August 23, 2024 sees delving, the instrumental psych-kraut-prog-rock project headed by Nicholas DiSalvo (best known as frontman of Elder), release its forthcoming, hotly-anticipated studio album “All Paths Diverge”. delving‘s sophomore full-length offering will be coming as two Vinyl editions via Stickman Records (EU) and Blues Funeral Recordings (US); find EU pre-orders HERE, and US pre-orders HERE!

Following the previously-released, first album appetizer “Zodiak”, today, delving is presenting a new track taken from “All Paths Diverge”! About “Omnipresence”, DiSalvo reveals:

“Omnipresence is a song I worked on sporadically over a few years, as opposed to others on the album which took shape spontaneously. It encapsulates as with any good delving track a myriad of seemingly incompatible elements and tries to meld them together: dreamy Mellotron sounds, driving synths, fuzz guitars, dubbed-out drums, a harpsichord? – elements that only over time can be subtly fused together to make a cohesive and coherent rock track. It’s a hazy and peaceful song to bliss out to and forget the world around you.”

delving‘s much-acclaimed debut album “Hirschbrunnen” (released in 2021 via Stickman Records), was recorded in the pandemic years where touring was brought to a grinding halt, allowing time to finally pick up song fragments and ideas collected over years and coalesce them into an album. Positive reception led to the foundation of a live band, which has crystalized in the lineup of Nicholas DiSalvo, guitarist Michael Risberg (Elder, Weite), bassist Ingwer Boysen (Weite, High Fighter) and Uno Bruniusson (Maggot Heart, ex-Death Alley).

After a decade and a half as frontman of the seminal progressive psychedelic quartet Elder, DiSalvo founded delving as a secondary outlet to express musical ideas that didn’t fit in the paradigm of his main band. Exploring instrumental music with a heavy focus on psychedelic rock, krautrock, early electronic music as well as ambient sounds, delving still showcases the evocative melodies and unique songwriting which are his trademarks.

“All Paths Diverge” was composed – unlike its pandemic predecessor – in between time on tour and in studio with Elder. Culled once more from an ever-expanding songbook of ideas, the album’s seven lengthy tracks are a snapshot of DiSalvo’s current musical interests and love of sound exploration and remain evasive of genre confines. Intended as a subtle rebuff of the old adage “all roads lead to Rome”, the album title “All Paths Diverge” asserts that change is inevitable and nothing set in stone.

As DiSalvo recently said: “While looking back on the songs I wrote for this record over the past years, I was struck by how much has changed in my life and in the world since the first delving album came about in the height of the pandemic. This music is for me nostalgic and every part in each song brings back a memory of where I was at when writing it. I think it’s a very diverse album and that in itself a reflection of the fact that we’re all in flux, and that that’s a beautiful thing.”

FINGER ELEVEN Release New Track ‘Adrenaline’

As of August 2024, FINGER ELEVEN have officially crossed 1 billion overall career streams, averaging 5 million streams per week and therefore securing their status as one of the best-selling Canadian bands of all time.

To celebrate, FINGER ELEVEN have released a brand-new single “Adrenaline,” available today (August 2) digitally. Stream/download it now HERE. Both hard-hitting and musically adventurous, the anthemic track about the thrill of being alive is the first sample of material from the band’s upcoming 2025 album and debut release following their signing to Better Noise Music. The music video for “Adrenaline” will be released later this month on August 23.

“Sonically, I think ‘Adrenaline’ showcases a different side of the band,” says lead vocalist Scott Anderson. “There’s an exciting pulse in the music and I wanted the lyrics to keep up with that same energetic level. The song makes me want to go out and try something wild, or at the very least: turn it up real loud.”

FINGER ELEVEN are currently on tour across North America as direct support to rock icons Creed on their “Summer of ‘99” tour which features additional interchanging support from Three Doors Down, Daughtry, Switchfoot, Tonic, and Big Wreck. Fellowship will release the new album “The Skies Above Eternity” on the 22nd of November through Scarlet Records.

Fellowship was the absolute power metal revelation of 2022 with their magnificent debut album “The Saberlight Chronicles”; after successfully bringing their positive vibes live in Europe and Japan, and hitting the American stage for the first time as headliners of the Mad With Power Fest on August 2nd, the English band is now ready to take things to the next level with their sophomore record.

Once again recorded by Richard Campbell at Orpheus Studio, mixed and mastered by Alexander Backlund and Ricardo Borges at Fascination Street Studios, and graced by a stunning artwork courtesy of the Hungarian maestro Peter Sallai, “The Skies Above Eternity” is a journey into a new side of the Fellowship sound.

o celebrate their brand new studio album “Entfesselt” in glorious style, today, melodic death metal vikings ASENBLUT are not only playing their much-awaited album release show live at Wacken Open Air (followed by many more tour dates to kick off by the end of August!), but are also premiering a brand new music video for their latest single “Nox Nostra Est”!

About the album closing track, “Nox Nostra Est”, ASENBLUT frontman Tetzel says: “Sometimes you must simmer in your nostalgia. You can’t change the past but learn from it. Mistakes were made and bonds were broken, but there is always another day – and the night will always belong to us. In remembrance of those who walked alongside on our paths, and to those we lost along the road. A hymn to tears and laughter, a raised glass in a dark tavern. Nox nostra est.”

Even though their new record is not a concept album per se, the album title “Entfesselt” certainly gives the direction and right impression at first glance; there is just no holding back anymore. “Entfesselt” turned out rougher, more direct and more powerful than any ASENBLUT album before! 10 tracks filled with raw energy and emotion, considering the lowest lows and celebrating the highest highs.

The songwriting was done by Balrogh in close colaboration with Tetzel, who directed the songs and wrote all the lyrics. It is no coincidence that the choruses of a lot of songs draw you in and make you sing along and pump your fist! For the sound, the band decided to go a bit more in-your-face: Big guitars, strong and harsh growls and thundering drums.

Featuring guest appearances of such as Askeroth of Nachtblut and Matthias Mente (Deliver The Galaxy), “Entfesselt” was produced, mixed and mastered by Maté Balogh, with an additional mastering by Andrea Testori at Streetrec Studio. The cover artwork was designed by Nick Greenwood.
