Progressive death metal duo ENTHEOS, who recently wrapped up a successful month-long tour supporting As I Lay Dying, has unveiled their video for “A Thousand Days.” The fiery new hymn comes by way of the band’s forthcoming EP, An End To Everything, slated to drop on October 25th through Metal Blade Records.
Comments vocalist Chaney Crabb, “Lyrically, ‘A Thousand Days’ is a song about feeling as if you’re on the edge of life and death. In writing ‘A Thousand Days,’ we wanted to focus on a more ‘mellow’ death metal vibe and simultaneously incorporate some elements of grunge and pitched screaming in the chorus.“

Merging elements culled from numerous genres including death metal, groove, grunge, electronica, slam, gothic rock, jazz, and prog and pushing progressive death metal in ever more imaginative directions, ENTHEOS continues to expand their sound with each new release.
“An End To Everything’s title and lyrics are significant on a personal level and depict an era in my life that ended with the death of a close friend because of addiction,” notes Crabb. “This person had thrived in life against many odds, but ultimately succumbed as a result of their own poor decisions. An End To Everything’ is about the nature of the darkness of life and the human experience.” ENTHEOS‘ An End To Everything EP was mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Fallujah, Whitechapel) and features artwork by Zac Shiffer (Nine Inch Nails, Behemoth, Soundgarden).

Melodic synth-metal masters DELAIN are set to break new ground with their upcoming EP, Dance with the Devil, set to be released on November 8, 2024 via Napalm Records! Following the success of their latest full-length opus, Dark Waters (2023) – which debuted at #9 on both the US Hard Music Albums chart and the Official German Album Charts – this EP promises to showcase the best of DELAIN’s discography while striding ahead into a future that promises to explore new, more synth-driven soundscapes than ever before.
Today, DELAIN introduce the first offering off the upcoming EP by releasing its title track, “Dance with the Devil” together with a visually captivating music video. With very personal lyrics, catchy electronic synths and powerful contrasting growls, the five-piece underlies its melodic signature sound and presents a future fan favorite without a shadow of a doubt!
Martijn Westerholt on the song: “We’re really excited and eager to share this new DELAIN song with the world. It captures the recognisable and signature sound of DELAIN but with a fresh and modern touch”.
Martijn Westerholt adds about the video: “This video was shot the day after we performed at Summer Breeze in Germany. We still had the adrenaline of that show in our system and were stoked to be able to carry that energy into the video. We had a blast! The video contains a dramatized depiction of the struggle between good and evil – the war we all wage both without and, often times, within our own selves”.
As their second release with a revitalized lineup anchored by founding member and band mastermind Martijn Westerholt, Dance with the Devil features a thrilling collection of two brand new tracks, two newly-presented favorites, nine electrifying live performances, and two instrumental bonus tracks, showcasing the best of their catchy, melodic signature sound with extensive electronic synth elements and fresh modern nuances.
The offering debuts with two gripping new tracks, “Dance with the Devil” and “The Reaping”, serving as a whirlwind of emotions articulating feelings of anger and sorrow through catchy electronic synth melodies and modern heaviness. “The Reaping” delves into collective themes, expressing disillusionment with the current path of society toward imminent and inescapable consequences. Following these, the EP presents a brand-new version of “Sleepwalkers Dream”, showcasing Diana Leah’s voice and her breathtaking full vocal capacities. Dance with the Devil continues with nine live performances, featuring massively-streamed hits from both the present and the past. These include “Burning Bridges”, “The Quest and the Curse”, “Moth to a Flame”, and the massive hit “April Rain”, which has been streamed over 10 million times, along with “Queen of Shadow”. In addition, the digipak edition features instrumental versions of “Dance with the Devil” and “The Reaping”, as well as an alternate ending version of “Underland”. DELAIN’s new EP impressively underlines the unit’s high-class standing in the scene and continues their voyage of setting fans’ hearts ablaze!
Martijn Westerholt adds: “We’re thrilled to have brand new material ready to be released! In addition to the new songs, it was fantastic to have captured some magical live moments of our European tour earlier this year as live tracks for the EP. We’re definitely very excited for this release and are really looking forward to bringing the new music to the stage!”

