Nonpoint are back with their hard-hitting new single “Is It,” available everywhere May 8th on all major digital streaming platforms. Known for their relentless energy, uncompromising sound, and undeniable live presence, the band continues to push forward with new music that captures the raw intensity fans have come to expect.

“Is It” serves as the first release from Nonpoint’s upcoming full-length album The Last Word, arriving in late summer 2026. Both the band and 361 Degrees Records are positioning this track as the opening statement of a new era, setting the tone for the album’s themes and energy of the new record. Rather than following a traditional rollout, the song will debut on April 24, 2026, exclusively via the band’s official YouTube channel. The release will take the form of a hand-drawn, animated lyric video, offering a unique visual experience that complements the song’s message and listening experience while giving fans an early, immersive look into the creative world of The Last Word.

“In a world that sometimes wants to put a timestamp on creativity, The Last Word is our way of saying we’re just getting started. We’re pushing back against expectation and pushing forward into our own next chapter.”

Elias goes on to explain the concepts behind the song “Is It.”

“‘Is It’ is that internal conflict where you question getting too involved? Did I push too hard? Did I ask too much? It’s that feeling of wondering if doing what you thought was right actually meant hurting the people around you.”

Elias explains the bold concept behind his design imagery on the cover.

“This album cover tells a piece of our story. After years of making music, we feel more aligned than ever—musically, visually, and creatively. We’re writing some of the strongest material of our career, our live shows are as powerful as they’ve ever been, and the band feels focused and energized. The pencil on the cover represents what it’s like to be handed one last tool and expected to fit everything you have left to say into it. Not because the ideas are gone, but because longevity often comes with assumptions and limits. The Last Word isn’t about accepting an ending. It’s about challenging that narrative. If this is the pencil we’re being handed, we’re going to use it—and make sure the words written with it still matter.”

Full DSP and soft radio rollout of “Is It” will follow on May 8, 2026.

NONPOINT is currently on The Outta Control Tour, a high-energy U.S. run featuring special guests SOiL and Sumo Cyco. NONPOINT will be performing new material from their forthcoming album, giving fans an early taste of what’s next from the band while continuing to deliver the sound that has defined their career.

THE DEVIL WEARS NADA’s New Single ‘Elephant In The Room’ Out Now

Swedish melodic rock force THE DEVIL WEARS NADA have released their new single ‘Elephant In The Room, out now on Eonian Records. In conjunction with the single are details of their highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘In Lust We Thrust’, arriving on CD and limited-edition coloured vinyl via Eönian Records on Friday, July 3, 2026. Pre-orders will launch in late spring at www.eonianrecords.com.

Swedish rock band The Devil Wears Nada return with their new single “Elephant in the Room”, a bold and emotionally charged power ballad that blends 80s nostalgia with modern melodic rock production. Co-written by the band alongside Sampsa Astala – best known as a former member of Finnish rock giants Lordi and co-winner of the Eurovision Song Contest – the track marks a significant moment in the band’s creative journey. The collaboration brings together cinematic songwriting, strong melodic hooks, and a sense of grandeur inspired by the golden era of pop-rock.

Drawing inspiration from classic acts like Roxette, “Elephant in the Room” aims to capture the spirit of the 80s dancefloor while adding a contemporary edge.

“This is a song that makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight back to an 80s dancefloor,” says guitarist Henrik. “There’s something about the melody and atmosphere that just pulls you into that world.”
Ludvig adds: “We really wanted to create something that gives you that nostalgic rush – like a flashback to a time none of us actually lived through. We’re all 90s kids, but there’s something magical about that era that we wanted to bring back.”

The collaboration with Astala also highlights the band’s ambition and direction moving forward: “Working with Sampsa has been an incredible experience. Being able to write with someone who’s been part of Eurovision history and a band like Lordi is both inspiring and surreal. This track is just a taste of what’s to come.”

“Elephant in the Room” serves as the next glimpse into the band’s upcoming album ‘In Lust We Thrust‘, set for release on July 3rd – a record that promises bigger hooks, bigger emotions, and an even more expansive sound. With this release, The Devil Wears Nada continue to establish themselves as a rising force in melodic rock, blending nostalgia with a fresh and modern identity. — For fans of: Roxette, 80s pop-rock, melodic rock, cinematic power ballads.

