Vincenzo Grieco: Guitarist, composer, arranger and teacher with more than 20 years of musical experience graduated in pop guitar from the Conservatory of Frosinone, Vincenzo Grieco has now become a reference point in the Roman guitar environment.
In his musical activity he has often crossed different musical genres, favoring an Anglo-American sound and repertoire. Always passionate about Rock Blues, he currently performs with the band “Vincenzo Grieco and T.H.E. Rome Blues Authority” and with the Jimi Hendrix/Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute “Little Wings” and other bands of Blues extraction such as the Nails & Rocks. For more than 15 years he has been passionately dedicated to intense teaching activities through lessons, master classes and video courses. After several musical productions of instrumental tracks and soundtracks (Rai TV, Rai Trade), in 2019 he will debut his first album of unreleased tracks titled “Misleading Lights of Town” and in 2020 with his second record work titled “Outer Space.”
Nightrage is back once again, with their new single “Euphoria Within Chaos”, taken from one of their best albums in their 23 years of existence.
“Remains Of A Dead World” is the 10th album of the band and this time the band returned to where everything had started, since Nightrage was born in Greece in 2000.
With the great help of our past bandmate and now producer, engineer and mixer Fotis Benardo (Rotting Christ, Sakis Tolis, Nightfall, On Thorns I lay, Suicidal Angels) at his Devasoundz in Athens Greece, and with his great producing skills, “Remains Of A Dead World” is a mixture of all the things that makes Nightrage a beast of integrity, they prove to be one of the last remaining true masters of the melodic death metal genre, fully unstoppable riffing, and great hooks with bigger than life guitar melodies with brutal vocals that represents the honesty and pure musical delivery, that comes straight from the heart.
“Euphoria Within Chaos strikes hard, it’s one these types of songs that you are expecting from us, strong, hard, and super melodic, loving the chemistry that me and Magnus once again showcase here, without trying too hard, we always come up with riffs and material that fits together perfectly. Dig the super aggressive verse riffs and the melodic chorus with the signature nightrage guitar melodies, the bridge in the middle of the song is groovier than ever, and the needed clean break, balancing the tune after such hard hitting. The song talks about the inner continuous sacrifice for self improvement while struggling to cope with external difficulties in order to achieve what we desire in life. The lyrics emphasize the dark feeling we sometimes feel when we almost give up on trying, but hope and strength are always the way to recover and keep moving forward.”
The album has been mastered by a great friend of the band George Nerantzis (Abbath, Dark Funeral, Pain Of Salvation, Sakis Tolis) and his great skills gave the album a huge sound with clarity, power and analog flavor.
Songs like “Euphoria Within Chaos” and the title track “Remains Of A Dead World” showcase and deliver massive riffs and ethereal melodies, the new singer Konstantinos Togas really fits with the new material and proves to be one of the best singers to front Nightrage with his intense performance, combining brutality and melodicism on his amazing vocals.
“A Throne Of Melancholy” and “Persevere Through Adversity” it’s big arena rock type of songs with huge choruses, that gives you great hooks and melodies, feelings that can stay forever in your mind, where “Nocturnal Thorns” and “Dark Light” it’s definitely a journey into more mystical and eerie musical stories, that are interesting and showcase a more progressive and dark side of the band.
Marios Iiopoulos and Magnus Soderman, have once again managed to create such great songs, working together for the fourth time as a sweet songwriting team, their chemistry is unparalleled and this album is proof of great songwriting and team effort.
George Stamoglou and Francisco Escalona bring the low-end section of the band with dynamic precision, and a heavy dose of energy to headbang till whiplash.
The album concept once again talks about the tragedy of our actions against the world and ourselves, now we can clearly see the consequences of our actions, and what’s left is only the remains of a sad and miserable cosmos, a dead world that we’ve blindly created for ourselves.
