After a whirlwind of high velocity singles that included the first ever song released on a slice of pizza, a viral moment with famed bald headed music critic and a vast conspiracy theory involving Garth Brooks, Louisville thrash metalheads, BELUSHI SPEED BALL have at last released their massively anticipated new album Stellkira now!

Commenting on the monumental release, lead vocalist Vinny Crastellano says:

“As a wise man once said, ‘The cream will rise to the top.’ We are so proud to present the world with our Seventeenth Chapel, Stellkira. The greatest generic crossover pizza thrash album to feature a catorcycle on the cover. An unrelenting disasterpiece that is guaranteed to make you forget all about your stay at Saltburn. This truly is our favorite musical composition to date. And we know it will be yours too! You can’t make the scene if you don’t got the green.”

Featuring the standout tracks “My Favorite Color Is Pizza,” “This Is The Peak” and “Garth, Let My Family Go,” Stellkira is a relentless, unbridled, aural assaulting thrill ride of thrash chaos that’s chock full of ludicrous lyrics and absolutely punishing riffs.

Reserve your table at metal’s Chuck E. Cheese and grab a piping hot slice of Stellkira from one of the best bands in pizza thrash game to do it!

About BELUSHI SPEED BALL:

Belushi Speed Ball is a Kentucky-based band founded in 2013 as a studio project amongst friends with a penchant for cliché crossover thrash. Their first live performances came soon after, enthralling a rapidly growing fanbase with a uniquely interactive brand of theatrics and unorthodox approach to releases and merch.

Dubbed “one of the funniest fucking things I have heard this year” by The Needle Drop’s Anthony Fantano, Belushi Speed Ball are inspired by bands from Toxic Holocaust and Anthrax to Gwar and Municipal Waste, to whom they simultaneously play homage and satirize a mean comment from a fan in their song “Ripping off Municipal Waste”, which was voted one of Leo Magazine’s top 20 songs of 2022. With a reputation for both trashing venues and meticulously cleaning them up after each individually themed performance, Belushi Speed Ball are masters of executing the unthinkable.  From playing out of a Mad Max-esque moving van and starting Terminator-inspired 300-person Nerf gun fights to releasing entire albums in N64… or Furby… formats, nothing is sacred as they continue evolving as, in the words of Metalsucks, “a freakshow of blistering thrash dedicated to laughing its ass off at blistering thrash.”

This year, Belushi Speed Ball are readier than ever to keep that momentum going, with yet another album mastered to perfection by Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust, as well as a host of festival appearances, tours, and merch set to drop over the months to come.

Belushi Speed Ball Lineup:

Vinny Crastellano – Vocals
Jamison Land – Guitar
Derrek Tipton – Guitar
Tony Hazelip – Bass
Daniel Neel – Drums

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: HALCYON WAY. Leave a comment

Progressive heavy metallers HALCYON WAY (based in Atlanta, GA) unleash a brand new song off their forthcoming EP “Night Crawling”, due out May 31st on Agonia Records. The track can be found on streaming platforms, and on YouTube, below.

“Insufferable” on Spotify, Apple Music etc.: https://orcd.co/arep027s2

“Like just about every band out there, the pandemic was a huge kick in the dick for Halcyon Way, and we had a lot of tours canceled or postponed,” comments guitarist Jon Bodan. “We had a period of serious writer’s block that we finally punched through and we’re hard at work on a new record for a 2024 release. However, we decided to have some fun recording a cover version of Night Crawling by Miley Cyrus and we decided to release an EP with that as well as 2 more tracks. So we hope you enjoy the new tunes and we will see you on the road soon!”

HALCYON WAY is the ultimate example of blue-collar work ethic, self-reliant bootstrapping, and hard work & perseverance in spite of nearly insurmountable odds. The award winning band has released four albums worldwide, performed on 4 continents, and about 20 countries and counting. The band has toured extensively with the likes of Saxon, Sabaton, Queensryche, Fates Warning, Fozzy, Skid Row, U.D.O., Delain, Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime and most recently Metal Church (2018’s North American tour). HALCYON WAY‘s sound cannot be neatly slotted into any sub-category of metal. It can be described as heavy, catchy, technical, progressive and above all, focused on strong songcraft. From Megadeth to Dream Theater, to Testament and Chimaira – HALCYON WAY draws influences & inspiration from many metal bands. Their last installment – 2018’s “Bloody But Unbowed” – pleased the fans with a magnitude of catchy hooks, vocal harmonies a la King’s X or Stryper, and heavy, technical, yet ultimately accessible instrumentation.

The new EP “Night Crawling” was mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis (Whitechapel, Trivium, Bad Wolves). The song “Night Crawling” was mixed by Zach Householder.

Tracklisting:
1. Night Crawling (Miley Cyrus cover)
2. Insufferable
3. Stand for Something

Line-up:
Steve Braun – vocals
Jon Bodan – lead guitars, backing vocals, programming
Max Eve – rhythm guitars

New Munster, Wisconsin’s hard rock sensation, THE ALMAS, has unleashed their latest single, “Lifeline,” to the world today through Wake Up! Music Rocks. Accompanying this electrifying single is a visually captivating music video that perfectly complements the intensity of the track.

Helmed by Kile Odell, who lends his expertise as producer, mixer, and mastering engineer, “Lifeline” achieves a pristine sonic quality that sets it apart in the contemporary rock landscape.

“It’s a banger! Sick riffs and awesome licks. ‘Lifeline’ was the first song written in the studio to start us in our new Era. This is the song we’ve been waiting this entire release cycle for,” says Frank when talking about the single.

