DAEMONIA NYMPHE to Release “Witches’ Lullaby: Whispers from the North, South and East” on December 27th

While DAEMONIA NYMPHE work on their forthcoming album, they take a short break to present their experimental project “Witches’ Lullaby: Whispers from the North, South and East”.

This project follows the special EP released in 2021, in which they collaborated with vocal artists Hatis Noit (Japan), Priscilla Hernandez (Spain), Victoria Couper (UK/Portugal) and Rey Yusuf (UK/Turkey) to create a multi-collective soundscape based on the melody of the song of the same name, originally written for the soundtrack of the play Macbeth (in 2016 for the National Theatre of Northern Greece).

They finally complete the initial sound exploration in this second project, with German Joran Elane, Palestinian Enas-Al-Said, British India Blue, British/Portuguese Victoria Couper and British/Turkish Reyhan Yusuf presenting their new takes. Additional artists who lend their voices in the project are Evi Stergiou (of Daemonia Nymphe), Louisa John Krol (Australia) and Stevie Toddler (England). In this composition of improvisations and sound environments of different descents, each artist brings their own linguistic and cultural influences, but also their particular musical identity. A project that invites the listener on a journey of introspection and inner exploration.

This past summer, Italian melodic death-doom force Shores of Null performed a somber and poetic set at one of Europe’s largest metal festivals Hellfest Open Air (Temple Stage) in Clisson, France. They captured the full set and have partnered up with Thunderflix to showcase the performance in its entirety.

Today, they unveil their third clip from the festival for fans to watch for the track “Darkness Won’t Take Me” off their latest and fourth record “The Loss of Beauty” released on Spikerot Records during March 2023.

Vocalist Davide Straccione adds:

“This is the third and last excerpt made available on our YouTube Channel from one of the coolest experiences we had as a band so far. Hellfest was a blast, and we’re happy to relive those moments sharing them with our fans.”

Shores of Null‘s delivered a powerful performance at Hellfest in France this past summer as part of the band’s extensive touring in support of their new album “The Loss of Beauty”. This fourth album follows the acclaimed “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)”, unanimously considered by fans and critics as one of the doom-metal gems of recent years. Both albums were recorded between 2019 and early 2020, and although “The Loss of Beauty” was initially conceived as the band’s third album, ‘Beyond The Shores’ took its place as it better reflected the doom and gloom sentiment of the ‘annus horribilis’ 2020.

Across 11 tracks (plus two bonus tracks), Shores Of Null once again submerges listeners with tempestuous and turbulent riffs. The band continues to hone its sound and take its melancholic dark metal to new heights by mastering an assorted palette of genres with inbred poignancy. The lyrics celebrate beauty in imperfection and transience and are meant to be an invitation to seek beauty in little things, especially those unexpected and ephemeral.

Dark and heavy, tinged with feelings of despair, “The Loss Of Beauty” was released on March 24th, 2023, and recommended for fans of Swallow The Sun, Borknagar, and Paradise Lost.

HUMANKIND Present Music Video for Brand New Song ‘Fed Up’

Following their much-acclaimed 2022-debut album, An End, Once and for All, modern metalcore act HumanKind has surprised fans with a brand new song! While the band is currently gearing up for their sophomore studio album – to be produced, mixed and mastered once again by Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay, Sawdust Recordings) – a music video for the high-voltage, new banger “Fed Up” is now premiering below.

“Fed Up screams right in your face: “It’s enough!”. This song has been written from a deep state of not wanting to endure the same torture and helplessness again and again,“ the band comments, and adds: “It’s crucial to break the cycle at the exact point when we’ve decided to pursue new ways and write the next chapter to become the person we ought to be. Fed Up is the musical rethinking of HumanKind in the wake of partly shifting the focus to the more dangerous and wrathful aspects of having to deal with mental issues in our everyday lives.”

