvegen, Kvitravn, Heimta Thurs and Lyfjaberg.

Pestilent Scars is a five-piece melodic death metal band from Oulu. All the members are between 18 and 19 years old. The band’s central themes focus on melodic songwriting, pure emotion, tight gigs and overall the old school way of getting around.

The band released their debut album Meadows of Misfortune on January 17th 2025 via Inverse Records.

LISTEN to the album: https://push.fm/fl/pestilent-scars-meadows

The band comments:
“Well, here it is.

We’ve been waiting for this moment like the rising sun, and we’re more than happy to finally let you all listen to our day’s work!

We’re talking of course about our just released debut album entitled ‘Meadows Of Misfortune’. A collection of raw, young emotion scattered across 10 songs that showcase northern melancholy, rage and loss through fast riffs, blast beats and horrid screams.

We really hope you enjoy the album and maybe find something you can relate to!”
