Symphonic metal outfit AEVUM has joined forces with OCTO CRURAto release their powerful new single, “Be a Lady”, now available on all platforms. This dynamic collaboration blends symphonic metal, djent, and industrial metal into a fierce anthem of empowerment. Featuring both clean and growl vocals from three powerful singers, “Be a Lady” challenges societal expectations and rejects conformity, delivering a bold message of self-determination and individuality.
The track is a rallying cry for every woman to embrace her identity and shape her own path, celebrating strength and defiance in the face of outdated standards. AEVUM and OCTO CRURA invite listeners to join them in rejecting the pressures to conform and to proudly embrace their own voices.

Nordic alternative folk group Kalandra are thrilled to announce the release of their newest album “A Frame Of Mind“, which is released today via By Norse Music and is available worldwide on all major streaming platforms.
Each song on the album reflects Kalandra’s unique fusion of atmospheric rock and dark pop. Standout tracks include previously released tracks The State of the World, Bardaginn and Are You Ready.
But that’s not all! As a celebration to the release of the album, their newest video for the song
“I Am”, will be released today!
Vocalist Katrine states: “I Am” serves as the opening chapter of Kalandra’s upcoming album, “A Frame of Mind”, setting the stage for the introspective journey that lies ahead. The lyrics delve into the act of self-reflection, acknowledging the person you’ve become and taking responsibility for your own evolution.
The music video is made by the multi talented filmmaker, puppet maker and stop motion artist Martyna Koleniec.
“We are so incredibly proud of how she’s managed to make our storytelling and vision come to life. We didn’t really have to follow up much as she simply “understood” the task perfectly, which makes us both teary eyed and ever grateful. We hope it resonates with you as much as it does for us.”
Puppets are made, and shot by Martyna Koleniec, a polish puppet maker, stop motion artist and filmmaker.

After releasing their successful 2020 debut album “The Line” and scoring a soundtrack for the game “Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands,” Norwegian alternative folk Kalandra are back with their second studio album effort, “A Frame of Mind”.
Steadily building momentum, Kalandra have toured with Leprous and A.A. Wlliams in 2022 and 2023, played at renowned festivals such as Hellfest and Midgardsblot. The new record showcases the band’s gained experiences and expansive songwriting. As a result, Kalandra is more versatile than ever, without losing touch of the immersive sound the quartet is known and loved for.
“The album can be described as an introspective journey about life’s experiences and how they shape the way we perceive the world. It explores what we put within the frame of our day-to-day lives, but also what is excluded. The band has combed through their memories and written about past traumas, cherished childhood memories, and a wariness about the future and the state of the world.
Widely regarded as a buried classic, NEKROMANTIX’s fourth album, Demons Are A Girl’s Best Friend, is ready to once again haunt the world with some of the best in punk-inspired horror mayhem!
Formed by former submarine radio operator Kim Nekroman in Copenhagen in 1989, the Danish-American Nekromantix needed just a handful of gigs to establish themselves at the forefront of the psychobilly movement – a status they retain today.
Both visually and musically, Nekromantix were, and remain, an astonishing experience. Who, after all, can forget the first time they saw Nekroman’s legendary coffinbass – an upright bass shaped like a casket? Or the first time they heard the band thundering out of the speakers?
Recorded with drummer Tim Kristensen and guitarist Søren Petersen, Demons Are A Girl’s Best Friend catapults both experiences back to the forefront of the mind, a thumping, driving invocation of all that is great about grisly ghouls and dancing with demons.
With all new artwork and digitally remastered audio, the vinyl pressing marks the album’s first ever release in that format in the USA. The CD bonus tracks, meanwhile, include the band’s mach one recasting of the Doors’ “Light My Fire,” a 1996 b-side that remains one of Nekromantix’s most treasured releases.
THE PLAGUE‘s latest pop rock ballad “Float Right On By” is a poignant track reflecting on the journey from selfishness and seeking approval to self-awareness and responsibility, available now from FiXT.
“Float Right On By” is a powerful anthem that captures the raw emotion and complexity of surviving a near-fatal drug overdose. It navigates the rocky terrain of regret, pride, and the arduous path to starting over, all while reflecting on deep-seated memories and the quest for redemption. “This is song is about realizing how selfish I had been when consumed with getting approval,” explains The Plague. “Although it’s an older song it’s still very relevant to me.”
The track’s lyrics reveal a deep struggle with chasing fame and seeking validation, leading to the realization of spreading negativity and feeling the weight of insincerity. There is a call for a mental reboot, liberation from the metaphorical assembly line, and personal growth. The song then shifts to acknowledge global suffering and the desire to make a positive impact, questioning if love can change the world and committing to using one’s voice for change. A vow is made to break free from superficial validation, confront harsh truths, and embrace healing. The duality within—prepared to fight for change while seeking strength to love—is powerfully conveyed.
“Float Right On By” is a heartfelt anthem of self-reflection, growth, and the resolve to make a meaningful difference, another example of The Plague’s ability to write emotive singles that will resonate with fans.
The Plague is the brainchild of producer/engineer David Adam Monroe, a pioneer of Future Punk. The Plague’s post-apocalyptic themes portray the struggles of being human, encouraging people to break free of the superficial and to know they are not alone.
David has been playing music from an early age, highly encouraged by his parents, he received an electric guitar at age ten and took off emulating his favorite bands at the time; Greenday, Smashing Pumpkins, and other 90’s rock bands. His career took off at age 16 when a promoter got his high school band on the Van’s Warped Tour.
As a producer/engineer, David has produced records with many artists including Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols and multi-platinum engineer Earl Cohen. As a musician, he has toured internationally–including 4 years on Van’s Warped Tour— and has played with bands such as Tony Levin, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year, NoFx, The Used, Yellow Card, Three Days Grace, and many more. ThePlague‘s debut album Hope For the F.U.T.U.R.E. was released independently in 2017.
In 2018 The Plague remixed Circle Of Dust’s “Embracing Entropy” (feat. Celldweller), through artist-owned record label FiXT. The Plague eventually signed to FiXT in 2022, and re-released the debut album with remastered tracks, new art as well as bonus tracks throughout the 2023, ahead of a new album slated for release in 2024.
“My goal with The Plague was to make futuristic Christian rock, when I was producing bands in Boston, my assistant showed me Celldweller and said, “This guy is dope and reminds me of you!” I chased Celldweller’s blend of synths and guitars, and that exploration process helped me discover my own sound. When I finished the record I emailed James (FiXT Manager) with the spirit of a little brother and said, “Hey James, look! I self-produced a futuristic rock record that I’m releasing on my label! “‘Shatter the Visage’ was written at a time of tested sanity“, Vocalist Brandon Howe reveals. “I was frozen, I guess you could say, in a purgatory between holding onto my hopes or letting go, and every road seemed to lead me to a further descent.
