Italian Progressive Post-Rockers STRANIA Announce New Single ‘Metempsychosis’, Debut Album Coming

Italian progressive post-rockers STRANIA are set to release their new single ‘Metempsychosis’ on September 13th, featuring Mattia Braghero as guest vocalist. The single is taken from the band’s upcoming debut album “Acceptance”, out later this Fall via Diotima Records.

Currently, the production of the first album, “Acceptance” has been completed, independently produced at Giacomo Salani’s “La Fucina” recording studio in Empoli (FI). The album consists of five songs, composed between 2021 and 2023, recorded in collaboration with four different singers external to the project.

Further news on STRANIA’s activities will be revealed in the coming weeks!

STRANIA is an Italian progressive post-rock band, formed in the province of Florence by Andrea Borgioli, Mattia Nicolini and Giacomo Bracci in the summer of 2019. The band reached its current four-piece lineup in late summer 2022.

The members of the band have a very heterogeneous musical culture, but the meeting point between them is highlighted in the post-rock genre, which leaves a lot of expressive and compositional freedom to the group. In fact, all the songs are composed in a collective creative process in the rehearsal room, which can sometimes even last whole day sessions, taking care of the smallest detail.

GIRLSCHOOL Announce West Coast Tour, Second Leg of Final North American Tour

The longest tenured all-female rock band and NWOBHM legends GIRLSCHOOL will be embarking on the last leg of their final North American tour this autumn! The trek will conquer the West Coast and Southwest from October 16 until drawing the final curtain on November 5. More dates are TBA!

The trek will see rotating direct support from LILLIAN AXE and ALCATRAZZ.The itinerary can be found below while tickets are now on sale and can be found HERE.

Girlschool originated in the UK during the New Wave of British Heavy Metal Scene in 1978 and is frequently associated with contemporaries and friends Motörhead. They are the longest running all-female rock band, still active and rocking hard after more than 40 years.

Girlschool enjoyed strong media exposure and commercial success in the U.K. in the early 1980s with three albums of ‘punk-tinged metal’ and a few singles.

In the 1990s and 2000s, they concentrated their efforts on live shows and tours, reducing considerably the production of studio albums. During their long career Girlschool toured all over the world, performing at many of the biggest rock and metal festivals as well as co-headlining with or supporting some of the most important hard rock and heavy metal bands in the genre.

They maintain a worldwide cult following and are considered an inspiration for many succeeding female rock musicians, such as The Donnas.

Original members Kim McAuliffe, Denise (Drench) Dufort are still in the band to this day, original member lead guitarist /vocalist/songwriter Kelly Johnson died of cancer in 2007 and was replaced by lead guitarist/songwriter Jackie (Jax) Chambers in 1999.

On July 28, 2023 at FORTY-FIVE years young, the British hard rock royalty came out swinging with their 14th studio album ‘WTFortyfive?,’ an outstanding and deliciously dirty declaration that age is a number that shows how much real raw attitude you have when it really counts. Kim, Denise, Jackie and Tracey leave the grit under their finger nails and the scuzz on their crusty leather boots as they riff and stomp their way through 12 statements of intent showing major attitude, some great melodies, and a consistent crunch to every guitar.

ANDY ROCKS Release New Single + Visualizer ‘Rock The Night Away’

ANDY ROCKS have released their new single and video ‘Rock The Night Away’.

Andy Rocks was formed by Andrea Weiß in 2018. The project, Andy Rocks, sees the music written and arranged by the current members. “I am active as songwriter and singer since I was a teenager and always loved rock music. We produced our first EP Porcelain Heart in 2019. Our first full album Look at what we’ve done was released in 2021. We write, produce and record everything ourselves, also the artworks and videos”. – Andrea

In 2024 the band plans to release and write new songs and videos. The third new single Rock The Night Away was released on August 15.

ASTRAL DOORS release the new single “Temple Of Lies”, taken from the coming studio album “The End Of It All”, out on October 18th on Metalville Records.

“Temple Of Lies” is one of the fastest tracks on the new album and will make the hearts of all fans of honest heavy metal beat faster. On “Temple Of Lies”, the full size and power of the Swedish metal legend unfolds. The song is one of the band’s best songs ever. Outstanding musical ability combined with great vocals and expressive lyrics.

The legendary metal band founded in Borlänge, Sweden, in 2003 returns with a brand new studio album five years after their chart success ‘Worship Or Die’.

After nine albums released so far, the guys were keen to record a tenth, their anniversary album.

The band decided to call the album ‘The End Of It All’ as a reflection on what the world is like today and also to somehow say that this might be the last album in the ASTRAL DOORS’ career.

The recording of ‘The End Of It All’ took place once again in Borlänge, and the band found the inspiration and creativity to present the world with a new classic ASTRAL DOORS album.

Nils Patrik Johansson’s lyrics and vocal melodies are outstanding, as has always been the case with the ASTRAL DOORS. In addition, the two songwriters Johan Lindstedt and Joachim Nordlund prove once again that they have the exact feel for what catchy heavy metal should sound like.

Vocalist Oliver Weckert comments about their latest single “Du siehst mich an” (German for “You look at me”): “The song expresses my daily weakening faith in us as a society. We can no longer really communicate with each other – except perhaps through small talk; everything is highly emotional – especially in ideological questions. We take ourselves too seriously, I think, or are perhaps too stuck in our ways to jump over this or that shadow on certain issues that affect us as a society together or equally. It seems that this won’t change again any time soon, which I find very unfortunate, because I think that we should all be keen on good (harmonious) coexistence (in society)…”
