In 2023, the esteemed Italian record label Go Down Records marked its twentieth anniversary with a series of celebratory festivals held not only across Italy but also in various international locations. Looking ahead to 2024, the label is excited to announce three additional “Go Down Festivals” set to take place in Germany. These events will be hosted in the cities of Cologne, Erfurt, and Selb, each featuring carefully curated line-ups for a night packed with psych rock and the raw power of rock’n’roll.

Finnish melodic death/doom metal band The Harbinger released a new single and music video ‘Hollow’. The track is taken from the upcoming Gates of Hell EP which is set to be released later this year via Inverse Records.
The band comments: “As the veil between dreams and reality are tangled, you descend into a nightmare prison where demons of your own making force you to question your sanity.
Once the gates have been opened they can never truly be closed, and you will be forever bound to horrors of imagination bleeding through to the waking world.”

From the cracks of concrete hell, Kouvola, Finland, rises a new band with beautiful yearning doom metal melodies and crushing death metal riffs.
The band was formed in the cold winter of 2016. After some line up changes and finding their sound, the band released their first EP ”Shadows Dance” in three singles between 2020-2021. ”Dead Ends” EP was released in 2023 and it felt like the band had sharpened their sound and style.
A New EP “Gates of Hell” is set to be released later in 2024 via Inverse Records.

NEURASTY is a female-fronted metal band that has already gained a certain notoriety and respect in the Italian underground scene through intense concerts and meticulously crafted shows. But now, the group is ready to take the leap by releasing their first full-length album titled “Identity Collapse”.
The album, which will contain eight furious and solid tracks of modern metal with influences from death and progressive metal, will be released by Volcano Records & Promotion on May 24th.
Today, the Italian label reveals the album cover and tracklist. “Identity Collapse” aims to be, according to the band’s intentions, a sonic journey into the deepest psychological and somatic consequences of trauma on individuals, a highly topical theme that imbues the debut album of a promising band with significant meaning and value. In the coming weeks, there will be further previews. For now, here are the titles of the eight tracks contained in the album.

ENMY (pronounced “Enemy”) is a four-piece Hard Rock band originating from Cincinnati, OH. ENMY brings a fresh and energetic sound to modern day rock and Metalcore by crafting a unique blend of soaring vocals, groove oriented instrumental play, and electronic melodies. Since their debut in 2020 with the single, “Demon Eyes”, ENMY has surfaced on multiple Spotify editorial playlists including New Core, New Blood, All New Metal, Hard Rock, and Kickass Metal. ENMY has also appeared on Apple Music Playlists Breaking Hard Rock, New in Rock, and Fresh Blood. In 2021 ENMY had two of their songs “Deceiver” and “DAMN” from their debut album Breaking Down (2021) played on Sirius XM Octane. In late 2023 ENMY signed with artist-owned record label FiXT, joining the label’s exclusive roster for a multi-album deal. Kicking off the partnership, the band worked with FiXT on a special deluxe edition version of the debut album Breaking Down, expanded with additional tracks and the all new Cinematic Version of “Never Healing” with additional bonus material and new music coming in 2024.

Hot on the heels of its latest full-length album, “El cosmos me observa en silencio”, Spanish death-doom metal entity ORNAMENTOS DEL MIEDO spews forth “Escapando a Través de la Tierra”, a six-track concatenation of abysmal atmospheres.
The album will be released on March 15th 2024 via Meuse Music Records and Tragedy Productions.

ORNAMENTOS DEL MIEDO is a death-doom metal project created in 2017 in Burgos (Spain).
The project was born from the ashes of Graveyard of Souls by the hand of Angel Chicote and has always had an atmospheric base as a sign of identity, accompanied by guitars that move between melancholy and despair, navigating over extremely slow rhythms. All this sprinkled with lyrics that revolve around the philosophy, the human condition, trying to see life without veils.
“Escapando a Través de la Tierra”, is ORNAMENTOS DEL MIEDO‘s fifth full-length album, consisting of 6 tracks. As in the previous works, atmosphere, melancholy and heaviness dominate every corner of this album. The lyrics talk about interest disguised as friendship, mental illness, forgotten memories. Here there are no more demons, monsters or fantastic beings than those that life gives us.
April 19th will see Finland’s melodic gothic-doomsters HANGING GARDEN explore intimate dark rock & atmospheric synth-pop on “Citylight Sessions” live EP on Agonia Records. The mini album is set to feature five remade tracks, originally found on “The Garden”.
On “Citylight Sessions”, the Finnish ensemble unveils a journey into the urban and the ethereal. The distinctive release showcases a series of alternative renditions of five tracks from their critically acclaimed album, 2023’s “The Garden”; bringing a fresh, atmospheric perspective to their signature sound.
In an unprecedented move, HANGING GARDEN transforms its sonic landscape by stripping away the familiar cloak of gothic doom metal. Instead, the band embraces a lush symphony of synths, ethereal guitar soundscapes, and drum machines, creating an intimate and hauntingly beautiful experience.
“Citylight Sessions” was recorded during an intimate live performance at the contemporary gallery space of the design company Paja & Bureau. The juxtaposition of HANGING GARDEN‘s haunting melodies against the backdrop of Paja & Bureau‘s innovative design space creates an experience that is delightfully distinct from conventional music venues. The entire performance was filmed and is expected to be unveiled in video format with the EP’s premiere.
