Today, hard rock veterans NIGHT RANGER are proud to unveil the newly remastered version of “When You Close Your Eyes (2026),” taken from their upcoming ‘Best Of’album, set for release on August 28th via Frontiers Music Srl. The new single arrives alongside an official visualizer, available below.

‘Best Of’ features newly remixed & remastered versions of classic hits spanning NIGHT RANGER’s illustrious career, alongside some standout tracks from the band’s more recent releases. The album will be released on both CD and Vinyl. The double LP is available in 3 different colors: black, gold, & orange splatter.

“The new ‘Best Of’ is a celebration of not only our classic hits but also what we’ve created over the last 20 years. And we’re just gonna keep cranking it cause we’re having too much fun to stop! So enjoy the ride and see ya on the road!” – Jack Blades

Few bands have defined the sound of American melodic rock quite like NIGHT RANGER. From the soaring anthem of “Sister Christian” to the thunderous riffs of “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”, and fan favorites like “You Can Still) Rock in America” this album’s ‘Best Of’ collection captures the very essence of their decades-long career — now refreshed for 2026.

Featuring the classic hits alongside and standout tracks from their more recent albums, this compilation spans the full spectrum of NIGHT RANGER’s signature sound: anthemic choruses, blazing guitar solos, and unforgettable melodies. Highlights include the power-pop perfection of “(You Can Still) Rock in America,” the heartfelt balladry of “When You Close Your Eyes,” and the cinematic sweep of “Four in the Morning.”

But the ‘Best Of’ is not just a look back. It also celebrates the band’s creative output over the last 20 years, spotlighting tracks like “Time of Our Lives,” “High Road,” “No Time to Lose,” “Somehow Someway,” and “Truth,” proving that NIGHT RANGER’s energy, songwriting, and musicianship have only grown stronger with time. These songs show that the band continues to innovate while staying true to the melodic rock roots that made them legendary.

The band — Jack Blades (bass and vocals), Kelly Keagy (drums and vocals), Brad Gillis (guitars), Eric Levy (keyboards), and Keri Kelli (guitars) — delivers every track with the energy and precision that have kept NIGHT RANGER at the forefront of rock for more than four decades.

This ‘Best Of” album also features two bonus tracks that make this collection of songs truly special: a fresh take on “Wasted Time” recorded live off the floor at Sweetwater Studios, also accompanied by an exclusive music video, and a festive live performance of “Feliz Navidad” that showcases the band’s playful side.

Perfectly timed ahead of their summer 2026 tour, this ‘Best Of’ album serves as both a definitive introduction for new fans and a must-have collection for longtime followers. Whether revisiting the classics or discovering the new 2026 remasters, NIGHT RANGER’s ‘Best Of’ is a celebration of enduring melodies, electrifying performances, and the unforgettable spirit of one of rock’s most iconic bands.

GRADIENCE Present New Video/Single ‘Undone’ from Upcoming Debut Full-Length Album

“Undone” is the latest single from Danish metal outfit, GRADIENCE. The track appears on the band’s debut full-length, Anomaly, set for release on September 4th via Metal Blade Records.

Issues vocalist Gavin Mistry, “‘Undone’ is about not keeping my negative thoughts unspoken – about saying them out loud when I’m trapped in a dark thought pattern. It’s about realizing you don’t have to deal alone with finding and fixing all your flaws but allowing your friends and loved ones to be there for you. To let them help you and not stand in the way of others helping you navigate your negative mind.”

Watch GRADIENCE‘s previously released video for “Deathwish“HERE, “Master To The Slave,” HERE, and “White Noise” HERE.

On the inaugural full-length from this shrewdly named Danish duo, the usually clear-cut boundary between apocalyptic, sludgy blackened death metal and dark urban trap-rap is thrillingly pulverized. Lines of musical convention are further blurred by disarmingly emotive and intimate vocal lines, and a vibrant sound picture heaving with glacial synths and hypnotic sonic details. At first, it might daunt and confuse those who like their boundaries clear-cut, but at the heart of GRADIENCE‘s brash and radical new sound is an authentic and heartwarming new friendship.

