Paul Di’Anno speaking about his new album, “Paul Di’Anno’s Warhorse is my first studio project after many years of being away from the studio and not performing. I remember when we announced that we were recording an album in Croatia with completely unknown musicians, many were shocked and no one knew in which direction we would go. Warhorse exudes pure energy and reflects everything I went through while recording the album.”
Hrvoje Madiraca adds, “This record is a product of hard work combined with the voice of the man, the myth and the legend of our dear Wrathchild! Old school metal you want. That s what you’ll get!”
Ante Pupacic, known as “Pupi” continues, “When it comes to music, I’ve done all sorts of things, but I’m particularly proud of this album. Two years of work, composing, arranging, recording, editing, deleting, and so on. We went through all kinds of emotions, from euphoria to agony. Each song was carefully polished to achieve its current form. On the album, everyone added their touch, both Hrvoje and I, in terms of lyrics, music, and production, all ennobled by the powerful vocals of our legend, Paul Di’Anno.”

About Paul Di’Anno’s Warhorse:
The core of the band and founders are Paul Di’Anno, vocals, Hrvoje Madiraca, guitar and Ante Pupačić Pupi, guitar.
Paul Andrews, a British singer better known by his stage name Paul Di’Anno, his nearly half-century-long career began explosively with Iron Maiden, when with the EP ‘The Soundhouse Tapes’, and the albums ‘Iron Maiden’ and ‘Killers ‘ forever cemented the foundations of heavy metal. With timeless hits like ‘Iron Maiden’, ‘Remember Tomorrow’, ‘Running Free’, ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Killers’, ‘Wratchild’, Murders in the Rue Morgue’, ‘Purgatory’ etc., they influenced numerous musicians and bands and were responsible for the creation or development of many subgenres in metal music.
Paul is known as one of the most productive singers, who has a huge number of albums and other releases behind him, either as a solo artist or a member of bands such as Gogmagog, Di’Anno’s Battlezone, Praying Mantis, Killers, Rockfellas, Architects of Chaoz or Warhorse. In all his incarnations, Paul always knew how to find a way to the fans, with numerous hits, uncompromising singing, which is confirmed by his successful career and furious live shows around the world.
For the last eight years, Paul faced serious health problems that almost ended his career, but thanks to his loyal fans, friends, Iron Maiden and his strong will to overcome the disease, Paul is on a big world tour again, and he recorded a new album with the Paul D’Anno’s Warhorse band, which will be released in mid-2024 for BraveWords Records, a new label, which is also an integral part of one of the most strongest brands in heavy metal music.
This icon of heavy metal with the heart of a punk rock rebel never spared himself in his life, but he always gave everything for music and fans, which is why they have followed him faithfully for almost fifty years.
Warhorse is the original band/project of Paul Di’Anno. The first idea of forming a band arose in December 2021, when Paul and guitarist Hrvoje Madiraca met in Zagreb, Croatia. The formation and naming of this project happened simultaneously with the writing and recording of new songs, which were started immediately after Paul and Hrvoje joined hands and thus formed the band. Warhorse independently released the DVD single ‘Stop the War’ in a limited edition of 666 copies and sold it out in just a few days. This was followed by the fantastic ‘Stop the War’ lyrics video, which delighted fans around the world. The Warhorse project gathered fantastic guest musicians on some songs, and a video will be filmed for almost every song on the album. The core of the band itself is the three ‘horsemen’ Paul Di’Anno – vocals, Hrvoje Madiraca – guitars and Ante Pupačić Pupi – Guitars. Fans at Warhorse live shows can expect a live explosion, musical virtuosos and a top stage attraction. Paul Di’Anno in the stadium edition, would be the most appropriate description. Warhorse is a parallel band to his classic ‘Paul Di’Anno’ line-up and unlike his standard set list, Warhorse concerts will abound with Warhorse songs, with the addition of Iron Maiden classics and special, unexpected covers chosen by Paul Di’Anno.
