Southeastern Wisconsin heavy rock veterans Carbellion have officially unleashed their intense new music video for “I Don’t Want To Be Your Dog”, directed by Kenny Boufadene of Studio Meltdown. Filmed on location at the Dogs 2 Dog Tags charity training facility in Plymouth, Wisconsin, the video delivers a striking visual metaphor for personal liberation, transformation, and breaking away from destructive habits. The song examines the exhaustion that comes with performing for others at the expense of self-respect. Kellenberger confronts the performative expectations often tied to the rock lifestyle, highlighting the exact moment an artist chooses self-preservation over cheap, reckless entertainment.

“I Don’t Want to Be Your Dog” is the first of three music videos from the band’s upcoming full-length album This Is Our Style, which will be released on November 13, 2026 via rock and metal record label Eclipse Records.

Formed in 2004, Carbellion has built a durable legacy across the American underground through relentless touring, clearly raising them to the caliber of legendary acts like Corrosion of Conformity, Monster Magnet, and Clutch. Fresh off the heels of their 2023 album Weapons of Choice (also released via Eclipse Records), this new visual project reinforces why the Wisconsin quintet remains a vital, uncompromising force in modern heavy music.

“We felt that choosing this song as the first single was a great way to introduce the new album to everyone with our up-tempo rock n’ roll style and high energy delivery.” explains vocalist Cameron Kellenberger. “We’ve always liked the training facility at Dogs 2 Dog Tags as it’s a big room with a giant American flag displayed where they train rescued and donated dogs, giving them to veterans diagnosed with PTSD and anxiety. As most know, we herald our self-defined style as American Heavy Rock so it just felt right to be standing directly in front of a giant American flag. Also, filming myself in a manic state inside a dog cage serves as a visual nod to several themes that have long been part of the band’s identity, while also tying metaphorically to the song itself. At a high level, the lyrics explore the idea of outgrowing the need to be the center of attention and entertainment for others through reckless, self-destructive behavior. To reinforce those themes visually, we used dramatic lighting to create deep shadows throughout many of the shots. Kenny from Studio Meltdown then applied heavy, dirt-style filters during the editing process, giving the video a gritty, raw atmosphere that perfectly complements the song’s message and sound.”

This Is Our Style is the highly-anticipated new full-length album by Southeastern Wisconsin heavy rock veterans Carbellion, and it is set to drop on November 13, 2026. This massive eleven-track collection marks a bold new chapter for the band, delivering their signature blend of desert rock, stoner sludge, and traditional heavy rock. Following up on their acclaimed 2023 release Weapons of Choice through Eclipse Records, the group has spent over two decades forging an original path in the American underground music scene. The album structure consists of ten hard-hitting original compositions alongside a compelling cover of the classic track “Open Up Your Eyes” by alternative rock band Tonic. The first major standout is “I Don’t Want to Be Your Dog,” an introspective track that examines the dark side of the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. The thunderous title track, “This Is Our Style,” serves as an absolute sonic mission statement for the Wisconsin quintet, defining the core identity of the band, celebrating their mutual love for fast hot rods, loud amplification, and the adrenaline rush that comes from pushing both elements to the absolute limit. Finally, the aggressive track “Get Down” acts as a thematic spiritual successor to the song “Barfight” from their previous album, Weapons of Choice (2023, Eclipse Records). This Is Our Style was produced by Carbellion and Chris Djuricic (Nonpoint, Soil, Jungle Rot) at Belle City Sound, and mastered by Andy VanDette (Beastie Boys, Porcupine Tree, Rush) at Evolve Mastering, and the album cover art was created by Chris Schultz. Transatlantic Radio, the international AOR supergroup based in Los Angeles, are pleased to unveil the new single and official video, “Fever Dream”, taken from their debut album “Midnight Transmission”, out now via Frontiers Music Srl. 