The Browning has announced his upcoming album OMNI is now up for pre-order from FiXT, with the album releasing on November 8th and available to pre-order on digital, CD & vinyl.
The Browning’s latest offering, “OMNI” (feat. THE DEFECT) which premiered exclusively at Revolver Mag yesterday, is fueled by a powerful surge of disillusionment and anger, challenges the pervasive deceit and manipulation that have plagued our world. This frustration fueled the creation of The Browning’s new deathcore album, OMNI. “The powers that be are brainwashing and manipulating the masses into hating each other while poisoning themselves,” explains The Browning. “I normally would never talk about any of this stuff because I’m good at ignoring things and focusing on my goals and my family, but their over reach and manipulation has been way too blatant and evil to ignore the past few years so now I’m mad about it and I can’t hold my tongue.”
OMNI is a visceral journey through the depths of deathcore, featuring ten powerful tracks, including collaborations with Nik Nocturnal and THE DEFECT. The album showcases some of The Browning’s heaviest songs yet, like “HIVEMIND” and “Poison,” which together have amassed over 2.5 million streams across all digital platforms. “Deceiver,” the third release from the album brings a blistering critique of the deceitful narratives perpetuated by those in power. Accompanied by an adrenaline-fueled official music video, “Deceiver” blends the explosive energy of metalcore with the dark, mechanical undertones of industrial and the raw emotion of deathcore and its inspiration – the iconic delivery found in Rammstein’s “Du Hast.” The album ends with the ominous double capstone of singles “Come To Grips With Death and the End” and “Soul Drift” which flip a complete 180 while still maintaining the fierce vocals with “Soul Drift” illustrating the very definition of rave metal.
Dropping with the pre-order announcement is the explosive new track “OMNI” featuring THE DEFECT, which serves as a harbinger of the album’s fierce energy. The Browning’s Jonny McBee’s brutal vocals collide with THE DEFECT’s Moon’s sultry and ethereal tones for a vicious dichotic maelstrom.
The Browning is an electronic metal band founded by Jonny McBee as a solo project in 2005. In 2010 The Browning transitioned into a full band and has toured the world with bands such as Electric Callboy, Static X, Fear Factory, and We Came As Romans. They’ve put out two EPs Standing On The Edge EP (2010), Time Will Tell EP (2011), and five albums, Burn This World (2011) Hypernova (2013), Isolation (2016), Geist (2018), and End Of Existence (2021). The Browning‘s current lineup is Jonny McBee and Hardcore Keem. The Browning has consistently pushed the boundaries of music, fusing genres and redefining heavy sounds. The band’s new line-up sets the stage for an electrifying chapter in their journey.
In 2011 on their full-length debut Burn This World, The Browning expanded the boundaries of heavy music through a seamless fusion of industrial, electronic, rock, and metal. In 2013 Hypernova represented a high watermark for the band. Named ‘Album of the Week’ by Revolver, it yielded the signature anthem “Bloodlust,” which clocked over 2.6 million views and nearly 2 million streams. In 2016, they reached another level with Isolation, earning acclaim from outlets such as New Noise Magazine and generating millions of views between “Dragon” and “Disconnect.” The fourth full-length album, Geist, released in 2018, would push The Browning even further into the boundaries of heavy music with added deathcore and techno influences. End Of Existence released in 2021 would go on to receive generally positive reviews with Dom Lawson of Blabbermouth.net saying, “As ever, if the idea of metal mixed with EDM gives you violent facial tics and a sense of impending doom, End of Existence makes no attempt to make amends or win you over. And nor should it. The Browning have spent a decade pursuing an eccentric and polarizing path, and they still sound like a flash of inspiration brought to life.”
The Browning officially signed to FiXT in late 2023, after collaborating with the label for several years, creating two official remixes for Celldweller and signing a merchandise deal. The band has since released three well received singles with the FiXT. “Poison” which scored placements on Pandora’s AMP: Fresh Cuts, Industrial Metal, New Metal, This year In Metal, New Metal Now; Spotify’s All New Metal,, as well as featured on the WWE. The single currently sits on over 1.5 million streams alone on Spotify since its release. “HIVEMIND” would go on to score placements on Spotify’s All New Metal, New Flesh (Knotfest), and The Core, as well as VEVO’s Incoming Metal. “Deceiver” hit Pandora’s New Metal Now, New Metal (Station), This Year In Metal; Deezer’s Killed By Metal, Deathcore, and Metal Radar, and; Spotify’s All New Metal. Their sixth full length album OMNI is set to hit the airwaves in November 2024
Jonny McBee, vocalist, and songwriter for The Browning, is a trailblazing presence in the metal scene. He is also known for his role as the host and operator of the “Burn This World Podcast,” which is set to make its triumphant return this Fall. He also streams in The Browning Discord channel with fans tuning in to watch his creative process. Jonny is set to embark on a parallel journey, launching a groundbreaking new side project: The Defect.
Hardcore Keem, the band’s guitarist, brings his unique vision and sound to The Browning. Originally just a fan of the band, he officially joined The Browning on tour in 2022, now becoming a staple for the band’s future and marketing. Besides being in the band, he’s also a heavy music influencer and promoter with over 300K in social reach, including 100K+ followers on Instagram alone, and runs his own podcast, The Hardcore Keem Show.
THE DEFECT is an electronic-rock duo founded by The Browning frontman Jonny McBee and debut singer, Moon, in 2023.

