Following the release of their much-acclaimed, first full-length studio album, “Of War And Flames” (released in March 2024 on AFM Records HERE!) and numerous, frenetically acclaimed live appearances in support of their debut, ALTERIUM – the uprising Italian power metal quintet led by Nicoletta Rosellini (ex. Kalidia, Walk in Darkness), has unleashed a new video single!

About the song “Hear My Voice”, the exceptional singer tells us:

“After the release of our debut album, we were blown away by the incredible feedback from fans and the press. Inspired by this support, we decided to release a new song as a heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who believed in us.

‘Hear My Voice’ is a deeply personal song that helped me move on from the past and strive for better. Packed with catchy synths, powerful guitars, and a sing-along chorus, it’s a must-hear for any power metal fan.”

“Hear My Voice” is now available on all digital streaming services at https://alterium.bfan.link/hear-my-voice

Born in late 2022, ALTERIUM consists of vocalist Nicoletta and former bandmates Paolo Campitelli (guitars) and Dario Gozzi (drums) from Kalidia, soon joined by Alessandro Mammola (guitars, also in Draconicon) and Luca Scalabrin (bass, also in Altair).

After Kalidia parted ways, Nicoletta decided to take a different approach and finally unleashes her whole potential as both a singer and a songwriter. Produced by Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call), and featuring 9 original classy power metal tracks including an epic cover of SABATON‘s “Bismarck”, “Of War and Flames” turns out to be a triumph of catchy choruses, terrific vocal lines, powerful sounds, strong guitar riffs, explosive drums, majestic choirs and captivating grooves, all skillfully mastered by Achim Koehler. Order this must-have album, one that belongs into every well-sorted power metal record collection, at: https://alterium.bfan.link/of-war-and-flames

After recently introducing a new line-up and making a powerful comeback from a brief hiatus with the track “Killer & The Queen”, Finnish heavy metal band OCEANHOARSE continues to forge ahead with the launch of their newest single, “Logos”.

The release is accompanied by an intense new video, which can be seen here:

“This song is one big jin and jang. It starts with the most aggressive music we have made but changes into a mystical spring rain kinda vibe“, OCEANHOARSE drummer Oskari Niemi states.

Bassist Silver Ots adds: “The RIFF catches you by the throat immediately and the song eases only in the middle section where it turns the jet engines off and goes gliding in the night sky. This is of course followed by an ass-ripping guitar solo and eventual crash-and-burn-heavy riff leaving no survivors.“

Listen to the song HERE

“Logos” was mixed and mastered by Lauri Hämäläinen. Cover art by Ben Varon.
“Logos” is out now via Noble Demon.

Oceanhoarse are:
Ben Varon – Guitar
Silver Ots – Bass
Oskari Niemi – Drums
Joonas Kosonen – Vocals

Psychedelic Prog Folk Rockers TUSMØRKE Release Single ‘”Dwarven Lord’ from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 15, 2024
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: TUSMØRKE. Leave a comment

Having recently confirmed that “Dawn of Oberon” the upcoming album  from Prog Folk Rockers TUSMØRKE is set for release on the 30th August, Karisma Records have released a track from the album, which, as always with this group of musicians, features mystical beings who don’t quite fit the image  that we’ve come to know through countless fairy tales.

In this case that being is a “Dwarven Lord” as the title suggests, and as the band explains:

Oberon and Titania pop up in the pastures of the Norwegian cultural landscape! Though dwarven, it is not the size of the synth that matters as we enter the soundscape of certain natural Norwegian influences. This track pays homage to Tyrannosaurus Rex, Joe Meek, Shakespeare and Purcell. Talk about high culture for lowbrows!

“Dwarven Lord” can be downloaded or streamed on a number of services at https://orcd.co/dwarvenlord

As to the album itself, “Dawn of Oberon” sweeps us off on a subterranean expedition to the Kingdom of the Fair Folk and is described by TUSMØRKE as a “manifestation of our Peter Pan syndrome, with our aesthetics and ideals having remained unchanged for the last 25 years”.

Once again the highly acclaimed Norwegian artist Sverre Malling has provided the artwork for the album, and tracklisting is as follows:

  1. Dawn of Oberon
  2. Born to be mild
  3. Dwarven Lord
  4. Midsommernattsdrøm
  5. People View
  6. Troll Male

“Dawn of Oberon” will be available in CD, Digital and Limited Edition Milky Clear Vinyl formats and can be pre-ordered now at:

Smartlink to various services:  https://orcd.co/oberon
Bandcamp:  https://tusm-rke.bandcamp.com/album/dawn-of-oberon
Webshop:  https://www.karismarecords.no/shop/
US Webshop:  https://karismarecords.indiemerch.com/band/tusmorke

Having released twelve albums in twelve years TUSMØRKE are not only prolific, they are also highly imaginative, with their work ranging from the creation of entire worlds, to concept-based trilogies aimed at younger music fans.  Their (occasionally risqué) creations, combined with the band’s musical prowess and their lyrical themes, beguile the listener, whilst inserting a cleverly disguised commentary about the times in which we live.

TUSMØRKE is band whose joie de vivre translates extremely well into live performances, and fans will be able to witness it for themselves when the current lineup of Herjekongen on Keyboards, Brennesle on Drums, Krizla on  Flute and vocals, and Benediktator on Bass and Vocals, hit the stage on the following dates (more to come).

15 June:  Kampen Bistro, Oslo
27 June:  Pomorfestivalen, Vardø (Bydyra)
31 August: Release gig (details to be announced)

More information about TUSMØRKE can be found on the band’s Facebook page at  https://www.facebook.com/Tusmorke/

Below you can see the official video by Aleksander U. Serigstad for the track “Tøyens Hemmelighet” from TUSMØRKE’s 2018 album “Fjernsyn i Farver”.

John Entwistle is best known as the legendary bassist for the Who. Nicknamed the Ox and Thunderfingers, Entwistle’s music career spanned over four decades and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Who in 1990. Renowned for his musical abilities, he was voted as the greatest bassist of all time in a 2011 Rolling Stone magazine readers’ poll and in its special “100 Greatest Bass Players” issue in 2017. Bass Player Magazine named Entwistle at number seven.

Rarities Oxhumed – Volume Two is the second of the series of posthumous releases coming from John Entwistle. This compilation was curated by drummer Steve Luongo, who served as John Entwistle’s producer, bandmate, business partner and good friend for many years. As Luongo states, “When I agreed to do two volumes of John Entwistle rarities, I knew volume two had to be even better than volume one. It is!” The collection of songs on Volume Two are from his years with the John Entwistle Band and include re-mastered versions of studio tracks including “Endless Vacation”, alternate mixes of tracks like “Sometimes”, and live tracks including The Who cuts “Real Me”, “Long Live Rock” and an epic version of “Young Man Blues”. The latest preview track to be released is the Who cut “Had Enough.”

Listen to “Had Enough” here: https://push.fm/ps/hadenough

Rarities Oxhumed – Volume One was quickly embraced by longtime fans as it featured gems like “Bogey Man” featuring Keith Moon, “Where You Going Now” (demo for the Who), and a raw live version of “Trick of the Light” recorded during the John Entwistle Band’s final tour in 2001.
