ACCEPT Unveil Title Track of Upcoming Album “Humanoid” with Official Video

Heavy metal legends ACCEPT unleash the first single, the title track of their upcoming album Humanoid, out on April 26, 2024! The hard-hitting first single features razor-sharp riffs in true ACCEPT style and comments on our reliance on technology. The dystopian atmosphere of the accompanying official music video compliments the track perfectly, depicting a stark contrast between a video wall and the band performing live in front of it.

ACCEPT was the first heavy metal band from Germany to explode internationally, influencing an entire generation of bands. Founded in 1976, ACCEPT has remained at the top of the scene with countless sold-out shows, headline slots at all major international festivals, Gold certifications, #1 chart positions and a colossal number of albums sold throughout the years.

Fans will get their chance to hear the new songs live soon after the release of Humanoid on ACCEPT’s South American tour, kicking off at the end of April, as well as at many big European summer festivals – including Hellfest, Wacken and Masters of Rock. Tickets for ACCEPT’s autumn 2024 European headline tour are also already on sale. Watch the video below and secure your copy of Humanoid now!

ACCEPT on “Humanoid”:
“The song plays with the omnipresent topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In a strange way, we have entered exciting times now… This Digital Revolution has a huge impact, probably bigger than anything humankind has ever gone through. The Industrial Revolution was huge, but this might be even bigger, and we’re just at the beginning of it. However, I’m also a little afraid that humanity gets lost and pushed aside in all this stuff. The song is pretty impactful and provoking!”

“On Humanoid, ACCEPT once again succeed in channeling the essence of heavy metal: Cutting riffs, sublime solos, big melodies. Must be heard loud!” – Metal Hammer Germany

(ACCEPT Metal Hammer Coverstory with excl 7’’ Vinyl to be published on April 12 – Pre-Order now!)

Once again finalized by leading metal producer Andy Sneap (Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Testament, Saxon, etc.) at his Backstage Recording Studios Ltd. in Derbyshire, UK, Humanoid is a towering musical achievement and another world class entry in the ACCEPT catalog, certain to rally fans from around the world. Humanoid will be available in various formats worldwide, some of them strictly limited.

Humanoid joins absolute genre classics like Balls To The Wall, certified Gold in USA and Canada, Metal Heart, and newer masterpieces like Blood of the Nations and the #1 charting album Blind Rage. Their albums regularly place in national Top 10 sales charts, with global sales in excess of 17 million to date.

ACCEPT have never shied away from hot button issues, and this album is no exception. Yet the band’s 17th studio album is certainly not a concept album. It deals with topics like AI and how our reliance on technology is gradually stripping away our individuality. ACCEPT offers a warning in this new album and title track single Humanoid. Since singer Mark Tornillo will never be an advocate for the digital age, he counterbalances the title track with raw emotions, frailties, significant Rites of Passage we encounter on the path of life and characteristics that make us uniquely human: feeling uncomfortable, getting older, dealing with hurt, disappointment, and the final stop for everyone: death.

Tracklisting Humanoid:
1          Diving Into Sin
2          Humanoid
3          Frankenstein
4          Man Up
5          The Reckoning
6          Nobody Gets Out Alive
7          Ravages Of Time
8          Unbreakable
9          Mind Games
10        Straight Up Jack
11        Southside Of Hell

Humanoid is a ferociously electrifying, dynamic and subtly nuanced platter with tongue in cheek humor, as heard in biblical references on “The Reckoning” – an ode to concert audiences – a thrilling new spin on the “Frankenstein” story and “Straight Up Jack” – a track that surely would have been a Bon Scott approved drinking song.

The opening track “Diving into Sin” gives listeners a hair-raising energetic jolt with its Middle Eastern influenced intro, and an almost aggressive, screaming vocal from Tornillo setting the rest of the album up for a most bountiful feast. “Unbreakable” is as much about the band as it is the bond between ACCEPT and their fans, in the concert arena – an easy going “Hey, let’s do this” kind of rock song. “Mind Games”, on the other hand, has a vintage feel, circa “Metal Heart”. “No One Gets Out Alive” seems tailor made for live shows. It says that regardless of life’s circumstances, rich, famous, or not, death is the great equalizer. Upbeat and aggressive with guitar interplay, “Southside Of Hell” ends the disc with a wonderful bit of wordplay, courtesy of Tornillo.

Humanoid is an album that targets the head, heart, gut and… balls! Listen for yourself!

UK metal group BALANCE OF POWER has returned with a powerful new music video for their latest track, ‘Abyss’, which offers another exciting glimpse into their forthcoming studio album, ‘Fresh From The Abyss.’

Produced by Toby Jepson (Little Angels, Wayward Sons), drummer Lionel Hicks, and mixed by Mike Plotnikoff (Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, Fear Factory); ‘Fresh From The Abyss’ is a captivating release that showcases a grand blend of melodic metal and progressive rock.

Featuring dynamic and intricate guitar work, hard hitting drums, and soaring vocals and keys, every track on ‘Fresh From The Abyss’ is honed and professionally crafted, demonstrating the band’s shrewd ability to consolidate technical prowess and memorable melodies. Largely about life and death, this new long player release curates tracks that either stop the clock to point to a moment in time or stands back and encompasses the vastness of time and space and living and dying. From lead single ‘Never Be Here Again’, to new single ‘Abyss’, and album closer ‘One More Time Around The Sun’; Balance Of Power’s diverse musicality on ‘Fresh From The Abyss’ leaves a long lasting impression and profiles a band delivering their best album to date.

