To celebrate the success of their freshly released sophomore full-length, operatic black metal rising stars FOLTERKAMMER are now sharing a detailed track by track breakdown for ”Weibermacht’ in a brand new clip! Frontwoman Andromeda Anarchia takes a deep dive into the album’s taboo themes of domination, fetishism, and the courageous men who submit themselves to strong women, the special guest appearances, the meanings behind some of the German expressions, the folklore inspirations behind the record’s themes, and so much more! The 10-minute video can be found at THIS LOCATION.

‘Weibermacht’ serves as a counterpart to the band’s 2020 debut, ‘Die Lederpredigt.’ The new record is another searing blend of modern black metal and classical music elements, lending to its Avant Garde sound. The music itself is elevated by frontwoman and vocalist Andromeda Anarchia’s dynamic vocal work as she juxtaposes her classical training as an opera singer with her hellfire screams, summoning a maelstrom of ethereal chaos.

The record is available HERE.

The album artwork for ‘Weibermacht’ was created by Eliran Kantor.

Here’s what the press is saying about ‘Weibermacht!’

“Part Nina Hagen, part Joan Sutherland, part Diamanda Galás, Anarchia’s four octave range really is something to behold as she hits notes with precision and perfect clarity, and conjures tortured, inhuman shrieks like an enraged banshee.” – Ghost Cult Magazine (9/10)

“…Anarchia’s vocal gymnastics of unhinged vocal screams, aggressive dominatrix presence in her commanding voice, and just overall progressive and vibrant vocals.” – This Day in Metal (9.5/10)

“…this record will leave listeners quivering, shaking, maybe a little aroused.” – Meat, Mead, Metal

“Folterkammer should be at the top of every extreme metal fanatic’s list of bands to watch as they leave their grim mark on the pages of heavy metal history.” – The Metal Mayan

“There is not enough praise in the world to give for how special and creatively masterminded the music of Folterkammer truly is. For beautiful songs that are as dark and raw as an old troll’s cave in the winter’s night, Cryptic Rock gives Weibermacht 5 out of 5 stars.” – Cryptic Rock (5/5)

“Folterkammer are not your typical symphonic black metal band, with Weibermacht showing a unique approach and flawless execution.” – Heavy Music HQ (4/5)

“[Andromeda] is a tour-de-force, no two ways about it, a hellcat in nine-inch heels who will purr with contentment as she licks your blood from underneath her fingernails.” – New Noise Magazine (3/5)

“The darkly erotic Weibermacht is the band’s second album, and it’s a breathtaking blend of jagged black metal riffage and piercing operatic vocals.” – Bandcamp Daily

This summer, on June 14, 2024, Paris-based alternative rock and metal unit ONLAP will release their brand new, much-awaited studio album “Waves” via AFM Records! The pre-sale is available at https://onlap.bfan.link/waves, a music video for the band’s latest single, “Ghosts” featuring US rockers LANSDOWNE, is now premiering below!

Following a series of previously-released album tracks including “Never Too Late”, featuring a guest appearance by Billboard-charting singer and songwriter KIIARA, the French five-piece is writing about their new single:

“Ghosts” is a special release on several counts. Firstly, it’s our last single release before the full album “WAVES”. Secondly, it’s also a collaboration with our old brothers LANSDOWNE, whom we’d like to thank for agreeing to be on this track. Finally, it’s a song about the loss of loved ones and the life that goes on despite everything, with and without them, at the same time. This song exudes a special emotion, and we can’t wait to unveil it.”

Stream “Ghosts” –  out now on all digital providers at https://onlap.bfan.link/ghosts

ONLAP was formed in 2006, driven by a full DIY-spirit. Since years, each song they self-released has been ruling Social Media platforms and playlists, with a fan base growing day by day (with 380k monthly Spotify listeners and 115k YouTube subscribers to name just a few numbers) and a cross-platform streaming performance of more than 150 million streams. “The Awakening”, the band’s top hit on Spotify, reckons with 23M streams only to this impressive hoard of facts.

With their signing to AFM Records and as first single releases instantly prove, ONLAP have never felt more vibrant and hungry than they are on their upcoming album “Waves”. After all those years self-releasing a giant number of tracks, some EP’s, and a Best-Of in celebration of their 15th band anniversary, ONLAP have been hard at work to finally unleash their full-length offering containing 10 colossal, new tracks. According to the band, “Waves” will be a collection of their musical history, roots and recent influences, and will mark the most ambitious offering ONLAP has achieved in their career to date. Coming this June on AFM Records, one can be sure: ONLAP are going to make “Waves”!

Album Tracklist:

VICOLO INFERNO Unveil New Single ‘The Gift’ from Upcoming Album “Circles”, Out May 31st

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 5, 2024

Rockshots Records is proud to present VICOLO INFERNO‘s new single taken from their third studio “Circles” coming out May 31st!

The new single is called “The Gift”, which the band is presenting today, is an uptempo song with catchy melodies. “The Gift” is a “fantasy” song concerning the moon which observes the evolution of the human race wondering if they are ready to receive “The Gift” which is the allegory of death.

Listen to “The Gift” at https://lnk.to/FJ6QPe

“Circles” like its predecessor dances among various colors of the soul, from the most intimate and convoluted to the angry, to the amused and ironic. The track listing was chosen to guide the listener through a journey. The writing process for this record has been consolidated for years, although somewhat against the current.

“We are “romantic supporters” of songwriting in the rehearsal room. We always start from a vocal line or a guitar riff, and if there is inspiration, the first version is laid down, which is then refined and shaped over time like a piece of wood by a sculptor.” adds the band

Originally producing about 20 tracks, they widdled it down to the presenting 10 songs on the album, those not selected will be used for a future release. Vicolo Inferno hopes that those who listen to this sonic exploration from start to finish will feel the introspective expressions while understanding their interpretation of social criticisms, fantasies, and telling of comical experiences they have lived through as a band. An example track is “Gummy Bears” which is about soaking Gummy Bear candy in vodka which is a fun backstage tradition for them with friends and fans.

