Saudi thrash metal trailblazers DUNE are now unleashing a lyric video for the sonic onslaught “Sieve” a formidable track from their freshly released debut EP “Years Of Chains” which came out this May. Known for their genre-defying fusion and unrelenting energy, DUNE‘s latest offering is set to captivate metal enthusiasts worldwide. “Sieve” is a testament to the band’s evolution and their commitment to delivering a unique and powerful musical experience. The comment on the creation of the EP:
“Years of Chains” is an EP that we wrote years ago but didn’t get a chance to properly record due to multiple difficulties that came our way, after years we have chosen a list of the songs from the originals we have for the EP. The recording process was fun yet we looked for perfection to make the songs as we imagined them with the best quality that we could make.”
The track is the introduction to the EP and provides an eerie start to the chaos and aggression that follows. It clocks in at 4:41 and showcases DUNE‘s signature blend of chainsaw-heavy guitars, chunky bass slaps, intricate drum techniques, and aggressive vocals.
DUNE is excited to see the reception to their debut offering, it is a dark journey into tumultuous subjects and deep dark thoughts influenced by their culture and personal traumas. This EP comes from a mixture of hard work, ambition, introspection, and hostility and is recommended for fans of Testament, Metallica, and Korn.

Progressive death metal duo ENTHEOS today announces their new EP, An End To Everything, scheduled for release on October 25th through Metal Blade Records.
Merging elements pulled from countless genres – including death metal, groove, grunge, electronica, slam, gothic rock, jazz, prog and more – and pushing progressive death metal in ever more imaginative directions, ENTHEOS continues to progress with each new release.
Comments vocalist Chaney Crabb on their latest output, “An End To Everything’s title and lyrics are significant on a personal level and depict an era in my life that ended with the death of a close friend because of addiction. This person had thrived in life against many odds, but ultimately succumbed as a result of their own poor decisions. An End to Everything is about the nature of the darkness of life and the human experience.
“Musically, our goal on this EP was to write five songs that could both stand on their own as singles and be cohesive as a collection. As always, we aimed to incorporate many different musical influences and blend them in a succinct way. Over the span of three months, we worked from the demo stages to completion alongside Mark Lewis, who co-produced and engineered the EP, to make five tracks that are uniquely ‘ENTHEOS,’ and we are incredibly proud of the result.”
In advance of the release, the band today unveils a video for the track “All For Nothing.” Crabb elaborates, “‘All For Nothing’ is a song about existential reflection and the idea that, no matter how significant the things that we seek in this life seem, they may serve no purpose in the grand scheme of things. Musically, we wanted to write a more straightforward, catchy death metal song and incorporate a ‘big chorus’ ending.”
Watch the band’s previously released video for “An End To Everything“HERE and “Life In Slow Motion” HERE.

Go hard or go home. CANTERVICE unveils their latest “Chasing The Sky” and it’s a dive into their dystopian mythos complete with a dark story and though provoking lyrics as they offer a stinging commentary on contemporary society.
“Lyrically ‘Chasing the Sky’ sits right at home within our overarching dystopian narrative,” explains CANTERVICE. “It is also a relevant commentary on today’s workforce and how common it is in the culture, especially in corporate, for leadership to dangle “carrots” in front of employees, such as the verbal promise of a raise or promotion, which are often false and not in writing. These are psychologically manipulative tactics intended to exploit ambition, pushing employees to work harder and beyond the initial scope of their role to achieve leadership’s own goals. The leaders then advance in their own careers while boasting these accomplishments on their resumes and LinkedIn, all without sharing the success with the employees who got them there or providing them with any additional momentum for their career growth. The employees often come out very damaged from this process, in ways that not only affect their motivation for work and career growth but also impact their personal lives and the relationships with those they are closest to.”
CANTERVICE’s new track is a powerful blend of metalcore, alternative metal, and hard rock, infused with energetic and fierce moods. The anthem is an electrifying addition to their powerful arsenal as the track seamlessly traverses diverse genres to capitalize on sonic storytelling. With vocals that dance between powerful to brutal in a dichotic battle laced with thrashing guitars, synthesizers, and steady rhythms this single is a perfect representation of CANTERVICE’s ability to merge heavy instrumentation with deep lyrical content.
