UK alt-hardcore quintet Higher Power released a video for their track ‘Count The Miles‘, ahead of their highly anticipated sold-out show, at Leeds Brudenell Social Club on last Friday 16th January.

The band’s third studio album, There’s Love In This World If You Want It, was surprise released digitally in summer 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Frontman Jimmy Wizard commented on the video:

“This video was Alex’s concept but one of our favourite things growing up was seeing videos that give you a look behind the curtain! We don’t live and tour like this anymore but I’m grateful for the experiences we had together and it’s cool to have something of a highlight reel of our lives over those years so enjoy!”

There’s Love In This World If You Want It

01. Absolute Bloom
02. Count The Miles
03. All The Rage
04. Better
05. Two Doors Down
06. Lunar Tuesday
07. Kaleidoscope
08. Wide Awake
09. My Sweet Surrender

Inner peace. That’s the aim for us all, isn’t it? Well, the truth is that it is always there waiting for you. You just need to work away a little bit to find it, digging deep and questioning yourself to get closer and closer to achieving that ultimate sense of personal zen. It may not always feel like the search is paying off, but there is always potential for that love, compassion and understanding of who you are to seep through. The journey may be challenging, but you’ll be glad that you took part in it in the end.

For Higher Power, that journey has seen them do things that, when they emerged onto the Yorkshire hardcore circuit in 2015, were never even on their radar. From their innocently frantic beginnings of emulating and celebrating legendary bands like Leeway and Merauder for a new generation, even playing their first two shows in the basement of the house owned by The Flex and at an early iteration of Outbreak Fest respectively, the ten years that have followed have seen them ride every ebb and flow that the music industry has to offer. From touring with everyone from Alexisonfire and Neck Deep to Knocked Loose and Angel Du$t to signing to Roadrunner Records for their sophomore full-length 27 Miles Underwater, they have achieved the sort of things that, up until recently, would never have been on the horizon of possibility for a hardcore band of their ilk. Yet, within experiencing the industry mechanics usually reserved for the highest echelons of rock royalty, they also realised they were drifting away from the things that made them want to do all of this in the first place.

The result of putting what feels right for them first is There’s Love In This World If You Want It, a record that encapsulates the Higher Power spirit in a way that only those whose hearts are truly entrenched in the band can produce. Peeling away layers of assumption and ideology placed upon them by others and focusing once more on the genre-splicing experimentation that inspired them to create together in the first place, they have produced nine songs that showcase exactly what they are made of in a screaming rainbow of colour.

LION’S SHARE Release New Single ‘Another Desire’ from Upcoming Comeback Album “Inferno”

Swedish heavy metal veterans LION’S SHARE return with fire as they unleash “Another Desire”, taken from their long-awaited comeback album Inferno, out March 27, 2026 via Metalville Records.

Marking the band’s first full-length studio album in 17 years, Inferno is already one of the most anticipated heavy metal releases of the year — and “Another Desire” sets the tone with uncompromising riffs, massive hooks, and a dark, contemporary lyrical edge.

Vocalist Nils Patrik Johansson comments on the song’s theme:
“The lyrics of ‘Another Desire’ deal with gangs, brotherhood, money, and the destructive pull of addiction. It’s about loyalty, power, and how easily you can become a slave to drugs and desires you think you control — until they control you.”

Musically, “Another Desire” showcases LION’S SHARE at their most focused and aggressive, blending classic heavy metal power with modern intensity that reflects both the band’s legacy and their renewed hunger.

Guitarist and founding member Lars Chriss adds:
“This song represents exactly where we are today. Heavy, sharp, and straight to the point. After all these years, it felt important to come back with something that hits hard — both musically and lyrically.”

“Another Desire” is available now on all digital platforms, accompanied by an official music video.

Formed in Sundsvall, Sweden in 1987, LION’S SHARE quickly established themselves as a force within European heavy metal, touring extensively alongside legends such as MOTÖRHEAD, SAXON, DIO, MANOWAR, U.D.O., and Dee Snider. Their critically acclaimed catalog includes albums like Emotional Coma and Dark Hours, praised for their balance of crushing heaviness and melodic strength.

Since 2017, LION’S SHARE has operated as a powerful duo with Lars Chriss (guitars) and Nils Patrik Johansson (vocals), supported by trusted collaborators in studio and on stage. With Inferno, the band are ready to reclaim their place at the forefront of heavy metal.

Alongside the release of “Another Desire,” LION’S SHARE have also announced their first live shows of 2026:

THE ETERNAL Celebrate Release of New EP “Celestial” with Music Video for ‘Celestial Veil’

Australian-Finnish dark progressive gothic metal collective THE ETERNAL celebrates the release of their new, critically-acclaimed EP, entitled “Celestial“, that is out now on powerhouse label Reigning Phoenix Music.

To mark the day, the band have unveiled an official music video for “Celestial Veil”, a track that highlights their talent for slow-burning heaviness and emotional depth. The EP is available digitally and as a limited, eco-friendly recycled vinyl LP edition (exclusively available through the band’s official store and the RPM shop). Order your favorite choice of format at this location: https://theeternal.rpm.link/celestialPR

Built on restrained weight and a drifting sense of atmosphere, the new single “Celestial Veil” unfolds like a moment suspended in time. The video mirrors this feeling through cosmic imagery, light meets vast darkness, visually reinforcing the song’s themes of loss, distance, and fragile connection.

