In an era where the essence of black metal has been diluted by the sands of time and commercial ambition, GRAVENOIRE stands as the unyielding monument to its original, uncompromising spirit. Today, the Frenchmen are proud to announce their much-anticipated debut album, Devant La Porte Des Étoiles, with its first beacon: “France de l’Ombre”.

Devant La Porte Des Étoiles comes out August 23 on Season of Mist. Pre-save and pre-order your journey into the shadows: https://orcd.co/gravenoiredevantlaportedesetoiles

Gravenoire come forged in the sacred fires of artistic rebellion and spiritual awakening, bound by their shared lineage with Anorexia Nervosa, BÂ’A, Diablation and others amidst the pantheon of black metal elites. The French band channel the raw, unfiltered energies of spectral and earthly realms.  Devant La Porte Des Étoiles serves as a tome, inscribed with the ink of defiance and the undying lust for transcendence, guiding listeners through forgotten paths under a starlit dome.

Crafted in the crucible of raw emotion and shrouded mysteries, “France de l’Ombre” is a declaration, a ritualistic embrace of the shadows that define existence. On their first single, Gravenoire dive deep into the heart of darkness, resurrecting the primordial sounds of 90’s black metal with the unique mystical essence that courses through the band’s veins. It’s a journey back to the roots, back to a time when music was a gateway to the primal and the arcane.

GRAVENOIRE was formed in early 2022 by Maximilien Brigliadori (BÂ’A, Diablation, former Hyrgal), Emmanuel Zuccaro (BÂ’A, Verfallen, former Hyrgal), Vicomte Vampyr Arkames (Diablation (former Seth / Ad-Inferna) and RMS Hreidmarr (Glaciation, BÂ’A, former Anorexia Nervosa / The CNK), with the clear intention of reconnecting with their past and a somewhat uncompromising vision of ’90s Black Metal.

The band’s first album, “Devant la porte des étoiles“, was recorded live on rehearsal, with no tracking, no triggers, no click track, no artifice. No compromise with reality, for it is through it and by it that we foresee other dimensions.

GRAVENOIRE is not, however, merely nostalgic or backward-looking; it’s a project deeply rooted in its native lands, in their popular as well as spiritual and mystical traditions, drawing its essence from sacred places, cosmic architecture and primordial telluric forces. “The cosmos is a revolving door”.

DELVING (Feat. Nicholas DiSalvo of ELDER) Present First Single ‘Zodiak’ from Upcoming Studio Album

delving, the instrumental psych-kraut-prog-rock project headed by Nicholas DiSalvo (best known as frontman of Elder) has finally revealed new details about its forthcoming, sophomore studio offering! “All Paths Diverge” will be released on August 23, 2024, as two Vinyl editions via Stickman Records (EU) and Blues Funeral Recordings (US). Album pre-orders are now available, and a music video for the first, stellar album single “Zodiak” is now premiering below!

“All Paths Diverge has many faces and facets, and Zodiak shows some of the most progressive and heavy sides of the record.” DiSalvo comments. “Note that this is only an abridged version and the full album version contains minutes more of ambiance! I probably worked on Zodiak for a few years off and on and I think each part of the track reflects a moment in time, a portion of the year, a segment of the zodiac.”

The song is out now on all digital providers at https://bfan.link/zodiak-2

After a decade and a half as frontman of the seminal progressive psychedelic quartet Elder, DiSalvo founded delving as a secondary outlet to express musical ideas that didn’t fit in the paradigm of his main band. Exploring instrumental music with a heavy focus on psychedelic rock, krautrock, early electronic music as well as ambient sounds, delving still showcases the evocative melodies and unique songwriting which are his trademarks.

The debut album “Hirschbrunnen” was recorded in the pandemic years where touring was brought to a grinding halt, allowing time to finally pick up song fragments and ideas collected over years and coalesce them into an album. Positive reception led to the foundation of a live band, which has crystalized in the lineup of DiSalvo, guitarist Michael Risberg (Elder, Weite), bassist Ingwer Boysen (Weite, High Fighter) and Uno Bruniusson (Maggot Heart, ex-Death Alley).

“All Paths Diverge” is delving’s second full-length and was composed – unlike its pandemic predecessor – in between time on tour and in studio with Elder. Culled once more from an ever-expanding songbook of ideas, the album’s seven lengthy tracks are a snapshot of DiSalvo’s current musical interests and love of sound exploration and remain evasive of genre confines. Intended as a subtle rebuff of the old adage “all roads lead to Rome”, the album title “All Paths Diverge” asserts that change is inevitable and nothing set in stone.

DiSalvo adds: “While looking back on the songs I wrote for this record over the past years, I was struck by how much has changed in my life and in the world since the first delving album came about in the height of the pandemic. This music is for me nostalgic and every part in each song brings back a memory of where I was at when writing it. I think it’s a very diverse album and that in itself a reflection of the fact that we’re all in flux, and that that’s a beautiful thing.”

Germany-based melodic death metal unit DELIVER THE GALAXY have inked a worldwide deal with Massacre Records, who will proudly release the band’s forthcoming studio album, entitled “Bury Your Gods”, on August 30, 2024! A video clip for the first album single “Live.Die.Repeat” is now streaming below!

“We are super happy to be part of the MASSACRE RECORDS family now.“ The band states. “At the same time, we want to tell you that we have been busy and have made a new album for you which will be released on August 30th, 2024. Of course we also want to present the whole thing to you live. We will be going on tour with the mighty Asenblut starting at the end of August as support.”

