ELOUR Present Empowering Anthem ‘Beautiful Girl’ with Striking Lyric Video

Femme Rock powerhouse ELOUR is proud to unveil the lyric video for “Beautiful Girl,” a powerful track from their upcoming album, “Blood Running,” slated for a re-release via Epictronic.

Brimming with raw emotions and ELOUR’s signature rock-infused sound, “Beautiful Girl” confronts the societal pressures and unrealistic expectations placed on women, particularly regarding beauty standards and objectification.

This song challenges the notion that a woman’s value lies solely in her physical appearance, encouraging listeners to reject narrow definitions of beauty and embrace their multifaceted selves.

ELOUR (pronounced “allure”) is what Elizabeth Ghandour categorizes as Femme Rock. Elizabeth’s direct lyrics, diverse background, and classically trained voice, combined with Ned Barclay’s soaring guitar, Joe Scarpellino’s tasty bass, and Ryan Vee’s creative drumming, yields a sound that’s raucous and rebellious, and yet very stylish.

I see my music as empowering for females because of my honesty. I think women often try to keep their emotions in check because it’s so easy to be called crazy or hysterical or to be seen as “too much” or too intense or aggressive, while males seem to get away with much more, without being labeled or ostracized. I like to lean into those labels and challenge those stereotypes by showing that there is strength in showing emotions, even if they’re emotions that are discouraged for women, such as lust, rage, or anger. “Good Girl” challenges the notion that women should suppress valid emotions to satisfy some external (patriarchal) version of “good.” “Reputation” and “Beautiful Girl,” each in their way, go further and recommend throwing off unhealthy, limiting societal chains.

I titled my album “Blood Running” after a lyric from the song “Ha.” The song displays the anger I felt after a relationship breakup, but underneath the anger was immense hurt. I was unseen and my pain and struggle didn’t matter. I feel it’s a bit of a female anthem because as females we are often dismissed or unacknowledged. We play so many valuable roles in a society that is still run by men. Our effort seems endless and often we are left feeling powerless. I hope that the album inspires people, and women especially, to find validity in all their emotional expression, and to claim their own power.

ELOUR is:

Elizabeth Ghandour: Songwriter, lead vocalist, rhythm guitar
Joe Scarpellino: Bass, backing vocals
Ned Barclay: Lead guitar
Ryan Vee: Drums

BAEST are sharing an ominous vision about their new song, “Imp of the Perverse”: “Our second single shows the dark sides of the human soul. It combines the heavy grooves with catchy rock melodies which forces the listener to both bang and boogie. It’s unreason, it’s chaos, it’s the ‘Imp of the Perverse’.”

You can check out the song on all digital platforms: https://baest.lnk.to/ImpOfThePerverse-Single

The video was and edited / directed by Jakob Printzlau and filmed by Theis Mortensen and Martin Hagge during two very special shows headlining shows in Aarhus and Copenhagen that the band played in March of 2024:

Looking back the band is still buzzing about seeing so many smiling faces who came to party with them: “We broke the record for the largest sold-out headlining shows any Danish death metal band has ever played. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and helped to make this become a reality. We love you all…”

In November BAEST are set to embark on their “Beast Against Beast” European co-headline tour together with Benighted. Special guests will be Coffin Feeder. BAEST state: “In the fall of 2024 we will return to the European roads wreaking havoc with a colossus of a co-headline tour: We will bring the BAESTfactor as you know it with an energetic heavy metal show with both oldies, goldies and maybe some fresh tunes. We’re teaming up with French brutal deathgrinders Benighted and Belgium blasters from Coffin Feeder. We can’t wait to get back on the road! See ya,”

RAINSWEPT Announce Debut Album “No Threats Allowed”, Out July 1st

Posted by tarjavirmakari on May 14, 2024
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: RAINSWEPT. Leave a comment

Rome hardcore unit RAINSWEPT have announced the upcoming release of their first full-length album, “No Threats Allowed”, on July 1st 2024 via Time To Kill Records.

The first video from the album, “The Swamp”, is out today. Watch it HERE.

“No Threats Allowed” tracklist:

01. G.A.F.
02. Word Is Bond
03. Triers
04. Redemption
05. Antidote
06. Diss Days
07. Tide Mind
08. Blank
09. Machete
10. Septic
11. Rainswept
12. Scaffolding
13. The Swamp

The album covers a lot of territory throughout its succinct rampage. Not only does RAINSWEPT deliver the expected classic hardcore sound, the influence from more contemporary styles, along with some metal vibes, pushes its way to the forefront, culminating in the band’s most vicious material yet.

“No Threats Allowed”
blends various musical tastes from classic NYHC to edgier notes of 90s metal, featuring fast riffs, two-step parts, and breakdowns. Conceptually, it serves as a declaration of intent, a manifesto. Years of sick and toxic social dynamics, both in personal life and even within the music scene, have led the band to feel the need to create a safe space, where the foundation lies in self-reflection and interaction with others. Only by respecting each individual’s mental well-being can there be collective improvement.

For fans of: Madball, Drain, Terror, Incendiary

RAINSWEPT is a hardcore band, established in Rome, from an idea of the drummer Luigi (Coloss/Strength Approach/First Blood/Blvd of Death) who started writing songs in early 2022. Sided by bass player Ale (ex Strength Approach) they began to write arrangements. The duo then recruited Andrea (Second by Default/Murder Spree) on vocals. Eventually, after some changes on guitar, Daniele (Maiali) and Valentino completed the line-up, giving their contribution to the songwriting.
About six months later the band recorded “Demo 2022” at Till Deaf Recording Studio and then proceeded to film a videoclip for their first single “Tide Mind”, all under the wing of Time To Kill Records. In the following months, they began to play gigs and fests sharing the stage with bands like Slug Gore, Fulci, Drain, Last Wishes, 3ND7R and Internal Bleeding.
After a tour in Germany and Belgium, RAINSWEPT started focusing on the production of their first full-length album.

Line-up:

Andrea – Vocals
Daniele – Guitar
Valentino – Guitar
Alessandro – Bass & Backing Vocals
Luigi – Drums
