NEVER OBEY AGAIN have released a video for “Never Feel, Never Fear”, first single taken from the new album “Trust” to be released on October 18th by Scarlet Records.
“Never Feel, Never Fear” is a high energy modern metal track with strong and aggressive female vocals; a song about duties, tasks, deadlines, social pressure, relationships, money and expectations. Numbness and disengagement from emotions are the only keys to survive the overwhelming pressure and lack of humanity of nowadays society.

Never Obey Again is a female fronted alternative unit that blends heavy sounds and modern electronic elements to create captivating, emotional sound scenarios. They did it effortlessly on the 2023 debut album “The End Of An Era”; they did it better and with an even stronger personal touch on their brand new record, where extraordinary singer Carol shines throughout the entire work.
On one hand, “Trust” has been conceived as ‘music for everyone’ regardless of gender or age as its lyrics and vocals could resonate with anyone; words and melodies that allow the listener to feel like home, protected and safe in sharing feelings.
On the other hand, it represents the band’s decision to go heavier and dress those lyrics with their own sound avoiding any compromise; it sounds deeper, rough and straight to the point. It sounds like Never Obey Again and nothing else.

American death metal icons NILE will finally drop their highly-anticipated 10th album, The Underworld Awaits Us All, this Friday, August 23 via Napalm Records! In celebration of this week’s album release, the band has unleashed their third single – pinnacle burner “Under the Curse of the One God”. Accompanied by a hypnotic lyric video, the track combines sinister atmospherics with breakneck pacing and vicious riff acrobatics, soaring as a technical tour-de-force with career-defining drumming from George Kollias.
NILE’s Karl Sanders comments on the new track and lyric video: “We are really happy that fans will finally have a chance to hear ‘Under the Curse of the One God’. It’s a ferocious and brutal NILE track, and steeped in Ancient Curses. Many thanks to Ingo Sporl for once again wielding his uniquely creative visual artistry to help bring our music to blasphemous life.”
Boasting airtight technicality and unrelenting brutality, the new album pushes each member of NILE – founding mastermind guitarist/vocalist Karl Sanders, longtime iconic drum master George Kollias, vocalist/guitarist Brian Kingsland, along with bassist Dan Vadim Von and guitarist Zach Jeter – to their furthest extremes both in artistry and performance.” Once again produced and recorded at Sanders’ own Serpent Headed Studios in Greenville, South Carolina, the band returned to Vile Nilotic Rites engineer Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Whitechapel) for mixing and mastering.
Facing the planet’s inevitable end with their diehard fans at their side, NILE waste absolutely no time with histrionics on The Underworld Awaits Us All, distilling their trademark Egyptology driven tempest down to its most streamlined essence. Charging into battle as its namesake depicts, “Stelae of Vultures” makes an immediate impact with dissonant guitar chords and supernatural drumming, teasing the auditory evisceration to come. Topped by impressive screams and gutturals, the track leads into “Chapter for Not Being Hung Upside Down on a Stake in the Underworld and Made to Eat Feces by the Four Apes”, citing the Egyptian Book of the Dead’s 181st chapter. The album’s most succinct track, “To Strike with Secret Fang”, blends low-end punishment with blackened death metal inspiration, before album standouts such as “Naqada II Enter the Golden Age” and “Overlords of the Black Earth” breathe new life with thrash and fusion experimentation, as well as real human choirs – adding a raw element to the NILE fold. Each track soars as a technical tour-de-force – featuring career-defining extreme drumming from Kollias, as well as razor-sharp soloing from all three active guitarists and palpable bass exploration. A perfect example of this equation is pinnacle burner “Under the Curse of the One God”, combining sinister atmospherics with breakneck pacing and whirlwind, vicious riff acrobatics.
Throughout the remainder of its 11 pummeling tracks and intricate interludes, NILE masters full-tilt speed and ferocious musicality. 30 years into their heavy reign, The Underworld Awaits Us All proves that NILE is marching onward and undoubtedly upward, bleeding metal for their fandom for as long as the sands of time will allow.
The Underworld Awaits Us All’s mind-bending art was once again envisioned and created by Michał ‘Xaay’ Loranc, with reference to the cycle of life and judgment at its end.
The Underworld Awaits Us All track listing: 1. Stelae of Vultures 2. Chapter for Not Being Hung Upside Down on a Stake in the Underworld and Made to Eat Feces by the Four Apes 3. To Strike with Secret Fang 4. Naqada II Enter the Golden Age 5. The Pentagrammathion of Nephren-Ka 6. Overlords of the Black Earth 7. Under the Curse of the One God 9. Doctrine of Last Things 10. True Gods of the Desert 11. The Underworld Awaits us All 12. Lament for the Destruction of Time