STREAM “Lifeline” at https://www.almastheband.com/lifeline

The band’s vocalist Crystal adds, “Our most explosive video yet! “Lifeline” is everything we dreamed it would be. We are strong advocates for mental health awareness, as well as supporting our veterans through Rock 2 Stop 22, so we wanted this song and music video to reflect that support. The camera work alone by Austin, mixed with Spencer’s creative eye for VFX and editing came together perfectly to execute this vision.”

The video was directed by Austin Scherzberg. VFX + Editing was provided by Spencer Olsøn of Olsøn Studios.

The band will be heading overseas on their first U.K. tour in July! Details to be announced soon!

The Almas are an all original female-fronted hard rock band hailing from New Munster, Wisconsin with an extensive tour history and multiple Active Rock Radio charting singles. Through guitar driven licks, road dog attitudes, and a high energy, professional live performance, The Almas showcase the truest essence of Rock n’ Roll with a modern twist! After working with Kile Odell [#1 Active Rock charting producer], The Almas are able to bring their vision to life on their newest EP The Almas II. The first single “Cage” off the EP took to radio in February 2023 and swiftly shot into the Top 10 on the Mainstream/Active Rock Radio SMR charts, with their next radio release of “Crowns” following suit into the #18 spot.

In 2023 alone, the band covered over 40,000 miles across the United States and just over 120 shows.

“The existence of this band has always been about helping each other” Frank explains, “whether it’s through inspiration, a positive message, or simply creating a fun, entertaining environment where people can get away from life’s problems.”

Since forming in 2016, the band has released a self-titled EP and two full length albums Back To Bad and Truth Sells. In promotion of their new music, the band has been able to perform with artists such as Saliva, Slipknot, Ice Nine Kills, Falling In Reverse, Buckcherry, Royal Bliss, Saving Abel, Eva Under Fire, and tour with Smile Empty Soul.

RISE OF KRONOS Release New Single ‘Olympic Warmachine’

German death metallers RISE OF KRONOS released their brand new single “Olympic Warmachine“. The song is taken from the new album Where The Gods Return, which will be released on August 2nd.

Singer and guitarist Tom states:
”Olympic Warmachine is about discovering your own abilities, your own strength. It’s a song of encouragement in retrospect. My 16-year-old self wouldn’t have analysed it the same way, but when we re-release the song today, I fully stand behind the motivational nature of the song. Back then, I was fighting this battle with myself. The battle of my own dissatisfaction with myself. I’m sure many people can relate to that. The music gave me a lot of support along the way. So, it’s much less about a “real” battle than a battle with yourself. Challenging yourself and taking one step at a time – on the way to become an “Olympic Warmachine” yourself.”

“Olympic Warmachine” is out now on all major streaming platforms.

About the band:

RISE OF KRONOS was born in 2021 from a former band called Surface. After 11 years of hard work, countless concerts, three records and a lot of sweat, blood and tears Surface decided to start a new chapter. As they were (and are) close friends, they wanted to stay together but walk a new, even more, professional path. They needed to stand up and – finally – take each and every fan with them to Olympus. The decision for a new name was born quite early on their journey to a new concept. Somehow Surface did not fit to the music anymore and had to be replaced, but on the other hand, those four friends want to keep the link to their 11 years of music and their amazingly loyal fans – to their so-called Titans. Consequently, they named themselves after their 2015 released record “Rise Of Kronos”. RISE OF KRONOS is a hymn of praise to the past years, their fans as well as a brand-new concept with a new image and new musical influences. Dark, modern and straightforward death metal with the tendency to progressive metal, Swedish death and hardcore – this is what RISE OF KRONOS stands for. Combining Greek mythology and an impulsive live show, they are ready to take the lead to Olympus – now.

RISE OF KRONOS are:

Tom Robinson – Guitar, Vocals
Tim Broscheit – Bass,Vocals
Jhonnie Ritter – Guitar
Marco Bechreiner – Drums

BOKASSA about the new album “All Out of Dreams”:
“All Out Of Dreams is an album where the feeling of resignation is present on several of the album’s tracks. Whether it deals with one’s own failures, maybe you feel the system failed you, perhaps because of failed government policies, or that you’ve just given up on it all.

The common denominator is that everyone you encounter, or hear from in the lyrics have lost hope, which is something the album’s title – All Out Of Dreams – alludes to.

The name of the album could also be seen as a direct reference to our own career, and the dream of owning our own private island in the Pacific. Unfortunately the masses have yet to develop good taste in music, so that dream is rather non-existent at this time.”

ABOUT BOKASSA
BOKASSA have made a name for themselves with their brand of hard-hitting, melodic, catchy punk and stoner rock, right from their attention-getting, first full length, Divide & Conquer (2017). During the Worldwired tour with METALLICA (for which they were handpicked by Lars Ulrich), the band released the critically acclaimed Crimson Riders (2019). In 2020, they followed up by releasing a digital EP, Live At The BBC, from their BBC Radio 1 live session at London’s legendary Maida Vale studio, and were nominated for a Norwegian Grammy as “Breakthrough Of The Year”. In 2021, BOKASSA won the Norwegian “Bendiksprisen” award and released their explosive third album Molotov Rocktail.

With extensive further touring under their belt with the likes of Mastodon, Baroness, and Judas Priest and Therapy?, not to mention performing at some of the world’s biggest festivals (Wacken, Hellfest, Download, Rockfest, Øya, Stavern, Tons of Rock and more), BOKASSA have continued to capture the hearts and minds of thousands across the world.