In 2022, Gavin and guitarist Jakob Lærke Harris struck up an immediate creative rapport at a Copenhagen show for local deathcore heroes Cabal. Gavin had been signed to Sony in Denmark with his “grunge/rock/trap duo” KXDS – a project stymied by the COVID disaster. Before that, he’d been involved with an underground hip-hop label/collective. “I had gained a little performance experience and was known as the authentic trap-rapper with emotional and melodic bits,” says Gavin.

His efforts attracted the ear of Jakob, who knew he’d found a kindred soul, with a voice that he was keen to work with. “It was an immediate musical and creative match,” enthuses Jakob. “I admired Gavin’s vivid lyrics and his ease, switching between delicate melody lines and hard flows; it just opened so many doors to explore in the songwriting process.”

GRADIENCE audibly generates real “planets aligning” energy. The tension and turbulence of Jakob’s extreme metal growl finds counterintuitive new context alongside Gavin’s fierce rhythms and rhymes, further enlivened by the spontaneous crackle to the performances – not least drummer Frederik Kjelstrup Hansen’s and bassist Patrick Petersen’s hammering rhythm section.

Lauds Metal Hammer Germany in an advance review of the record, “With a skillful blend of rap, metalcore, and black metal, the quartet goes a step further than well-known rap metal acts and weaves dark, atmospheric black metal riffs into trap beats and powerful breakdowns.” Adds Rock Hard Germany, “The raw power of the guitars and double bass meets hard-hitting flows, emotional melodies, and hypnotic electronic elements. In terms of quality, GRADIENCE can easily hold their own against the bigger names in the genre.”

NETHERWILDS Unleash Ale-Soaked New Single & Music Video ‘Helm Yeah’

Hear ye, hear ye: even a downtrodden peasant deserves a night off.

Having endured toil, taxation, errant livestock and the everyday indignities of life beneath the crown, NETHERWILDS’ resident peasant hero Worm Chewer returns today with “Helm Yeah,” the latest single from the band’s forthcoming debut album, Peasant Rising, arriving October 9th via King Volume Records.

This time, however, revolution can wait until morning.

“Helm Yeah” finds Worm Chewer stumbling from hardship into revelry after a particularly productive encounter with a cask of ale leads to the discovery of a nobleman’s great helm. Naturally, there is only one reasonable course of action: put it on, gather the townsfolk and celebrate like a man whose station has suddenly risen several rungs above the mud.

A rowdy medieval metal drinking anthem built for raised tankards and questionable decisions, “Helm Yeah” offers a more jubilant glimpse into the strange world of Peasant Rising. Beneath the merriment, however, lies the same peasant spirit that runs throughout the album: if the ruling class gets the armor, the castles and the feasts, why shouldn’t the common folk enjoy a little grandeur of their own?

Regarding his latest adventure, Worm Chewer proclaims:

“My quest for the goat led me to the bottom of a cask of ale, I must say. But in my drunken stupor I did stumble upon a treasure most rare. Aye, a nobleman’s great helm! And what good is a peasant’s life and if one can’t make merry with his fellows, amid the sorrow and toil? Dress for the job you want to have! Hold my ale, I’ll show you how to frolic with the best of them.”

Pre-Order Peasant Rising: https://netherwilds.bandcamp.com/album/peasant-rising

Across Peasant Rising, NETHERWILDS weave blackened metal, medieval folk, doom and cinematic atmosphere into an eccentric narrative chronicling Worm Chewer’s transformation from beleaguered laborer into an increasingly unlikely revolutionary. “Helm Yeah” captures one of the saga’s lighter moments, a drunken detour where fellowship, ale and borrowed headgear briefly triumph over the misery of feudal existence.

Produced and mixed by Jesse Turnbull (Dear-God, Doflame), Peasant Rising unfolds as a sprawling medieval adventure filled with mud, monsters, misfortune, rebellion and the occasional triumph of peasant ingenuity. With each song serving as another piece of Worm Chewer’s tale, the album gradually expands from one man’s struggle to survive into something far larger brewing beyond the castle walls.

So fill thy cup, secure thy finest helm and make merry while ye still can.

The uprising will resume shortly.

