Troubles crash onto the scene with Red Alert, a debut that doesn’t waste a second. The album is a feral mix of grit, hooks and raw, emotionally charged vocals that plants the band firmly on the garage punk map.
Out now, the album is a relentless sprint. Most tracks clock in under two minutes, tearing past before you’ve caught your breath. The band only lets up on the final track — the record’s sole moment to stretch beyond the three-minute mark.
Already tipped as Radio Helsinki’s Musamusa Album of the Month ahead of release, Red Alert has also picked up airplay across Europe and the US with singles “Gimme Danger” and “Ghouls”.
Lyrically, the record cuts through the usual love-and-heartbreak tropes and digs into darker territory — life, death and everything in between — with a sharp, unapologetic punk edge.

“‘Eve’ is a pretty clear feminist anthem, while ‘Promises’ deals with the sexual harassment and violence women face,” says vocalist-guitarist Ida-Lotta.
Recorded with producer Ville Valavuo, who also handled mixing and mastering, Red Alert captures the band at their most immediate and unfiltered. The DIY ethos runs deep, with the band also creating their own artwork.
“We sound exactly like ourselves on this record. It was great to hear that even the extra ideas we came up with in the rehearsal space, like piano parts, worked perfectly. Working with Ville was easy, he just got what we were after,” says bassist Laura.
Formed in 2023, Troubles are doing things their own way. The band have openly rejected Spotify, citing its monopoly and investment practices, making Red Alert available everywhere else instead.
“We know we could reach more listeners there, but sticking to our values matters more. We want to be part of a change for the better,” Ida-Lotta adds.
Troubles hit the road this spring and summer, celebrating the release at Helsinki’s Lepakkomies on May Eve with Rokets and Paha Lucia, before joining Australian outfit STERÖID for shows in Tampere and Helsinki later in May.

Swedish modern metal force METALITE continue their forward momentum with the release of a stunning new music video for their latest single, “Starchild.” Following their recent signing with PERCEPTION – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music and the high-energy introduction of the previously-released track “Our Time Has Come,” the band now dives deeper into the sonic universe of their upcoming concept album Discovery.
“Starchild” showcases METALITE’s signature blend of soaring melodies, powerful riffs, and futuristic soundscapes. Driven by epic arrangements and shimmering synth layers, the track pulls listeners straight into the heart of the album’s narrative, offering a glimpse into the story unfolding within their ambitious new record.
With the accompanying video, METALITE bring the world of “Starchild” to life, visually expanding the band’s sci-fi inspired concept and underlining their dynamic and modern approach to power metal.
Guitarist, producer, songwriter and founder Edwin Premberg comments: “Starchild is a key piece of the concept behind our upcoming album Discovery. It’s a classic Metalite track, packed with high energy and soaring melodies but with some new influences. I wanted to create something heavier, a song that’s truly headbang-friendly with a chorus everyone will be singing along to.”
Formed in 2015 by guitarist Edwin Premberg and vocalist Emma Bensing, the band quickly gained recognition for its fresh and modern take on melodic metal and their 2017 debut album “Heroes in Time” set the stage for METALITE’s rise.
In 2019, the band entered a new era with “Biomechanicals”, marking the debut of vocalist Erica Ohlsson. With an even more refined sound, the album embraced electronic elements and pulsating rhythms, elevating METALITE’s futuristic vision, further solidifying the band’s reputation as innovators in the genre.
Their evolution continued with “A Virtual World” in 2021, an album that expanded on their sci-fi themes while delivering massive soundscapes and powerful melodies.
With “Expedition One” (2024), METALITE embarked on their most ambitious project to date. A visionary concept album set in the year 2055, it tells the story of a renegade team searching for a new world, exploring themes of human evolution, technology, and survival.
In 2024, the band welcomed drummer Erik Junttila to the lineup, bringing new energy and power to their sound. His premiere gig with the band took place in Linköping at the beginning of 2025, marking an exciting new chapter in METALITE’s journey. Since then, they completed several tours with bands like Pain, Leaves’ Eyes and the Night Flight Orchestra and played at several festivals, including Sweden Rock and Masters of Rock.

Joe Bonamassa has released “Tattoo’d Lady (Live),” one of the latest singles from his upcoming live album and concert film The Spirit Of Rory Live From Cork, due out June 19th via J&R Adventures. Recorded during a series of sold-out performances in Cork, Ireland, the track offers another glimpse into Bonamassa’s deeply personal tribute to Rory Gallagher, captured in the city where Gallagher’s legacy still resonates most strongly.

Originally released on Gallagher’s 1973 album Tattoo, “Tattoo’d Lady” stands as one of his defining early compositions – a raw, autobiographical portrait of life on the road, shaped by long nights, constant travel, and the push-and-pull between freedom and isolation. Built around a loose, swaggering groove and sharp lyrical detail, the song reflects a more intimate side of Gallagher’s writing, balancing humour, and weariness with a sense of restless motion.
That spirit carries through Bonamassa’s live interpretation. Rather than reshape the song, he leans into its narrative core, allowing the performance to unfold with the same unfiltered energy that defined Gallagher’s original recordings. The Cork audience – deeply connected to the material – responds in kind, giving the track a lived-in feel that goes beyond a straightforward cover.
For Bonamassa, songs like “Tattoo’d Lady” were central to understanding Gallagher’s range as both a guitarist and a storyteller. While much of Gallagher’s reputation rests on his explosive live playing, tracks like this reveal the observational detail and personality that made his catalogue endure.
The Spirit Of Rory Live From Cork documents Bonamassa’s full tribute set, performed with the blessing of Gallagher’s family, and shaped by the unique atmosphere of Cork itself. Across 14 songs, the album moves between the intensity of tracks like “Walk On Hot Coals” and “Bullfrog Blues” and more reflective moments like “Tattoo’d Lady” and “A Million Miles Away,” which will serve as the album’s focus track upon release.
The performances were recorded during a three-night run that grew out of what was initially planned as a single tribute show. The response from local audiences turned the event into something larger, with each night building on the last and reinforcing the connection between the music, the place, and the people who have carried Gallagher’s legacy forward.
Additional footage from the Cork performances will be included on the album’s DVD and Blu-ray editions, featuring bonus material such as The Inspiration of Rory with Brian May and Slash, along with behind-the-scenes moments that further document the significance of the project.
As the album moves closer to release, “Tattoo’d Lady (Live)” offers a different lens into Gallagher’s catalogue – one that highlights the writing and perspective behind the playing, and the enduring appeal of songs that feel grounded in real experience.

The sixth release from the band and the first piece of their highly anticipated debut EP, set for summer 2026, “Binario 21” marks a crucial moment in the artistic journey of the project. A track that represents a deep evolution, confirming the band’s ability to blend different influences into a powerful, recognizable, and emotionally charged sonic language.
The composition features Salvo Mulè on vocals and Casimiro Pecoraro on guitar and keyboards. The new lineup is solidified with Emiliano Rocchi on bass and Vincent Purple on drums, further enriched by the special participation of Phil Spinelli and Andrea Vidali (SVI) of Black South, adding even more depth and impact to the track.
The title “Binario 21” refers to one of the most dramatic places in Italian and European history: the hidden platform of Milan Central Station from which trains departed to concentration camps. A symbol of memory, pain, and truth that becomes the beating heart of the narrative.
The lyrics, written in English to reach an international audience, unfold in two distinct yet deeply connected moments: the first part tells the story of a deported man, clinging to the only memory of his life — his daughter’s toy; the second part opens into a present-day reflection, drawing a parallel between the past and contemporary tragedies, with wars and destruction that continue to affect innocent lives.
