DAMMNATORUM Release Video ‘Per Mortem Vado’ from Debut Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 13, 2024
Posted in: News. Tagged: DAMMNATORUM. Leave a comment

DAMMNATORUM was founded in 2018 by Max (bass) and Mef (drums). Band decided that the Latin language best expresses the lyrics of their songs. Material for debut album was recorded in 2022:

  • drums at Invent Sound Studio by Szymon Grodzki
  • guitar & vocals at Over The Under Studio by Karol Korniluk

All was mixed and mastered by Szymon Grodzki at Invent Sound Studio (Banisher, Pandrador, Unborn Suffer)

Album “In Umbra Mortis” was released June 1, 2023 digitally on the most popular streaming platforms (here) and on CD independently by the Band. Cover artwork and booklet layout by Daniel Rusiłowicz who works with Polish band HATE.

For promotion purpose there was published music video to the songs “Egzitium” and month ago clip to the single “Per Mortem Vado“.

Band comments their album: “On the album, you can notice our return to instrumental and arrangement proficiency. The lyrics of the songs talk about the dark side of human personality or state of mind. They do not reference religion or mythical creatures. They describe people, states of mind, or places. An example is ‘Aokigahara’ – the suicide forest, or ‘Necrophagus’ – about a murderer who seemed to be an ordinary person.“

2. Per Mortem Vado
3. Exitium
4. Furor Priscus

Today, September 13th, Italian progressive post-rockers STRANIA have unleashed their new single ‘Metempsychosis’, featuring Mattia Braghero as guest vocalist. The single is taken from the band’s upcoming debut album “Acceptance”, out later this Fall via Diotima Records.

The band shared:
“Metempsychosis is a song that tells the story of an old man who ventures into the woods to reunite with Mother Nature in his final moments, allowing her to take care of his body and soul. As he walks deeper into the forest, he feels observed by the surrounding trees, which are the reincarnations of those who, like him, sought final peace in that place.”

Buy and stream the single via your favorite streaming platforms: https://bfan.link/metempsychosis-1

METEMPSYCHOSIS – lyrics:

I am too old
To wake once more
My life was long
I’ve come to rest
In your green chest
Mighty forest
Open your arms
Show me the path
To reach your heart
Those who died
In this place
Found a new home
For their soul
My spirit
Is a seed
From the ground
Trees will grow
They breath they breath
Like human beings
Their bark’s moving
They see they see
They’re watching me
Walking dying
It lives they live
This place the trees
Surrounding me
In this magic place
Now i see her face
She is everywhere
Mother please take care
Of my worn out body
Of my broken bones
You’ll turn them into new
Trees, life must go on

Currently, the production of the first album, “Acceptance” has been completed, independently produced at Giacomo Salani’s “La Fucina” recording studio in Empoli (FI). The album consists of five songs, composed between 2021 and 2023, recorded in collaboration with four different singers external to the project.

Further news on STRANIA’s activities will be revealed in the coming weeks!

More information:

STRANIA is an Italian progressive post-rock band, formed in the province of Florence by Andrea Borgioli, Mattia Nicolini and Giacomo Bracci in the summer of 2019. The band reached its current four-piece lineup in late summer 2022.

The members of the band have a very heterogeneous musical culture, but the meeting point between them is highlighted in the post-rock genre, which leaves a lot of expressive and compositional freedom to the group. In fact, all the songs are composed in a collective creative process in the rehearsal room, which can sometimes even last whole day sessions, taking care of the smallest detail.

Current lineup:

  • Andrea Borgioli, guitar;
  • Mattia Nicolini, guitar;
  • Giacomo Bracci, drums;
  • Jacopo D’Arpino, bass.

AS I LAY DYING Announce New Album “Through Storms Ahead” + Drop New Single ‘We Are The Dead’ Feat. Alex Terrible + Tom Barber

With 25 years of reign and seven acclaimed albums under their belts, Grammy-nominated metalcore pioneers AS I LAY DYING are back with an unmissable new album that will define their legacy for years to come. Poised to be one of the most highly-anticipated metal comebacks in years, the band’s eighth full-length studio album, Through Storms Ahead, will drop on November 15, 2024 via Napalm Records. The album is available for pre-order now.

Featuring explosive new tracks “Burden” and “The Cave We Fear To Enter” – which arrived earlier this summer as the band’s first new musical offerings in five years – Through Storms Ahead is an evolution of newly explored elements that further bolster the proven line-up of vocalist Tim Lambesis and guitarist Phil Sgrosso alongside recent newcomers Ryan Neff (bass, clean vocals), Nick Pierce (drums) and Ken Susi (guitar).

In celebration, AS I LAY DYING just dropped the eviscerating new metalcore anthem of the year, “We Are The Dead”. Featuring the gut-punching vocal talents of famed guest vocalists Alex Terrible (Slaughter to Prevail) and Tom Barber (Chelsea Grin, Darko), the latest album single arrives with an equally gripping new music video – proving equal parts mesmerizing, eerie and brutal. The video features appearances from both special guest vocalists.

Guitarist Phil Sgrosso offers about the track and video:
“‘We Are The Dead’ represents the more brutal territory from our new album, spotlighting our thrashier tendencies that we still enjoy mixing in amongst our more melodic sound. I think this is the meanest we’ve ever gone in terms of aggression, and who better to join us than two of deathcore’s finest, Alex Terrible of Slaughter to Prevail and Tom Barber from Chelsea Grin. Shout out to our third-time video collaborator Tom Flynn for jumping in with us and pulling off another visually creative undertaking for the track.”