1. Peasant Rising
2. Peasant Pit
3. Helm Yeah
4. Scroll I – The Fair
5. Ballad of Sir Gregory
6. Scroll II – The Mud Mages
7. Cry in the Hay

About NETHERWILDS:

NETHERWILDS is a medieval metal project that transforms the viral mythology of the beloved Worm Chewer character into a fully realized musical realm. Produced and mixed by Jesse Turnbull (Dear-God, Doflame), debut album Peasant Rising combines blackened metal, medieval folk, doom and cinematic storytelling to chronicle one lowly peasant’s improbable journey from forgotten laborer to would-be revolutionary.

Packed with immersive world-building, memorable characters, crushing riffs and a gleefully irreverent view of feudal authority, NETHERWILDS invite listeners into a realm where hardship and absurdity walk hand in hand, and even the lowliest peasant may yet have his day.

Exclusive Premiere for Finland: KICKIN VALENTINA – ‘Silver Moon’ Official Video

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 14, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: KICKIN VALENTINA. Leave a comment

Atlanta hard rockers KICKIN VALENTINA return with their new single and video, “Silver Moon”, another swaggering, riff-driven anthem that perfectly embodies the band’s trademark blend of grit, attitude and infectious hooks. Describing the song as “A seedy inside look at a dead-end town hussy living her best life”, the quartet wraps its vivid storytelling in razor-sharp guitars, pounding rhythms and an instantly memorable chorus, delivering another in-your-face loud slice of modern rock’n’roll.

Taken from the forthcoming album “Anthems From The Underground”, due to drop on August 28th, “Silver Moon” is built for loud speakers, late nights and raised fists. Balancing classic hard rock swagger with contemporary punch, the track offers another compelling taste of an album that finds Kickin Valentina sounding tighter, hungrier and more confident than ever, while staying true to the raw, no-compromise spirit that has defined the band from the very beginning.

Join the premiering here:

Kickin Valentina return with a sensational new full-length album, “Anthems From The Underground”, set for worldwide release in August 2026. The highly-anticipated record will be released via Mighty Music and delivers a crushing, no-compromise statement of modern underground hard rock.

Recorded in Atlanta and produced by Pete Newdeck, mixed at PNProductions (UK) and mastered by Harry Hess at H-Bomb Mastering (Toronto), the album captures the band at full intensity while pushing their sound into new territory.

Bassist Chris Taylor reflects on the album’s concept and title: “On this album we decided to bring in a different producer. We love everything (the previous producer) Andy (Reilly) did on our previous albums, but creatively we thought it was time to do something different and have someone push us out of our comfort zone. Every record we want to grow as a band and I think Pete brought out the best of us individually in the studio. When we were trying to decide on an album name, DK and I were leaving the studio one day kicking around ideas. I told him I thought we should embrace the fact that we were an underground band and pay tribute to fans that support underground music. After kicking around a few ideas back and forth, “Anthems From The Underground” was born”.

Formed in 2013, Kickin Valentina quickly built momentum in the U.S. and internationally, first signing with Atlanta indie label Highway 9 Records before moving to Mighty Music in 2015. Since then, the band has released a steady run of acclaimed records including “Super Atomic”, “Imaginary Creatures”, “Revenge of Rock”, “Star Spangled Fist Fight”, and “Raw Trax, B-Sides and Bootlegs”, as well as the EP “Chaos in Copenhagen”, earning a strong reputation for raw, high-energy rock’n’roll rooted in a take-it-or-leave-it attitude.

“Anthems From The Underground” will be released on LP (purple vinyl, limited to 500 copies), digipack CD and digital formats on 28.08.2026, via Mighty Music.

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: GLORYHAMMER. Leave a comment

Power metal heroes GLORYHAMMER open up another chapter of their expansive universe surrounding the Space Kingdom of Fife. “Die with a Sword in My Hand” brims over with energetic heroism. As a second glimpse into their upcoming album, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath, coming October 16, 2026 via Napalm Records, the new single describes the chaos the album’s protagonist, Angus McFife V, has to deal with in the face of intergalactic battle. The alleged safe haven is overrun by demons in this memorable track, the future is uncertain.

