Finnish death metal band Erase This Earth are set to release a new EP ‘Horror Unearthed’ on October 15th 2026 via Inverse Records.

Erase This Earth is a death metal group from Tampere, Finland est. 2017. The band was born when the guitarist and primary songwriter Mikko Niskanen invited mutual long-time friends Heikki Mäki (vocals) and Antti Ohtonen (guitar), and decided to form a band as an outlet for their heavier riff ideas. Following some years of playing more casually and getting a full-time drummer Matias Rokio onboard, a proper production was started at 2021 with the release of debut single ‘In Their Name’. Right after their first release, ETE played their first gig and completed the lineup with Janne Pihlajaniemi (bass). The band’s first EP ‘Signs’ was released in the spring of 2022 and was followed with a single release ‘Out of Time’ that has enjoyed some attention even internationally. 

Musically, Erase This Earth combines the elements of melodic death metal with a hint of tech and progressive styles that mirror the main composers’ personal preferences and musical backgrounds. This keeps the discography fairly diverse with songs ranging from straight warp-speed barrages to more progressive works such as ‘Signs’.

One of the album’s more imposing pieces, “Narcissistic God” further reveals the band’s increasingly developed approach to songwriting, combining crushing doom-laden passages with a suffocating death metal weight and a strong sense of progression.

Deeply rooted in death-doom metal, the record broadens the group’s sonic palette through a more developed approach to songwriting, without losing the weight and darkness that have always defined their sound. Conceived as a conceptual work, the album follows a process of transformation that moves from inner decay to complete propagation, blending biological imagery with reflections on identity, inevitability and the cyclical nature of existence. This narrative framework gives the album a strong sense of continuity, shaping a journey rather than a simple collection of individual tracks.

Musically, MORBID STENCH combine crushing slow-paced sections, oppressive atmospheres and carefully crafted arrangements, balancing immediacy and depth. With “Doom Metástasis”, the band expands its vision while remaining faithful to the raw spirit of Central American death-doom metal.

Formed in 2014 by veteran musicians The Master Butcher (Costa Rica), Morbid and Purulent (El Salvador), MORBID STENCH was created to explore the darkest and most putrid side of doom metal, enriched by a strong death metal influence. With all members active in the extreme metal scene since the early ’90s, the band combines crushing heaviness, oppressive atmospheres and rotten melodies, drawing inspiration from the forgotten swamps of Central America.

Their debut EP “The Stench of Doom” was released in 2016 on cassette through Morbid Skull Recs (El Salvador) and Till You Fukkin Bleed (Poland), quickly selling out and followed by a short tour in El Salvador and Guatemala with CONCEIVED BY HATE. In 2017, the band released the split 7” EP “The Bifid Tongue of Doom & Death” with Costa Rican death metal act NECROGOD.

The debut full-length “Doom & Putrefaction” arrived in 2019 through Putrid Cult, Morbid Skull Recs and other international labels, receiving strong feedback from the underground scene. This was followed by the split 7” EP “Ghospels of Necromancy” with Dutch death metal band ANARCHOS in 2020, and the second album “The Rotting Ways of Doom” in 2022, further establishing the band’s reputation among doom/death enthusiasts.

Despite the members now living in three different countries, the creative chemistry within MORBID STENCH remains intact. The songwriting process begins with Morbid composing and recording guitar and bass parts at his “Víspera del Demonio” studio in San Salvador, creating raw demo versions that are shared with the band for feedback and development. Purulent then works on the drum arrangements, while The Master Butcher completes the songs with his lyrics and vocal performances.

In 2026, MORBID STENCH will release their third full-length album, “Doom Metástasis”, a conceptual work that continues the band’s exploration of decay, darkness and the oppressive atmosphere of their signature doom/death metal.

DECONSEKRATED is an occult death metal band hailing from the cold, rain-soaked south of Chile. Founded in 2020 by guitarist Agorh Skullptor, the project initially began as the vision of three like-minded “black souls” before evolving into a full five-piece lineup. The band’s music explores themes of death, the desecration of Christian dogma, and spiritual transmutation, translating these concepts into a dark and uncompromising sonic identity.

The band has shared the stage with renowned acts such as Master, Malevolent Creation, and Morta Skuld, while also performing in Argentina and at the now legendary Ossum Total Death Festival in Mexico City. Danish progressive metal visionaries KINETIC return with a dark, cinematic music video for “Dyson,” the striking second single from their upcoming conceptual album, Liminal, slated for release via Eclipse Records on October 16, 2026. Directed by Marcus H. Levin, the music video serves as an immersive psychological journey, plunging viewers into a labyrinth of human isolation, self-induced paranoia, and fractured memories. Blending the atmospheric depth of bands like Tool, Deftones, and Pink Floyd, KINETIC establishes a gripping narrative where the boundaries between objective reality and internal perception completely dissolve.  “Dyson” is the second of three music videos from the band’s debut full-length album Liminal, which will be released on October 16, 2026 via rock and metal record label Eclipse Records.

“We chose Dyson as a music video because it is one of the album’s most immediately accessible songs” explains keyboardist Marcus. “At times, the audience is immersed in the central character’s distorted perception of reality; at others they observe him from an external perspective. Throughout the video, the protagonist is persistently haunted by an unseen presence – a manifestation of his own paranoia, inner struggles and unresolved emotions rather than a physical threat. The result is a visual journey that blurs the line between reality and perception, reflecting the psychological themes at the heart of the song, which is that many of humanity’s greatest struggles and conflicts originate from within ourselves. The message is a reflection on whether we can overcome those internal conflicts, step outside our own perspectives, and learn to see ourselves and each other more objectively.”

The modern progressive metal landscape thrives on ambition, yet few emerging acts possess the audacity to anchor a debut full-length album to the literal measurement of cosmic civilization. Arriving on October 16, 2026, via Eclipse Records, Liminal represents a massive sonic leap forward from their well-received 2025 debut EP, Sentience. KINETIC has crafted a 106 minute masterwork that balances technical precision with expansive, atmospheric depth, signaling the arrival of a major new force in the international metal community. Liminal functions as a classic conceptual album, bound together by a coherent, overarching storyline that connects the first note of the opening track to the final fading echoes of the grand finale. Musically and lyrically, the band draws inspiration from the Kardashev Scale, a theoretical framework proposed by astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev that measures the technological advancement of a civilization based on the amount of energy it can harness. Rather than conforming to predictable, verse-chorus modern song structures, KINETIC focuses heavily on cinematic arrangements and long-form compositions.
