DREAM THEATER Announce 16th Studio Album “Parasomnia” + Release New Single ‘Night Terror’

An album announcement that is fifteen years in the making, GRAMMY®-winning, progressive music titans DREAM THEATER return with their sixteenth studio album, PARASOMNIA. The album marks the first album featuring the iconic lineup of vocalist James LaBrie, guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, keyboardist Jordan Rudess and drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings. The news on this latest album comes on the heels of the recent announcement of the tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of the band. PARASOMNIA is scheduled for release on February 7, 2025.

The first single, NIGHT TERROR, is a musical thrill ride captured in the just shy of ten minutes listening experience. A music video for the song – directed by Mike Leonard – is now available.

An Evening with DREAM THEATER 40th Anniversary Tour 2024 – 2025 kicks off in London on Oct. 20th and will be the first tour since drummer Mike Portnoy’s return to the lineup joining vocalist James LaBrie, guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, and keyboardist Jordan Rudess.

SUIDAKRA Release First Taster ‘A Tainted Dominion’ from Upcoming Album

November 7th will see the release of “DarkanakraD”, the 15th studio album from German melodic/celtic death metal institution SUIDAKRA!

The album, which is dominated by a high proportion of original melodic death metal, was recorded and mixed by Arkadius at his own GHA Studio in Würzburg, while death metal legend Dan Swanö mastered the 11 songs. In any case, you can expect a good 50 minutes that sound as fresh and powerful as if the band had sprung from a fountain of youth.

With “A Tainted Dominion”, a first sample of the new masterpiece is now available as a lyric video on YouTube. “Darkanakrad” will be released as a CD in a jewel case, as a limited DigiPak (only from the band, MDD and selected mailorders) and as vinyl. Be prepared!

Genre bending, Alternative Outlaw, Southern Rock artist Cage Willis released “Wonderin’ Why” along with an official visualizer to all major platforms. In addition, the single will be available on TouchTunes and AMI jukeboxes across the country.

Cage shared, “’Wonderin’ Why’ is about losing the one you love due to your own flaws. It’s about not being able to own up to your problems and ‘Wonderin’ Why’ they ain’t ever comin’ back.”
