Barely has the dust settled from the latest band wave featuring Greenleaf, Toundra, Causa Sui and Gumm, and Desertfest Berlin is already raising the stakes again. The newest addition is a true heavyweight: YOB will play an exclusive Germany show in 2026!

For over 25 years, the Oregon doom masters have carved a singular path through heavy music – where colossal riffs, sky-bound vocals, and spiritual depth collide. Rooted in doom, stoner, and psychedelic sludge, their sound moves slowly yet hits with overwhelming force, pulling listeners into a transformative live experience.

This latest announcement further raises the bar on a line-up that was already operating at full volume: Red Fang, Russian Circles, Hermano feat. John Garcia, The Sword, King Buffalo, Acid King, Truckfighters, Crippled Black Phoenix, Nebula, Earthless, Rotor, Blackwater Holylight, Zerre, Pelican, High Desert Queen, and many more are set to appear.

Toronto’s melodic death-metal force SELIAS has released the official video for “Abducted”, a track from their latest album Killkarma, out now via Wormholedeath Records.

This release carries a deeply personal message for frontman Guilliaume Pascal (G), a committed vegan whose lyrics aim to highlight the cruelty of industrial farming. “Abducted” flips the script with a brutal role reversal — humankind becomes the caged, the tortured, the slaughtered. What emerges is empathy weaponized, sharpened into an uncompromising metal blade.

Dusktone is proud to announce a collaboration with SHORES OF NULL. And no, we aren’t using the word “collaboration” lightly.

There are endless discussions regarding the health of the music industry and the market: the decline of physical media, the crisis and comeback of various formats, illegal downloading vs. streaming, the touring circuit crisis, and the shift from traditional labels toward self-production and independent artist models. We don’t know which of these issues are truly concrete, which will stand the test of time, and which will be a faded memory five years from now.

At Dusktone, we believe in collaboration. As far as we are concerned, “collaboration” is the keyword defining the future of our music. In such an uncertain and ever-changing landscape, the future will increasingly be shaped by new ways for labels and bands, musicians and industry professionals to relate to one another.

Currently, labels need artists who are communicatively dynamic, savvy in the digital market, and well-integrated into the national and international touring circuits. 

On the other hand, despite market revolutions, bands still need solid labels with strong distribution capable of adding value to physical formats.

Above all, bands and labels still need human connection. Only through constant dialogue can we give shape to artistic visions that are not only sustainable but also—why not?—courageous.

This partnership officially kicks off as the band prepares for a European tour supporting PARADISE LOST, the most significant tour the band has undertaken to date.

Based on these principles, Dusktone and Shores Of Null have decided to join forces for the production, release, and distribution of the new album “Homesick”, expected in Autumn 2026.

Speaking about the concept behind the artwork, the band explains:

Belgian Art-Rock Visionary JESUS CRINGE Unveils New Single & Video ‘Disastrology’

Leading the charge of the “hyperrock” movement, Belgian art-rock visionary Jesus Cringe has officially released his latest single and cinematic companion piece, “Disastrology.” Arriving via Epictronic Records, the track serves as a profound meditation on the collapse of the terrestrial and the inevitable migration of the spirit into the void.

The title “DISASTROLOGY” is freely inspired by The Science of Sleep (Michel Gondry) and the hypnotic rhythm of Koyaanisqatsi. The track eschews traditional rock tropes. In a bold architectural move, Jesus Cringe replaces the standard guitar/bass foundation with the haunting interplay of violin and baritone saxophone, creating a soundscape that is as abrasive as it is orchestral.

The accompanying music video is a visual odyssey that mirrors the track’s philosophical weight. It follows a solitary protagonist witnessing the environmental and social collapse of Earth. In a final act of transcendence, the character escapes into the cosmos, where his physical form dissolves into stardust, a striking metaphor for the project’s recurring themes of human consciousness merging with the digital and spiritual infinite.

Since signing with Epictronic in early 2023, Jesus Cringe (the evolution of the acclaimed 22 for Silicon Alone) has garnered international praise from tastemakers including Prog Rock Journal, Metal Shock Finland, and Tinnitist. With “Disastrology,” the project further cements its reputation for delivering “hyperrock”, an immersive experience where avant-garde rock, sci-fi cinema, and sophisticated arrangements collide.

All-star heavy metal band DEATH DEALER and Massacre Records are deeply saddened to share difficult news concerning guitarist and founding member Ross “The Boss” Friedman.

The band has issued the following official statement:

“We are devastated by the news that our brother, Ross the Boss, has been diagnosed with ALS.

From the very first day this band came together, we have operated as more than musicians, we are a brotherhood. That bond, that loyalty, and that respect for one another will never change.

This diagnosis, however, inevitably changes the road ahead for Death Dealer in terms of new music and live performances. Ross is not someone who can be replaced, nor would we ever try.

His contribution to heavy metal is monumental, timeless, and deeply woven into the fabric of this genre. His legacy stands on its own and will continue to inspire generations.

Right now, our focus is not on stages or studios, but on standing beside our brother as he faces this battle with the strength and courage that has always defined him.

We ask the metal community to keep Ross in your thoughts and to honour him the way he has always honoured the music, with passion, loyalty, and heart.
