One of the most distinctive and promising names in the Finnish metal scene, Rioghan, continues unveiling the story of their upcoming ‘Frozen EP’ with the release of the new single “Chapter IV: 520”, accompanied by a stunning music video.

Blending modern metal, dark pop vibes, and progressive hooks, ‘Frozen EP’ is conceived as one continuous composition. The EP’s journey originates from the band’s striking Madonna reinterpretation, but it extends far deeper — both musically and narratively. The story of the EP, inspired by poetry written by vocalist Rioghan Darcy, forms a cohesive emotional arc.

“The EP is about very brief but meaningful moments,” Darcy explains. “At first, a frozen heart reaches a point where it dares to open up and slowly begins to warm. The ice starts to melt, and after shedding its first tears, the heart cautiously opens the door and invites love back in. The sky opens with the break of light, and unfurled wings catch the wind. Ultimately, it represents letting go of the themes explored on the ‘Kept’ album. It marks the end of one era and the beginning of another.”

Numbers 520 in the title originates from internet slang, meaning “I love you”. Within the EP’s storyline, the track plays a pivotal role, while musically it stands as one of the record’s most infectious highlights.

As the only physical format, Rioghan will release an extremely limited vinyl edition of just 25 copies. The blue & white marble vinyl is divided into five separate five-copy editions, each featuring different cover artwork. The exclusive package also includes a necklace, signed poster and a hand-written sheet of lyrics. Pre-order your copy here.

The Frozen EP will be released on April 10. Recorded and mixed by guitarist Teemu Liekkala, the EP was mastered by Grammy-nominated and award-winning engineer Robin Schmidt.

Frozen EP tracklist:

  1. Frozen
  2. Moment
  3. Teardrop
  4. 520
  5. Sky

Spring 2026 is shaping up to be remarkable season for the band. On March 9, Rioghan will perform at the legendary Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki alongside globally acclaimed alternative act grandson. The band will also tour Finland with I Am Your God and appear at the first edition of Ankea Festival sharing the stage with acts such as Katatonia, Leprous, Textures and Green Carnation.

Rioghan will celebrate the EP release on April 10 at Bar Kotelo in Tampere, joined by Time Primer and Joviac for a night dedicated to progressive music.

“We have a really exciting spring ahead of us. We’re hitting the road with brand-new songs, and along the way we’ll be sharing stages with some truly amazing artists! Supporting grandson takes us at the legendary Kulttuuritalo for the first time, and in June we’ll be playing at the very first edition of Ankea Festival, which our whole crew is really looking forward to. We’d probably be there together even if we weren’t performing!”, Teemu Liekkala comments.

SONS OF ETERNITY Release New Single & Official Video ‘When Fantasy Dies’

German heavy metal band SONS OF ETERNITY present their new single and official video “When Fantasy Dies”, taken from the upcoming studio album “Human Beast”, set for release on March 27th, 2026 via Massacre Records.

Following the high-energy anthem “Forever”, the band now reveal a different side of their musical identity. “When Fantasy Dies” is a slow but driving power ballad that showcases the emotional depth and dynamic range of SONS OF ETERNITY, blending melodic intensity with atmospheric weight and classic heavy metal grandeur.

Lyrically, the song addresses a highly contemporary and thought-provoking theme: the increasing dominance of artificial intelligence and the gradual erosion of human creativity and imagination. In an era where a few typed lines can generate entire songs, images or stories, “When Fantasy Dies” stands as a musical warning – a reminder that technological progress, when taken too far, risks silencing the very essence of human expression.

Musically, the track unfolds with restrained verses that build tension toward a powerful and memorable chorus, supported by expressive guitar work and a carefully crafted dynamic progression. The balance between vulnerability and strength makes “When Fantasy Dies” one of the emotional cornerstones of “Human Beast”.

