After the release of their very successful self-titled album Beyond The Black, which was released in January 2023 the band now release a deluxe edition of their album. The deluxe edition features three bonus tracks ‘I Remember Dying (Stranger Reprise)’, ‘Wide Awake (Piano Version)’ and ‘Raise Your Head (String Version)’. Today the band also release their brand new video for ‘Raise Your Head (String Version)’. Their highly-anticipated Dancing In The Dark tour starts in April 2024. All tourdates are listed below.
Jennifer Haben comments about the deluxe edition: “How quickly time flies. It’s been a year since the release of our 5th studio album “BEYOND THE BLACK“. We are very pleased that we can now give our fans a special gift for its anniversary with the digital deluxe edition including 3 exceptional bonus tracks.”
Jennifer Haben states about ‘Raise Your Head (String Version)’: “From the bottom of my heart, in my opinion this bonus “String Version” is one of – if not THE best bonus song we’ve ever released. „Raise Your Head” is a call to everyone who feels trapped in their lives and is looking for a way out. It’s a reminder that we are all capable of breaking free from societal expectations and forging our own path, if only we have the courage to look behind the illusions and “raise our heads“.”

Copenhagen progressive/melodeath act Mother of All returns with their second full-length, Global Parasitic Leviathan, scheduled for 05 April 2024 physically (CD & vinyl) and digitally. As the first excerpt from the album, Mother of All, now operating as a full lineup, is streaming the first track, “Cosmic Darkness,” which questions a new civic religion promising progress from our immoralities.
Martin Haumann, the architect behind the Danish group, states: “‘Cosmic Darkness is the opening number of ‘Global Parasitic Leviathan.’ The new social contract descends from above. A new civic religion promises to turn our dark vices into an engine of progress. But at what cost?”
Find the track on your preferred digital/streaming media AT THIS LOCATION.
Pre-Orders of the album will be issued soon on Bandcamp alongside the reveal of the cover art and tracklisting of the album.
Formed in 2013, Mother of All is the brainchild of Martin Haumann, a sought-after hard-working musician in the Danish and international music scene, having performed with artists like Myrkur, Afsky, Timechild, and Mercenary. With a background in The Royal Danish Conservatory and extensive training in different musical disciplines, Martin draws on varied and unusual influences to create a unique vision for Mother of All, but his prime inspiration comes from the deep cauldron of metal. Continuing to explore the art form with Mother of All, Martin creates songs that are diverse and eclectic in nature by incorporating melodic and progressive elements into death metal.
Exploring existential themes in our current age, Mother of All’s debut album, Age of the Solipsist, is a collaborative effort bringing Steve Di Giorgio (Testament, Death, Sadus) on bass and newcomer Frederik Jensen on guitars, with Hannes Grossmann (Alkaloid, Triptykon, ex-Obscura, Hate Eternal, Necrophagist) taking care of the mixing, mastering and production duties and Travis Smith (Opeth, Nevermore, A7X, King Diamond) crafting the cover art. The album, released in 2021 via Black Lion Records, garnered attention and recognition from metal media all over the world.
The sophomore full-length, Global Parasitic Leviathan, marks Mother of All’s first recording with a full lineup, having recently recruited members from acts such as Lamentari, Chaoswave, and Withering Surface. The new lineup has yielded an enthralling sound and direction for the band, ultimately resulting in an album grander in scope both sonically and lyrically.
Mother of All once again unapologetically confronts challenging and contemporary issues on the new album, which thematically revolves around the pervasive turn to corporate and financial tyranny in the Western world. The diverse aspects covered in each song all tie back to this central theme, examining how individuals and nations are controlled and the ideological underpinnings labeled as a “religion” on the album, justifying such domination. The symbolic use of “the Leviathan,” a biblical sea monster that philosophers usually associate with a King or a sovereign ruler legitimated by God, takes on a new meaning on Global Parasitic Leviathan. The Leviathan, replacing the religions of old, now embodies what the band terms “the religion of self-interest.”

LIONHEART release “Flight 19”, the first single taken from the new studio album “The Grace Of A Dragonfly” (street date February 23rd – Metalville Records).
“Flight 19” relates the story a group of bombers that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle on December 5 1945, after losing contact during a United States Navy overwater navigation training flight from Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale. The song’s industrial choruses convey the mysteriousness surrounding the whole affair.
As soon as the previous album “The Reality Of Miracles” hit the shelves in 2020 Lionheart knuckled down to record the next one. deciding early on that this time they would produce a concept album. The record centres around WW2, but the band very much wanted to make this an anti-war album, while at the same time remembering those who fought for our freedom.
The songs on the album are sensational, with Lee Small’s emotional lyrics reflecting not only the pain and grief inflicted by war on ordinary, innocent people in every conflict zone, but also their strength, resilience and determination. Supported by Lionheart’s superb songwriting, soaring backing vocals, beautiful twin guitar harmonies, and atmospheric keyboards, Lionheart’s sheer power shines brightly from every one of the eleven songs, culminating in a heartfelt prayer for peace in the world.
Each new Lionheart album has brought with it a leap in the quality of the songwriting and production and this album is no exception. “The Grace Of A Dragonfly” is nothing short of epic and is by far Lionheart’s finest work to date.

Winter is now in full swing across most of the US, but Carnation are gearing up for the world’s biggest heavy metal cruise.
Packed in with their bomber jackets and corpse paint, the Belgian band are bringing aboard their new album to go along with more of their classic old-school death metal. “Cursed Mortality is a clinic in relentless riffage and ravenous drive,” writes Angry Metal Guy. “This latest release proves that Carnation is one of the best in the business”.
Carnation aren’t the only Season of Mist artist that are setting sail for warmer climates this month. Saor is also joining 70,000 Tons of Metal for some hellishly good fun under the sun.
70,000 Tons of Metal heads out on January 29 from Miami, Florida. Metalheads will enjoy shore excursions, clinics and workshops with fellow musicians, a belly flop contest and plenty of hard-rocking riffs as they cruise down to the Dominican Republic.
Carnation have been bringing back old-school death metal for the past two decades. On Cursed Mortality’ the Belgian band are still deadly serious about inflicting maximum corporeal punishment. “Maruta” is named after an especially brutal army unit, while “Cycle of Suffering” pumps thunderous double bass kicks over a solo that grabs you by the throat.
But Cursed Mortality also shows off Carnation’s range – literally. “Replicant” flexes clean vocals. Even “Metropolis”, which barrels ahead like a train with its brakes cut, comes with a personal touch; the band are all too familiar with the relentless pace of modern life after vocalist Simon Duson had the life sucked out of him by his last job.
The album’s title track now stands as Carnation’s magnum opus, a nearly eight-minute long reflection on growing old that’s shadowed by melodic leads, gloomy synths and tortured growls.
“This is definitely my favorite record from Carnation”, says A&P Reacts. “It feels like a more natural and focused album”.
Cursed Mortality isn’t a revival. It’s a bold step into the future for one of the most brutally innovative bands in all of death metal.

Personally, we felt that it was about trying to fix things too late. As the years went by we realized it had so much more meaning. Dealing with our own personal losses, wishing to see loved ones again, and wanting to be the person that they could rely on. One more time hits a heavy note of regret and longing for a second Chance to change things for the better.. Realizing the importance of fixing things now instead of putting them off.”