They also add about this next full-length:

“It is said that the third album is canonically the one of awareness; it is certainly the one in which we put more care into arranging the songs, where we experimented with some stylistic figures never used by us before, both in music and in singing. For once, we would like to venture to say that we think it is our best album (although it is always difficult to say which child you love most) for ideas and execution, but as always, the hope is to reach the audience, which will be the judge in deciding whether our feelings hit the mark or not.”

Recommended for fans of Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, and Black Stone Cherry “Circles” is due out on May 31, 2024, and is available for digital pre-save plus CD pre-orders at the following links below:

VIOLET ETERNAL Unleash Debut Album “Reload The Violet”, Out Now, Feat. Many Guests

Out now on Rockshots Records, Violet Eternal unveils their debut album “Reload The Violet”. Born out of the desire of two musicians from Italy and Japan to work with each other in creating a new melodic metal band, Violet Eternal blends power, and oriental choruses with fast-paced rhythms and interpersonal lyrics, with the ambiance of shredding guitar solos. Band co-founder and guitarist Jien Takahashi comments:

“I wanted to create the ultimate melodic power metal duo after MAJUSTICE and other activities, I was hungry for new music. There were a lot of songs at the end of the previous activity, so I was looking for a way to shape it. In such a situation, I met Ivan Giannini online. I originally knew Ivan from his legendary work with VISION DIVINE and the album “Angel of Revenge” and his other band Derdian. I was completely fascinated by his emotional voice that seemed to burn the skies. So I was wishing I could do something with him. When I got in touch with Ivan, we immediately hit it off and we decided to make an album together.”

After connecting with vocalist Ivan Giannini, Jien made a call to a mutual friend Ollie Bernstein (Illusion Force, Magic Opera) who he had a feeling would be interested in joining the duo in creating an album together plus he was also playing bass in Derdian, which Ivan was a member of too.

Not too soon after, more pieces to the project came together when the trio recruited Andrea Cappellari (Nekomata and former guitarist for Skeletoon).

With all the members collected, and music being written, the band was ready to hit the studio and decided to team up with producer Dennis Ward (Angra, Helloween) for their first full-length album “Reload The Violet”. The album also features guests Takao (MinstreliX), Gabriel Guardian (IMMORTAL GUARDIAN), keyboardist YUHKI, drummer Ryuya Inoue, and Timo Tolkki (ex-STRATOVARIUS).

“From the time of production, Ivan and I were convinced that this album would be a game changer. I think it’s a work that people who love melodic metal will enjoy. If you listen to the music of VIOLET ETERNAL when you feel down, you will surely feel cheerful with a hot feeling. Our music will give you the courage. This album strikes hard with both powerful vocals and a perfect mix of oriental melodic metal and emotional vocals.” says Jien Takahashi.

Recommended for fans of Stratovarius, Beast In Black, and Angra, Violet Eternal‘s debut album “Reload The Violet” is available as of May 3, 2024, from Rockshots Records.

THE KILLERFREAKS Unleash New Masterpiece “Spaghetti Horror and Rotten Stuff”, Out Now

“Spaghetti Horror and Rotten Stuff” is online!!! THE KILLERFREAKS‘ new masterpiece is out now!!!! Starting yesterday, May 3rd, you can crank up your stereo system to savor all the adrenaline the band delivers with this exciting new album! Find precisely the album, on all the best music stores worldwide, on Wanikiya Record’s Japanese shop and on showcase on Crashsound Distribution!

The Killerfreaks are a Horrorpunk-metal band from Varese, active live since 2004. They are distinguished by a very flashy look, drawing inspiration mainly from artists such as Kiss, Misfits and Death SS. Their songs are fiercely disengaged, consisting of an energetic sound and shifting from classic heavy melodies to thrash metal outbursts, up to more 80s Twisted Sister-esque “anthems,” with explicit lyrics, mainly dedicated to horror movies, always seasoned with a healthy dose of irony, sarcasm and references to 80s Pop culture. Over the years, they self-produce several demos and two albums, “Flesh, Blood & Rott’n’Roll” (2013) and “A Load of Rott’n’Roll” (2017). In 2014 they recorded with Ul Mik, “Dai, dai l’è tardi,” a cover of “Die, die my Darling,” for Longobardeath’s album “Old Time Balabiott.” In 2024 they signed with Wanikiya Record (Blaze Bayley, Timo Tolkki, Pino Scotto…) and released “Spaghetti Horror and Rotten Stuff,” recorded and mixed by Steve Volta. Although they have always stayed away from agencies and record labels, preferring the “do it yourself” method, they play over 200 live shows in clubs, motor gatherings, clubhouses and various festivals such as the Loud and Proud, RockInnSomma, Wings of Bea Metalfest, etc… opening for bands of the thickness of Domine, Strana Officina, Ancillotti, becoming for fans a true cult band niche. In 2008 they played backing act to The Crimson Ghosts, godfathers of Teutonic Horrorpunk. Mephisto, the frontman, is also a top wrestler for Total Combat Wrestling, as well as a comic book artist. Among his works, he recently drew the comic book “Nocticula – Resurrection,” as merchandising coupled with the release of “Revenge” by Nocticula Resurget, a band of Boris Hunter, former drummer of Death SS (In Death of Steve Sylvester and Black Mass).

Mephisto – vocals
Mr. Hyde – bass guitar – backing vocals
Five – Guitar
Capt. Cyanide – Guitar, backing vocals
Floyd – Drums