Featuring celestial metaphors, “Celestial Veil” captures the longing and grief of separation. As stars fade and time stands still, the song reveals that love, though fragile and doomed, remains a luminous force: eternal in memory and dreams beyond the darkness.

“The lyrics of “Celestial Veil” depict a meditation on loss, memory, and the cosmic inevitability of separation,” the band reveals. “They weave imagery of stars, constellations, and light fading into darkness to reflect the fragility of human connection and the grief of distance between two souls. The recurring theme of time standing still suggests moments of longing suspended against the vastness of the universe, while the celestial metaphors frame love and loss as forces written in the stars—beautiful yet doomed. Despite despair and fading light, Mark clings to memory and dreams, revealing both the pain of absence and the enduring pull of an eternal, though fragile, bond.”

Following the success of their acclaimed 2024 album “Skinwalker”, THE ETERNAL now return with their new EP “Celestial”. Continuing their signature fusion of melancholic atmospheres, doom-laden heaviness, and progressive depth, the band once again delivers an emotive and cinematic journey through sound and spirit, unafraid to embrace both beauty and bleakness while charting new creative horizons.

With Mark Kelson (vocals/guitars) and Richie Poate (guitars) in Melbourne, joined by Niclas Etelävuori (bass, ex-Amorphis/Flat Earth) and Jan Rechberger (drums, Amorphis) in Helsinki, THE ETERNAL have solidified themselves as a truly international collaboration. Their music resonates with fans of acts such as Katatonia, Swallow the Sun, and Anathema – dark yet luminous, heavy yet emotionally transcendent!

“Celestial” Track Listing:

  1. Absence Of Light
  2. Celestial Veil
  3. It All Ends
  4. Bleeding Into Light
  5. Casting Down Shadows
  6. Everlasting MMXXVI

THE ETERNAL is:
Mark Kelson / Guitar & Vocals
Richie Poate / Guitar
Niclas Etelävuori / Bass

“I had ‘En milloinkaan’ as a rough draft on my computer since late summer 2025, and the song took its final form quite quickly at the end of November,” says guitarist Teemu Kuosmanen, who wrote the song. “The recording, mixing, and mastering also went very quickly.”

”The song is about how, even though life doesn’t always go the way you want it to and even though there are all kinds of naysayers and pessimists around you, you can still get through anything if you want to and believe in yourself,” says Kuosmanen. “When I sing it, I feel like I won’t give up and no one can bring me to my knees,” says singer Jori Kärki.

The song is a fast-paced, synth-driven, melodic rock song. The guitar also plays a role, and the chorus is quite big and catchy, in typical Ikirouta style.

Ikirouta is a Finnish melodic metal band from Kajaani, formed in the winter of 2020. They have performed at clubs and festivals throughout Finland and shared the stage with bands like Popeda and Blind Channel and also even the legendary Skid Row. Alt rock favorites Yellowcard have released their new radio single, “Bedroom Posters” featuring Good Charlotte. The song is a new feature version of the “Bedroom Posters” track found on their 2025 album which also includes the band’s first alternative radio number 1 hit with the title track, “Better Days”.

“The new single “Bedroom Posters” is for anyone who holds memories of their hometown near and dear…”, lead vocalist Ryan Key says. “Have you ever come back to visit your hometown and felt crushed by all the memories that led up to the day you left? Have you ever felt like settling down somewhere meant giving up your dream? If so, “Bedroom Posters” is for you.”   Key goes on to share, “We all felt like “Bedroom Posters” was a really special song when we were making the record. The power behind Joel’s vocals take it to an even more impactful place that can truly take you back to the bedroom where you fell in love with your favorite band for the first time.”

“GC and Yellowcard finally have a song together and it feels so right”, Good Charlotte lead vocalist Joel Madden says. I love this band and this song and “I’m so happy we got the GCXYC collab. And now we are going on tour! This is our love language and I hope everyone that listens feels the love that both our bands have for each other, our fans, and for the  music.   I can’t wait for tour!”

About Yellowcard

Yellowcard meant it when they said goodbye. The lights dimmed on one of the most beloved pop-punk and alt-rock bands of the 2000s with intention and authenticity. Wrapping things up with a farewell tour, Yellowcard exited the “right” way, with grace, appreciation, and finality.

But the story wasn’t complete. Legacy cracked the door. Healing blew it wide open. Riding a resurgence that saw the global Ocean Avenue 20th anniversary tour featured in Forbes and a reconciliation that put all four members at peace with their legacy and each other, Yellowcard just made the most ambitious and emotionally resonant record of their career. Better Days, the band’s first album in nearly a decade, was produced by blink-182’s Travis Barker, who also played drums on every track.

Their first release with powerhouse label Better Noise Music, Better Days is Yellowcard’s testimony that healing is a process, growth is nonlinear, and sometimes the best chapter opens after the supposed ending. This isn’t just a return. It’s a reckoning. And this time, Yellowcard is ready.

Yellowcard is:
William Ryan Key – Vocals/Guitar
Sean Mackin – Violin
Ryan Mendez – Guitar
Josh Portman – Bass