Québec black metal horde SPECTRAL WOUND is pleased to reveal that their fourth studio album, ‘Songs Of Blood and Mire,’ will be released on August 23, 2024 via Profound Lore Records. To celebrate this revelation, the band is now unleashing the visceral first single from the offering, “Aristocratic Suicidal Black Metal.” The song can be heard at THIS LOCATION.
Spectral Wound play black metal. Furious and visceral, untrammelled by esoteric posture or grasping idealism. It is music for the poisoned, the futile, the debauched and profane. The blooming of a flower of corruption, torn by cold winds.
Spectral Wound play black metal. Furious and visceral, untrammelled by esoteric posture or grasping idealism. It is music for the poisoned, the futile, the debauched and profane. The blooming of a flower of corruption, torn by cold winds.
Following the raw early offering of Terra Nullius (Arcane Angels/Out of Season 2015) Spectral Wound continued their path of creeping, opulent decay and searing melody, weaving strands of Métal noir Québécois with the weft of the Scandinavian canon. Refining its sound over Infernal Decadence (Vendetta, 2018) and the towering, exultant melancholy of A Diabolic Thirst (Profound Lore, 2021), with Songs Of Blood and Mire (Profound Lore 2024) the band delivers an elegy of the void, seething with the venom and clamour of an ever-emptying world.
The album was recorded and mixed by Patrick McDowall (Guitarist in Spectral Wound) at his studio Black Gate and mastered by James Plotkin.

WORMED open portals into destructive new dimensions. The brutal Spaniards upcoming fourth album was charted at Thousand Cave Studios by Gorguts bassist Colin Marston, who’s also worked on records by Origin and Pyrrhon. Omegon chases the timeline of Krighsu, a shadowy hacker who’s in search of a cosmic substance that defies the grasp of mere mortals. On the album’s third and final advanced single, “Pleoverse Omninertia”, the tech-death space invaders condenses the raw essence of their cosmic dissonance into a quaking battlefield.
“Pleoverse Omninertia” crashes through quantum entanglements at warped speed. Beneath the veneer of chaos lies an ordered dance of subatomic particles: syncopated pings, crushing distortion, grunts that dig deeper than a black hole. Mixing brutal elegance and technical precision, Wormed unravel a narrative steeped in the struggle for the fate of the universe.
Space – the final frontier. Yet, when WORMED reach out into the void, the results sound far more like a dark space opera inhabited by bizarre aliens, genetically and technically evolved meta-humans struggling for power and survival in galactic empires. Now, the nano-technological war has been unleashed in the void to defeat the last sower of human life, Krighsu!
Odd-time signatures, avalanches of breaks and complex rhythmical as well as melodic patterns will excite every aficionado of extreme technicality, while growls down-tuned strings and double-bass assaults will more than satisfy extreme metal connoisseurs. While being outstandingly skilled musicians WORMED are avoiding any self-indulgent show of prowess for its own sake. Instead, the five-piece from Madrid clearly lays its emphasis on creating atmospheric songs, which develop and grow along the underlying story.
Originating from Spain’s capital Madrid in 1998, WORMED immediately made an impact in the death metal scene with the release of their ‘Floating Cadaver in the Monochrome’ MCD (1999). Following a promo CD under the title ‘Voxel Mitosis’ (2001), the first studio album ‘Planisphaerium’ received high acclaim by critics and fans alike in 2003. In the wake of their debut full-length, the Spanish received invitations to international festival shows and touring around the globe. WORMED performed in Japan alongside GORATORY and VOMIT REMNANTS and afterwards hit Europe with MALIGNANCY and DESPONDENCY.
A creative hiatus, partly due to line-up changes and filled with re-issues of their previous released as well as the single ‘Quasineutrality’ (2010) finally ended, when their sophomore album ‘Exodromos’ came out in 2013. On their third full-length ‘Krighsu’ (2016), the fast-rising Spanish Sci-Fi tech death prodigies are telling a dystopian cosmic story with lyrics and music joined into an overarching concept. Its intense brutality, dissonant dynamic riffing, and tremendous heaviness combined with an amazing futuristic concept, which introduced the character Krighsu – last human in the cosmos, harvested top reviews and saw WORMED headlining in the US and co-headlining in Europe.