“‘Fresh From The Abyss’ has been so exciting to make. Written in a time before, during and after the pandemic, we took a  more organic approach this time around. We tested ourselves with new and different ways of song writing and the results have made us very proud to be carrying the ‘Balance of Power’ flame into a new era of our evolution.” – Balance Of Power

Hailing from France, symphonic progressive metal virtuosos SYMAKYA have officially inked a deal with Wormholedeath for their astonishing album “Project 11,” scheduled for release on April 5th, 2024.

The band members expressed their enthusiasm about this significant milestone, stating, “Today signifies a major leap for our band, securing this contract. We believe it will unlock numerous opportunities on our musical journey, ushering in a new era for Symakya.”

Symakya, formed in October 2008 by Matthieu Morand, Kevin Kazek, and Thomas Das Neves, merges diverse musical backgrounds to create a powerful blend of prog, melody, and intensity. With bass virtuoso Julien Kuhn now on board, the band leverages their extensive musical experience.

Matthieu Morand, the frontman of Elvaron and guitarist-composer for Akroma and Dusk Of Delusion, brings a wealth of experience, having released 5 albums since 1997 and performing alongside notable acts like Iron Maiden and Helloween. Kevin Kazek, frontman of Seyminhol, boasts a rich history with 5 albums since 2002 and collaborations with artists like Lord Siggi and Alexander Landenburg (Annihilator). Thomas Das Neves, known for his drumming prowess in Deficiency, Seyminhol, and Heavenly, adds his expertise to Symakya, with a track record that includes recording the album “Virus” and performing at major festivals. Bassist Julien Kuhn, recognized for his contributions to bands like Diamond Dust and Surtr, showcases his skills honed at the Music Academy International and the Conservatoire de Metz.

Symakya’s project is rooted in the exploration of ancient astronaut theory, drawing inspiration from the holy bible, classical literature, and the works of Greek and Roman writers. The band has crafted a unique universe of conquest, beliefs, and mythology that reflects metaphysical and ufological themes throughout human history.

In “Project Eleven,” the band embarks on an inner adventure, delving into the quest for signs and evidence to explain human evolution, complexities, and the pursuit of truth. Their music, influenced by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and the robust ’90s power metal scene, integrates diverse orchestral elements, creating a distinctive blend with a touch of progressive metal. Inspired by iconic bands like Iron Maiden, Tool, Shadow Gallery, Tourniquet, Pain of Salvation, Judas Priest, Symphony X, Kamelot, and more, Symakya’s sound encapsulates a fusion of these influences, offering a compelling sonic journey.

03 Phenomenon
04 Lunar Obsession

ANA Hit with Frenetic Energy in ‘Ouroboros’ Music Video & Single

ANA are a suspenseful, mysterious, and soulful female-fronted symphonic metal band from Melbourne (Australia). The band just premiered a new music video and single entitled “Ouroboros“. This is the second single & music video taken from their upcoming EP album The Art of Letting Go which is scheduled to be released on March 29, 2024 via Eclipse Records. The album was produced by Josh Mak & Anna Khristenko, recorded & mixed by Chris Themelco (Eye of the Enemy, Colour & Shade, Naberus) at Monolith Studios, and mastered by Thomas ‘Plec’ Johansson (Groove Armada, Soilwork, Mayhem) at The Panic Room Studio, and the music video was directed by Aaron Mak.

“We wanted the music video for Ouroboros to be a statement on our emergence into the music scene as a novel yet experienced and dedicated group of musicians by placing our best foot forward and showing a glimpse of where we plan to go” says lead vocalist Anna Khristenko. “We have worked with the director Aaron Mak on several projects before and were confident in his ability to perform under pressure and conduct the production in line with our vision. The venue, Musicland, is where we played our debut show, so there was a sentimental motivation at play. The owners and staff of the venue have been extremely supportive of our band from day one, so we felt it appropriate to pay homage to the stunning performance venue they have built. Filming our video there was our way of recognizing their support and contribution to our journey. Due to a tight production schedule, we were only able to allocate 3 hours to film at the venue. It was certainly a challenge, but we aren’t ones to shy away from that. Our entire cast and crew did an amazing job to pull off the entire filming process under these conditions!”

The new EP album by Ana is entitled The Art of Letting Go and the record is a portrait of passionate emotions bared to the bone, the skin peeled back on our hearts showing new vibrant colors. The album was produced by Josh Mak & Anna Khristenko, recorded & mixed by Chris Themelco (Eye of the Enemy, Colour & Shade, Naberus) at Monolith Studios, and mastered by Thomas ‘Plec’ Johansson (Groove Armada, Soilwork, Mayhem) at The Panic Room Studio. Vocalist Anna Khristenko offers us an intimate vocal that is mesmerizing, smooth, and ethereal, yet also rocking, sassy, and badass. Like a magic carpet ride through mist and shadows, the band creates a sense of suspense and payoff like some mystic noir-setting suddenly becoming a lighted path to an absolutely beautiful music that is addictive, catchy, and hauntingly vivid. The arrangements on this record are dynamically intriguing and sonically satisfying. The rhythm guitar patterns are crisp and full, the lead solos electrifying, and the keys used inventively as lead, background, and counterpoint in a variety of soundscapes. The bass is all balls and bottom, and the drums alternate between a deep groove, a force on the march, and flares and fireworks in hummingbird sixteenths smooth as late autumn dusk. Altogether, this record makes the chaotic parts of life seem poetic, and it reinforces to us that there is still room for radiance in our souls, in our lives, in the world. The Art of Letting Go will be released on March 29, 2024 by Eclipse Records.
