Rock and roll royalty PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS have announced details of their upcoming third album Kings Of The Asylum. The album will be released on 1st September through Nuclear Blast Records, and will be the first studio release to feature singer Joel Peters.

To coincide with the announcement, the band have released a video for the album’s first single ‘Schizophrenia’, and announced that they will be playing an intimate release show at The Patriot in Crumlin, South Wales on 7th September. Tickets are on sale now.

BURNING WITCHES Reveal Official Live Performance Video for ‘Evil Witch’

Swiss heavy metal unit BURNING WITCHES have revealed a brand new official live performance video for “Evil Witch”, off of their fresh fifth studio album and Napalm Records debut, The Dark Tower, which dropped last month. The album has already received great attention from critics and fans alike and was peaking at #3 on the official Swiss album charts. Old school heavy metal influences are strong on the blazing witchcraft anthem “Evil Witch”. The epic video gives a taste of what is to be expected when the Witches take the stage. Together with the new visual comes the announcement that BURNING WITCHES are set to support KK’s PRIEST on their upcoming UK tour!    

BURNING WITCHES will open for K.K.’s Priest, the new band of legendary Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing and singer Tim “Ripper” Owens, together with ex-Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di’Anno’s solo project.

On fifteen energetic tracks, BURNING WITCHES ring the bells for a midnight mass in smoky-warm bars. Opening with “Unleash The Beast”, roaring, dueling guitars battle each other with top-notch, fast-paced performances while the energy of the song rises to its climax when the sharp voice of singer Laura Guldemond combines with powerful harmonies. “World On Fire” first gets the listener’s pulse pumping due to the rising tension of flashy guitar work, before melodic six-string solos unite with unbeatable guitar onslaughts and sophisticated drum attacks – underlining conjuring vocal lines that call out for an evening zombie dance! Restless and intense, the fierce women of BURNING WITCHES shred their instruments on The Dark Tower like no other, but with the soft mid-tempo track “Tomorrow”, the witches settle down to gather their strength for just a moment.

Bittersweet melodies float up to the sky like weightless feathers, carrying a message of five confident women. Following their recent signing with Massacre Records, German punk metal fusionists THE IDIOTS have announced their upcoming, tenth studio album, entitled “König der Idioten” (engl. King of Idiots), for an August 4, 2023 release. The pre-sale has just started at THIS LOCATION!

Today, the iconic band has shared a video clip for new album single “Downtown Lover”! Says THE IDIOTS singer Sir Hannes Smith: “The song is about the fact that no matter in which mental, psychological and physical abysses you find yourself, you can bring yourself back to life again.
Musically, the thing goes off like a rocket from the very start and is a mixture of hardcore, metal and punk. The chorus then rises with melody and invites you to…”

With “König der Idioten”, THE IDIOTS are screaming for a better world. Lyrically, as musically, this album is certainly the most extreme and heaviest THE IDIOTS album to date.

“THE IDIOTS are free thinkers and the last 2 1/2 years with this fucking pandemic and the nonsensical, inhuman wars as well as dictatorships have let an insane rage potential boil up in us. We do not eat and consume everything that is served and prescribed to us. Neither do we gobble down everything or belong to the peasants in the new recurring Middle Ages. We don’t let ourselves be distracted or manipulated by corruption, genocide, a surveillance state, cyber wars, and state authority with “bread and games” (soccer & major events).” The band comments. “We stand and fight for respect, diversity, human rights, nature, and animal welfare! Also, we stand up against oppression and any kind of dictatorships and for minorities.”

Be it helping the homeless, fundraising for flood victims, supporting the Sea Shepherd organization or calls and actions for rescuing and supporting clubs, print media, bands and the whole cultural scene – THE IDIOTS put their heart and soul into it. Their new album has become a very explosive mixture of words, music, energy, and anger, which offers fans and listeners a musical firework of a special kind. CLOAK Announce Fall Tour with Ghost Bath + Uada

CLOAK are burning hot and fast. The rising black metal band released their third album at the end of May, and it’s already catching fire. Metal Sucks said ‘Black Flame Eternal’ stays melodic and catchy while hitting harder than the band’s previous albums. New Noise gave the album four stars for bridging the gap between the spirituality of black metal and the abrasiveness of thrash, death metal and hard rock.

Other bands are taking notice, too. Uada are taking Cloak on a 30-plus date tour to support their upcoming album ‘Crespuscule Natura’, along with Ghost Bath.

The slashing, spine-tingling spectacle is all set to kick off on August 30, when these three horsemen of the apocalypse ride into Denver, CO for a show at the Roxy Theatre. They’ll head for the doom and gloom of the Pacific Northwest, then cross into Canada, followed by stops along the Midwest and East Coast, including Cloak’s hometown of Atlanta. The tour will wind down in the desert, with eight flaming shows across Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California.
