Finnish hair-metalcore eccentrics One Morning Left are back with a bang with the release of their highly anticipated new album, Neon Inferno, out today via Arising Empire. The album is a high-octane blend of the band’s signature sound with fresh, electrifying elements, including a guest feature from Olli Herman of Reckless Love.

In celebration, One Morning Left have released a thrilling new music video for the single, ‘Tokyo Love’, adding to the excitement surrounding the album. The track, with its infectious energy and bold sound, perfectly showcases the band’s dynamic fusion of 80s influences and modern metalcore.

Founded in 2008 in Vaasa, Finland, One Morning Left are well known for their unique blend of electro, hardcore and metalcore influences, as well as their entertaining and energetic live shows where absolutely anything can happen.

One Morning Left‘s fourth album, Hyperactive, marked their first new material in five years and began a whole new chapter in their story. Drawing inspiration from retro electronic and video game music, as well as 80s hard rock, the band stayed true to their heavier roots while exploring fresh musical territories.

Now, the band are set to continue this evolution with their upcoming album, Neon Inferno. This new album promises to build on the foundation laid by Hyperactive, further blending their eclectic influences into a high-energy, genre-defying sound.

Changes have occurred not only in their musical style but also in their lineup. Returning from the cast of 2016’s Metalcore Superstars are frontman Mika Lahti, singer-guitarist Leevi Luoto, and drummer Niko Hyttinen. Additional firepower is provided by new members Tuukka Ojansivu on guitar and Miska Sipiläinen on bass guitar, along with the return of keyboard player Touko Keippilä from the band’s original Panda ❤ Penguin lineup.

With Neon Inferno, the band invite fans to join them on their quest to make the world a bit more epic.

The free-wheelin’ rock ‘n’ soul trio DeWolff have revealed the official video for new single “Natural Woman.” which is taken from their new studio album ‘Muscle Shoals’ – recorded at the legendary FAME Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, Alabama. The album will be released on 6 December via Mascot Records.

You can check out the official video for “Natural Woman,”  HERE.

The band will also be touring Sweden in December, playing the following shows:

13 December – Gothenburg, Valand
14 December – Uppsala, Katalin
15 December- Stockholm, Debaser

Set to the backdrop of a vintage animation video, the band talk through the swirling soulful new song, saying, “Natural Woman is another one of these songs that basically wrote itself: the big guitar riff, the verse and the chorus melodies came to us all at once, as if tapped from some kind of ancient rock ‘n roll well.  The lyrics are about natural beauty, not having to hide or change to be accepted. There’s satisfaction in imperfection; the plastic dream was a lie.”

The album was recorded at the world-famous FAME and the Muscle Shoals Sound Studios with the band embedding themselves in the home of Soul. The studios have seen the legendary likes of Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Etta James, Cher, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bob Dylan record between the two.

Track List

1. In Love
2. Natural Woman
3. Out On The Town
4. Let’s Stay Together
5. Ophelia
6. Truce
7. Hard to Make A Buck
8. Book of Life
9. Winner (When It Comes to Losing)
10. Fools & Horses
11. Snowbird
12. Ships in the Night
13. Cicada Serenade

They have already released the album’s opening track “In Love,” which was filmed at FAME. “It’s about if you’re with someone for a long time and you meet someone else, and they really turn your world upside down by challenging the promises you make to your partner when you have a long-term relationship. They’re all these things that you want to do. There’s a line that goes ‘tell me babe why can’t we meet, at the dark end of the street,’ which is a reference to Dark End of the Street, written by Muscle Shoals songwriter Dan Penn.”

In May 2024, they travelled to Muscle Shoals to record their 10th studio album between the two studios with Grammy Award-winning producer Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes). “You can really feel some kind of rock ‘n roll magic in the air there,” Pablo adds. “Right when we played our first notes there, I got goosebumps. This definitely was one of the best recording experiences we’ve ever had. Even the grand piano Leon Russell used was still there, just like the electric Wurlitzer piano that was used on “I Never Loved A Man” by Aretha Franklin!”

Over the past 18 months, the enchanting psychedelic soul ‘n’ rollers have preached their Electric Gospel on a cruise, in a castle, sold out countless headline tours across Europe and transformed festival crowds into their own disciples. They’ve toured with The Black Crowes and have previously played shows with Blues Pills, Deep Purple, TOTO, and count Seasick Steve as a fan.