About the song, the band tells us: “The song lyrics depict the endless suffering and despair of an individual trapped in a grueling cycle of living, dying, and repeating. The dark atmosphere is intensified by describing pain, torment, and unquenchable fire within the protagonist’s self.”

“Live.Die.Repeat” is out now on all digital streaming providers at https://deliverthegalaxy.bfan.link/livedierepeat

“Bury Your Gods” marks the third studio album by DELIVER THE GALAXY, who are hailing from the Harz region in Germany. The album was mixed and mastered by André Hofmann at Hofmann Studios, and delves deep into the world of pre-astronautics, introducing the exciting idea that humanity is not alone in the universe. It discusses the thesis that an alien race visited earth during the time of the ancient Sumerians and shared their knowledge and technology of various pyramid constructions.

Compared to their previous releases, the band adopted a heavier sound, offering listeners an intense musical experience, yet on some tracks showcasing the clear singing abilities of vocalist Matthias Mente for the very first time. One can be sure, “Bury Your Gods” will stand out as one of the most powerful albums the band has ever created! Pre-order your album copy now at https://lnk.to/buryyourgods

STINKY Storm Back with Latest Single ‘Down In The Dumps’, New Album Coming Later This Year

France’s STINKY – a metallic and at times melodic hardcore band – come back with a brand-new digital single “Down in the Dumps” from the group’s next album due at the end of the year. “Down in the Dumps” is currently available for streaming/download on all platforms, or watch the music video here:

After the catchy, pop-punk-tinged “Moonbow,” released last fall, the band reveals a new facet of their future album with “Down in the Dumps.” A darker track, with heavy rhythms and a subtle blend of violence and heady refrains.

“’Down in the Dumps’ deals with the throes of burnout and the long struggle to recover from it. With this new, more metal/modern hardcore-influenced track, the members of STINKY demonstrate their desire to explore new horizons, and promise a varied and ever more melodic album,” states drummer Paul.

Both “Moonbow” and “Down in the Dumps” come from the quintet’s fourth album, ‘Solace’ to be released in late 2024. Outside of the two-song digital EP ‘Resolve’ released in 2022, inspired and created during the pandemic, it’s been four years since STINKY released their full-length ‘Of Lost Things,’ praised by Outburn for its “solid melodic hardcore/punk that employs notes of Sick Of It All, Parkway Drive and Comeback Kid” while the UK’s Down For Life magazine praised it for its “monstrous anthems and full-on bangers.”

Since the core of drummer Paul and vocalist Clair have recruited 3 new members – Max on bass and Enzo and Clément on guitars but STINKY remain true to their original mission and sound while expanding the palette created. The group has been active playing shows all over France, including key festivals like Hellfest, Omega Sound Fest, Brut’fier, SidFest, WeMetal Fest, and Nantes Metal Fest as well as getting over to the UK for Manchester Punk Festival, alongside Hot Water Music, A Wilhelm Scream and Tsunami Bomb.

Since their formation a decade ago, STINKY has played more than 350 concerts across 15 different countries in support of their first three albums, 2015’s ‘Against Wind and Tide,’ 2017’s ‘From Dead-End Street,’ and 2020’s ‘Of Lost Things.’ While the band’s name might seem curious to some, their music – a combustible mix of energy and aggression that the UK’s Midlands Metalheads Radio says “makes you feel like you can headbutt through a brick wall” – unquestionably passes the test.

More new music and information from ‘Solace’ will be released in the months leading up to its release.

STINKY live:
6/27 – HELLFEST – France
sharing the stage w/ Body Count, Biohazard, Clawfinger, Harm’s Way

DIVERTED DISORDER Unleash Commanding New Single ‘Serpent Queen’

South Africa’s emerging metal powerhouse, Diverted Disorder, is thrilled to announce the release of their latest single, Serpent Queen. This explosive track is a precursor to their highly anticipated second album set to drop in the near future.

Buy and stream Serpent Queen at https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/diverteddisorder/serpent-queen

Formed officially in November 2022, Diverted Disorder has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in the metal scene. The band’s journey began with frontman Hardman Mills rediscovering his musical fervour, leading to a solo venture in his home studio. In collaboration with Jared Gunston in January 2021, Diverted Disorder was born, blending thrash metal with blues, death metal, and core elements to create a sound that defies conventional genres.

The evolution from a solo project to a full-fledged four-piece band in August 2022 marked a significant milestone. Their inaugural live performance on November 26, 2022, showcased the band’s unwavering dedication and passion.

Frontman Hardman Mills describes the inspiration behind “Serpent Queen”: “Pure anger… Lol.” The track’s message is a powerful reminder: “Don’t treat others like they are beneath you.” Mills elaborates on the approach taken to writing the song, saying, “I wanted to display as much anger as possible and make the track heavy as hell. I believe we have achieved that.”

The recording process was an intense and deeply personal experience for the band. “We recorded, mixed, and mastered it ourselves. Super proud of the team for all the hard work. So much more to come. We tend to work when we feel inspired; otherwise, music becomes production and then it loses its soul,” says Mills.

In just five words, Mills captures the essence of “Serpent Queen”: “Check out the brutal breakdown! 😝”

Their debut album, “Technical Difficulties,” released in November 2022, received acclaim for its raw exploration of personal and societal struggles. This album highlighted the band’s resilience and creativity, turning recording challenges into integral elements of their sound.

Looking ahead, Diverted Disorder is gearing up an upcoming UK tour in August which promises to expand their reach and influence, allowing them to connect directly with a growing fanbase.

Diverted Disorder’s thematic explorations continue to delve into personal struggles, societal challenges, and human experience, adding profound depth to their music.
