Veteran Midwest metallists CONQUEST returned with their latest album, and have just unleashed their latest single and lyric video from it, “Celtic Mist.”
Concerning the new single/video, the group’s singer and guitarist, Derrick Brumley, explained: “Celtic Mist is a great track that has a different feel to it than everything on the record. It leads off with bass guitar and the song is driven by the low end, and the bass guitar hook. Rob Boyer was in Ireland and came back with this great vibe and idea for the tune. Very strong and rhythm-driven. One of my favorite tunes on the record!”
‘Paradox’ is available as two vinyl records or a single CD (plus available on all streaming services), the album continues in the same direction as their previous studio offerings, as evidenced by such standout tracks as “Walking Dead” and “The Writings on the Wall” (both of which have already been issued as music videos), as well as a cover of the Rainbow classic, “Man on the Silver Mountain.”
Comprised of Brumley, Mike Crook: Vocals and Guitar, Rob Boyer: Vocals and Bass, and Lee Skyles: Vocals and Drums, ‘Paradox’ was also produced and engineered by Derrick (and mixed by Adam Long), the band’s latest album is getting rave reviews via metal media, including the Rock You Show site saying “I have to give this one 9.5 out of 10 “Flaming Fist”. You nearly get 2 albums worth of great quality music, including a stellar cover of Rainbow’s “Man on the Silver Mountain”. I thank them personally for keeping the Metal torch lit in these times of darkness”.
Emerging band She Was the Carnation and the Rose is excited to announce the release of their debut single, “Birds Before Rain,” from their debut album, The Guardian Angel, set to be released on August 2, 2024. The music and lyrics for the entire album were crafted by Michael Seebold, who also took on the role of producer. The recording, mixing, and mastering were expertly handled by Dick Hodgin at Osceola Studios in Raleigh, North Carolina.
“‘Birds Before Rain’ is the first single and the first song written specifically for the album. It marks the commencement of our project and evokes moods of gray weather, somewhere between Opeth’s Damnation and Tristania’s World of Glass,” says Michael Seebold.
Formed during the late rainy months of 2023, She Was the Carnation and the Rose is comprised of singer Noémi Sárog, songwriter Michael Seebold, and drummer Bill Eagen.
Their debut album, The Guardian Angel, features five original songs that create a range of atmospheres from wintry to melancholic to serene. This album is also the first installment in the band’s planned trilogy, known as the “stained glass” trilogy. Across these albums, listeners can expect a blend of dreamlike atmospheres, mellifluent and dark passages, and the occasional jazz nocturne or classical minuet.

UNEARTH captivate metal enthusiasts worldwide with the release of their electrifying new digital EP, Bask In The Blood Of Our Demons. Featuring a potent mix of unreleased tracks and blistering live performances, this EP showcases UNEARTH’s signature blend of ferocious instrumentation and thought-provoking lyricism. Included are two brand-new deep cuts from the recording process of The Wretched; The Ruinous, “Sea of the Lost” and “Warrior Souls,” with “Warrior Souls,” in particular, continuing the narrative explored in the album.
“It’s a pit starter from the opening seconds and is heavy and uncompromising throughout,” explains the band. “ Lyrically it imagines a desolate time when future generations take vengeance on their living predecessors for not doing more to save our environment from becoming uninhabitable and our species being on the brink of extinction. The more unlivable our world becomes, the fewer political, religious and cultural divides will exist. There will be only two missions remaining for the human race; survival and retribution.”
Adding to the EP’s dynamic energy are live recordings of “The Wretched; The Ruinous (Live in Texas, 2023)” and “Dawn of the Militant (Live in Texas, 2023),” providing fans with a visceral taste of UNEARTH’s commanding stage presence.

Joining Von Bewitcher, bassist A. Magus, and drummer A. Hunter in the studio this time was none other longtime BEWITCHER fan Lars Frederiksen. Most of the world knows Frederiksen as a force in his own right, playing in the likes of Bay Area punk heroes Rancid, as well as his own Old Firm Casuals. While to some, it may have been an unlikely pairing with Frederiksen taking the producer’s seat, for everyone in the studio the connection was immediate.
As Frederiksen previously commented on ‘Spell Shock’: “It’s the best record I’ve ever produced for one of the best bands in the world.”

Since their formation in 2013, Bewitcher has seen their signature “Black Magick Metal” sound go from humble beginnings to new heights of creativity and wild anthemic fervor. About Paul Di’Anno’s Warhorse: The core of the band and founders are Paul Di’Anno, vocals, Hrvoje Madiraca, guitar and Ante Pupačić Pupi, guitar.
Paul Andrews, a British singer better known by his stage name Paul Di’Anno, his nearly half-century-long career began explosively with Iron Maiden, when with the EP ‘The Soundhouse Tapes’, and the albums ‘Iron Maiden’ and ‘Killers ‘ forever cemented the foundations of heavy metal. With timeless hits like ‘Iron Maiden’, ‘Remember Tomorrow’, ‘Running Free’, ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Killers’, ‘Wratchild’, Murders in the Rue Morgue’, ‘Purgatory’ etc., they influenced numerous musicians and bands and were responsible for the creation or development of many subgenres in metal music.
Paul is known as one of the most productive singers, who has a huge number of albums and other releases behind him, either as a solo artist or a member of bands such as Gogmagog, Di’Anno’s Battlezone, Praying Mantis, Killers, Rockfellas, Architects of Chaoz or Warhorse. In all his incarnations, Paul always knew how to find a way to the fans, with numerous hits, uncompromising singing, which is confirmed by his successful career and furious live shows around the world.
For the last eight years, Paul faced serious health problems that almost ended his career, but thanks to his loyal fans, friends, Iron Maiden and his strong will to overcome the disease, Paul is on a big world tour again, and he recorded a new album with the Paul D’Anno’s Warhorse band, which will be released in mid-2024 for BraveWords Records, a new label, which is also an integral part of one of the most strongest brands in heavy metal music.
This icon of heavy metal with the heart of a punk rock rebel never spared himself in his life, but he always gave everything for music and fans, which is why they have followed him faithfully for almost fifty years.
Warhorse is the original band/project of Paul Di’Anno. The first idea of forming a band arose in December 2021, when Paul and guitarist Hrvoje Madiraca met in Zagreb, Croatia. The formation and naming of this project happened simultaneously with the writing and recording of new songs, which were started immediately after Paul and Hrvoje joined hands and thus formed the band. Warhorse independently released the DVD single ‘Stop the War’ in a limited edition of 666 copies and sold it out in just a few days. This was followed by the fantastic ‘Stop the War’ lyrics video, which delighted fans around the world. The Warhorse project gathered fantastic guest musicians on some songs, and a video will be filmed for almost every song on the album. The core of the band itself is the three ‘horsemen’ Paul Di’Anno – vocals, Hrvoje Madiraca – guitars and Ante Pupačić Pupi – Guitars. Fans at Warhorse live shows can expect a live explosion, musical virtuosos and a top stage attraction. Paul Di’Anno in the stadium edition, would be the most appropriate description. Warhorse is a parallel band to his classic ‘Paul Di’Anno’ line-up and unlike his standard set list, Warhorse concerts will abound with Warhorse songs, with the addition of Iron Maiden classics and special, unexpected covers chosen by Paul Di’Anno.
