Rising Finnish outfit MOURNING WOOD emerges from the shadows with the original music video for their track “Gone At Last.” The track is featured on Mourning Wood’s debut EP, “Fill Your Grave,” out now via Wormholedeath Records.
Mourning Wood injects their signature dark humor into the mix, creating a cathartic anthem perfect for those seeking to rise from the ashes of their past with a smirk.
Mourning Wood boasts a seasoned lineup with a combined arsenal of musical knowledge spanning vocational studies to university degrees. Their experience translates to a tight and polished sound, honed through countless gigs and an undeniable musical chemistry that stretches back to 2013 (officially forming in 2021).
Drawing inspiration from metal giants like Sentenced, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osbourne, and Billy Idol, the band delivers a fresh take on classic Finnish metal with a twist of their own. Mourning Wood’s songs are about life, death, and mental illness with a twist of dark humor.
“Fill Your Grave” delves into the raw pain of letting go. Each track explores the different stages of grief, from the initial shock to the simmering frustration that fuels the human condition. The journey began back in 2021 with guitarist Eino-Akseli Koski’s searing demos. The band meticulously crafted their sound, recording “Gone At Last” in 2022 and completing the EP in 2023.
After the excellent reception of the previous album ‘S.A.V.E.’, whose lyrics were centered on the deadly sins and theological virtues, the Italian melodic metal band MARBLE returns to the scene with a new, even more, compact and more ambitious album, the third seal of the band from Mortara (North Italy). ’T.I.M.E.’ revolves around female characters in the history of Western theatre, marking the time in the stylistic evolution of stage performances, starting with the ancient Greek tragedy of Euripides, passing through the British theatre of William Shakespeare, to the Russian social revolution of Anton Čechov, and on to the modern American theatre of Samuel Beckett.
The sextet, with an unchanged lineup and still led by the voice of Eleonora Travaglino, exploits the singer’s years of experience as a theatre actress, bringing to the compositions a heartfelt and dense interpretation that also makes use of important guests such as Ivan Adami (Stranger Vision) on “The Jester Duplicity”, Clode (Tethra) who offers his growl on “Heliosyncrasy” and “Theater Is My Essence”, and finally an entire choir for “Smile In Decay”.
The alternations between tight blast beats and melodic openings are the hallmark of Marble’s sound, focusing on the album ‘T.I.M.E.’ on vocal arrangements and melodic interlocks between guitars and keyboards. The album was produced by the band itself and mixed by Marco Zanibelli (Myriads Lights) at SunDowner Studio and stunning cover artwork by Greek artist Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design (Kamelot, Evergrey, Amaranthe, Suffocation etc.).
“We are proud to present ‘T.I.M.E.’, an album that for us means a leap forward in the composition of music and lyrics. The connection of the songs linked by the thread of theatre is a special concept and we are sure it will hit the mark with some really powerful tracks. Eleonora’s multiple vocal lines are set over a powerful rhythmic base, reminiscent of names such as Nevermore and Evergrey, perfectly set against articulate guitar solos and keyboard arrangements that fill out the sound, all set to Norman Ceriotti’s fast and precise drumming.” adds the band.
Today, the band presents their first single, “Theater Is My Essence”, which is the song that creates the acronym of the album title. It is a very rhythmic song with a heavy guitar sound but with a symphonic and piano arrangement that adds depth to the piece. Eleonora sings about her relationship with the theater, as she has also been an actress for a very long time, how the theater has been her lifeline and escape route and has allowed her to finally be herself wearing the masks of the characters on stage. The growls performed on the track are by guest Clode of the doom metal band Tethra.
Let the curtain rise and immerse yourself in MARBLE’s music.

FiXT mainstays DAEDRIC and HIGHSOCIETY, masters of melding rock and electronic realms, have joined forces for a new crushing collaboration “Dead By Dawn.”
This electrifying single showcases the best of both artists’ worlds. Daedric’s soaring powerful vocals and cinematic orchestral grandeur converge with HIGHSOCIETY’s punishing breakdowns and bone-rattling bass lines, creating a powerful and immersive listening experience. The track features an impressive array of instruments, including synthesizers, drums, guitar, and bass, all meticulously wrapped to deliver a sound that is both intense and exhilarating.
Both Daedric and HIGHSOCIETY have a history of pushing the boundaries of genre and style, and “Dead By Dawn” is no exception. This track is a testament to their ability to blend rock and electronic elements seamlessly, resulting in a sound that is uniquely their own. The combination of metalcore, alternative metal, and electronic influences creates a track that is both fierce and energetic, perfect for fans looking for something that defies convention.
