STORM ORCHESTRA Reveal Brand-New Song ‘Crush The Mirrors’ Feat. Bertrand Poncet

Paris’ alt-rockers Storm Orchestra revealed the video for the high-octane new single “Crush the Mirrors” featuring Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! vocalist Bertrand Poncet. You can watch the video HERE. Stream the single at https://lnk.to/stormorchestra

“Crush the Mirrors” sees the band harvest the heavier side of their arsenal whilst still retaining their ability to craft a stadium-filling chorus. On the song, they are joined by Bertrand Poncet from French hardcore-pop-punk crossover heroes Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! who lends his guttural vocals to the anthemic track.

“This song really departs from what we’ve been doing the last few years. The tone, theme and overall vibe is way darker; I’d even say there is an inner violence to it,” says singer-guitarist Maxime Goudard. “We can feel that it’s harder to play at the energy level it requires, physically speaking. Guitars are tricky; the main drumbeat is a bit odd, and there are lots of different emotions, especially on the bridge. Lyrics are the most introspective we’ve written as a band. The first few parts were written at the end of 2022, and it was a challenging period for some of us.”

It’s the first time the band have collaborated with another artist. “We are so happy and proud that this song features Bert as producer, co-writer and performer. What he achieved with C!NCC! has been massively inspirational for many bands, including us, in the French alternative scene.”

Regarding the collaboration, Poncet – who has also been producing the band from their early days – says, “We knew we wanted to do a song together, so it’s no surprise it finally happened. This song was the perfect occasion. This is a peculiar song on this album. I felt they were trying to get out of their comfort zone, and I thought there was something to play to “shock” the audience even more, and that’s how I approached it here. At first, we thought it would be more of a filler song, but it seemed more special than that. There’s a very interesting progression. Notably, it becomes very melodic and airy on the bridge. I felt transported and thought the next part should be the opposite. That’s where we did this stuff to grab the audience by the throat and bring them six (or a thousand) feet underground. I like to see a song as a voyage, and this one is exactly that.”

The video was shot with Julien Metternich, who captured them in a raw and back-to-the-basics environment. Filmed as a one-sequence shot, entirely unedited, surrounded by amps and a few lights. “We had to do it several times to get the perfect shot. It turns out the last one of the day was the right one: you can witness tiredness and suffering, and I can tell you Julien and the crew were feeling exactly the same,” remembers Goudard.

They have recently released the single for “Drummer“, which has picked up an incredible amount of playlisting across Amazon, Deezer, Tidal and Spotify, including bagging New Music Friday’s Global as well as NMF USA, UK, Australia/New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Mexico and Egypt as well as playlisting in Spain and Japan.

The song has connected with fans across the globe. Talking about the song singer-guitarist Maxime Goudard says, “This song is a fun one that we wrote a few years ago. It’s inspired by some antics, stories from friends, and our very own Drummer.”

“Drummer” followed the metallic alt-rock “Bright Soul,” in which Goudard opens up about his fear of letting his dark side take over the person he wants to be.

Longtime friends Maxime Goudard (vocals, guitar), Adrien Richard (bass), and Loïc Fouquet’s (drums) euphoric grandiosity have seen them emerge as one of the most exciting bands on the Paris music scene. As a then-unsigned band, they picked up an impressive combined 4M streams at the end of last year, ending 2023 in a triumphant fashion as the “Artist to Watch in 2024” by Spotify France and in the Top of the Rock: Best of 2023 and Deezer’s 2023 Rock playlists.

They’ve captured lightning in a bottle and are selling out clubs across France, shone on the festival circuit, captivated crowds on a tour of Germany in September with Lonely Spring and announced themselves on the big stage when they opened for Black Stone Cherry at L’Olympia, Paris earlier in November.

Light and dark, euphoria and heaviness, glamour and aggression – Storm Orchestra are here to be your new favourite band.

Fellowship has released a video for “Hold Up Your Hearts Again”, third single taken from the new album “The Skies Above Eternity” to be released on November 22nd by Scarlet Records. PRE-ORDER/PRE-SAVE

Kicking off the new record as a whole, “Hold Up Your Hearts (Again)” is the classic Fellowship joy revisited. No darkness here, just adventure, friendship, a rippin’ solo and the high seas! Our heroes sail into the unknown, knowing only that wherever the oceans take them will bring new stories, new memories and new songs. It calls for listeners to wear their hearts on their sleeves and go one better; to hold them up high, so that all those who wish to join in on the journey can see from miles around.

POWER METAL FOR ETERNITY

  • produced by Rich Campbell at Orpheus Studio & mixed by Alexander Backlund at Fascination Street Studios;
  • stellar cover artwork by Peter Sallai (Sabaton, Powerwolf, Feuerschwanz);
  • for fans of Twilight Force, Sabaton, Gloryhammer, Majestica, Galneryus;
artwork by Peter Sallai

Fellowship was the absolute power metal revelation of 2022 with their magnificent debut album “The Saberlight Chronicles”; after successfully bringing their positive vibes live in Europe and Japan, and hitting the American stage for the first time as headliners of the Mad With Power Fest on August 2nd, the English band is now ready to take things to the next level with their sophomore record.

“The Skies Above Eternity” is a journey into a new side of the Fellowship sound: darker, and more dynamic, but still retaining their classic sense of joy, this album tells a new story that delves into a deeper sense of melancholy with themes of helplessness and resistance, asks us to find joy in the darkest of places through its uplifting, powerful choruses, and reminds us that with each new day comes new hope – because sometimes all it takes to find it is looking up at the skies above you.

