THE SHREDDERZ Unveil New Holiday Classic ‘I Can’t Remember Christmas’

Rarely do songs come along that make a timeless mark in the annals of holiday music. Classics like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” Wham!’s “Last Christmas” and Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” are enduring songs shared by millions each year around this festive time. Masters of metal THE SHREDDERZ are likely not one of these. However…for metalheads who need a little more thrashing and bashing to fuel their holiday spirit, look no further.

THE SHREDDERZ, Erasmus “Raz” Von Ripper (vocals), Weezel (guitar), Vincent Barlow (guitar), Nigel Barrymore (bass) and Donny Deckman (drums), have stepped to the stage to offer up a new everlasting classic holiday metal anthem, “I Don’t Remember Christmas,” that’s a gift of riffs for headbangers everywhere.

Commenting on the new seminal, holiday classic bassist Nigel Barrymore says:

“I can’t think of anything worse than anotha xmas song. They make me wanna shove sharp sticks in my ears. But, according to our contract, we had to make one. Well, Me and tha boys figured, why not write a song that we can all relate to and tell the label to piss off at the same time. So we got drunk and accidentally wrote the best xmas song ever…“

There you have it. Get your stocking stuffed and your chestnuts roasted with THE SHREDDERZ’s blistering new song “I Can’t Remember Christmas” just in time for that old bastard Kris Kringle to squeeze his fat ass down the chimney. It might not be Mariah Carey, but haven’t we suffered enough already this year?

Stream “I Can’t Remember Christmas“: https://orcd.co/cantrememberchristmas

THE SHREDDERZ’s new Christmas song follows the release of their mind-blowing debut, self-titled album that was released a few months back. The critically heralded record features an all-star lineup of guest collaborators, including Gary Holt (Slayer, Exodus), Brandon Ellis (Black Dahlia Murder), Alex Skolnick (Testament), Derrick Green (Sepultura), George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob), Dan Lilker (Anthrax, Nuclear Assault), Taina Bergamaschi & Jessica DiFalchi (Crypta), Dave Davidson (Revocation) and Jessica Pimentel (Brujeria), resulting in some of the most insane shredding on one of the wildest metal records to come along in years!

About THE SHREDDERZ:

Following the blood contract with the Devil, THE SHREDDERZ – Raz, Vincent, Weasel, Donny and Nigel along with their manager Lydia – embarked on an epic quest for fame, fortune and multi-dimensional superstardom, all backed by the power of darkness.

THE SHREDDERZ eponymous debut record features a slew guests including Gary Holt (Slayer, Exodus), Derrick Green (Sepultura), George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob), Dan Lilker (Anthrax, Nuclear Assault), Taina Bergamaschi & Jessica DiFalchi (Crypta), Dave Davidson (Revocation), and Jessica Pimentel (Brujeria, Orange is the New Black).

Satanic panic indeed! The band aren’t the only ones selling their souls around the Shredderverse. Local metalhead and all around miscreant Blaise and his two depraved wasteoid buddies Harry and Tommy (AKA Hemorrhoids) also took the left-handed path, making a pact with the Prince of Darkness in exchange for an underground metal zine called ANCIENT SCEPTRES. What they lack in brain cells, they definitely make up in their love for metal. The first issue of the zine is currently being written and should be released soon. Follow their progress and shenanigans now at https://www.youtube.com/@theshredderz.

THE PROGRESSIVE SOULS COLLECTIVE releases their new studio album “Sonic Rebirth” on March 15th 2024 on Metalville Records.

Finally! Now it’s time for the follow-up album to the debut “Sonic Birth” (2020) which received praise by both fans and critics, this time with a modified line-up.

TPSC are back with full force!  The new release can once again be characterized as progressive metal with a range of elements of the entire progressive genre, this time with even more prog, more catchy melodies, but also more metal and heaviness.

“Sonic Rebirth” marks the logical continuation of its predecessor “Sonic Birth”, and can be understood as the second part of a musical, lyrical and overall sonic concept. With this record to already be the second concept album released by TPSC listeners can find elements they might recognize from the first album such as quotes, references, motifs and melodies besides a lot of new elements. Thematically, both “Sonic Birth” and “Sonic Rebirth” touch on the topic of human development and technology, visually characterized by the robot embryo as a major part of the artwork on both album covers.

