In support of today’s record release, EMBRYONIC AUTOPSY have shared a music video for final single “Cleopatra’s Spawn”! Vocalist Tim King reveals: “This song is based off the theory that the pyramids of Egypt were built in part by help from an alien culture. Diving further into that theory are the lyrics to the song that Cleopatra herself gave birth to alien babies upon breeding with the aliens that visited Egypt during those times. Musically the song has a very melodic and dark atmosphere to it, using clean guitar and spoken word vocals at times. The song features a fantastic solo by legendary guitarist James Murphy (ex-Death, ex-Obituary, ex-Testament).”

The band’s new material follows the sick and twisted lyrical style from Prophecies Of The Conjoined, and continues the story of the alien/human hybrid theory. Diving into more guts and gore than ever before, Origins Of The Deformed does not hold back lyrically. With song titles such as “Dissolving In Acidic Afterbirth”, “Orgies Of The Inseminated”, or “Dripping In The Vaginal Nectar”, EMBRYONIC AUTOPSY takes you on a grotesque filled journey of the senses. Musically, the band continues to bring the listener the raw and powerful sound they are known for, while adding in some extra twists and turns with elements of grindcore, Swedish death metal, brutal American death metal, and even moments using the vocal fry register.

EMBRYONIC AUTOPSY‘s new rager was produced and mixed by Scott Roberts, and was mastered by Ulrich Wild at the Wilderness Studios. Origins Of The Deformed features high class guest musicians, such as James Murphy, Jack Owen (Six Feet Under, ex-Cannibal Corpse, ex-Deicide) and Terrance Hobbs of Suffocation. Dark Remedy is thrilled to announce the release of their latest single, “Guilty As Charged” through Wake Up! Music Rocks. In conjunction with the EP announcement, the band is unleashing the first single and music video for the track To Kill a God – quite literally a shocking, lightning-charged performance. As frontman Fang VonWrathenstein explains: “As far as I’m aware, we’re the first band on earth to play the drums while getting hit by lightning. We sent over 100,000 volts of electricity through our drummer as he played, and as cool as it looks on video, it was absolutely breathtaking to see in real life…Good thing, too: getting shocked by those smaller Tesla coils on the front might not immediately kill you, but it would hurt pretty bad. The video concept stemmed from the band witnessing an EDM show that integrated massive homemade Tesla coils into the performance. Contacting the coil makers, the LORDS hatched a plan to take things to dangerous new heights by wiring up their drummer in a protective chainmail suit to withstand the colossal electric currents.

Strap in, magnificent souls, because we’re diving deep into the kaleidoscopic universe of STONED JESUS, trailblazers of the European psychedelic progressive rock scene. The ever-ambitious trio is re-issuing their groundbreaking albums, the monolithic Seven Thunders Roar (2012) and the revolutionary The Harvest (2015).

Forged in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2009 by singer-songwriter Igor Sydorenko, Stoned Jesus began as an audacious experiment. United by a shared passion for the almighty riff, seismic grooves, and boundless creativity, the band bulldozed their way through the barriers of the genre, crafting a legacy that has since become the stuff of modern mythology.

“After years of waiting we’re finally reissuing two of our most-beloved albums, the heavy prog stalwart The Harvest and the already-legendary psychedelic classic Seven Thunders Roar!” Sydorenko states. “It’s funny now to think how surprised people were hearing The Harvest for the first time – a lot of them possibly expected Seven Thunders Part Two, but as a songwriter I’d never been into repeating myself. And with Seven Thunders, what else could I say about this overlooked-then-and-praised-now record, its importance and influence for the genre?

“This was our first release with our then-manager, Vlad Lyashenko, the man who helped to shape the Ukrainian rock and metal underground into the force it is today. Both reissues are dedicated to his memory, since he passed away last year – hauntingly, on the very same day we’d released our fifth album, Father Light. MIASMIC SERUM Premiere “Infected Seed” Debut LP, Out Now

Italian death metal trio MIASMIC SERUM present the official album premiere for their massive debut album, “Infected Seed”, released on June 14th 2024 via their new label homes of Night Terrors Records (tape) and Chaos Records (CD format).