Are we able to learn from our past mistakes and tragedies? The various songs on the album also touch other subjects thematically. Like we should never stop learning and become better, learning from our life experiences. The fact that we are part of a dystopian world system under a technologically developed world we have seen the birth of a new kind of global ruler. About the inner struggle for personal and spiritual freedom that many people face without even knowing it most of the time. How people are nowadays, fighting their own ego all the time, and doing the worst things possible to each other under the name of fake friendship. Also the fact that no matter how many times we are down, we need always to find the inner power to stand up and face our fears and live our life for what it is, with courage and patience, with no darker corners and no agendas. “Violence is not the key” is the first official single taken from the new album “Mankind” by Simone Carnaghi and his project IT WILL LAST which will be released on March 18 by Wanikiya Record/Promotion! The single, will be available on all worldwide music stores, on the label’s shop in Japan and on showcase on Crash Sound Distribution.
The lyrics of this song are a message of protest against all forms of violence in the world. It really seems that human beings have not yet been able to learn from history and their own mistakes.

Simone Carnaghi is a multi-instrumentalist (bass/guitar/drums), composer/arranger, and teacher of bass, drums, guitar, and ensemble music with many years of teaching experience (since as far back as 2006). His great passion for composition began very early and after the first several demos in the early 2000s, in 2011, his first album as a multi-instrumentalist entitled “Slender Hopes”.
This project was quite different from Simone’s current compositions for her “It Will Last” albums, however it was a great source of inspiration and the beginning of an ambitious path from a musical point of view, wanting to take care of all compositions, instrument recordings and more from the very beginning in total autonomy.
The “It Will Last” project came to life at the end of 2018 “Nightmares in Daylight” (2021) was the first CD-album “It Will Last” .
The entire album was written, played (all instruments), recorded, mixed and mastered by Simone in his private studio in Rescaldina (Mi).
“Nightmares in Daylight” is a concept album about aspects that are slowly “consuming” the world we live in. A few years later here is the new concept album “Mankind” the continuation and especially the evolution of the previous “Nightmares in daylight” especially in the music.
So many are Simone’s musical influences, starting with her beloved Iron Maiden from the 80s heyday, Savatage, Judas Priest, Stryper, Dokken, Rush and many more.
“Mankind” is about human selfishness, in all its forms, toward others and the world we live in. This leads to sad consequences that tend to get worse and worse with each passing year. It would take very little, even the smallest gestures could really improve so many things. The message in his songs is strong, it is an album full of emotions, despite everything the theme of hope is still always present.
One of the novelties of this new album of his is definitely that he has dedicated himself in addition to everything else to all the lead vocals. Being a very personal album he was driven by a strong desire to sing all his lyrics totally immersing himself in his “It Will Last” project as a true “one man band.” “Mankind” was totally composed/arranged, played, sung and produced by Simone at his private studio in Rescaldina (Mi).
At the moment, the project” It Will Last” does not plan to be taken to the stage, but… the rest of the story is yet to be written….

The band shares about the album: “Exit Emotions is our most international sounding record, since aside Finland the songwriting process took place in Berlin, London, and Los Angeles. We worked with Zakk Cervini, Dan Lancaster, Johnny Andrews, RORY, From Ashes to New and Jason Aalon Butler from Fever 333. These collaborations helped us develop our sound, without losing the ingredients that make us Blind Channel. It’s the first album we’ve approached from a live perspective, showcasing the raw energy of our live shows. “Lyrically, the song is about the growing drug problem in the US and Europe, the associated isolation of those affected, and living life from one shot to the next – from the shot at night to the low point (and hangover) of the day and the next trip: Taking the next exit and taking the trip to paradise with the “drug ticket”. Lyrically, the song is inspired by the old Miami Vice episodes, the dark night streets and the slight gloominess of early episodes.” Guitarist Chris Lorey comments.
“The song is extremely short by IVANHOE standards, and is musically a small homage to “Whipping The Flies” (from the album “Polarized”), which is also short, clear and tightly composed. Nevertheless, it shows the changing image of the lyrics through complex riffs and a quiet phase. The song was actually written on the basis of “Moments In Time”, which provided musical inspiration for “One Ticket To Paradise”.
While the songwriting process turned out to be a journey back to the roots of the band, revisiting all previous IVANHOE albums, according to the band, yet the songs on “Healed By The Sun” are catchier and more accessible, and the compositions more sophisticated. The band’s ninth studio offering was produced by Giovanni Soulas and Chris Lorey, and was mixed and mastered by Andy Horn at The Red Room Studios. The cover artwork was created by Michael Krebes.