What is certain is the rousing character that GLORYHAMMER give to their music and epic storytelling. Correspondingly, “Die with a Sword in My Hand” comes with an exceptional animated video, following the story in the style of a TV show. Get ready, as it is their destiny to fight – tonight!

The Hootsman about “Die with a Sword in My Hand”:
“I don’t always die, but when I do, it’s with a sword in my hand.”

The enemies of Dundee tremble as exalted power metal heroes GLORYHAMMER announce their long-awaited fifth album, Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath! Due for release on October 16, 2026, via Napalm Records, the album is a direct sequel to 2015’s Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards, continuing the epic saga of the McFife dynasty. Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath follows Angus McFife V, the Crown Prince of Fife last seen in 2022’s single “Fly Away,” as he ventures into a perilous journey across spacetime that will lead him to the distant future of 1993, where his destiny lies.

Across eleven tracks, the band of heroes draws upon a more diverse range of influences than ever before, without ever compromising on the hook-driven, memorable songwriting that they are known for. From classic power metal to thrash, high energy synth rock to vast, sweeping orchestral soundscapes and more. Produced by the band themselves and mixed by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe), this is GLORYHAMMER as you’ve never heard them before.

Will Angus and his allies prevail in this titanic struggle? Or will the galaxy plunge into demonic chaos? Join GLORYHAMMER and find out – For the Eternal Glory of Dundee!

GLORYHAMMER about the new album:
“Mighty warriors, rejoice! The almighty GLORYHAMMER return triumphantly with a new chapter in the long and tumultuous history of the Intergalactic Empire of Fife. Multidimensional wormholes, abandoned space stations, and EPIC BATTLES await at the final frontier of Space 1993. FOR THE ETERNAL GLORY OF DUNDEE!”

Pre-order your copy of Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath NOW

“Ultra Portam Astralem” opens Space 1993: Wrath of Kor-Virliath with menacing drums and fanfare, shaping the cinematic setup of the album. The origin of the perilous undertone is explained in the following “Ultimate Sacrifice,” a sweeping power metal track: The Space Kingdom of Fife has been forsaken and Kor-Virliath seeks a new way to seize power after Zargothrax’s failed ritual. Previously released as a standalone single, “On a Quest for Aberdeen” shines anew in an album version; and the place of its vibrant story and rousing character, Angus V, is now fully revealed as it takes its place among the wider narrative of the album. At this point in the story however, peace isn’t an option yet: Aberdeen is overrun by demons in “Die with a Sword in My Hand,” and with a sentiment such as the one contained in this song’s title, epic battles will surely follow. With a chorus full of gang shouts, this track is certain to become a live favourite. “Silver Talon” keeps morale high by addressing the mighty galactic fleet, stunningly rendered on the album artwork against the backdrop of the pestilential Terrorvortex. Ser Proletius’ legendary Space Knights of Crail join their ranks with the ace pilots whose campaigns are illustrated amidst a stunning orchestral landscape in “Starfighters of Leuchars.” Afterwards, GLORYHAMMER expands upon the story behind birthplace of Zargothrax, where the battle hardened “Warriors of Auchtermuchty” swear their allegiance to their emperor with an inescapably catchy sing-along chorus. Elsewhere in space, majestic melodies echo through the derelict halls of an abandoned spaceship, as Angus is guided to an unexpected long-lost ally, taking him one step closer to the ultimate goal of “Pax Galactica.” Electronic soundscapes lead into energetic “Demonic Devotion” which has the song’s protagonist, long trapped in his own mind, trying to reconcile with the destruction in his wake while “Hammer of Fate” sets the scene for what’s to come, but is it the fate we have all come to expect? The story concludes with the bombastic monolith of “The Celestial Warhost of the Dundonian Empire Marches to Space Against the Dark Sorcerer: Final Assault on Battlemoon X-22,” an epic nearing 13 minutes of playtime, split into four ever-so-theatrical chapters. As previously seen with GLORYHAMMER, the narration is expanded through voice lines of a host of legendary characters, as they engage in mortal battle to change the fate of the galaxy…

  1. Ultra Portam Astralem