In the summer of 2019, WORMED brought their ultra-technical cosmic sonic onslaught to new heights on their 4-track EP ‘Metaportal’, released through Season of Mist. Praised as a monstrously satisfying addition to their catalogue, the EP bridged the gap between their previously released 2016 ‘Krighsu’ and their newest project. Atmospheric yet faithful to the skull-crushing mindboggling textures they’ve given fans over the years, ‘Metaportal’ allowed WORMED to come to terms with the loss of Guillermo Calero in 2018 and move forward.
On ‘Omegon’, WORMED’s upcoming 2024 release, they continue the story of Krigshu, a timeline hacker entangled in manipulation by cosmic forces. As viciously as the aggression they bring on their technically impressive instruments, Krigshu battles his way to unlock the mysteries of Omegon, a mysterious cosmic substance holding ultimate power. With 9 tracks of ultimate interstellar chaos, a story unfolds and WORMED prove yet again that they reign supreme on the technical death metal genre.

Several weeks prior to the release of their debut album “Old City New Ruins”, Italian hardcore stalwarts FELDSPAR offer a new glimpse into their masterwork.
The single “Dead Friends Still Alive” is now streaming HERE.
“Old City New Ruins” is due out on September 30th 2024 via Time To Kill Records. “Old City, New Ruins” takes its title from Rome, the city where the band is based. It depicts the contemporary ruins of the capital, yet it’s merely a pretext to expose the complexities of everyday life common to Western societies and their major cities, foremost among them.
The album unfolds episode by episode, driven by the need to express anger and frustration, but also the antidotes to them. Social references abound, as well as intimate reflections and even profound investigations into the psychoses of the marginalized and abandoned.
It tells the story of collective strength, musically expressed through a choral quality that runs deep in the band. “Old City, New Ruins” is a unique hardcore album, inspired both by emerging currents of the genre – such as Comeback Kid, Turnstile, Trapped Under Ice – and by the European and Northern European heavy tradition – like Kvelertak, Turbonegro – to the pantheon of influences of FELDSPAR: Nirvana, Motorhead, Gorilla Biscuits, Slayer and everything in between.
The album consists of ten songs, with bellicose episodes alternating with cathartic moments, explosions of energy accompanied by timeless slogans, songs for celebration and songs for war, moments for reflection, and others for denunciation.
All of this alternates within the ten tracks preceding the instrumental that gives the album its title, also the final track of the record, a sort of Carpenteresque ballad that serves as the soundtrack to visualize the marvelous and creepy ruins FELDSPAR speaks of.
Production note: for the album, FELDSPAR worked alongside Nick Terry, a legendary figure in the English music scene, known for his productions with Ian Brown/Stone Roses, The Libertines, Turbonegro, Simian Mobile Disco, Kvelertak, Peaches, and more. His involvement adds international depth to the project. The artwork was entrusted to Chris Wilson, an American illustrator renowned for his work on covers for bands like MindForce, Scowl, Combust, and Gel, essentially the cream of the crop of contemporary American hardcore.
Tracklist:
1. What Makes Us Stay? 2. Cobblestones 3. Dead Friends Still Alive 4. 18 Karat 5. Your Resistance Is Not Only Futile But Also Pathetic 6. The Jester’s Revolt 7. Scalp Is An Ashtray 8. All Quiet (Huff And Puff) 9. Beach Bums Of Santa 10. God Is Fired 11. Old City New Ruins
For fans of: Life of Agony, Kvlertak, Integrity, Trapped Under Ice, Fiddlehead, Comeback Kid
In the eternal city of Rome, where the whispers of cryptic ecclesiastical hierarchies still linger,FELDSPAR emerges as a musical enigma, delving into the shadows to unravel, with a certain dose of irony and creativity, the clandestine threads of power. Named after a mineral purportedly worn by a covert Roman clergy, this entity consists of six eclectic souls working tirelessly to expose the elusive puppeteers who have shaped the lives of millions of people since the beginning of time.