Victor Brodén commented: “Our first single from our album “Midnight Transmission” showed a more aggressive, heavy side of the band, and the second single featured a much happier party atmosphere, and now we couldn’t be more excited for our third single “Fever Dream” to showcase a more restrained, sensitive, polished, and sexy side of the band. The song is a 6-minute escape from reality into a dream-like state of slow, synth driven AOR. From the dramatic intro that starts the song and transports the listener through a portal into a slow, neon-soaked dreamscape, to the very sensual ending guitar solo, it’s a journey as much as it is a song.”

“It is one of the songs on this album that took us the longest time to make and we could not be any prouder of the end result. An inspired celebration of classic AOR with a fresh, modern pulse, “Midnight Transmission” marks the official album debut of Transatlantic Radio, a truly international band founded by Victor Brodén, a Swedish-born bassist and producer now based in Los Angeles. 

Conceived during the isolation of the 2020 lockdown, the project was born out of a desire to bring timeless melodic rock back into the spotlight – with a lineup as global as their sound.
Fronted by powerhouse Swedish vocalist Mattias Osbäck and featuring American guitarist R.J. Ronquillo (known for his work with Ricky Martin, Santana, Stevie Wonder, and Stone Sour), the band blends European sensibility with American fire. 

The lush keyboards of Fred Kron – who had his work featured in Anchorman 2 and High School Musical 2, and longtime member of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! band – add cinematic depth and vintage flair. Behind the kit is Chris Reeve, drummer for Filter and Avril Lavigne, whose dynamic style gives the album its drive and precision. At the center of it all is Brodén himself, anchoring the songs with groove, vision, and a deep understanding of the genre’s melodic soul.

Following a string of well-received singles and video releases, Transatlantic Radio made their live debut at the Malmö Melodic Festival 2024, where their sound and presence confirmed that this is more than just a studio project – it’s a band with heart, muscle, and chemistry.
Musically, “Midnight Transmission” is a love letter to the 80’s giants of the genre – Foreigner, Toto, Danger Danger, Starship – but it’s no nostalgia act. Each track balances polish with punch, fusing massive choruses, slick arrangements, and emotionally charged performances with crisp, contemporary production. 

Packed with arena-ready anthems, the album showcases a band fully aware of their influences, yet unafraid to carve their own path forward. “Midnight Transmission” is more than a debut – it’s a statement: melodic rock is alive, and Transatlantic Radio is here to carry the signal.

FERVENCE to Release “Constructs” Full-Length on October 16th, New Video / Single ‘Zenith’ Now Playing

Texas-based progressive metalcore outfit and recent Metal Blade Records signees FERVENCE will release their Constructs full-length October 16th.

Inspired by bands like Deftones, Architects, and Silent Planet, the FERVENCE sound is an ethereal blend of harsh and lush, navigating between moments of sheer aggression and poignant vulnerability. Formed in 2019 in Reno, Nevada as guitarist Trent Odneal’s solo project, FERVENCE released its debut full-length, Ghost, in 2020. The recording was called an “emotionally laden and hard-hitting record that contemplates what it is to be human.”

The band reemerged in 2023 with vocalist Stevie B. at the helm, bringing her unique brand of aggression to the project. FERVENCE toured the West Coast, continuing to build their local following in Reno opening for the likes of Otep, Left To Suffer, and Gideon, and releasing four singles that would make up their second offering, an EP titled Realm//One which was praised for “breaking so many rules in metal.“

On Constructs, the quintet’s Metal Blade debut, FERVENCE delivers eleven dynamic songs that explore, both musically and lyrically, deeply personal experiences surrounding life, death, emotion, and relationships.Now based in Austin, Texas, the band spent 2025 crafting their most fully realized songs to date. Writing post-Ghost, Odneal made a conscious effort to leave more space for the vocals to explore melodies and focused on composition, mood, song structure, and building up to big choruses.

Produced by Odneal and guitarist Austin Bentley and mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren, Constructs features callbacks to the Ghost album, both inconspicuous and conspicuous. “As we have grown together and individually, so have our views on existence and the concepts discussed. Constructs,” Odneal explains, “is a refinement of our ability to convey some of these thoughts in a more generally relatable way, while also adding a bit more insight on other tangential topics.”

Songs like lead single, “Zenith,” address the emotions around prolonged health struggles, and feeling like “being a prisoner in your own body.”