Founded in 2005, THE FORESHADOWING can look back on a successful and eventful history. Listeners of gothic, doom and dark metal are very familiar with the quartet’s work. THE FORESHADOWING gained popularity in the international scene with four acclaimed albums released between 2007 and 2016: “Days of Nothing” (2007), “Oionos” (2010), “Second World” (2012) and “Seven Heads, Ten Horns” (2016).
In 2023, THE FORESHADOWING ended a forced break of several years with the EP “Forsaken Songs” and a European tour with SATURNUS and IN THE WOODS. Now, “New Wave Order” is the group’s fifth full length album and their debut on LIFEFORCE RECORDS. The formation from Rome emphasizes its strengths on the album and offers cinematic tracks of dark music that is nevertheless immensely catchy and mood-enhancing.

“CPU” is the latest single from MASTER BOOT RECORD (MBR). The track comes by way of HARDWAREZ, the forthcoming third full-length from the Rome, Italy-based electronic metal project, set for release on October 11th via Metal Blade Records.
HARDWAREZ sees multi-instrumentalist and MBR mastermind Vittorio D’Amore (aka Victor Love) aurally exploring the duality of technology and humanity in nine intense and incandescent tracks. The LP, which follows 2022’s Personal Computer and 2020’s Floppy Disk Overdrive, comes from the expansive mind of Love, an Italian producer who emerged from the underground as an anonymous project in 2016 to create the soundtrack for the cyberpunk point-and-click adventure game VirtuaVerse. The project seamlessly evolved into a standalone entity, releasing over fourteen albums in just a few years.
To create HARDWAREZ, the technologist worked by live streaming his desktop on YouTube while composing new music. Everything is programmed via MIDI. “The very first song I wrote is actually also the first single, ‘CPU,’” he says. “Even though the other songs on the album have a quite different style, the type of riffing and the different melodic section of this track worked as a base to upgrade the sound before moving forward.” “CPU” is also where Love decided to test the real guitar overdubs and was inspired by the results.
“While the early compositions happened during live streams, I added rhythm guitar overdubs off the records in the final stages,” Love continues. “This synergy with the synth guitars creates a massive and powerful sound in the studio, just as it does during our live performances. Shreddy also recorded the lead guitars along the chiptune leads adding a lot of attack and an unique energy to the solo sections. The overall production level is much higher than previous releases, contributing to a new, upgraded signature sound.
“With this album the 486DX-33MHz-64MB becomes sentient through human augmentation. For we may become better humans with their help, but machines still need us to shine.”
The album title merges the term “Hardware” with “warez,” also known as The Scene, more commonly known as the scene of cracks and pirated software which has been influential to Love in terms of crack and keygen music. While Love also organically began listening to electronic music, acid techno, industrial and synth pop, he also “grew up in the ’90s through all the grunge, nu-metal and industrial scene.”
Old-school metal as well as ’80s and ’90s movies and video games — and music from these — also play a role in Love’s musical DNA. His years of music and computer fanaticism is all manifested in MASTER BOOT RECORD and HARDWAREZ. “What I’m doing with this album and to an extent with previous ones, is to mix the sounds of cracks, keygen, demoscene and video game-inspired chiptune with heavy metal and classical music using hardware and computers to produce it.”