The album is streaming in its entirety at No Clean Singing.

MIASMIC SERUM is an old-school death metal power trio born in late 2022, between Venice and Treviso, Italy. The band’s style takes inspiration from early 90’s American death metal, leading to a viperous sound that is conceptually related to poisoning, intoxication on the whole, toxic plants, animal venoms, and even personal previous psycho-nautical experiences. In fact, ‘Miasmic Serum’ stands for an unhealthy exhalation of a serum, which can be identified in the animal and plant kingdoms. Two entwined snakes in the band logo depict the Caduceus symbol, which represents a lethal dose, and the therapeutic one.

All lyrics in “Infected Seed” take inspiration from various realms and cultures, including personal experiences in the world of psychonautics, revisited with Aldous Huxley and Terence Mckenna’s literary works, between dystopian fiction and psychedelic culture, which is also based on the main use of sacred plants. Furthermore, other major analyzed themes are the Eleusinian mysteries of Ancient Greece and the shamanic traditions of the peoples of South America.

MIASMIC SERUM‘s musical style is poised and pure: guttural but clearly enunciated vocals, catchy blastbeat sections, multiple tempo changes without losing sight of classic songwriting, vicious atmospheres and speed-shredding riffs and solos that harken to the earliest days of the genre.

The single “Mortal Training”, features guest vocals from Jason Netherton of MISERY INDEX, while the title track “Infected Seed” features guest vocals from Fiore Stravino of FULCI.

The album artwork and illustration are designed by the Colombian artist Julian Mora Ibañez.

Former Blues Pills Guitarist DORIAN SORRIAUX Launches New Solo Album “Children of the Moon”

Dorian Sorriaux has launched his studio recorded album “Children of the Moon” on The Sign Records. Best known for being the lead guitarist of Blues Pills for 6 years, Dorian has toured extensively all around Europe and Australia with Blue Pills playing some of the biggest European Festivals like Rock Am Ring, Hellfest, Download, Rock Werchter, Wacken, Roskilde, Sweden Rock, and opening for bands such as Deep Purple, John Fogerty, Rival Sons, and Europe. He was featured on the list of the “25 players who are changing guitar” in the Australian Guitar magazine in 2013, and also appeared on the list of Total Guitar’s “best new guitarist” in 2014. He released several EP’s, two studio albums and two live albums before leaving the band in 2018.

Now focusing on his solo project, Dorian creates beautiful singer-songwriter and psychedelic folk music inspired by the artists of the 60s and 70s, such as Neil Young, Nick Drake, and Van Morrison. As a solo artist, Dorian has opened up for Myles Kennedy, Rival Sons, Colter Wall, Mikael Ramel, The Picturebooks. Besides this, he did a German and Austrian tour together with the Swedish band Black River Delta.

His new album “Children of the Moon” was recorded at ZF Prod studio in Brittany, France throughout 2021, mixed by Don Alsterberg (José Gonzalez, Junip, Graveyard, Blues Pills), and mastered by Hans Olsson (Bombus, Spiders, The Soundtrack of Our Lives) in Sweden.

Many young players look to the guitar heroes of the 60s and 70s for inspiration, but very few are able to channel their influences as mesmerizingly as Dorian Sorriaux. When the young French guitarist burst onto the scene with rockers Blues Pills, he displayed an incredible maturity and expressiveness as a musician that was captured on their 2014 self-titled debut. Comparisons with legendary bluesmen Peter Green and Paul Kossoff weren’t hyperbole; you could hear their quality in Dorian’s playing touch. Following the success of Blues Pills’ second album Lady In Gold (2016), Dorian Sorriaux revealed surprising new depths to his talent as a singer / songwriter with his debut solo EP Hungry Ghost. The EP received wonderful reviews and allowed Dorian to tour all over Europe as a solo act opening for Myles Kennedy. He now reveals a much more personal style of music and songwriting with his new record Children of the Moon.