Stevie further elaborates, “The lyrics were inspired by the feelings of hopelessness and depression that come with prolonged health struggles. Dealing with health challenges in your own life, seeing people you love struggle, and just feeling like there is no way out and nothing will ever get better.“

Constructs features 3D artwork by Billelis which captures lyrical themes, while standing on its own as an iconic work of art. “The idea that our identities, relationships, ambitions, and experiences, though beautiful, are ultimately constructs that eventually collapse was something we wanted reflected in the imagery itself,” notes Bentley. “Like the songs themselves, the artwork brings an ominous and almost mythological quality to bear.“

K.K. Downing has had metal coursing through his veins from the beginning, starting in the Midlands region of England where Judas Priest was born. The birth of the Hitmen. For years Rick Monroe has been a solo artist hiring players as needed and doing the Nashville shuffle of interchangeable bands, but during covid everything changed. In 2020, Rick and the band, with Bobby Perkins & Alan Beeler, were set to have an amazing year starting off with a West Coast tour when the world shut down. Instead of everyone going their own way, they all stuck together and started streaming live shows from their basements, garages and living rooms. At the same time Rick and Alan Beeler started a standing Tuesday writing meeting which eventually became the bulk of their current album. Through some mutual friends, Rick met Malcolm Springer and they decided to track a few songs and see how it went. Once in the studio it was obvious that this was quickly becoming more of a band situation and when Malcolm brought Jason Bohl in, the sound finally came together. Rick joked one night about how the band was killing it and bam- someone said “The Hitmen”- and that was that.

Rick Monroe & The Hitmen have long been known for blending heartland rock, classic country, and Southern soul into a sound that feels timeless rather than trendy. With “Our Love,” they reaffirm their place in the Americana and country-rock landscape—delivering a song, and a visual experience, rooted in honesty, nostalgia, and community.

ROSETTA STONE Are Executing Nostalgia with Upcoming Album, First Video Single ‘Shadowban’ Out Today

We live in turbulent times today, but few bands offer a more effective  soundtrack than Rosetta Stone, to the hours we spend not doom scrolling our phones.

Yes, their name and reputation might be firmly preserved in the amber glow of the gothic movement, but with every new album or single release, Stone mainman Porl King delivers both the music and the lyrics that can, for as long as you listen, remind you that there’s a lot more to life than the online headlines are willing to admit.

Rosetta Stone’s first album since 2025’s acclaimed Dose Makes The Poison, Executing Nostalgia, is released on September 25 on CD and startling starburst vinyl. Ahead of that, however, the driving, near-Motorik pulse of “Shadowban” offers an early glimpse into all that is to come, a mantric chant that could go easily have lasted far longer than its 3 minute 40 lifespan, but is no less effective for its brevity.

Of course, King is an old hand at elevating his audience out of the daily grind.  It is 35 years since Rosetta Stone initially arose from the seething miasma of the gothic renaissance, and seven since a recalibrated reformation delivered Seems Like Forever – one of the last truly great albums to hit the pre-lockdown world.

 Since that time, Rosetta Stone have been nothing if not prolific – even as King oversees a gorgeously curated series of reissues and rarities collections, this is the band’s fourth new album in little over two years, a poised and perfect successor to Under The Weather (2024), the covers collection Nothing Is Sacred (2025) and the aforementioned Dose Makes The Poison.

 As for the album’s foreboding title, Executing Nostalgia is surely just another way of reminding us that the future still holds as much promise as the past now appears to – and all we need do is steer our way towards it.  

Because, although there is nostalgia aplenty to be drawn from the album, it is twisted around King’s devastatingly fresh interpretations of some of the gothic movement’s most cherished oldies – “Moya” (Southern Death Cult), “Pagan Love Song” (the Virgin Prunes), “Talk About The Weather” (Magazine) and more.

 The result is a collection that not only delves deep into your consciousness, but also reawakens it, a vibrant minor key clarion call to cut through the endless discordant saxophone solo that so much of modern life now resembles.

 And with that in mind, let’s all go execute some nostalgia. And then realign it in a way that makes sense.