Long time friend Tommy Vext (formerly of Bad Wolves) will be filling in on lead vocals for Ill Niño‘s upcoming European Tour. Marcos Leal will not be performing on the upcoming European Tour.
Ill Niño and Vext got their start on the East Coast, in the early days of the NY/NJ hardcore scene, and Vext opened for Ill Niño when he was just a teenager. This multi-cultural urban landscape helped cultivate the band’s sound. Ill Niño‘s Revolution and Confession–era songs are no stranger to Vext, as they share a 25-year brotherhood.
Tommy Vext has had great international success with the multi-platinum cover of “Zombie.” Dave Chavarri says “We are excited to have Tommy perform with Ill Niño across all these European stages.”
About ILL NIÑO:
Hailing from the vibrant East Coast music scenes of NJ and NY, Ill Niño has solidified their position as a formidable force in the world of Latin metal. Their groundbreaking album Revolution Revolucion moving close to half-million copies, marked the beginning of a legacy that continues to thrive 25 years later.
Fuelled by an unwavering passion for their craft and an undying loyalty from their fans, Ill Niño stands strong as they embark on a global tour in support of their new release, IllMortals. Don’t miss your chance to witness this legendary band live in action. Join us on this epic journey as Ill Niño showcases why they are still dominating the metal scene after decades.
“Turn The Tide“ is the new single from long-running heavy metal titans, SATAN. The track comes by way of the band’s forthcoming new full-length, Songs In Crimson, set for release on September 13th via Metal Blade Records.
SATAN‘s history is storied, their albums and incendiary live shows, iconic. The Newcastle, England-bred lineup may quip that their career has been “forty-four years of prolonged mayhem with a twenty-year lunch break“ – forming in 1980, eventually pausing before reuniting in 2011 – but circa 2024 finds the band thriving, writing, recording, and touring at the top of their game.
Proof positive is their seventh studio album, and third for Metal Blade, Songs In Crimson. If 2022’s Earth Infernal album was brutal, up-tempo and with loud guitars, guitarist Russ Tippins calls Songs In Crimson “concise. It’s more to-the-point and gets there quicker. One of the reasons behind the album title is that this record is very ‘song’ focused. There’s more punch this time around. Each chorus speaks for itself.” With influences from King Crimson to Mercyful Fate, SATAN‘s own stylings remain unique, the band’s NWOBHM origins a springboard for musical and lyrical creativity, commentary, and nonconformity.
While Songs In Crimson features lyrics including “a once-great nation is going down“ and “this is the end of an era,“ SATAN offers no quick fix. “There is always hope; solutions are not for us musicians to proclaim,” Tippins believes. “Each song has its own different theme. While there is no title track as such, the song ‘Deadly Crimson,’ which is an anti-capitalism narrative, is as close as it gets to that. As a concept, making money from money is fatally flawed in that it depends on constant growth,” Tippins says. “But constant growth is obviously impossible; a conveyor belt of sacrificial lambs.”
Tippins continues, “‘Turn The Tide’ is the classic ‘King Canute’ scenario — the deluded head of state who believes himself to be divine and sets out to prove it by standing in front of the sea and ordering the waves to retreat. They don’t of course. We are kind of using that as an allegory to illustrate the ridiculous standpoint of certain Jingoistic Brits who believe that foreigners have no place in our country. It’s the shortest song on the album. And also the fastest!“
Songs in Crimson was produced by the band and Dave Curle of First Avenue Studios who also engineered, mixed, and mastered the record.
Songs In Crimson Track Listing: 01. Frantic Zero 02. Era (The Day Will Come) 03. Whore of Babylon 04. Sacramental Rites 05. Martyrdom 06. Turn the Tide 07. Captives 08. Curse in Disguise 09. Truth Bullet 10. Deadly Crimson
