Symphonic Black Metal Force DAIDALOS Drops “Euphobia” from Upcoming Album

Symphonic black metal visionary Daidalos announces the premiere of their new single “Euphobia”, debuting today exclusively through Decibel Magazine. The track appears on the project’s forthcoming full‑length, “Dante,” set for release February 20th via Rockshots Records.

Founded in 2020 by multi‑instrumentalist and composer Tobias Püschner, Daidalos has quickly carved out a distinct identity within the modern symphonic black metal landscape. The 2022 debut of “The Expedition” earned acclaim for its atmospheric storytelling and cinematic scope. Now, with Dante, Püschner presents an even more ambitious and personal work, one that transforms the descent into Hell into a psychological journey of doubt, despair, and revelation.

“Dante burns like fire. It’s darker, more focused, and more dramatic. The orchestration is stronger, the guitars more present, and the emotional arc much clearer,” explains Püschner.

“Euphobia”, the fear of joy, stands as one of the album’s emotional centerpieces. Melancholic yet cathartic, the track reflects a world where negativity often overshadows light, and even admitting one’s own well‑being can feel out of place.

“This song is about a society that pushes despair and shadows while suffocating joy. It’s melancholic, but it releases something, too,” says Püschner.

The single is introduced by the interlude “Malebolge”, where rolling stones and rising choirs foreshadow the track’s central theme. The accompanying video amplifies the song’s tension between darkness and fragile hope, aligning with the album’s overarching narrative.

Listen to “Euphobia” via its premiere on Decibel Magazine HERE.

On “Dante,” Püschner composed all orchestration, drums, guitars, and vocals, crafting each track from a single piano melody inspired by passages of Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. The album’s powerful modern production comes from Nahuel Lozano (Mental Cruelty), who recorded guitars and handled mixing and mastering.

The visual world of “Dante” is brought to life through original abstract oil paintings and dotwork by French artist Bérénice Tulliez / Noirs Dessins, expanding the album into a unified aesthetic universe.

Daidalos’ music has been described as moving between the monumental orchestrations of Fleshgod Apocalypse, the dark theatricality of Dimmu Borgir, and the apocalyptic grandeur of Septicflesh, yet “Dante” stands firmly on its own. The album flows as a continuous black‑metal audio drama, especially on vinyl, where interludes and intros merge into a single immersive arc.

“It should feel like a journey. A descent you experience, not just listen to,”
 adds Püschner.

Dragonknight has released a static video for “Waltz Of The Dead Kings”, originally released as Japan-only bonus track of the acclaimed 2025 debut album “Legions”.

The video and its cover art are inspired by the wooden Dragonknight sign by Petja Hänninen:

A millenium has passed, since the Kings were taken to their early grave. Yet, their call is time and time again echoed in taverns, guesthouses and regal chambers by minstrels and bards. This particular revision of the anthem to the Dead Kings has now found its way to the inns of the Old and New Continents after being sung for centuries by unbowing and fearless warriors hailing from the Land of a Thousand Suns Rising – so finish your hearty meal, grab your ale, wine or other more potent spirits, and join the bard as he recounts the tale of the Kings and partakes in their hallowed chant from beyond the veil!

Dragonknight is currently working on the second studio album to be released by Scarlet Records.

“Legions”:

  • debut album for the brand new Finnish cinematic power metal band;
  • each track unfolding a grand narrative of Dragonlords, heroic battles, and mythical realms, immersing the listeners in tales of valor and adventure;
  • produced by Dragonknight; mixed by Mikael Grönroos at Crownhook Studio; mastered by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers West;
  • cover artwork by Tommi Aaltonen;
  • FFO: Blind Guardian, Helloween, Sabaton, Gloryhammer, Twilight Force;

Dragonknight is a new conceptual band baptized by a bunch of seasoned Finnish metal veterans, skillfully forging a smooth and fresh rendering of the classic North European power metal style through soaring melodies, thunderous rhythms, and epic orchestration, fused with crushing riffs – an unforgettable sonic journey of legendary proportions.

The eleven anthemic chapters of the first record “Legions” tell of heart-wrenching battles, strong-willed warriors and the beauty of glorious death, but also the treasure hunts gone awry, conquest, and the inner power to rise from the hopeless pit of despair yet again in the face of adversity – hear the armies and swords clash, seafaring vessels creak and the wings of the serpents soar.

Are you ready to answer the Dragonknight call, join their mighty Legion and, if such fate should fall upon you, DIE FOR METAL?!

Dragonknight are:
Lord Gryphon
Lord Kharatos
Lord Solarius
Lord Othrakis
Lord Salo Khan

WITCHER Release New Music Video for Title Track of Latest Album “Öröklét”

In November of 2025 Hungarian atmospheric black metal duo, WitcheR, released their captivating Öröklét album – a work of hypnotic narrative and spellbinding majesty – through Filosofem Records. Now they have unveiled a new video to accompany the magnificent title track of the Öröklét album. Created over an entire year, the film evokes rituals of pagan witchcraft – a superb visual realisation of a haunting song.

Speaking about the new video the band have said
“We didn’t just want to make a video clip, we wanted to experience the entire year in the spirit of the song.This song and this video are about time. About how everything returns, and nothing passes without leaving a trace.”

