SYLOSIS Release Music Video for ‘Absent’ Alongside Zetra Remix

SYLOSIS have released a video for the track ‘Absent’, taken from their most recent album, A Sign Of Things To Come. The introspective cut displays a new side of SYLOSIS, as they showcase their masterful understanding of dynamics through post-industrial atmospherics set against their trademark brand of visceral modern metal.

Josh Middleton comments on ‘Absent’ and it’s accompanying video:
“Despite having always included darker and quieter songs in our discography, ‘Absent’ represents uncharted territory for Sylosis, while staying true to our commitment to melody and emotion in our music. The video also breaks away from our usual style, and we’re grateful for director Daniel Grey’s efforts in creating something out of our comfort zone. We’re excited to have invited our new friends, Zetra, to bring a fresh perspective to the track with their reimagined remix. Their dark synth influence really adds a new dimension to the song, which we love!”

In regards to the song’s lyrics, Josh continues:
“This is a more personal song and I wanted to push myself to try a different direction lyrically as well as with the music video. The song is about being so wrapped up in your own troubles that you neglect to see or appreciate that other people around you may be hurting or in a far worse place than yourself.”

Alongside the new video, the band have also revealed a remix of the track by shadowy labelmates Zetra. Their reinterpretation of the track drags the industrial elements of the original to the fore, creating a driving and intense portrayal.

Zetra comments:
“A candle has been lit.
Summoned by the riff, we answered the call to transport ‘Absent’ into our realm.
To strip flesh from bone and be born anew.
Witness its transformation.
Thank you, Sylosis.
Always, Zetra.”

After kicking off their ‘The Great Decay European Tour’ a few days ago, the band from Copenhagen have dropped ‘Plague Bringer (INHUMAN Rework)’ today. Taken from the band’s last album, the highly lauded Magno Interitus, German producer INHUMAN has reshaped this crushing cut and added his own distinctive touch to ‘Plague Bringer’. Listen to the song here: https://cabal.bfan.link/plague-bringer-RW

Singer Andreas Bjulver states:
“If there is something we’ve always loved in CABAL, it’s collaboration and experimentation, so we decided to embrace both of those two things with this rework of Plague Bringer by dark electronic wizard Inhuman. We are super excited that Inhuman managed to create a fresh and new take on our sound, and that we now get to share it with you all.”

INHUMAN adds:
“Excited to announce my collaboration with Nuclear Blast and Cabal on the remix of their hit single, ‘Plague Bringer.’ This rendition is my most metal-inspired take, merging the potent force of electronic production with Cabal’s relentless instrumentation and vocals.
Brace yourself for an intense sonic blend, where metal meets electronica, inviting you to dive deep into the auditive plague. Get ready for an electrifying experience that hits hard and doesn’t hold back.”

Irish AESECT Release New Single + Video ‘Simulcra’

Available everywhere from today, 18th January, AeSct follow their previous stand-alone single, ‘Revolutionary Suicide’, (which was the first new music from the progressive-technical outfit after a lengthy hiatius and a configuration of their old line up), with the captivating Death-Tech melodic instnsity of ‘Simulacra’.

Check out the crushing new single/video via this link.

Commenting on the inspiration for the new single, vocalist/bassist, Willow says; “the concept for the song comes from the term “Simulacrum” or “Simulacra”. This term is usually used when referring to art as a median, however I thought it worked really well when used while referring to psychopathy and the slow descent into madness. Specifically one person’s struggle with multiple personalities and lack of control as to which one you “Are”.

With regards to ‘Simulacra’ giving a good indication as to where AeSect are going creatively, he says; “The album itself is not a concept album so each track has its own theme and vibe, but album is fully loaded with low and slow, heavy, fast, thrashy and groovy riffs, the rest of the guys sync really well musically throughout the album, it’s a joy to watch at times. It’s clear they’ve been playing together for years and share a lot of common influences, which get a subtle nod throughout. I like to think that I throw the odd curve ball in with regards to direction and my influences”.

For now the band are slowly drip-feeding new tracks and have not decided on a concrete release date for the full LP.

The fourth and the last single Our Final Hour is released today and it’s available on all essential streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/ng-final

Comments from the band:
“Final Hour paints a mental landscape of humanity’s last moments before it is too late to change the course. The song is a multi-faceted epic where you get lost in the currents of grooving riffs, painting chords and dark doomsday cacophonies. The voice of guest vocalist Stephanie Mazor is pure and beautiful but also melancholic because the bitter end for us all is near.”

Following their much-acclaimed latest album “Neptunian”, which was released in December 2023 via Noble Demon, Northern Israel-based progressive extreme metallers WINTERHORDE have released a brand new lyric video for “Angels In Disguise”. This captivating song, which features the powerful vocals of Kobi Farhi from the renowned band Orphaned Land, showcases the band’s unique blend of epic harmonies and brutal intensity.

Video credits:
Kobi Farhi was recorded by Alexander Zvulun at AG Studios, TLV
Mixed and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano at Ardo Studios, Portugal
Video by Ingo Spörl / Hard Media
Kobi footage by Alexander Latman & Yoni Oren
Dedicated to Daniel G.

Omer “Noir” Naveh comments: “On this song we had the privilege and honor to collaborate with none other than Kobi Farhi from Orphaned Land, who lent his voice and truly took this song to new heights. Just like our previous collaboration with Vidi on “A harvester of stars”, working with Kobi on this song has been a fascinating experiment in fusing Winterhorde’s style with Kobi’s own flavors and nuances which are a signature of his legendary voice. The result exceeded all our expectations and turned out to be one of the best songs on the album.“

Formed in 2002, WINTERHORDE have been on a relentless quest to evolve and create something extraordinary with each chord they play and record. Their progressive extreme metal sound knows no limits, as they seamlessly blend elements of blackened metal with progressive gems, setting themselves apart as a force to be reckoned with in the world of articulate extremity.

WINTERHORDE has had the esteemed pleasure and privilege of sharing stages with some of the greatest bands in metal at various European festivals, including “Metal Days”, “Rockstadt Extreme Fest”, “OST Mountain Fest”, “Metalhead Meeting”, “Maximum Rock”, and “Metal Yard”. Their performances alongside legendary acts such as Judas Priest, Behemoth, Accept, W.A.S.P, Dimmu Borgir, Keep of Kalessin, Amorphis, Satyricon, and more, have solidified their position as a rising act in the metal scene.
