“The Inquisition takes the listener into the middle of an emotionally painful scene. The storyteller has had to hide the truth at all costs, because its revelation could lead to disastrous consequences. However, the moment of reckoning inexorably approaches the narrator, who has resigned herself to her fate.
The Inquisition was the first song recorded for the upcoming Dead Among the Living album. In a way, it showcases many elements that are typical with this band’s music. There are historical references in the lyrics, and the mood of the song foreshadows very dark scenarios.” – The band’s vocalist Noora Virtanen says.

LAST TEMPTATION are ready to ignite the stage with their highly anticipated third album “Heart Starter”, out on November 22nd on Metalville Records.
After two successful albums acclaimed by fans and media alike, as well as appearances at such renowned festivals as Hellfest, the band founded by guitarist Peter Scheithauer (Killing Machine, Belladonna, Temple of Brutality) is ready to embark on the next phase of their musical career.
In 2019, LAST TEMPTATION released their self-titled debut album and in 2022, ‘Fuel For My Soul’ marked their final breakthrough. At the beginning of 2023, a line-up change marked an important turning point for the band. Years in the band With long-time “Annihilator” drummer Fabio Alessandrini, a real high-calibre performer joined the band. Franz OA Wise (Hellbats) took over on bass. Finally, Loup Malevil (Sabotage) adds his melodic, charismatic voice, which enriches the music with raw energy and infectious joy.
‘The variety of musical styles we now bring to the table is broader than ever before,’ explains Peter. ‘With Loup and Fabio on board, we’ve found a new dynamic that gives the songs a more sumptuous flavour and is reflected in the catchy lyrics.’
The new line-up had a successful debut as the support act for the “Hollywood Vampires” at the Zénith in Paris on 25 June 2023, where the audience was impressed by some of the new compositions and the quality of the reshaped band.
Peter Scheithauer reveals: ‘Our classic sound is still there, but with a touch more freshness. Imagine the current energy and dynamics merging with the power of American hard rock from the 70s and 80s… That’s the new LAST TEMPTATION formula.’
Now it’s official: LAST TEMPTATION is ready to take you back to the heat of California, to the roots of rock’n’roll.

“Without a Shadow” is the latest single from Rome doom metal collective DOOMRAISER. The track, and accompanying video, comes by way of the band’s stunning “Cold Grave Marble” full-length, set for release on October 2nd 2024 via Time To Kill Records.
DOOMRAISER commented: “In ‘Without a Shadow’, the Majesty of Death reminds us that Man is an incomplete being, set astray in front of it, just like the tiniest bit of dust set lost in the labyrinth of time. The song itself appears like a black monolith marching and erasing any light of hope left, where the guitar riffing and relentless drumming counteract crystal clear vocal melodies. It’s time to die”.
“Cold Grave Marble” will be presented in an exclusive pre-listening session at the In the Best Tradition Festival in Mosciano Sant’Angelo (Italy) on September 28th. After the session, it will be possible to purchase physical copies of the album at the Time To Kill Records stand. Facebook event.
Four years since the release of their critically acclaimed fifth album,“The Dark Side of Europa”, Italian doom metal forerunners DOOMRAISER return to the fray with their anthemic new album, “Cold Grave Marble” on 2nd October 2024 via Time To Kill Records.
The album was recorded and produced once again by Danilo Silvestri and the band, with artwork overseen by Fabio Listrani.
“Cold Grave Marble”, the sixth DOOMRAISER full doom length, is a frozen view in the darker side of life: Death, the Omega of our earthly dimension. The album is made up of raw riffing seasoned up in heavy, dark and gloomy dreaming atmospheres, and explores a plethora of styles with different sounds and solutions. The songwriting approach is rougher than before, experimental, suggestive, still preserving the classic DOOMRAISER characteristic sound.
The whole concept lies upon a personal portrayal of Death, the Infinite Void, the Great Absence, the greatest experience in matter of Chaos and disruption of reality. It’s a journey exploring the end of the biological cycle and man’s awareness of the ancient idea of “having to die”, an extreme but natural event belonging to the inevitability of time.
The album was recorded in Rome, Italy, by the skillful hands of Danilo Silvestri and mastered (just like the previous album “The Dark Side of Old Europa”) by Claudio Gruer. The record features important guests such as James Murphy (Death, Obituary, Testament), Flegias (Necrodeath), Mario Di Donato (The Black), Nequam (The Magik Way, ex Mortuary Drape) among others.
Tracklist:

Formed in 2004, DOOMRAISER have evolved into an instantly recognisable figurehead for those pushing doom metal into crushing new directions. Through the years the band have shared the stage with acts such as Electric Wizard, Reverend Bizarre, The Gates of Slumber and Orange Goblin and have released several records, experimenting and contaminating their music with raw heavy metal, psychedelia and other influences.
Once again, THE OLD DEAD TREEare springing back to life. The French band are back with more soul-stirring progressive metal on their first full album since 2007. Second Thoughts is an unflinching descent into love, loss and the burning desire to overcome the shadows that hunt us all.
On “Unpredictable”, The Old Dead Tree delves into the chaotic maelstrom of life’s twists and turns. Their first single in more than a decade still carries the band’s heavy signature of progressive metal and dark-but-anthemic rock. The riffs cut through the white noise of apathy while the lyrics bleed with raw emotion. “No one really knows what life will bring / it’s just unpredictable,” Manuel Munoz sings with urgency, as if standing on the brink.
Tracklist: 1. Unpredictable (3:33) [WATCH] 2. Don’t Waste Your Time (3:41) 3. The Lightest Straw (4:32) 4. Better Off Dead (1:54) 5. Without A Second Thought (3:39) 6. Luke (4:41) 7. Throughout the 2000s, THE OLD DEAD TREE made a name for themselves on the European metal scene, performing almost 200 concerts and releasing three albums, creating a unique universe combining extreme music and dark rock-pop, sublimated by Manuel Munoz’s exceptional and versatile vocals.
Just as the band had released their first EP, The Blossom, in 1999, drummer Frédéric Guillemot took his own life. The shock profoundly scarred the other three members of the band, and formed the basis of the concept for their debut album, The Nameless Disease.
Following its release in 2003 on the Season Of Mist label, the immediate success of this seminal album led the band to hit the road with PARADISE LOST, OPETH and KATATONIA, introducing their music to metalheads across Europe.
Two critically acclaimed albums followed, The Perpetual Motion (2005) and The Water Fields (2007), making THE OLD DEAD TREE a pillar of the French metal scene and a reference point for progressive metal in Europe.
By the end of 2008, just as work had begun on a fourth album, the wear and tear of the necessary personal investment proved too much for some of the band to bear. THE OLD DEAD TREE officially split up in 2009.
Over the following years, the musicians moved apart geographically and became involved in other musical projects (PENUMBRA, ARKAN, OMMATIDIA, LUX INCERTA…), but their indefectible friendship never wavered.
In 2013, THE OLD DEAD TREE briefly reunited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album The Nameless Disease with a mini European tour that included stops at HELLFEST and MOTOCULTOR.
In late December 2019, THE OLD DEAD TREE will announce the unexpected release of an EP of previously unreleased material, The End, featuring tracks begun in 2008. An extensive headlining tour and dates with LACUNA COIL are scheduled. Nevertheless, the pandemic thwarted these plans, and they were canceled one by one, with the exception of the band’s Paris date, which had sold out months in advance and was postponed until the end of 2022.
For a while, the members of THE OLD DEAD TREE were considering scrapping their return to the stage altogether, but finally settled on the last concert still to be announced, so as not to disillusion the hundreds of people who had already bought tickets. After months of waiting, and with the world in a state of questioning after the pandemic, the band finally decided to write a new song. In the spring of 2023, the popularity of the new single Terrified and the band’s high-profile appearance at HELLFEST paved the way for THE OLD DEAD TREE‘s long-lasting comeback.
On December 6th, 2024, the release of Second Thoughts, the band’s 4th album, opened a new chapter in the tormented history of one of France’s leading progressive metal bands.