Drawing additional influence from Japanese power metal and delivering non-stop bangers from start to finish, this might just be the work that catapults Fellowship all the way up to the stars!

“The Skies Above Eternity” tracklist:
1 Hold Up Your Hearts (Again)
2 Victim
3 The Bitter Winds
4 Dawnbreaker
5 Eternity
6 King Of Nothing

8 A New Hope
9 Memories On The Wind

“DA ZERO A MILLE” – The Story of ROCKIN’1000 And Other Crazy Ideas

Posted by tarjavirmakari on November 15, 2024
Posted in: News. Tagged: Fabio Zaffagnini, Rockin'1000. Leave a comment

The founder and CEO of Rockin’1000, Fabio Zaffagnini, is ready to unveil his story with ‘Da Zero a Mille’ (From Zero to Thousand), the autobiography that chronicles his extraordinary journey in creating the world’s largest band. The launch event will take place on Monday, November 25, at 6:00 PM, at the Mondadori Duomo bookstore in Milan, followed by a Rockin’1000 Jam at 8:30 PM at the Hard Rock Cafe Milan. The event will be hosted by Lodovica Comello and Michele Riva. Free entry, reservation required via registration at: https://DaZeroaMille.eventbrite.it

A Journey Between Dreams and Rock’n’Roll
From Zero to Thousand tells the unique journey of a life filled with bold choices, wild adventures, and behind-the-scenes stories. Fabio guides us through a life marked by curiosity and risk, a blend of experiences ranging from expeditions to remote lands, encounters with extraordinary people, and the viral Learn to Fly video to performing concerts around the world with Rockin’1000. Every page provides an up-close look at the milestones of a dream, filled with intense moments, hard-earned successes, and some disappointments.

Beyond the stories and anecdotes, the book also delves into fundamental concepts such as creativity, ambition, and the true meaning of pursuing a dream, which is often difficult and painful. What emerges is a mosaic of experiences revealing the behind-the-scenes of an unprecedented endeavor, blending moments of pure madness with immense passion for music that made this project possible. From Zero to Thousand is ultimately an inspiring source for those who love exploring new horizons, dreaming big, and for all rockers—declared or secret—always on the lookout for new challenges and stimuli.

“Writing this book made me realize how much time and experience it takes to bring an idea to life. In the case of Rockin’1000, it took thirty years of life and choices. I wanted to reflect on the real cost of dreams, removing the idealized aura that often surrounds them,” says the author.

On Monday, November 25 at Mondadori Duomo, Fabio will be in conversation with Lodovica Comello—actress, singer, and TV and radio host who presented the Rockin’1000 show in Cesena—and Michele Riva, CEO of ROI Edizioni, to discuss how From Zero to Thousand was born and to answer questions from the audience. A book signing session will follow. The evening will close with the Rockin’1000 Jam at the Hard Rock Cafe Milan, where musicians will take turns performing, bringing the spirit of Rockin’1000 to the stage in an event of pure collective energy.

Rockin’1000 is working on creating the English edition as well. Stay tuned!

Critically acclaimed British blues rock guitarist and vocalist Troy Redfern undertakes his biggest headline tour of the UK with 18 dates staring off at The Temperance in Leamington Spa on March 1st. *Special guests are Red Giant featuring YouTube guitar innovator Dave Simpson.

Tickets for all shows are available from www.solidentertainments.com

The highly anticipated tour will feature Troy Redfern (guitar, lead vocals), Keira Kenworthy (bass, backing vocals), and Nicky Waters (drums, percussion). Redfern will perform songs from his current album Invocation, plus fan favourites from his extensive back catalogue.

Troy’s albums and latest merchandise are available from www.troyredfern.com/shop.

In addition to being a popular attraction on the festival circuit, Redfern’s UK touring track record reflects a hardworking and relentless musician at the top of his game. He’s toured the UK with Philip Sayce, Robert Jon & The Wreck, When Rivers Meet, The Sweet, and many more.

Following his November 2023 UK tour supporting guitar virtuoso Philip Sayce, Redfern was invited back to tour the UK with Sayce in November and December 2024.  Redfern’s current album Invocation follows followed his critically acclaimed 2022 studio album The Wings of Salvation which received rave reviews.

“Redfern balances big-league chops with mad songwriting skills to bring us an action-packed set of blues rock that will blow out your windows,” says Blues Rock Review.

“As an artist, I feel it’s important to keep pushing and striving to refine your art, while staying true to your vision.,” says Redfern. “It is important to know who you are as an artist. With songs including “The Strange”, “Van Helsing,” and “Getaway,” I think I’ve perfected my own unique sound.”

Redfern’s special guest at selected dates is Red Giant, the three-piece rock band and brainchild of guitar prodigy Dave Simpson’s whose YouTube channel has over 138,000 subscribers. Red Giant’s recently released eponymous debut album has received critical acclaim. “Comprising elements of rock, blues and grunge,” says Velvet Thunder, “the album is a refreshing and dynamic experience from start to finish.”

Red Giant’s latest single “Friends” is a homage to Simpson’s younger days of inebriated nihilism which portrays a typical Friday and Saturday night in the UK. With its driving riffs, powerful rhythm, and harmony guitar solo, it recalls legendary duos like Thin Lizzy’s Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson, Iron Maiden’s Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, and Metallica’s James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.