The new studio album will once again feature some incredible musicians such as Vladimir Lalic (lead vocals), Megan Burtt (Gingerbomb), Jamie Powell & Simen Daniel Lindstad Børven (Leprous) on bass, Gerald Peter (known for his solo project & his work with Dream Theater’s Jordan Rudess on his Rockestra project & Cirque du Soleil providing keyboard leads & piano, TPSC live drummer Tim Korycki (Tomorrow’s Eve) plus appearances by Adam Marko (drums) & Zsolt Kaltenecker (keys) from SPECIAL PROVIDENCE, Luis Conte (Eric Clapton, Phil Collins) on percussions, Damiano Della Torre (Luciano Pavarotti, Terence Trent D’Arby, Tom Jones, Joe Cocker) on accordion, and many more!

“Sonic Rebirth” was mastered by Reuben Cohen from Lurssen Mastering  who have won multiple Grammy Awards, and who is also known for his work with legends such as Metallica and many other greats.

Mastermind and guitarist Florian Zepf once more was in charge of all compositions and the production.

Conceptionally „Sonic Rebirth“ consists of a total of eight parts. The tracks blend into each other so that the listener can get immersed into futuristic soundscapes and has an uninterrupted and progressive listening experience. “Sonic Rebirth“ is an organic prog-metal album and the logical continuation of the debut with a new generation of top musicians from the prog genre. TPSC are back!

FOLTERKAMMER Share ‘What’s in My Bag’ Video from Purple Passion Sex Shop

‘Tis the season to slay for the hellidays! While tourists and families alike crowd the big box stores in NYC for their holiday shopping, operatic black metal rising stars FOLTERKAMMER had a different idea. During an XXX-mas shopping excursion in NYC, members Andromeda Anarchia, Zac Ezrin, and Brendan McGowan raided the iconic Purple Passion Sex Shop in New York City and are now showcasing their exciting finds with a spicy “What’s in My Bag” feature. You can watch the NSFW video at THIS LOCATION.

ICYMI: Folterkammer recently announced their new union with Century Media Records and unveiled a BDSM inspired new single, “Das Peitschengedicht,” which celebrates the female empowerment of whip-wielding Femdoms. The powerful track can be found along with a lyric video, which was created by Folterkammer drummer and video director Brendan McGowan, at THIS LOCATION.

The single is taken from the band’s forthcoming album, which serves as a counterpart to their 2020 debut, ‘Die Lederpredigt.’ The new record is another searing blend of modern black metal and classical music elements, lending to its Avant Garde sound. The music itself is elevated by frontwoman and vocalist Andromeda Anarchia’s dynamic vocal work as she juxtaposes her classical training as an opera singer with her hellfire screams, summoning a maelstrom of ethereal chaos. More information will be revealed soon – stay tuned!

“Das Peitschengedicht” is now available on all streaming services and can be heard HERE.

Speaking on the empowering themes of the “Das Peitschengedicht” and forthcoming record, Andromeda Anarchia eloquently explains, “This song is our kinky ode to the whip as a torture instrument, and a celebratory hymn to the practices of BDSM, particularly, Femdom. The whip, a symbol of domination, pain and humiliation, is described here not only as playful and kinky, but as a poetic enactment of pain through the depiction of female ferocity on a submissive man, whose back the Domme uses like a canvas.

“It is about this sensual overdrive of stimulation and literally describes the lustful use of a whip as a kind of ‘calligraphy brush’ to write a poem. The dominatrix verbally humiliates her subject while blood runs down his spine; his blood is the ink with which she paints and signs her artwork of pain and ecstasy.

“The song bridges both musically and thematically the old album (regarding a vicious, violent, and abusive ‘Bad Domme’ goddess) and the new one (featuring a badass, erotic ‘Good Domme’). This opens a new chapter with a change defined not only by the expanded instrumentation and new songwriting styles, but also by the way the described dominant female protagonist treats her subordinates and has refined her skills in humiliation games. It’s no longer about being a vicious, exploitative deity, but about being a sensual, naughty, self-confident, kinky lady who knows exactly what she wants, who celebrates female power, who sometimes flirts and cleverly provokes with historical and mythological anecdotes, and even more with her charm and sass.