Featuring immense, stunning production by guitarist Phil Sgrosso and Hiram Hernandez, mixing by Aaron Chaparian, mastering by Ted Jensen and album art once again created by Corey Meyers, Through Storms Ahead proves that good things come to those who wait. The album features crystal clear, punishingly precise technicality and quality – proving keen attention to detail and thoughtful exploration throughout Through Storms Ahead.

A melancholic guitar-driven introduction track blasts into a deft explosion on first song “A Broken Reflection”, showcasing the masterful melding of skills that the new incarnation of AS I LAY DYING brings to the table. The clean vocals of bassist Ryan Neff absolutely soar throughout, fortifying the high-end of the track’s multi-layered attack of searing, heart-wrenching guitar harmonics, driving bass, pummeling drums and the furious low-end gutturals of iconic frontman Tim Lambesis. Streamed over a million times within days of its initial release, first single “Burden” annihilates with instantly gripping energy, charging in with an intensely catchy chorus, multiple breakdowns and ingenious guitar soloing from Phil Sgrosso. “Whitewashed Tomb” bleeds in with a cinematic underscore before its potent vocal lines, hair-raising, rhythmic guitar leads and ominous, reverberating electronic atmosphere takes over. Melodic “The Void Within” and “Taken From Nothing” evoke classic AS I LAY DYING style blended with modernized metalcore passages, while tracks such as “Strength to Survive” and “Gears That Never Stop” showcase the vital songwriting prowess of the band in 2024. Blending metallic battery with dominant accessibility, the tracks further attest that Through Storms Ahead won’t pause for a single moment of mediocrity. Title track “Through Storms Ahead” bludgeons with intense drums and an earworm chorus, while acclaimed second single “The Cave We Fear To Enter” begins pensively before charging into an emotive melodic metalcore opus.

Tim Lambesis, Phil Sgrosso & Co. have created a metalcore masterpiece for the modern scene, solidifying that AS I LAY DYING are continuing to evolve and expand their trademark sound in a new era.

Exclusive Premiere for Finland: TOXAEMIA “Blood Red” Official Video

After announcing their new album for a November 15th release, Swedish death metallers TOXAEMIA are gearing up the engines for the first song to be advanced from the record: “Blood Red”. And it will be released as a digital single and official video.

““With ‘Blood Red’ we wanted to explore the mind of a serial killer, and that primal raw power”, explains Toxaemia’s founding member and bassist Pontus Cervin. “We wanted a real go at the mix of heaviness and speed only death metal can give. At the same time, we wanted to expand what Toxaemia is and what we can become, while still maintaining our roots”, he offers.

Enjoy the premiering here:

Four years and countless gigs later, we are proud to present the successor to 2020’s much-lauded “Where Paths Divide”, by Swedish legendary old-school death metal act TOXAEMIA. And to say “Rejected Souls of Kerberus” is their second and most accomplished studio album to date is a huge understatement.

The five-piece worked with Dan Swanö once again for the mixing and mastering of the album as both the band and the fans were extremely satisfied with the work he did on Toxaemia’s last record. Also, this time around, like last time, the Swedes have drawn two songs from the archives of their old demos: ”Beyond the Realm” and ”Tragedies Through Centuries”. Also, a cover song is present for the first time on a Toxaemia album: Dismember and their ”I Saw Them Die”.

The result: a pure Swedish death metal bastard. No pun intended.

Despite Toxaemia having chosen more of a modern sound than the last album, the choice made it an overall heavier sounding record. The band also wanted to make sure that they incorporated a lot of variation to give the record the extra edge it needed to top “Where Paths Divide”. In addition to that, friend and founding member Emil Norrman was brought back to the drumkit to add his own unique and very core Toxaemia sound into the mix giving “Rejected Souls Of Kerberus” an end result that every fan of death metal will revel into.

“Rejected Souls Of Kerberus” will be released on CD, LP (black and transparent red vinyl versions available, each limited to 200 copies) and digital on November 15th, 2024 via Emanzipation Productions.

Lineup:
Pontus Cervin – bass
Emil Norrman – drums
Stevo Bolgakov – guitars, vocals
Dennis Johansson – vocals
Anton Petrovic – guitars

Exclusive Premiere for Finland: STEEL INFERNO ‘The Blitz’ Official Video

Posted by tarjavirmakari on September 13, 2024
Posted in: News. Tagged: STEEL INFERNO. Leave a comment

Today, From The Vaults announce the first single and official video, “The Blitz,” from the upcoming STEEL INFERNO album, “Rush Of Power”. A speed metal bombardment that recounts a time when armies marched through the night to strike fear and deal death to anyone who stood in their way. CHAOS REIGNS, THERE IS NOWHERE TO HIDE!

Join the premiering here:

Steel Inferno was formed in 2012 and has since its formation released three full-length albums: “Aesthetics of Decay” in 2016, “…And the Earth Stood Still” in 2020 and “Evil Reign” In 2022.

The latter took the band in a slightly different direction. If the Steel Inferno’s early material was akin to European metal like early Accept and Judas Priest, the newer material is closer to some of the earliest US power metal bands such as Helstar and Jag Panzer – all mixed with a fundamental inspiration from early thrash and speed metal.

With this new-found approach, que band toured like crazy to support “Evil Reign”, until the time came to record new songs again. Angioni Studios were booked, speed riffs, solos were recorded, thunderous rhythms were taped and raging vocal takes were taped. The result will be released later this year, in the format of Steel Inferno’s new album, titled “Rush Of Power”. “The Blitz” is the first digital single to be known from the album and, if it serves as an appetizer, the new record will be killer.

Lineup:
Thierry Zubritovsky – bass
Krzysztof Baran – drums
Lars Lyndorff Krelskov – guitars
Jens Andersen – guitars
Chris Rostoff – vocals