Award-winning and critically acclaimed Canadian blues rock one-man band, guitarist and singer-songwriter, Steve Hill is pleased to announce the release of his new studio album Hanging OnA String released Friday 1 November 2024.
The first single “World Gone Insane” is available on all streaming platforms on Friday 6 September. Pre-save the single HERE. Watch the official music video on YouTube HERE.
Recorded in Los Angeles at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606, produced by 10 X Grammy Winner Darrell Thorp (Foo Fighters, Radiohead, Paul McCartney) and mastered by 6 X Grammy Winner Michael Romanowski, Steve Hill’s latest album is as close to the heart as you can get. Decades of dedication to the lifestyle of a working musician have shaped him and his craft, and Steve’s new batch of songs are based on his own successes and failures and the life lessons he’s learned from them.
Steve has always loved concept albums. Even though the songs on Hanging on A String weren’t written with a concept in mind, when you put them all together, it feels like a concept album, set in a dystopian world where music is the only salvation.
The funny thing is that it’s not set in the distant future, it’s right here and now, and the hero is not a made-up character, it’s just Steve doing what he’s been doing for decades. Its themes are both very personal and universal. It’s about a one-man blues-rock band trying to make a living and dealing with accidents and bumps in the road and forging ahead no matter what, it’s about the life of a musician as it gets harder to tour in these post-pandemic times, having to deal with new challenges like being replaced by artificial intelligence.
The album starts with the line “Woke up in a house on fire” and the conception of the album started with that line. Steve had just finished a tour in Western Canada and was sleeping in a friend’s basement when he woke up surrounded by smoke.
Like the song says, “I got my buddy out of there. Good thing I generally have a hard time sleeping…”
He then went to the airport and before taking off, posted a photo of him on his socials, with these words: Woke up in a house on fire. His buddy Brian Laudenslager who owns the Lauten Audio microphone company wrote back, “Man, that’s a good line for a song!” to which Steve agreed! Brian had been telling Steve to record in Los Angeles for years.
“He had hired me in the past to do demos of his microphones at events like the NAMM show and other industry events,” says Steve. “His good friend, 10X Grammy winner Darrell Thorp, was the sound engineer whenever I did those shows.”
A few days and conversations later, Brian had booked Darrell and the Foo Fighter’s Studio 606 (yes, the one with the classic Neve console that used to be at Sound City) to record his next album. He then had 90 days to write an album’s worth of material and learn how to play it live (he recorded every instrument at the same time in the studio)!
He spent 5 days a week in his home studio for 3 months crafting the songs and was ready to nail it all down. He flew to LA where his friend and songwriting partner Johnny Pilgrimpicked him up at the airport and 20 minutes later, they were hit by another car that ran a red light. This was his second car accident in less than a year, as he had previously totalled his van, fallen asleep at the wheel coming home from a gig 9 months earlier, and miraculously survived a massive wreck that all witnesses said should have killed him…
He did his best to record with some broken ribs, but his injuries got the best of him and the producers decided to postpone the recording. He healed and perfected the songs for another 3 months and finally came back to 606 in January 2024, and this time nothing could stop him… He had 6 days to record the album, and he did it in 5! Never were more than 3 takes needed and most of what you hear are first or second takes.
Says Steve, “I’ve never been prouder of anything I’ve done in all my life. This is the music I’ve been wanting to do and never thought I could ever perform that as a one-man band. Raw, in your face and straight to the point. This record is about perseverance, resilience in the face of adversity and my never-ending love for guitar music.”
“I truly believe this to be my best work so far and I hope you enjoy it, too.”
We’ve heard a lot about Steve Hill over the past 30 years, and we’re about to hear a lot more. From backing up some of the biggest acts in his native Quebec as a teenager, to becoming a bandleader in his 20s, to solo artist, to writer, performer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, to one-man band extraordinaire, Steve has followed his own path for most of his life.
That path has brought him Juno Awards and Maple Blues Awards along with accolades from the biggest guitar magazines on the planet. The man has had an incredibly busy life and more than his share of ups and downs, but you haven’t heard the best of it yet…
His latest album is as close to the heart as you can get. Decades of dedication to the lifestyle of a working musician have shaped him and his craft, and Steve’s new batch of songs are based on his own successes and failures and the life lessons he’s learned from them.
His latest album, Hanging on a String, a true “concept album by accident”, shows this one-man orchestra at its best, on an extraordinary recording that is undoubtedly the finest of his career!

ALBUM TRACK BY TRACK
HANGING ON A STRING You don’t go for the brass ring when you’re hanging on a string. It’s hard to elevate yourself when you spend your time trying to stay alive. Each verse goes through a real story on the road where I cheated death.
DEVIL’S HANDYMAN A song about the drug epidemic from the point of view of the dealer in which he encounters a young man on the street, a Hollywood starlet on her way down and an old junkie.
SHOW YA An overview of my life from the first moment I go into music, right up to the last few years, touring in a post-pandemic world where things are not what they used to be or what I thought they would be. But still, the reason I do it is the same, for the love of the music and the love of entertaining an audience.
WORLD GONE INSANE The big question is: Has the world gone insane or is it all in my brain? Have you ever been so disgusted by social media, alternate truss, and the lack of over meaning with the new works that you just want to disconnect, get rid of every technological tool, and go live in a cabin in the woods?
MAGGIE Maggie my girl, Maggie my world, Maggie’s always been the star. Maggie, Maggie, my guitar! Just your regular dom/sub love song about a guitar.
YOU KNOW WHO It’s about our new saviour, artificial intelligence, where we won’t even have to think, just relax, and have a drink, and I won’t even have to sing. It’ll write the songs and we’ll just have to play along.
TURNED TO DUST A look back on a past you shared with a lover or a version of humanity that is no longer relevant as times have changed. Trying to go ahead and move along when all that you knew and loved has turned to dust.
WHEN THE MUSIC’S OVER The old Doors classic, still has relevant now than over 50 years ago. No matter what happens, music is there. When the music is your special friend, dance on fire as it intends. Music is your only friend until the end.