“Daedric is an artist I’ve admired for a long time. Their music just has this huge, cinematic quality that always blows me away. After getting the chance to remix two of their tracks, I knew I had to take it a step further with an original collaboration blending our styles,” explains HIGHSOCIETY. “For this track, I wanted to fuse Daedric’s larger-than-life, epic sound with some of those cinematic elements they’re known for. But I also brought my own trademark bass-heavy metalcore vibe to the table. It’s a banger that smashes our two worlds together in a way that just works. I’m really proud of how this meeting of musical minds turned out.”
The ascending bass music talent that is known as HIGHSOCIETY has been on a rapid rise as of late, thanks to his addictive blend of stadium-crushing future bass, metallurgic dubstep, and blazing trap. With a seemingly endless torrent of releases across standout labels from FiXT, Barong Family, and Universal Music, to Red Bull Records and Lowly Palace/Trap Nation, HIGHSOCIETY has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting new acts in electronic music.
In the past HIGHSOCIETY worked with respected labels such as Dim Mak, Red Bull Records, Island Records, Lowly Palace, Welcome Records, Barong Family, Universal, and now FiXT. He’s also worked with many high-profile artists including AWOLNATION, Attack Attack!, Celldweller, Teddy Killerz, The Anix, Big Shaq, Reid Speed, Palisades, Jade, and Le Castle Vania as well as earned sync placements with HBO, MTV, MTV2, ABC Family, Freeform, and Oxygen. He’s performed live with Knife Party, Kill The Noise, Slushii, Modestep, GTA, and Elohim at many live festivals including but not limited to Live 105 BFD Festival, Bottlerock Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event, and many headline shows across the US.
Whether you’re an Elder Scrolls fan or just a music lover, Daedric leads you on a quest of apparent destiny with music that ranges from unrelenting breakdowns, incorporating hypnotic beats and cinematic transitions, coupled with vocals that range from ethereal to brutal, savage to soulful. The album performs a delicate dance between ethereal and ominous, delicate and harsh building up to new heights with each new single Mortal encapsulates the human condition in its entirety. We are flawed, we are brief, but we are vital.
Daedric has collaborated with labelmates Celldweller, Fight The Fade, Andromida, Void Chapter, and Kaixo for a gamut of well received singles that have also pulled in more fans across the world. After dropping a variety of singles, music videos, and collaborations Daedric has amassed over 300K followers across all platforms, scored mentions on Louder Sound, Punk Rocker, Metal Hammer, and Metal Injection. They’ve also gained notoriety on the Daedric Official Tik Tok Account covering the hit single “This Is Halloween.”
Upon Daedric‘s inception in Late 2020, they had a goal to create a dark Synthwave project that established a modern fantasy element that was lacking across the dystopian-filled genre. With Geoff’s captivating production, Clay’s syncopated riffs and Kristyn’s hypnotic vocal delivery, “Wretched” was forged and set forth an inevitable sound. More importantly, it opened the doors for true exploration. Over the next year Daedric would expand their writing across multiple genres, blending metal drums and industrial grooves with an amalgamation of synth, guitar and orchestration, all leading to a diverse soundscape to showcase Kristyn’s immense vocal range.
The band’s beautifully melodic, technically proficient and at times brutally heavy sound has catapulted them to the forefront of the modern metal scene, having toured as main support to TesseracT across Europe, Polyphia in the USA and sold out countless shows on their first North American headline tour in 2024.
Their latest album ‘…and everything in between’ has been described by publications such as Kerrang! as “ An album so forward-thinking that it’s a huge breath of fresh air in the world of metal” KKKK. This is driven in part by their virtuoso guitarist and vocalist Manuel Gardner Fernandes, whose talent for turning the most complex technique into ultra-modern melodies has made him a world renowned flag-bearer for the next generation of bands in the genre.
The German quartet represents a new evolution of futuristic guitar driven metal. 2024 will see the band take on Europe for their first headline tour with a plethora of new music and collaborations to come. ‘Sacrifice Me’ serves as the first offering of new material, and is some of their darkest yet most anthemic work to date.
Manuel Gardner Fernandes (vocals, guitars) commented: “We’re already moving into a new era of Unprocessed and the inspiration just kept on flowing after we released …and everything in between. ‘Sacrifice Me’ is a modern metal anthem that displays a darker, melancholic side of us that we haven’t shared too much of in the past.”
David Levy (bass) commented: “’Sacrifice Me’ is the first time we’re going out of our way to make bold punchlines and breakdowns in the spirit of modern metalcore. ‘Sacrifice Me’ is a way to describe unconditional love and the willingness to give up everything for someone, almost masochistically. The protagonist wants to suffer for his significant other to show true, selfless affection.”