Formed in late 2023 and based just a stone’s throw from the Vatican, the Godless folk two blocks from the Pope, FELDSPAR‘s journey begins with the legendary Andrew Mecoli, founder of the iconic Growing Concern, Mecoli’s guitar riffs echo the peculiar spirit of Italian hardcore. Joining him is Stefano Casanica, a prolific songwriter and producer, whose musical odyssey spans decades with undertakings in Undertakers, Craiving, Crude, and collaborations that transcend genres. Casanica’s production magic is immortalized in Noyz Narcos cult classic ‘Non dormire‘, a cornerstone of Italian hardcore rap with millions of streamings so far.
Enter Riccardo Zamurri, the charismatic frontman and creative force behind FELDSPAR‘s visual and thematic universe. With an imaginative prowess that spawns countless artistic collaborations worldwide, Zamurri shapes the band’s narratives and lyrical landscapes.
Anna Pasolini, the rising star, brings her sharp vocals and musical sensibility honed in London, where her mother, the Academy Award-winning composer Rachel Portman, imparted the musical craft. Pasolini’s environmental commitment as a dedicated scientist adds another layer to the band’s multifaceted identity.
Completing the lineup are the rhythmic anchors, Manlio Massimetti on bass and Luca Micheli on drums. Seasoned musicians with unwavering rhythmic certainties, contribute to FELDSPAR‘s hardcore attitude and the myriad compositions that spring forth from their creative well.
Their lyrics traverse contemporary themes, often rooted in critiquing the mass commercial drift of Western spirituality, emanating from the heart of Rome. The band delves into the psychoses of the individual, often transcending into imaginative realms, and champions mental health and adaptability to reality.
Environmental concerns, felt as urgent civic duties, find a prominent place in FELDSPAR‘s lyrical arsenal. Finally, the band pays homage to the communities to which it belongs, considering itself an expanded collective with friends and nonconformist artists at its core. Collaborations with figures such as Nick Terry, the London producer known for his work with countless Rock icons (The Libertines, Turbonegro, Kvelertak, The Stone Roses, Simian Mobile Disco) who produced the band’s debut album. Chris Wilson, a Tattoo artist and illustrator for Combust, Scowl, and many other American hardcore bands; Guido Gazzilli‘s courageous photography, Marcello ‘Rise Above’ Crescenzi‘s mastery of Roman art, and his exquisite illustrations further enrich the tapestry of the band’s creative journey and underscore FELDSPAR‘s commitment to a diverse and vibrant artistic community. Over time, Luca “Solo Macello”, an exceptionally skilled illustrator and collaborator with bands worldwide, joined in. His cover for Salmo‘s latest album, which remained at the top of the charts in Italy for weeks, has become one of the most important artworks in recent discographic history. Lastly, Nicolas Romero, an Argentine painter with FELDSPAR, is exploring uncharted visual universes.
In the intricate dance between sound, vision, and ideology, FELDSPAR stands as a beacon, beckoning the curious to navigate the uncharted waters of their musical realm.

200 STAB WOUNDS will be touring in support of their Manual Manic Procedures full-length, set for release on June 28th through Metal Blade Records.
A superlative sophomore effort that follows their tour de force debut, 2021’s Slave To The Scalpel, Manual Manic Procedures is a brutal slab of old-school death metal with a contemporary edge. Not for the faint-hearted, the record may well be the album that puts classic gore-themed ferocity back into the metal community’s collective consciousness. The album’s artwork – graphically depicting radical surgery on somebody who may or may not be conscious – is an immediate indicator of what this record is all about. No punches pulled, no holds barred, just blood-soaked death metal.