“Human Beast” was produced by Jonas Roßner and SONS OF ETERNITY at JRSound Studio, mixed by Jonas Roßner and mastered by Christoph Beyerlein at Separate Sound Studio. Across nine tracks, the album delivers a sharper, heavier and more refined evolution of the band’s sound – rooted in classic heavy metal traditions while embracing modern dynamics and atmospheric depth.

Track listing:

  1. Sons Of Eternity
  2. Forever
  3. Resistance
  4. When Fantasy Dies
  5. Human Beast
  6. The Line
  7. Fight
  8. Tearing Down The Walls
  9. Abyss Of Life

Mosfite, who craft melodic metal with a progressive twist in Kuopio, Finland, releases a five-song EP Homini Lupus Est in March. As a preview, the first song off the EP, Enemy is now out.

The song contains catchy riffage and rhyming while the lyrics talk about the difficulty of negotiation when facing an attack – how to stand firm when retreat and surrender are out of the question.

– My lyrics typically deal with weltschmerz, juxtapositions and problems. Science fiction, war and the consequences of it, generally the endless stupidity of the humankind is often under the microscope in one way or the other. Joyful themes are far and apart in them, as I gather inspiration mainly from dystopic movies and books, the singer-guitarist Antti ”DeeAa” Heikkinen explains.

EDEN DENIED Released Debut Album “Afternoon for a Soul”

Eden Denied is a project founded by Olaf Viktor Gawdzik in 2022, originally under the name Eden Red before being renamed. The project was born out of a spiritual need to find meaning and a desire to serve as a vehicle for expressing a love of creativity, music, and its ability to change how humans feel and think.

Listening to a wide range of music – from jazz and electronica to classical, contemporary, and avant-garde – but always firmly rooted in rock and metal, Olaf‘s vision was already forming in his teenage years. With a particular and picky idea of what he was looking for, Olaf spent many years searching for musicians willing to participate in the project, but ultimately had to settle with the reality of learning to sing and play or arrange every instrument in the band except his first love, the guitar.

“Afternoon for a Soul” is an album that closes a very particular chapter in life – making peace with the past as someone burdened with immense generational trauma. By tapping into the universal human archetypes, it is a journey through what it means to grapple with problems that touch every human being to some degree. Yet finding catharsis remains a deeply individual thing, and to impose a single definitive meaning would itself be meaningless. This record is meant to be felt on a personal level.

In keeping with Olaf‘s DIY approach, the record is entirely self-produced, both sonically and visually.

TRACKLIST:

01. Hibernatus
02. Hungry Ghosts
03. Rips
04. Normal
05. Cheap Love
06. Ode to Moths
07. Passive Reasons

Groove Rock Force REDIKIN Welcome New Singer Myrthe van Beest

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 26, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: REDIKIN. Leave a comment

REDIKIN, the Netherlands’ most relentless groove rock force, is proud to announce that Myrthe van Beest has joined as their new lead vocalist, stepping into the mic stand just as the band’s momentum reaches a fever pitch.

Van Beest is no newcomer to the stage. A seasoned performer with a track record spanning multiple projects — including Scenario II and Magion — she brings with her the kind of hard-won stage presence and vocal fire that REDIKIN’s music demands. Her addition to the lineup isn’t just a change; it’s an upgrade.

“We’re absolutely thrilled that Myrthe is taking on this challenge with us. She’s an experienced singer who has played on numerous stages, and we can’t wait to hit the stage with her.” — REDIKIN

REDIKIN have been building their reputation as one of the Netherlands’ most electrifying live acts, known for their high-energy performances, gritty attitude, and a groove-driven sound that gets under your skin and refuses to let go. Their debut EP and album, The Crux, cemented their position on the rock map with anthemic tracks like “You”,  songs that hit hard and stick.

In 2025, the band signed with international label Wormholedeath Records, releasing The Crux worldwide, including a special Japanese edition through Disk Union. Now, with Myrthe van Beest at the front of the stage, REDIKIN are locked, loaded, and ready to make even more noise.

Upcoming show dates will be announced across REDIKIN’s social media channels. Stay tuned,  this is only the beginning.