Muscle Shoals, follows their previous #1 studio album Love Death & In Between (2023) and since then they have celebrated a Edison Award nomination (The Dutch Grammy’s), released Live & Outta Sight III, and also received the live music award, the ‘Gouden Notekraker.’ In June 2023, they produced the world’s fastest Studio-to-store record – 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 38 seconds for “Rosita Rápida”, beating the record previously held by Jack White.

Formed in the Netherlands’ Deep South of Geleen as teenagers, Pablo van de Poel (guitar/vocals) and Luka van de Poel (drums/vocals), alongside Robin Piso (Hammond/Wurlitzer), have carved out a place for themselves as carefree adventurers; prolific in the studio and well-worn road-rovers.

FLUSH Announce New Album “Noises” + Unveil First Single ‘Headspinner’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on October 26, 2024

Renowned Finnish rockers FLUSH are set to shake the music scene once again with the announcement of their much-anticipated second full-length album, “Noises,” slated for release on 29 November 2024. This promising album marks the band’s unwavering commitment to cultivating a vibrant community for those seeking solace in their resonating music amidst the chaos of the modern world.

Flush draws inspiration from an eclectic mix of legendary punk acts and profound thinkers such as Charles Bukowski, infusing their music with a captivating blend of punk, grunge, alternative rock, and metal. Their lyricism delves into the depths of human experience, delivering raw narratives that touch upon societal reflections and personal struggles. From tales of adversity encompassing domestic violence, loss, and existential turmoil to whimsical anecdotes about space satellites and days by the seaside, Flush’s sonic landscape is as diverse as life itself.

The band wanted ‘Noises’ to be a sanctuary for the misfits, a reflection of our reality, including the struggles and the moments of joy. Life isn’t monochrome, and neither are their songs.

The album was recorded in June 2024 with sound engineer Owe Inborr at Wolfthrone Studios. Flush has also collaborated closely with visual designer Pedro Bergamo for the band’s new visual appearance, music videos, and promotional photographs. AD Tuomo Heiti makes the album cover art. Wormholedeath Records (Italy) distributes the album globally, and Flush also works with PR agencies Ginger Vine Management & PR (Finland) and Rogue PR (UK).

“Noises” will see a global release through Wormholedeath Records, solidifying Flush’s reach across continents. The band has also engaged PR powerhouses Ginger Vine Management & PR and Rogue PR to amplify their message to a wider audience.

“Headspinner” is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms HERE

Leading the charge for the album release is the single “Headspinner,” a grungy punk track, filled with pop references, that suddenly goes into strange places. At its core, it’s a blues song about waking up one morning, but then nothing feels right, time isn’t working as it should, and questions arise about what matters. The song inspired director Pedro Bergamoto to create a music video where everything happens backward, and the video was recorded in one single shot only.

Flush Lineup:

Lasse Girs: Vocals, Guitars
Janne Kontiokorpi: Guitars, Backing Vocals
Eero Luukkonen: Bass
Börje Stén: Drums

The band released yesterday (October 25) a remixed version of their current Top 5 Billboard Mainstream Rock radio single, “ANGEL SONG” featuring Disturbed vocalist David Draiman by Justin “JD” deBlieck (Motionless In White, Sevendust, Bad Wolves). Stream “ANGEL SONG” feat. David Draiman (JD Remix) across all digital platforms HERE.

NOTHING MORE’s track listing includes popular singles such as their #1 Mainstream Rock track “This Is the Time (Ballast)”, “Mr. MTV” (which peaked at #12), “Here’s To The Heartache” (peaking at #4), and the emotionally charged #3 charting hit “Jenny”—which sparked a viral global initiative with the #IKnowJenny campaign via the popular social networking site Tumblr. The campaign saw the band partner with mental health organizations including To Write Love on Her Arms, Young Minds, and The Jed Foundation to dissolve the stigma around emotional health issues and share their stories. Its impactful music video (seen HERE) has received over 26 million views and it has garnered over 100 million streams globally.

NOTHING MORE came out on June 24, 2014 via prominent independent rock label Eleven Seven Music, now Better Noise Music.  It unleashed their soaring vocal melodies, meticulous atypical rhythmic structures, huge anthemic choruses, and lyrical content that embraced the art of storytelling. The album debuted at #33 on Billboard’s Top 200 charts while landing at #3 on US Hard Rock Albums, #8 on US Independent Albums, #11 on US Rock Albums, and #19 on US Digital Albums.  Cryptic Rock praised it as “a phenomenal offering with a unique sound that is nothing short of well-crafted and stunning…without a single disappointing track on the entire record, Nothing More has raised the bar for modern hard rock.”

