“Livin’ On the Bad Side”, the debut album by Crimson Storm, will be released on January 14, 2025, through Fighter Records. The Spanish speed/heavy metal band Crimson Storm was originally formed in 2009 by guitarist and primary songwriter Lögan Heads in Sardinia, Italy, with the goal of reviving the glory of ‘80s heavy, power, and speed metal. Their name was inspired by Riot’s track “Sign of the Crimson Storm.”

Following several lineup changes, Crimson Storm released their first EP, “Motor City Maniac” in 2014, followed by the 7″ EP “Speed Hammerin’ Metal” in 2015. Later that year, Lögan Heads moved to Barcelona and reformed the band with new members, eventually leading to the release of their second EP, “Outrageous,” in 2019. In 2022, the band made a triumphant return to live performances, supporting Stallion in Murcia and playing at Trveheim Festival in Germany and Pyrenean Warriors Open Air in France.

In 2024, Crimson Storm entered the studio to record their first full-length album, “Livin’ On the Bad Side.” The album features new tracks alongside reworked versions of earlier singles, delivering a mix of nostalgia, rebellious spirit, and the raw energy of ‘80s metal.

Finnish metal artist MAGNADUR is proud to announce the release of the emotionally charged single “Save Me”, marking the first taste of the upcoming album “My Life,” set for release in Spring 2025. “Save Me” is a deeply personal and melodic metal song that explores the journey of self-discovery and redemption. Spain’s death metal titans AVULSED are back with Phoenix Cryptobiosis, their eighth studio album and the first collection of original material in 12 years. Formed in 1991 by vocalist Dave Rotten, the band has remained unwavering in their devotion to death metal for nearly 34 uninterrupted years.

The album drops on March 4, 2025, via Xtreem Music, and will be available in CD, 12” LP, cassette, and digital formats. You can now get a taste of what’s to come with the release of the first advance single, available as a video clip and streaming on major platforms.

Phoenix Cryptobiosis, the band’s 8th studio album, marks their first release of original material in 12 years since Ritual Zombi. The album promises to be a step forward in AVULSED’s sound and style, maintaining their hallmark characteristics while presenting notable progress in all aspects. While some tracks were penned by former members, the majority of the material was written by the current lineup, adding a fresh dynamic to the band’s sound.

The album was recorded between September and October across multiple studios, mixed at Acórdica Studios by guitarist Alejandro Lobo, and mastered at MK2 Studio (Ivrea, Italy) by Davide Billia, known for his work with bands like Beheaded and Antropofagus. The stunning cover art, crafted by Ukrainian artist Daemorph Art, captures the album’s theme of resurgence.

According to Dave Rotten: “The title of the album, although it had already been half decided for many years with the word “Cryptobiosis”, has been somewhat prophetic, since cryptobiosis is a state that consists of the suspension of the metabolic processes, in which some living beings enter when environmental conditions become extreme. Avulsed has remained in a state of cryptobiosis for many years and it is now that the ideal conditions have been met for it to re-emerge, as a phoenix, of the beast unleashed in all its splendor, fury and power”.

Former HADES and current PATRIARCHS IN BLACK guitarist Dan Lorenzo will host Ultimate Sinner December 25th at 12 noon EST on Sirius/XM’s Ozzy’s Boneyard.