The video further deepens WitcheR’s dark, mystical universe, where music, nature, and ancient traditions form an organic unity. The rituals appearing in the clip are rooted in pagan ceremonies tied to solstices, witch traditions, and the cycles of nature.

The long, year-long creative process made it possible for the video not only to tell a story, but also to convey time and cyclicality, and even to document the changing of the seasons.

TRACKLIST:

1. Örökség
2. Szélhozó
3. Röghöz kötött

New album “Öröklét” was released November 4, 2025 on CD and tape via Filosofem Records (pre-order), on vinyl via Beveria Productions (pre-order) and popular streaming platforms (Bandcamp, Spotify, Amazon, Apple, Deezer, Tidal). Cover artwork was done by Grafit & Hamu Artworks.

OMNIUM GATHERUM Drop Surprise Single ‘Moongold’ + Kick Off Extensive European Headline on February 11th

Finnish melodic death metal powerhouse OMNIUM GATHERUM, currently wrapping up the final dates of their Finnish tour this weekend in Jyväskylä and Helsinki, are fueling their upcoming spring live run with a brand-new surprise single, “Moongold.” The song was written and recorded during the sessions for their critically acclaimed album “May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way,” released late last year to widespread praise from the international music press, and serves as a perfect bonus track to complement the album as a whole.

“’Moongold’ follows the overall style of the album. It’s fast and full of energy, and while the song is somewhat stripped down, its layers start to reveal themselves after a few listens. ‘Moongold’ is one of my favorites from these sessions, and I really hope it will make its way into our setlist in the future – after all, this song was written specifically with live performance in mind,” says vocalist Jukka Pelkonen.

“’Moongold’ was originally released as an ‘Eastern wonder,’ meaning a Japan-exclusive around the time the album came out. In the end, we decided to leave it off the album itself, as it didn’t quite fit the overall flow and we wanted the record to be a short, sharp burst of aggression. That said, the song stands very strong on its own as a melodic death metal anthem and is pure OG – perhaps a slightly more old-school version. And now, here it is, served to you and to your loved one, for these moonlit afternoons,” guitarist Markus Vanhala muses.

Kicking off their 30th anniversary year, and widely regarded as one of Finland’s most internationally active touring metal bands, Omnium Gatherum will embark on their European headline tour on February 11, with Fallujah and In Mourning as special guests. The world tour cycle for May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way began already last year with an extensive North American headline tour.

“The calendar is full – just the way it suits us, and there’s more to come. It fits a band whose core is that of an honest, sweaty live machine,” Markus Vanhala adds with a smile.

TRANSONIC SCIENCE (GER)

Their high-energy blend of rock, psych and gritty grunge textures, powered by Ergün Aktürk’s unmistakable voice, has defined decades of underground influence. After a long hiatus, their album Psychobulb returns with loud, honest, fuzz-soaked rock full of soul.

GREY CZAR (AUT)
Hailing from Salzburg, GREY CZAR craft a genre-defying mix of heavy rock, stoner vibes and progressive atmospheres. With twin guitars, keyboards, and multi-vocal harmonies, their release Euarthropodia explores cycles of decline and rebirth, blending immersive storytelling with crushing riffs and introspective passages.

GODZILLA WAS TOO DRUNK TO DESTROY TOKYO (ITA)
From Calice Ligure, Italy, GWTDTT unleash a radioactive combination of heavy psych, fuzzed-out stoner rock, and unhinged energy. Their latest album “Sideral Voivod” continues their mission of chaos, groove and unapologetic rock’n’roll.

STONETRIP to Release New EP with Title Track Single ‘The Fight’ on February 6th

Posted by tarjavirmakari on January 24, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: STONETRIP. Leave a comment

STONETRIP release new EP and title track single ‘The Fight’ independently on CD on 6th February, digital release on 20th March on Golden Robot Records.

Critically acclaimed rockers Stonetrip release their new EP ‘The Fight’ on CD on 6th February, featuring five absolutely cracking rock tracks that are every bit as good as expected from this massively talented band.

Upcoming single “The Fight” captures the quiet tension of wanting more while being trapped in the present. It’s a song about longing, escape, and the fragile hope that change is coming — just not yet. Set against raw, reflective lyrics, it explores the space between who we are and who we’re trying to become, where dreams linger but timing holds us back.

Emerging from the crossroads of dust-inspired grit and melody-driven rock, Stonetrip is a Melbourne-rooted band crafting songs built for the open road, late-night reverb, and restless hearts. Echoing with raw energy and atmospheric storytelling, Stonetrip blends driving guitar hooks, pounding rhythms, and vocals that sit somewhere between anthemic and introspective.

Since forming, the band has become known for: high-impact live performances that turn rooms into rituals Lyrics steeped in travel, struggle, hope, and escape A sound that fuses classic rock sensibilities with modern indie grit.

At once familiar and fresh, Stonetrip’s music speaks to anyone who’s ever felt the pull of the horizon – the ache of departure and the thrill of arrival. Whether it’s the thunder of festival crowds or the intimacy of a laneway show, their sound has a way of sticking with you long after the last chord fades. With each new release, Stonetrip continues to push forward — not chasing trends, but chasing truth through sound.

Mick Malusa / Guitars
Simon Croft / Guitars