The San Antonio, TX-formed band—Jonny Hawkins (vocals), Mark Vollelunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass), and Ben Anderson (drums)—have since become one of the genre’s most cherished acts achieving three Grammy nominations, three #1 radio singles (“Go to War,” “This Is The Time,” and “IF IT DOESN’T HURT”), and an RIAA Gold-certification for “Go To War.” Lauded as one of Kerrang!’s “22 Artists Shaping the Future of Rock,” NOTHING MORE have established a dedicated global fanbase with their immersive and non-stop energetic live performances having toured alongside rock heavyweights including Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, and Papa Roach, in addition to various sold-out headlining tours and worldwide festival appearances such as Aftershock, Louder Than Life, Welcome To Rockville, Inkcarceration, Hellfest, and Download Festival—just to name a few.

NOTHING MORE are currently on the final stretch of dates with rock legends Godsmack across the U.S. until October 26 and recently announced a Spring 2025 U.S. tour supporting multi-platinum selling rock act Disturbed. They will also appear as a headlining act for Shiprocked 2025 cruise and are currently running a donate-to-win contest via Fandiem to raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) for an exclusive trip to join the band on the cruise. Donate to win before December 11 HERE. Find tickets and see all upcoming tour dates at https://nothingmore.net.

ADAMANTRA Unleash New Album “Act III – Pareidolia of Depravity” – Themed as a Cross-Section of Human Evils Spanning Different Ages

The newborn “Act III – Pareidolia of Depravity” from ADAMANTRA picks up seamlessly from where its predecessor left off, both musically and thematically.

The album’s eight tracks tell dark tales of the evils that have surrounded us throughout various eras, offering listeners a journey open to interpretation and personal perspectives. The versatile compositions, paired with skillful instrumentation, form a treasure trove for fans of progressive and power metal.

The bass player Jukka Hoffrén reflects on the album’s creation and production process: “The making of this album took its time, and with its release, we finally bring one era to a close. I believe things unfold in their own time, and in this case, it took several years. But we’re extremely satisfied – this is, without a doubt, our best album so far!”

The album bears the signature sound of Adamantra, blending traditional elements with grandiose choral arrangements. However, it also introduces new elements, with a string quartet featured on three tracks. With two full-length albums and an EP already under their belt, Adamantra’s much-anticipated third album, “Act III – Pareidolia of Depravity”, has finally come to life.

EXODUS Drummer Tom Hunting: “I Loved Paul, I thought Di’Anno was a Punk Rock Singer that they molded into a Metal Singer”

Tom Hunting recently spoke to The Metal Voice about the bands upcoming North American tour, new Live album and his thoughts on the late former Iron Maiden singer Paul Di’Anno.

Tom Hunting told The Metal Voice, “Those first two albums (Iron Maiden Album) changed my drumming style and my life musically. We were playing that stuff in backyards when we were barely teenagers at keg parties. People thought Running Free was an Exodus original, sorry we didn’t write that one. Our friend bought that record just because of the picture. He brought it home and we burned it up it was just so good and so groundbreaking.

He continued. “I loved Paul Di’anno, I thought he was a punk rock singer that they molded into a metal singer. They just invented something (Iron Maiden) together with Clive Burr. He’s one of my biggest influences (Clive). Then they fired Paul and they fired Clive and I’m like what the hell? Not that I didn’t love Number of the Beast and all the music that came after that but you know it was a tough to swallow.”

American thrash metal legends and genre originators EXODUS are set to unleash their ferocious live show across North America next month with their “The Battle of ’24” tour! The tour marks the band’s first headlining run in many years and will feature support from thrash metallers Havok, metallic hardcore outfit Candy, and crossover thrashers Dead Heat. The tour kicks off on November 2 in Tampa, FL, and will thrash across North America, ultimately concluding on December 7 in Los Angeles, CA.
“The Battle of ’24” tour promises to be a must-see event for metal fans, showcasing EXODUS’ legendary status in the thrash metal scene alongside some of the genre’s most exciting current acts.