Freedom is an illusion, one created by those who’ve taken the concept of freedom, hijacked it, and then repackaged it into a commodity. We live in a world where our thoughts, feelings, and interactions are stamped with a bar code and sold to the highest bidder. We are all victims of informational and psychological warfare on a day-to-day basis, and our perception of reality has become nothing more than what those wishing to play God have created for us. We belong to them now, and we allowed it to happen. We voted for it, invested in it, and as we descended into a state of Stockholm syndrome, we traded what rights we had left for security, to protect us from the same system that they created. It’s a system created for a single purpose, to ensure that we always will need them. Society has become brainwashed and sedated, slowly entering into a slumber of which there is no return. This was the plan from the beginning, the wheels are in motion and they are making their move. Now the question is, what will we do to stop it? Welcome to CANTERVICE. https://link.fixtmusic.com/chasingthesky
American masked metal masters MUSHROOMHEAD recently announced their brand-new, upcoming ninth album, Call The Devil, out August 9, 2024 via Napalm Records. 30 years into their groundbreaking history, the band shows no signs of slowing down, proving innovative without losing sight of their trademark sound and imagery.
Following the album’s hard-hitting first single, “Fall In Line” – which Revolver dubbed “groove-heavy” and Consequence called “a pummeling barrage of industrial metal” – today, MUSHROOMHEAD unveil their second new nü metal-laden single “Prepackaged”. The song shines as one of the band’s heaviest new offerings, cementing their renown with massive riffs, aggressive growls and a catchy chorus.
MUSHROOMHEAD mastermind Steve “Skinny” Felton says about “Prepackaged”: “‘Prepackaged’ turned out extremely heavy, aggressive and haunting. Full of dark sonic textures. Both the video and the song are delightfully dark, foreboding and unrelentingly grim.”
Resulting in debuts at #2 on the US Current Hard Music Albums chart and #8 on the Current Rock Albums chart, MUSHROOMHEAD introduced a whole new slew of accessible, hard-hitting anthems on the “artistic breakthrough” (Loudwire), A Wonderful Life, and have only aimed to expand on it with their ninth auditory onslaught.
Returning after a 12 year hiatus, longtime guitarist Dave “Gravy” Felton – who performed on several of the band’s biggest albums and is credited as a primary songwriter on classic anthems like “Along The Way”, “Sun Doesn’t Rise” and “The Dream Is Over” – contributes his trademark skills to two Call The Devilalbum tracks. The album once again features production by band mastermind/drummer Steve “Skinny” Felton, as well as the return of Matt Wallace (Faith No More, 3 Doors Down) on mixing, also recognized for his work on MUSHROOMHEAD’s iconic album XIII. The album is also the band’s first to feature mastering from Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Epica, Arch Enemy).
Bursting with ominous intensity, album opener “Eye To Eye” launches with warning sirens and a grooving riff provided by Gravy, proving the band wastes zero time with filler on Call The Devil. Eclectic tracks like the emotive, surprisingly jazzy anthem “Emptiness”, dramatic carnival creeper “UIOP (A Final Reprieve)” and haunting “Hallelucination” showcase the more experimental side of MUSHROOMHEAD, while heavy burners such as the gripping “Prepackaged”, charging and melodic “Hideous” and aggressive drum-forward “Torn In Two” cement the band’s lauded metal renown. Featuring guitar work and writing from Gravy, the winding, dark “We Don’t Care” proves to be a future live favorite with its chanting chorus and earworm hook as vocalists Steve Rauckhorst and Jackie LaPonza split leadership duties. Call The Devil brings the cinematic, signature style of musical mastermind and bassist/keyboardist Ryan “Dr. F” Farrell to the forefront, exploring piano-driven balladic auras and compelling with eerily Vaudevillian three-part vocal achievements on songs like “Decomposition”, “Grand Gesture” and “Shame In A Basket”, eventually veering into welcomed bizarre territory with album closer “Doom Goose”.
Call The Devil track listing: 1. Eye To Eye 2. Fall In Line 3. Emptiness 4. We Don’t Care 5. UIOP (A Final Reprieve) 6. Prepackaged 7. Decomposition 8. Grand Gesture 9. Hallelucination 10. Hideous 11. Torn In Two 12. Shame In A Basket 13. Doom Goose