Scandinavia has long been a breeding ground for world-class melodic rock and AOR, and from Falköping, Sweden, THE DEVIL WEARS NADA emerges as a formidable new torchbearer of that tradition. Rooted in the golden era of melodic hard rock, from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s, the band fuses nostalgic grandeur with a dramatic, contemporary edge. Drawing theatrical inspiration from icons such as Alice Cooper, Ghost, and Lordi, they seamlessly merge arena-ready Scandinavian melodies with horror aesthetics and vintage hard rock energy.

Their debut album, Postalgia, on Eönian Records, earned global acclaim for its signature blend of cinematic flair, soaring vocal lines, and hook-laden choruses. Initially released under the name ‘Adecence’ in an ultra-limited pressing of just 100 CDs, the album quickly became a coveted collector’s item. Reintroduced and remastered under THE DEVIL WEARS NADA, the album featured two new studio recordings, a high-octane cover of “1989” by fellow Swedish rockers Nestor, and expanded deluxe packaging; the release became one of Eönian Records’ best-selling titles.

With upcoming album ‘In Lust We Thrust’, THE DEVIL WEARS NADA hope to shatter expectations and raise their creative bar to towering new heights. Fans of Nestor, Da Vinci, 220 Volt, and FM will recognize the soaring hooks, polished harmonies, and arena-sized ambition that define classic Scandinavian melodic rock. Yet this is far more than a nostalgic revival, it’s a bold reawakening.

Brimming with explosive choruses, cinematic atmosphere, and razor-sharp modern production, ‘In Lust We Thrust’ plans to deliver a revitalized, high-impact vision of the genre, poised to captivate longtime ’80s hard rock and glam metal loyalists and ignite a new generation of melodic rock devotees alike.

Guitarist Henrik Westergren describes the band’s sound, “Take the raw pulse of the ’70s, ’80s hard rock and glam metal, and mix it with our fascination for the macabre and the dramatic, that’s where THE DEVIL WEARS NADA lives.”
“It’s Ludvig’s songwriting sensibility mixed with our collective love for the bizarre and dramatic,” Westergren adds. “It creates something that’s both familiar and unsettling; in the best way possible.“
He concludes: “If you’re reading this, thank you, for taking the time to listen, and hopefully for supporting this album built from blood, sweat, and countless hours of passion. Let’s keep the spirit of melodic rock alive and loud. THE DEVIL WEARS NADA is just getting started.”

Worldwide Vote Opens for AFRICA.ROCKS Soundcheck 2026

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: AFRICA.ROCKS Soundcheck. Leave a comment

AFRICA.ROCKS has opened the public vote for Soundcheck 2026, a rehearsal-based video competition that puts African bands in front of listeners far beyond their own local circles. For a lot of heavy music outside the usual industry centres, visibility is still half the battle. Soundcheck was built as a practical response to that. It gives bands across Africa a shared platform, asks for one original song performed live, and then puts that work in front of a worldwide audience through one official vote. Soundcheck came out of AFRICA.ROCKS’ daily work covering African rock and metal, and the need to give bands a practical platform of their own.

The first-round videos are now live, and public voting is open worldwide through the official AFRICA.ROCKS vote page only. Social media likes, shares, comments and reactions do not count as votes. The ten participating bands are Aliens in Oceans and Mysanthrium from South Africa, Cartagena from Tunisia, Chovu from Kenya, Dikamba from Angola, Grey and SLA.ID from Madagascar, Nakaka Vibration Band from Malawi, and Pagan Ulver and Tagrest from Morocco.

The public vote runs until 9 May 2026 at 23:59 GMT. The five bands with the highest valid vote totals will move on to the final round, where they will need to return with a second video featuring a different original song. From there, a five-person jury will choose the winner, who will receive a USD 250 cash prize.

SCRAPER from Marl within Germany’s Ruhr area has stood for an energetic blend of Progressive, Thrash, and Death Metal since 2016. The five-piece line-up — featuring vocals (C. David), guitars (T. Wimmer, S. Lück), bass (S. Royal), and drums (R. Schönberg) — combines technical precision with complex song structures and an intense, dark atmosphere.

Musically, SCRAPER moves between aggressive heaviness and conceptual depth. Their new album “Infinite Journey” is a science-fiction concept work that explores the boundaries between human, machine, and consciousness, creating a cohesive overall narrative both musically and thematically.

The two singles, “The Infinite Journey” and “Cold Resistance”, were released in advance, along with their accompanying videos.

In recent years, the band has shared the stage with renowned acts such as Disillusion, Exumer, Tankard, and Holy Moses — performances that have established SCRAPER as a serious force within the German Metal scene.