“Fed Up” is out now on all digital streaming providers at: https://humankind.rpm.link/fedup

Founded in 2022, HumanKind aims to express themselves through their music, reaching others to inspire them and give them the strength to overcome their own limits in unity with others. The five-piece, dressed in the style of modern metalcore, radiates a unique energy with many melodic influences and intense breakdowns, rooted in and shaped by the life experiences of its members.

HumanKind’s debut album, An End, Once and for All, addressed the challenging and deeply human theme of dealing with one’s own mental struggles and conditions. Offering listeners a silver lining on the horizon and to assure them that they are not alone, An End, Once and for All marked a gripping and emotional journey that conveys the message of unity, trust, and creativity. Combining honest passion with the universal language of music, the band aims to empower and encourage listeners to face their own demons. Each song and lyric are profound yet accessible, presented in an intense but also sensitive form.

Now, HumanKind are heavy at work on their second full-length album, set to be released in the hopefully not so distant future via their label ROAR, operating as a sub-label of Reigning Phoenix Music and giving the band new perspectives, greater opportunities, and broader reach for their bright future!

HumanKind is:
Samuel Scholz – Vocals
Maria Kimberly Huehn – Guitars
Pascal Loré – Guitars
Dominik Stotzem – Bass
Silas Schue – Drums

The Wave and the Particle, based in Fremont, CA, fuses post-industrial rock, symphonic metal, and progressive rock into a powerful, unique sound. In 2016, guitarist Chandra joined, adding intricate solos that enriched their sound, culminating in their debut album, “Event Horizon,” released in 2019.

Despite challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, the lineup solidified in 2021 with the addition of drummer Abhiram and bassist Alessandro. Over the next two years, they refined their sound and experimented with new song structures.

As 2023 approached, the band began work on their second album, “Electric Sheep,” inspired by cyberpunk themes that explore technologies, transhumanism, globalization, and digital identity. Committed to pushing musical boundaries, The Wave and the Particle crafts music that resonates on multiple levels.

Close Enemies, a powerhouse band featuring legendary musicians Tom Hamilton, multiple Grammy winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, and bassist of the biggest-selling American rock band of all time, Aerosmith, is joined by legendary drummer Tony Brock (The Babys and Rod Stewart), touring veterans Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow and Don Henley) and Trace Foster on guitar, and singer Chasen Hampton, who has been singing professionally since the age of 11, as a member and co-host of the famed 90s Mickey Mouse Club and pop group The Party, proudly announce their signing with TLG|ROCK for management and label services. The record will be distributed through Virgin Music Group. Unlike the name suggests, these five guys are close friends, each with an illustrious musical career.

The band will release their debut single “Sound Of A Train” on January 17th and will be playing shows in support (dates below).

Tom Hamilton (Bass): “We’re really excited to be working with TLG/Virgin on the release of the Close Enemies record! They’re genuinely as excited about putting it out as we are! Can’t wait to see what happens!”

Tony Brock (Drums): “TLG/Virgin are the perfect match for Close Enemies as we are both SUPERGROUPS! 👌 Can’t wait to see the results!!”

Trace Foster (Guitar): “After spending a year on the writing and recording of this record, we were not going to sign with just anyone to put it out. Once we spoke with Dennis Sanders and his team at TLG/Virgin, we knew we had an ally with the same vision.”

Chasen Hampton (Vocals): “Honored to join forces with history! TLG/Virgin/Universal Music Group are all proven visionaries and a perfect fit for this band of brothers. We are excited to get this music heard and be a part of this new family.”

Peter Stroud (Guitar): “We could not ask for a better partner with Denny and The Label Group. His experience across all fronts of the industry is a perfect fit for Close Enemies. And I always prefer flying Virgin! It’s an honor to be playing with these musical brothers and now working with the ultimate team.”

Denny Sanders, CEO of TLG|ROCK: “My good friend Andy Gallagher of the band Overhaul sent me the music. I absolutely loved it, then to find out who’s in the band, well that was just icing on the cake. We are all thrilled here at TLG to be working with Close Enemies.”