“This bridging of the debut album and the new album is also reflected in the aesthetics of the video. In the words of our drummer and music video director Brendan McGowan: ‘The ‘Das Peitschengedicht’ video sets the dominating lyrics to footage from the 1922 classic ‘Haxan’ – whose famous images of devils and demons often overshadow the wicked women within it and their blasphemous behavior.'”

DUST BOLT Fuse Disco And Thrash Metal in Brand New Single ‘Disco Nnection’

“When everybody says, something can’t be done, all you gotta do is turn around and say ‘watch me’.
The defiance against conventional norms adds a powerful touch, echoing the spirit of innovation & Rock’n’Roll.“

February 23, 2024 will see German metal frontrunners DUST BOLT strike back with their new studio album, Sound & Fury, via AFM Records, unleashing a record that refines and noisily redefines the band’s sound for a new era! To pre-order your album copy, visit https://dust-bolt.bfan.link/sound-fury

Following previously-released album appetizers such as the furious title track, or songs such as “I Witness”, “New Flame” and the powerful metal-meets-hard rock anthem “Burning Pieces”, today, DUST BOLT are premiering a music video for their new single “Disco Nnection“!

“What should I say about Disco nnection?! I think the song says it all. This tune takes you to the depths of Munich‘s night clubs and Freddie‘s legacy. Munich is a holy place – somehow- when it comes to music history. Queen, Zeppelin, Rainbow, .. they all recorded their albums – and partied here.” DUST BOLT frontman Lenny B. explains.

“During the pandemic I became really attracted to the world of Quincy Jones‘ music & work. I kinda fell in love with 70s music, listening to a lot of disco, pop & soul from that era. They all had at least one thing in common: great musicianship & magical musical passion on their instruments and as a band playing together.

The next day I stepped into the rehearsal room, we had this heavy riff. Straightforward. Metal as hell.

It was obvious. We needed to add a Disco beat. Disco & THRASH? Yep.
When everybody says, something can’t be done, all you gotta do is turn around and say ‘watch me’.
The defiance against conventional norms adds a powerful touch, echoing the spirit of innovation & Rock’n’Roll.“

“Disco Nnection” is now available on all digital streaming services at https://dust-bolt.bfan.link/disco-nnection, the new DUST BOLT video clip is streaming at THIS LOCATION.

Formed in 2007, DUST BOLT have been resolute and ruthless in their pursuit of metal glory over the last 16 years. Childhood friends with a collective passion for metal in all its various forms, the quartet have established themselves as one of Europe’s leading thrash metal bands.

Written during those isolated months of pandemic lockdown, Sound & Fury represents the peak of the band’s creativity, and a major leap forward in every department. The first DUST BOLT record to feature new bassist Tom Liebing, alongside Lenny Bruce, guitarist Florian Dehn and drummer Nico Remann, Sound & Fury grew from a long period of self-reflection that began when the world shut down.

“Sound and Fury was created during the probably darkest and most difficult time for the band.” DUST BOLT revealed. “First time in our lives, since we were kids, we were somehow separated from another and the dream we lived together seemed to stopped. It was during the pandemic days, when the band even decided to take a break from one another, when Flo came up with this beautiful piece of music – not knowing how he would channel and express our feelings, leading to LB putting some Dust Bolt unusual, but heartfelt vocals on it and having Nico introducing a disco beat to a metal song in the end.  We didn’t know what was happening – we just did it.  We did know, there’d be a million voices saying we can’t put this up on a Dust Bolt record. But more than that we knew „as long as we stick together, we can do anything the *** we want“ . Sound and Fury is a story about friendship, struggle & inner turmoil. SuF is a story about us. SuF is a different, open and honest Dust Bolt, sharing their emotion with you and your friends.”

Although still rooted in thrash and old school metal, the new record adds dazzling colour and diversity to the band’s trademark sound. With pummelling grooves, spine-tingling dynamics and a startling, part-melodic vocal performance from Lenny Bruce, with an analogue mix by Moritz Enders [Revolverheld, Silbermond], the new songs mark the beginning of a new era of DUST BOLT destruction. Simultaneously catchier than any previous record and grittier and heavier than before, Sound & Fury is the sound of a great band realising their full potential. Or as DUST BOLT states:

“This album marks the beginning of a new era for DUST BOLT. For Metal in & from Germany. This is just the beginning!”
